So you're going to charge $7,500 to teach someone who has already read The Creature and Omnivores Dillema how to barter gold and silver coins and harvest vegetables. Fucking brilliant. Sorry HH, I'm a long time reader and I used to be a big fan, but I've lost a lot of respect for you. If you truly want to look to the future perhaps your prerequisite reading should include something like Code by Charles Petzold or something that will help you Stone Age types to understand blockchain technology. This time IS different. Beans bullets and bullion are no longer where you want to be. It's fine to have a bit of each (as do I), but this will be a slow collapse. Not like Mad Max. EBT won't quit working overnight, it will just buy less every month. The future only looks bad if you don't embrace it. Blockchain technology, bitchez...

$7,500 is insane.

That said, you sure have a lot of faith in a system that has a more than one single point of failure that can cause the whole thing to stop working.  Further, you have a lot of faith in a system that can be manipulated to create a virtual 1984 environment in order to control you and everything in your life.

Good luck with that.  Count me out.

seeds of the "first war" in the brave new world right here......god, wouldn't it be wonderful if we could start all over again WITHOUT these religions and hocus pocus nonsense from ancient times?

Sadly, with people like you we would still be just as ignorant and stupid as now.  Most religions don't call for harming other people.  People do that.  In fact, the one religion that does call for hurting people was created by a single guy who used it to get power and glory for himself.  Still, the problem isn't religion.  The problem is human nature.  Humans will be greedy, angry, and insane as long as there are humans.  A thoughtful person can see this.  You should try it.

Comprehensive from what I can tell.  I wish now I had not wasted so much time learning advanced quantum mechanics (86 credit hours) and Celtic Art History (24 credit hours) from 735 to 685 BC ... and yet I can't even skin a rabbit! The two chickens I tried to raise died. The three tomatoe plants were attacked by midnight mice who ate the sweet suculent matoes. My bush beans didn't happen after they reached 3 inches tall.

My only living thing outside my house are: 1) a Sage plant that I have caged in so it can't run away; and 2) a real sage brush that blows across my dry yard from left to right....then back again ... in the parching wind.  At least I have a few pet roaches inside the house [don't tell that other poster "Never One Roach" he might get pissed] . I tried to cage a couple of the larger ones after I constructed a wooden cage from popsicle sticks, but the little buggers broke out!

Maybe I'll send one of my Japanese Love Dolls I bought from Tokyo. She doesn't talk much but she listens real well and is a real looker.

We'll see. I'll let HH know if she wants to attend.

In any case Mr and Mrs HH are real swell sharing their knowledge with everyone. I even took up some of the advice from a few of the posts and bought a Benelli M2 a few weeks ago. I love it! Smooth as can be and the little Ms CB loves it too. Not too much kick for her tiny body and she loves the power.

Thanks HH!

Good to hear you like it.  Did you add the bells and whistles?

For Home Defense, Mrs. Horseman suggets a 12 gauge Benelli M2
Tactical shotgun, get the model with the ghost ring sights, and add an Urbino short stock from Mesa Tactical.

Also, do add a Surefire forend light, and tritium night sights for the irons. GG&G release plate and charging handle along with a +2 round Nordic extension tube and an Urban ERT sling and then you are good to go.

50 cal is a specialty thing that involves 15lb-25lb rifles and quite a bit of knowledge and experience to max out the performance of the cartridge.  A good muzzle break means that the recoil is comparable to that of a .308, but it also means that a lot of the muzzle blast is directed back to rattle your teeth pretty good.  On top of that, the rifles are pricey, and so is the ammo.  An '06 will reach out further than most people are competent to shoot.

Talking about women here.... .223 for people and 30-30 for game.  .38 or 9mm for pistola.

Do you really need to ask this stupid question? How likely is it that a beginner's camp session in 'tactical pistol training' for women will include .50cal or larger?

Is the .50cal something you would introduce to women who may have never even held a pistol before?

Disregard the idiot trolls my dear HH. As my grandfather used to say, "there are more horses asses in the world than there are horses."

So is this a real thing? She is really going to teach Homestead 101? I love the concept, though I find the price too steep for my wallet. Would be a great time no doubt.

Love your musings and esp. book suggestions. Keep up the good work.

Sorry, couldn't resist.  The first entry had "Double Entendre" implications; and I didn't want the Guys to carry on with it to embarrass your Missus - hence the added Course Topics.  My Apologies to the Missus in advance.

Noticed you had a book prerequisite.  I recommend the following books for perspective.  Topics these books expand on (e.g., the Gospels never being written prior to the 4th CE)  helped me leave Christiantiy behind.
