This Is How Putin's Advisor Sees The Ukraine Crisis Playing Out
Vladimir Putin's chief "integration" advisor, Sergei Glazyev, has been regularly featured on these pages in the past (see Putin Advisor Threatens With Dumping US Treasurys, Abandoning Dollar If US Proceeds With Sanctions and Putin Advisor Proposes "Anti-Dollar Alliance" To Halt US Aggression Abroad for two examples). So now that the Ukraine situation has once again escalated, this time with both sides openly engaged in trade war and many suggesting all-out war just over the horizon, how does Putin's advisor see the Ukraine conflict playing out?
For the answer we go to Bloomberg:
Putin has sought to lure Ukraine and its more than 40 million people into the alliance to build a trading bloc to rival the EU. Yanukovych pursued closer ties with the customs union and pulled out of an association agreement with the EU before his ouster in February. His successor, President Petro Poroshenko, signed the free-trade accord with the 28-nation bloc in June.
Russia can’t go it alone against the U.S. and must create an “anti-war coalition” to check the “aggressor,” Glazyev said.
“The point of a series of regional wars organized by the Americans, especially today’s catastrophe in Ukraine, centers on the U.S. securing control over all of north Eurasia” to bolster “its position against China,” Glazyev said. “That’s how the U.S. military and oligarchs are trying to maintain leadership in the global competition with China.”
The effort will backfire, said Glazyev, who spoke before a round of retaliatory steps announced by Russia yesterday banning food and agricultural products for one year from the U.S., the EU, Norway, Canada and Australia. The U.S.-led “economic war” against Russia will ricochet, leaving the EU to pay the steepest costs in the conflict, he said.
The trading bloc stands to lose about 1 trillion euros ($1.3 trillion), an estimate he says includes the possible bankruptcy of several European banks and companies toppled after the cutoff in financial and economic ties. An energy crisis in Europe will bring a sharp spike in prices and a loss of competitiveness for European producers. Meanwhile, Turkish, Chinese and east Asian nations will fill the void left by the departure of their European rivals from the Russian market.
The fallout will cost 250 billion euros for Germany alone while pushing the three Baltic states to the brink of an “economic catastrophe,” he said. Lithuania and Latvia will lose the equivalent of half of their entire economic output, and the cost for Estonia will reach 50 percent more than its gross domestic product, Glazyev said.
Where does that leave Russia?
“Task no. 1 is to block those threats to economic security that are now coming from the U.S., neutralize them by reducing the dependence of our external economic activity on the mercy of American politicians, whose aggressiveness threatens the entire world,” he said.
Glazyev's conclusion:
To further insulate its economy, Russia should abandon the use of the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency, according to Glazyev. Russia, which international reserves are the world’s fifth-biggest, needs to diversify its holdings to include China’s yuan, India’s rupee and Brazil’s real. “If a country aspires to reserve status for its currency, it should behave properly, and that isn’t the case today,” Glazyev said.
And this is how Putin sees the world. De-escalation? Good luck.

US Warns Russia: Further Humanitarian Aid Would Be Invasion
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/us-warns-russia-intervention-ukraine-24901180
another red line lol
no one seems to be taking the ussa warnings seriously these days.
i don't get the feeling that RU conducts foreign policy according to nudelman
That is one smart advisor Putin has. Obama on the other hand wouldn't know how to recognize a good advisor if it crawled up his ass and died.
The difference is that Putin's government is real. Obama is not in the government. He's not the naked king, he's the naked jester. That's what psyops in plain sight suggests to me at least.
Putin is in power for as long as he wants to be. No leader in the Western world can say that.
Hasn't more than one done exactly that?
Really folks !?! Are you guys that naive to believe Obama to be the problem? Remember how Obama was supposed to be the "solution" for the Bush problem. Just like Bush was supposed to be the solurion to the Clinton's problem. Do you guys really believe that if for some reason Obama gets out the next person wil be any better? Do you really believe that Putin or any other Russian politician is any better than the ones we have here? Do you guys believe that Yellen is better than Bernanke or Greenspan? Do you guys believe that if the FED gets abolished the next institution to take its place will be any better? The assholes are running this world since the begining and it will be just like this till the end.
As well put the Saker:
There is a basic rule that every Russian kid learns in school, in street fights, in the military or elsewhere: never promise and never threaten - just act. Unlike Western politicians who have spent months threatening penalties, all Russians did was say, vaguely, that they reserve the right answer. And then, BANG!
In this context is that you should read this article.
hehe.
The globalist demon cats from hell are about to learn something... just because you sling some mud at the wall doesn't mean it's going to stick.
The NWO is a dying, cornered animal that's about to be put out of it's misery... as soon as the good guys in the world finally take action.
Its such a cliche but seems true. Every mess I look into I see the hand of a Jew
Who finances ISIS? Reports are that they have $20 billion's worth of assets. This cannot poosibly be spoils. Nobody gets so big so fast without some major money backing. Mainstream media have never asked this question.
Perhaps some ISIS soldiers on bivouac outside Baghdad came across some pallets marked "Property of U.S. Federal Reserve"...
ALL terrorism is state sponsored. Look a Vicky Nuland's budget, 5B$ and she still fucked up.
If you recall, reports were that ISIS had raided one of the banks in the North of Iraq and became the richest terrorists in the world!
You couldnt make this shit up

Americans who are rooting for Russia to prevail over America can: (1) buy a one-way ticket to Russia and experience for themselves all of the wonderful opportunities Russia has to offer a recent American ex-pat, and (2) suck my nuts.
I don't care for Obama but Putin has nothing better to offer the Ukrainians. The only reason Ukraine was able to be taken over from within is because of how much people hated that corrupt symbol of Russian oligarchy/plutocracy Yanukovych. Even the CIA could never have done what they did unless a solid percentage of the Ukrainian people were willing to sacrifice themselves to topple that corrupt buffoon who called himself a "leader." People who actually think Putin is a great leader have no idea how good they have things in America, especially compared to a country like Russia.
And what's so great about Russia? The higher levels of wealth inequality? The bans on naughty words in film and art? The never-ending winters?
A friend of mine is Russian and went to Moscow University. He gave up a good job just to get the fuck out of there and start life in LA, of all places.
I'm not rooting for Putin. I suspect many here wouldn't either if it didn't mean simultaneously gaining some "anti-Obama" cred here on the interwebs. America is the better country, and in case you can't tell, Russia hasn't exactly stepped away from its totalitarian, "communist" past, either. Rather, Putin seeks to reinvigorate it. Many of you who are praising Putin's "strength" are really just praising totalitarian qualities in a leader, which is idiotic, to say the least.
Obama can't act the same way as Putin or else all of BRICS would start whining about how big, bad America is pushing them around again. Putin, on the other hand, just like North Korea, can say and do a fair amount of crazy bullshit like taking over Crimea because his whole 1/8th of the American economy (a.k.a. Russia) doesn't have as many responsibilities as America. Also, Russia likes to play tough, but remind me again -- who has military bases along whose border again? Yeah, that's what I thought. Russia is a sliver of what it used to be prior to the Soviet Union's collapse.
Go America. Russia was purging dissidents by the millions a few decades ago and at the pace they're going in a few more decades they'll be purging millions more. No doubt at the hands of a "strong" Putin-like leader, of course.
Go America...
Yup.
There it went.
"Wall street and the Bolshevik revolution" you think the Russians enjoyed it ? Coming to an American town near you soon.
It won't be the K G B, it'll be the D H S.
If you think the US CIA was in the Ukraine for anything resembling humanitarian purposes you are wilfully blind. We understand that Ukraine is an economic basket case. We understand that Russia is not the greatest country in the world, but we should be offering guidance, not threats at their borders. What the heck are we doing thousands of miles away from our borders? It is not our concern. Russia was not threatening Ukraine. Russia is not threatening us! The US is the one way the hell over there sticking their nose into Ukraines business. Why? Oil? Gas? Concern for the average Joe Ukrainian? The CIA created the political mess in an allready messed up Ukraine. The US should know better. You should feel shame for the US and sympathy for a former soviet nation that is trying to get it right.
Putin has threatened the US dollar, this is the repurcussions, same as its always been.
Only Russia and China's military stand in the way of the US government globalist agenda.
I just hope the dollar crashes before war breaks out, but i fear my hopes are fading.
America is being destroyed by the Wall St. banking mafia.
well, your sentences are complete. too bad that they lack content.
What a moron.
You forgot the /s tag??
The US has created the biggest currency war in history, we are all in a race to the bottom
The US has created a global NSA agency spying on everything and everyone
The US has created a manipulated stock market by bailing out the biggest banks and making them bigger and more corrupt
The US has exported military chaos to the entire world through Israel, Syria and Ukraine
The US is trying to monopolise the global food supply by its Monsanto arm
The US has the largest pharmaceuticals in the world and chooses health measures which are curable and which are not curable and patented
The US is a totalitarian police state with armed vehicles going through the streets on the main city
The US through its DHS has accumulated bullets in its millions and is preparing for civil rest.
Now repeat after me Sir.....'I am more free than a Russian'
The big difference is that a Russian citizen knows exactly what his position in society is and how the State might treat him if push comes to shove.
The US citizen has not got a clue, still thinking that the Government will 'look after him'. It will but not in the way he is thinking.
@SemperFudge, I posted this already but in case you missed it these women hear you loud and clear:

Thanks for the link, Ajax. Women as a group were/are particularly brutalized in Ukraine, as those protests and the statistics on violence, prostitution and sex trafficking demonstrate. I would say Yanukovych deserves to have his face pissed on by all those Femen protestors except for the off-chance he might actually enjoy it.

Our species got here because of food, water and metals.
A two metals served as the basis of exchange.
That's it.
The first bunch of Putin was about food.
The second can be on water (disclose more about how water is in the world for example).
The third beating, so I have almost certesa, will be on coal, not gold as everyone thinks.
You just makes good steel with a good coke, coal and a good, decent iron ore without vulgarity.
The best iron ore is in Brazil, the only two deposits of niobium are in Brazil - there is no niobium stainless steel.
The Apollo capsules only withstood the temperature of re-entry because of the high rate of Niobium who had in the shells.
Look at the periodic table of chemical to how many degrees the iron melts, and how many degrees niobium melts.
Well, Brazil is part of the BRICS.
The Russians are excellent metallurgical Russian rocket engines are fused in Russia and sold to the USA.
You know that joke:

Uai!
Where is Mordechai?
I can not translate a linguistic expression as "Uai".
This would, for example, when an automobile crashes:
- Val, hit the car. ...
Or:
-Uai, There is no money in the account. ...
Mordechai is easier to explain, is all petulant Jew who gets into blogs, every guy is coming out of NY feeling that your nose smells more than the others.
Mordechai's usually not stinky fart, drink perfume.
No way I'm a racist, I'm just stating some types that I saw.

Forgot that there gallows, rope and goodwill of citizens who do not like war.
I'm not religious but I suggest reading the Old Testament, counting how many were killed in the pen, is written there.
All believe that religion is, is not, registration is killed in wars.
History repeats itself.
Unfortunately.

with the internet, the 50% of americans that should be seeking the truth, about what americas govt. is doing on a global scope with your tax-dollars, and your children in the military, while their undermining, and weakening america, probably less than 1/2 do.
the only real good news i here sparreringly in the msm is the other 50% that was ok voting for free tax-dollars are waking up and finding themselves not the political favorites any longer, the strife of finding fairness in america, and their free tax-dollars, are now illegals, and lgbt groups, and it's not setting well.
with nuland, and nato reps. on tape, throwing the eu under the bus, with no denials, whats the people of the eu, and their leaders thinking.

so...problem is washington.... murican blog... so... what the fuck you doin here to write stuff, get guns, gogogogo, hop hop hop
I wonder - why zerohedge has zero articles about Putine regime control over internet - that if you are a blogger that has about 3000 visits a day, you have to register your self as a media and than media law applies on you, or that there is a agency that can block any site that it likes without any court or anything - pure censorship, or if you appear in 2 protest rallies that has not been authorised by Putine regime than you recieve 5 years in prison, etc.
Why no articles about Putine regime bad sides?
And you now.. there is a joke around this region where we live near our "dear friend" - Russia wants peace - a peace of Moldova, a peace of Georgia, a peace of Ukraine.
Why do you care about Mr. Putin? He seems to be your enemy, just ignore him, then.
I am from Slovakia, hence Slav, I admire Russians, I love them, as I love the american people.
I hate american deep state (because it impacts me heavily and makes all troubles on the whole planet) and I have no problem with Mr. Putin, as he dos not meddle in the internal politics here.
What is Mr. Putin doing in his country is his business.
If you need a comaprison, look at US domestic policy and teror, which was sparket by 9/11 FF.
Look at NSA and then dare to mention Russia, some 100 miles far away from NSA.
Look at KK at Guantanamo. It is silly to write it, but you seem to see on ly with one eye.
"What is Mr. Putin doing in his country is his business."
Russia is not his bussines, but he wanted to be that way.
whose business is Russia?
NSA? NED?
Dual citizens, like Garik Weinstein, Chodorkovski, Nemcov, Nudelman?
Does Mr. Putin have 87% approval at home?
And Bush rating was 90% starting war, so what does it tell you? I suppose Hitler also had good rating at home during first phases if war.

I like your comment.

Greetings from Brazil.
Good saying, it is good to see that Russia wants peace in so many regions, if only America wanted peace as well.
Propaganda war is underway. Swaying public opinion still means something.
Viedoklis -- Sveiks!
The reason you see little criticism of Putin here is because 1) the US and world media are full of it (and much of it is false and misleading) so here we try to rectify the balance, and 2) V. V. Putin is truly an exceptional leader. He is certainly Russia's greatest leader since Stolypin (+1911). About how many countries in the world today can it be said that they have the greatest leadership they have known in more than a century?
I lived in Moscow during the Yeltsin years. I remember the old people picking through heaps of refuse to collect bottles and return them for the deposit money because Gorbachev had removed price controls (without putting an end to state monopolies) and so pensions (100 rubles per month -- good money under the USSR) became worthless overnight. I remember Yeltsin sending tanks to shut down the legitimately elected State Duma, ruling by decree, and stealing the 1996 presidential election outright with the help of crony oligarchs in the media – as the US cheered him on, and dubbed him a model democrat. I remember him selling Russian interests down the river in Serbia because he had been bought and paid for by the US. I also remember the car bombs that would explode in front of my office building, and the shoot-out in front of a bank across the street with pedestrians (including myself) having to dive for cover behind parked cars. I remember him, as head of the RSFSR conspiring with this counterpart in Kiev (and Minsk) to terminate the Soviet Union, thus granting independence to Ukraine (and Byelorussia) -- not because anyone there was demanding it (no one was), but because the only way he could become supreme leader was to dissolve the USSR out from under Gorbachev. This gave impetus to the general disintegration of the old Soviet all-Union structure.
I don’t have time to expatiate on all the things V. V. Putin to reverse Russia’s fortunes, but here is a brief list of some of the things he’s accomplished:
•
Russia (like America under my old boss, Ronald Reagan) is back
•
Unprecedented political stability (after the chaos of the Yeltsin years)
•
Liquidated Soviet sovereign debt, eliminating Western leverage over Russia. Russian sovereign indebtedness of 9% (compared to more than 100% for the US and 90% for the EU).
•
Countered Washington’s efforts to absorb Ukraine and Georgia into NATO.
•
Built the North Sea pipeline from Russia to Germany
•
Average of 7.5% GDP growth annually, 2000-2008 (compared to Europe’s perennial stagnation)
•
Foreign exchange reserves of $500 billion
•
Sharply decreased poverty
•
15-fold increase in pensions
•
Built up Russia’s gold reserves
•
Demographic stabilization
•
13% flat income tax (wish we had that)
•
Filling the vacuum left by collapse of Marxism-Leninism with Christianity (while we are increasingly in thrall to an en explicitly anti-Christian cultural Bolshevism.
The Western media claim to hate Putin because he is a “dictator;” they know he is not. In any case, they loved Yeltsin whose rule was vastly more dictatorial. What they hate about Putin is that he refuses to meekly comply, to knuckle under to the New World Order.
As increasing numbers of Americans (and Europeans) have grown to hate the New World Order (for reasons to complex too explore here), seeing as a threat to peace, prosperity, national traditions and nationhood as such. That is why increasing number of Westerns are rooting V. V. Putin. They understand that if he and his countrymen can resist the current onslaught there is hope our leaders will see the unviability of the New World Order and being backing away from it before it crashes and burns and we are all consumed in the wreckage.
" Lithuania and Latvia will lose the equivalent of half of their entire economic output, and the cost for Estonia will reach 50 percent more than its gross domestic product, Glazyev said."
I live in Latvia, those sanctions applies to about 4,6% of all export Latvia does. So -this what Glazyev said is pure lie. And by the way, all those fruits, meat, etc. will be sold to Russia only trough some fictitious company in near country Belarus. That's all folks.
Mr. Glaziev didnt talk about exports (you say 4,6%), it is not enough to learn to read, it is more important to understand, what you read.
"Lithuania and Latvia will lose the equivalent of half of their entire economic output"
That is a factual lie. I pointed out the amount of impact of this product ban to Russia. They are not trusty partners so we don't export to them much at all.
And this is reason why.
Can those two countries import energy at the same price from somewhere else? If yes, why didn't they do it? Why do they source their energy from hated Russians?
Why do you make KZs for russian speakers in your two "democtratic" countries? O yes, you have been killing off all jews, so you think you can now compensate and kill off all Russians with the help of NATO.
I dont hate russians. We trade stuff and import energy from those that give us good price. Why should we not import it from Russia? That doesnt mean we will stand still when Putin occupies Ukraine and wont speak about internet censorship in Russia and brutal oppresion of freedom of speech.
Man, your mind is totally poisoned by the MSM drivel. Where did you see Putin's invasion of Ukraine?...Moreover, what about the US annexation of Ukraine? Who paid for this latest fake revolution? Why all those visits from the CIS/NSA and pentagon to Kiev prior, during and after this latest putsch? Why Joe Biden's son, Hunter, was appointed to the board of the largest Ukraine gas producer Burisma Holdings? etc, etc...
I dealt with a Latvian film crew back in 2009 and some of them told me that bashing Russia is their national sport. BTW most of them prefered to work in Moscow and not in Riga or EU...so go figure...
1. "Men, your mind is totally poisoned by the MSM drivel."
I watch different kind of sources of information. What I see is that West oligarchs fight with Russian oligarchs that is lead by Putine regime. No good side here to see. Ukrainiens will duffer the most. But in this site I see lack of description what Putine regime have did to it's people and to other nations. It's one sided so far. But both criminals should be exposed as they are.
2. Where did you see Putin's invasion of Ukraine?"
From here: http://youtu.be/wMJwdX5IHm8 Only you have to understand russian - I do. And Putine also admited later that there was military forces from Russia in Crimea - we al saw that occupation resulted with annexation.
3. Who paid for this latest fake revolution? Why all those visits from the CIS/NSA and pentagon to Kiev prior, during and after this latest putsch? Why Joe Biden's son, Hunter, was appointed to the board of the largest Ukraine gas producer Burisma Holdings? etc, etc...
It's no fake. Putine had his puppets in Ukraine for long time. They where corrupt till core and people where sick of it - so revolution was for real. Now, who wanted to take over control - that is different issue. Both west oligarchs and Russian regime with it's oligarchs fought for it. West won there so Putine started occupation. It's a fight between two evils.
4. "I dealt with a Latvian film crew back in 2009 and some of them told me that bashing Russia is their national sport."
I have colleagues russians, we work together normal. There is no real problem issue between us. Of course there are also bad examples - but where aren't those?
5. "BTW most of them prefered to work in Moscow and not in Riga or EU...so go figure... "
I didn't get that point? Some company works in Moscow? Ok, why not?
"It's no fake. Putine had his puppets in Ukraine for long time. They where corrupt till core and people where sick of it - so revolution was for real."
So, as long as it is financed by the CIA, it is not corrupt or fake???...
I don't see Putin's daughters being appointed to some of the most lucrative positions in Ukraine, instead, I see Hunter Biden doing just that.
Moreover, why did Ukrainians voted for even more corrupted regime? Is Poroshenko for you one of the good guys? This dude got his start by laundering the money of Soviet times’ administrators. He has never been an entrepreneur to start a business of his own. His entire story was invented. He made a head start thanks to the criminal connections of his father who was sentenced for large-scale theft in 1986. Having served the sentence, Poroshenko Sr. launched his own business making his son involved in the activities. You can do your own research but this thug is as criminal as it gets.
No, it was not faked of financed by CIA.
Realy, have you spent time investigating how people in Ukraine where living? Their demands to remove corrupt till core a Putin puppet president, where legit.
He was stealing wealth from country with his family - big time. So the revolution was very real.
As I said - for taking over control - now there CIA stepped in with both Russian FSB. At that time - Ukranian voiced didn't matter to any of those sides.
Ok, so please - start to understand that if CIA has put it's feet on ground in Ukraine, that doesn't mean that Ukranian demands to remove corrupt president where not legit, and that if CIA has stepped in, than in some way Putin regime is angels that somehow is justufied to occupy Ukraine. It's not.
"No, it was not faked of financed by CIA."
I'm well aware of the mainstream narrative on this subject and I don't buy a single word of it.
The point is that swapping one corrupt regime for another one, that is even more corrupted, is not my idea of freedom. I have nothing else to add here.
Well, how corrupt is US? Can you name any country where is or have not been corrupt goverment?
I don't see any proof from your side to say which goverment is more corrupt than other.
I think you have too much streight forward thinking. You know elite has also inflatraed in so called "alternative media" to spin your head.
If MSM say that Ukranians stand up against corrupt Putine regime puppet, it doesn't mean it's false, what MSM wont say you is that CIA and FSB is working to get their guy in position next. But if CIA manages to do that, that doesn't make FSB as loosers at that fight - some how angels.
Life is not so simple as you think.
"Life is not so simple as you think."
You should repeat it to yourself in front of a mirror.
It's not me who is trained to think in formula: If MSM tells Black than it's actually White. If MSM say A is wrong than actualy B is right.
Now, I do understand that your ego can't coup with this reality. Don't be affraid... think about it.
I expect to get many down votes for this rant, but what the hell, I am what I am...
Like many of those other miniscule European so-called countries, the Baltic states are nasty little POS parasitic countries with nasty penis-challenged inbred loons who blame all of their problems on other nearby larger countries (e.g. Russia) and then they use the pity-pot act to try to mooch and get free stuff from the world.
Hell, Latvia and Lithuania, along with the inbred Banderist loons of western Ukraine, were some of the nastiest Nazis during WW2. It's too fuggin' bad the USSR let these goose-stepping countries surivive the war more or less intact after they had helped Hitler slaughter so many Jews, whom I'm not a great fan of, but large numbers of other people as well (e.g. Slavs, Gypsies, etc.).
In fact, many of the nasty little parasitic European countries should not historically exist if the logical laws of Darwninian history at least somewhat applied. Sheeeit, in what logical universe should countries like Liechtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, and the 'Baltic States' exist? For that matter, why the hell should Israel, Lebanon, and Jordan exist? Little rat hole countries such as these are not self-sufficient and cause all kinds of problems that often lead to wars between larger countries. Hell, there are cow pastures in west Texas that are bigger, more historically significant, and more self-sufficient than lots of these little parasitic countries. Gimmee a break...
I'm a pretty simple historical Darwinist. If some little parasistic country can't support and defend itself and its people against other nearby larger countries over the long haul, it has no reason to exist. Period. And if it continues to exist, it often does so by strirring up shit with larger countries resulting in bloody wars where everybody suffers.
At the end of the day I have little patience for citizens from little shit parasitic mooching countries who constantly whine and stir up shit, blaming other nearby larger countries for all of their country's problems, when their so-called country shoudn't exist in the first place.
I see lot of irrational emotions, bad knowledge of history or at least you have twisted them. From your logic it woul be ok if rome abd greece with its culture never existed if they where defeted with ignorant brutal barbars.
I think we dont have common platform for discusion.
Name other country where 50 000 people gather to sing in one voice - young and old, women and man, tall and small - everyone.
The power of our culture has lived for ever for thousand of years under different kind of oppressors & occupations.

Impressive robots, kind of reminds me of Adolf Hitler’s Nuremberg Rally.
Educate your self. Don't be ignorant.

Don't be jelly of people who has culture and likes to sing & dance.

Man I love our culture :)
http://youtu.be/WLiWpuq8t0Q
Proud to be Latvian!
Ignorant people tend to accuse other's of ignorance. I dance and sing for a living so I have nothing to be "jelly" about...
"“He who joyfully marches to music rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.”
? Albert Einstein
To be proud of being latvian and to love sing & dance - has nothing to do with war and aggresion to other nations.
You have quted something that simply doesn't reflect what I have shown.
Infect if you would spend your time learning of way of life Latvians where living - you would understand it more clearly.
http://www.lituanus.org/1987/87_3_06.htm
For the ancient Latvians and the modern-day Dievturi, the meaning and purpose of life is to live in harmony with the repeating rhythms of Nature (this includes all the gods — even Dievs himself!) and other members of society. This means that a harmonious life is self-justifying — there is no meaning beyond life itself.
The attitude toward life is positive and optimistic (until fairly recently!). One strives for the possession of virtue(s), not the avoidance of sin(s). In fact, the concept of sin is foreign to the dainas.
Life's most basic purpose is to be good. This unwritten imperative implies that if everyone were good, there would be no room for evil or bad luck. All of the virtues guiding one's conduct can be broken down into three categories: (i) the virtues of life and Dievs, (ii) the basic self-ethics or virtues for oneself and (iii) the communal ethics, or the basic virtues as they relate to others.
The two virtues in the first category admonish: Be good! and Be reverential and full of awe for Dievs! The entire code of ethics for the ancient Latvians was positive in tone. One was basically taught what to do and what to be, not what not to do and be.
The four fundamental virtues for self-enhancement and behavior are: Be wise! Be diligent/active! Be beautiful, clean and orderly! and Be cheerful! Wisdom includes the awareness of good things and values, an understanding of goals and purposes. And only wisdom can determine proper behavior toward self, others and Dievs. The virtue of work leads to success both in the mental and material world. Many a daina states that Dievs will not enter a homestead that is not orderly, clean and cheerful.
The last category of virtues are virtues of compatibility: Be full of love! Be easy to live with! Be generous! and Be just! These four virtues provided directives for the Latvians in their interactions with relatives, neighbors, strangers and other clans/nations.
Evil in the Christian sense does not exist as a functional concept. One simply speaks of bad fortune and not living with the dictates of the above virtues. The source of bad things happening is caused by man himself. Nature and the world, including all the calamities, is basically neutral — it simply is. Man determines what to do with it, for better or worse.
Viedoklis, thanks for the explanation. I knew nothing about Latvian culture before. I see the basis of sustainability..
Yawn... A couple quotes from an American author named Mark Twain:
"Patriot: the person who can holler the loudest without knowing what he is hollering about."
"Patriotism is usually the refuge of the scoundrel. He is the man who talks the loudest."
Now you and your fellow country men can go back to singing, waving flags, goose-stepping, and dreaming of being big shots. Just don't be trying start any more wars, like those damned inbred Banderist Nazis from western Ukraine.
Haven't you heard of the rich tapestry of life. If we were all like the English or their wayward colony USA how boring would that be. The problem is not these countries but the arseholes who seem to end up in power the world over.
Viedoklis *
I saw with my eyes oranges grown in Brazil - São Paulo - being played in the pasture when the United States banned the import, I saw milk given to pigs when it happened another embargo not remember which country.
You live in a big city, you need to "100" to live you live on a farm you need "12" to live.
In the city, if you become unemployed you do not die in the field, if you do not receive the $ that produces, or you die or go into town.
Putin hit the Achilles heel of Europe.
You know what a pitchfork, a scythe, a tractor walking in big cities making revolution?
Who lives on the farm knows hunting, can shoot, has health healthier, is a danger to the established government, the French will say.
Viedoklis, you have no idea the shit that it can give.
Europe and nastily evil can produce food for those who live there, imagine how much of that will have to spend $ matter - I do not know where as the BRICS have agreed with Russia.
Brazil is with corn deficit, Russia will have a super crop, USA plague is with the pigs and the prolonged drought followed four years in the West.
No, it's not just the gas that Russia will screw Europe, food too.
As I read these days, if you produce bombs, eat their bombs.
Batman Santa ingenuity, you need to read more about the interactions that take place in the World!
hehe.
I am against EU, against eurozone, etc.
I am for independent Latvians Republic. I don't support NATO invasion in Libya, Iraq, etc.
Now, about food - we have a fight against EU and GMO's. They are complitly baned in Latvia. I for my self grow food in garden. Of course I buy stuff - but at least there is something grown of my self. A food I can trust. Most of latvians have their own country side with their gardens. It's where we relax.
no, you're a troll.
And a shitty one.
Be gone!

Mendolover:
Read: Ives Lacoste - Geography, it serves primarily to make war.
Students in America spend the first nine years studying his fifty-odd states, for them the rest of the world does not exist - I am Professor of Geography in Brazil and I know what I'm saying.
This makes US citizens ignorant regarding the implications and / or interactions between the rest of the planet, one where ethnocentric vision - I am the heart - or ass - the world, the rest is crap.
It is a vision that every guy with darker skin is black, every guy has pulled eye is Japanese, every guy with a Koran is Islamic - and can explode - and so on.
Fortunately the average American, despite being ignorant of geography, has good sense.
They are like us, the rest of the world but rather to blame the government has - and not elected, see how "democratic election" is made in the USA.
Religion in America is a beautiful thing to see, but they believe that Jews are the chosen people, and trying to suck up to God, Jews consider superior, in my understanding began on the wrong foot.
If they were smart, they would have done as the Portuguese who expelled the Jews from Brazil - they were up in New York!
A little history would do well also to Americans for example, know that their government has trained Brazilian military who tortured the current President of Brazil, the president of Uruguay, some relatives of the President of Argentina etc. .
It's what I always say, who draws not forget.
http://news.yahoo.com/russia-demands-internet-users-show-id-access-publi...
Well to Tyler and all the Russian ZH apologists, rationalize this move by Putin. What is he afraid about to start putting controls on the internet use there? For all the soapbox and preaching, I would say Putin is still a tin-pot dictator except that he is supposedly enjoying huge majorities of support in Russia, and of course he wins 'elections' with well over 90% support. I wonder how they might feel after this, or further incursions into their rights.
Snowden also gets 3 more years in Russia quietly, could there be any real doubt who has been behind all of this. And because the POTUS is weak any more because of political opposition, some things that perhaps should be addressed with Russia aren't being addressed because of the partisan coloring of every issue under the sun. Congrats, USA, we also are not the model for anyone to follow, and only because of military might do we have the political credibility. The USA deserves a lot of bashing for the way it does things, but ZH tries to rationalize what Putin and company are up to. Better get it straight, Putin is no friend and never will be a friend to the US again, and Putin is not someone to be looking up to if you're a real American. Cold War II is upon us.
For bloggers with more than 3,000 visitors/views a day. Right?
These measures in Russia are trivial compared to what's happening in the US, UK, EU and Australia et al. Nevertheless, if you're making the point that Russia is not the final bastion of liberty and freedom, then I agree. But I don't think people on ZH are ignorant of that.
Controls and spying on Internet users have been in place in the UK for a few years. RIPA comes to mind. And we know that GCHQ is (according to a team of QCs) unlawfully harvesting all e-mails between domestic users even if their e-mails travel outside the UK as in the case of Gmail & Hotmail etc. Plenty of other controls - secret and otherwise - exist in the UK. It has nothing to do with any rational definition of "terrorism" or "crime". It's because they want to keep tabs on domestic dissent and fear revolution due to their own criminality.
And it wasn't too long ago that the government attempted to introduce legislation requiring that all cellphones were registered to identified/named individuals. This was intended to help GCHQ know who's cellphone they are tapping into, unlawfully.
Poorly written propaganda. The end result is the same as the US unless you can find a small internet cafe, pay cash, spoof your mac address and host information or monitor the local network until a user departs, then mimic their system, use a secure operating system with known good hardware and firmware, use Tails, or the TorBrowser Bundle, JonDoNym, etc... and remain clear of video surveillance as well as the “people of wal-mart” “see something, say something” crowd.
In the US the commoner believes he or she can communicate privately (i.e. gmail “romantic affairs” ROFL) without having the technical expertise to verify that they are doing so.
Russians do not suffer from that illusion.
BTW – For those who are interested:
Tails: https://tails.boum.org/download/index.en.html
Tor Browser: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html
A reminder: If you use anonymizing techniques and then access a site requiring login credentials that verified your account with a public email address, provided credit cards, serial numbers, etc... - you are wasting your time. However, if you are overseas and use an anonymizing system to access a US site securely (https) – i.e. a journalist – it may save you from an uncomfortable encounter with local authorities as well as an interrogation + confiscation of your electronic devices by DHS CBP thugs upon your return.
Bottom line is do not “trust” any of your electronic data processing devices.
I'd advise you to look more deeply into Tor and its 'security'....
did you ever come accross acronym NSA?
"Putin is no freind and never will be....." Okay, but it ain't my fault. I do think though that Putin and Russia would have been chummier if the US had tried just a little. The whole point is, Putin's Russia would not be out to destroy the petrodollar (thus the US economy) if the US would have played nice from the get-go. I'm cheering Putin on this one. The US is totally at fault for creating this situation.
....and at fault for creating the floating petro dollar and exporting inflation. What a fine example we are for the world!
Yawn... I'm sure that the NSA who just read your post approves.
Come to ZH and soak up the cynicism and dark charm sprinkled with a splash of Joo hate. Ahhh, there are no good guys. Sip your coffee and contemplate. I think your all deep cover Buffet bombs.
if you want to understand more, then start here:
some more intersting stuff on dugin and eurasianism at land's blog:
http://www.ufblog.net/the-eurasian-question/
Zio-Nazies hate Alexander Dugin.
"The recent flurry of writing on Russian politics, nationalism and Alexander Dugin shows the contemptible inability of western savants to apprehend any idea beyond the cliche’s of stagnant neo-liberalism. Worse, “Russia specialists” in academia are now tripping over themselves trying to “analyze” Dugin and the Eurasianist idea. Bereft of the vocabulary to understand the concept, they merely apply fashionable labels from western political thought onto Russia in a pathetic and pretentious attempt to show how “dangerous” such ideas are to “European values.”

you just can't get enough, can you? ;-)
You miss the point. I am sure Russia has its share of idiot expansionist nationalists but a great deal of progress had been made in including Russia as a world citizen. The US has imore than its share of these aggressive pricks and unfortunately they have the power at present and are promoting a course of action that could be disastrous. Aggressive US foreign policy has been characterised throughout the world for its lack of success and the same will happen in the Ukraine. Unless of course they see success as death destruction creation of failed states and the resulting "terroism" that we all need to be protected from
you miss the point.
and you actually think dugin is an idiot?

Instead of just posting links all the time how about opinion....there is too much of a thing when it becomes abuse of the site.
Indeed those who continually just sprout hatred of Jews does this site no good and gives it the wrong reputation.
Hatred if it needs to exist should be finely targetted and not to condemn a whole ethinic, racial or religious group because of one 'sect' of it being pure bastards. There are 200 odd million Muslims in Indonesia who enjoy a peaceful harmonious life with the world, likewise Jewish persons and so on. The stupid 'war on terror' after 9/11 had the sole purpose of creating enemies of the state around the world, the attempt to euqate Arab with Muslim with Terrorist and so on....you get the picture....and reading some people here the plan worked pretty welll. FORTUNATELY it is only minority here who are pig ignorant in that respect.
+1 to that.....
True that, but I've seen repeated here over and over the distinction between those of the Jewish religion/race, and the political Zionists, who are not of the Jewish faith/religion/race/culture:
Sleazebag Sen. Joe Biden I'm a Zionist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZvypFPscP8
Good point. Call them Khazars instead of Jews.
Russia is deeply concerned about recent U.S. air force drill in the state of Texas. It is so close to Mexico.
If the plan of the US is to provoke Russia into the Ukriane in order to stoke a NATO/Europe US-proxy war then it is a suicide mission for all.
The US will gain nothing, and in the long run lose out. Such a thing will finally cost the US its reputation, allies and hegemony. The cost that would be born by Europe will be enough for all of them to dump the USA, and create the understanding of the need to work in harmony with countries like Russia.
A Russia NATO Ukraine US-Proxy war will be very very costly in all sorts of ways....and make populations and countries very sick of it very quickly.
PS: And nobody here in condemning the continaul waring tactic of the US believes Russia to be much better, or Putin to be a kind Uncle.
Pestilence, famine, injustice, and war?
Did he lay it out in that order?
Glazyev also says Ukraine will have 500,000 soldiers in its armed forces by the end of the year, which will be used to attack Crimea.
Meanwhile, The Russian Aggression Prevention Act is making its way through Congress. Once passed, it will make Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova into "majlor non-NATO allies", allowing the US to send weapons and troops to Ukraine. $200 million worth of weapons by the end of 2014.
The Russian Aggression Prevent Act also specifies that the US will level sanctions against any nation that recognizes Crimea as part of Russia. This supports the extremist governmnet in Kiev, whose stated policy is to retake Crimea. The new Ukrainian defense minister has stated that he will have "a victory march in Sevastopol", where the Russian naval base is.
The twist is that the Ukraine so-called "government" is probably going to collapse.
See: http://www.globalresearch.ca/ukraines-dystopian-descent-into-military-di...
As its economy and army collapse, the junta leaders grow ever more desperate for a war with Russia that will bring NATO/US direct intervention. Putin is playing a very tight game, displaying amazing patience. New and more outrageous provocations can be expected.
If all else fails, I would expect the Ukies to pull troops out of the battle for Donetsk and use them to launch a hopeless attack on Crimea. Expect Russia to slap them down while US howls for war, but not pursue them.
The greatest danger moment may be when the Uke army collapses before an attack by the resistance forces, who then begin to pursue them to Kirkov, Dniepopetrovsk and on to Kiev. The US will frame this as Russian aggression, much as they framed the collapse of the South Korean puppet army in 1950 as "Communist Aggression".
This time the world will be less quick to believe them.
Scary. Good point.
Like the UK, Crimea has a huge defensive advantage, a moat. There is no way Ukrainian forces would get across it. It is only possible with a full NATO assault and that is WW3.
Don't forget that Crimea is now part of Russia. If Ukraine attacks it is a declaration of war on Russia, so can expect a 'full' response from Russia that would include the destruction of every military asset in the whole of Ukraine. Probably remotely by air and long range weapons. Russia would not want to set foot in the country.
I doubt that the Militia, if they beat the Ukrainian Army, would venture far ourside their own territory apart from srecific revenge strikes. It is not in Russia's interests and Russia would probably not give them the fuel, it is a very long way to Kiev.

I don't think that the average working American was counting on foreign governments around the globe financing the deficits of The United States of America. You can temporarily print fiat paper currency in order to give the impression to the general public that everything's OK, but all those that are knowledgeable about economics know that the drunken party of Keynesianism eventually has to end. What happens is basically very simple reasoning. The global reserve currency that The United States enjoys must have the credibility and confidence that it deserves from the majority of the world's population.Just look around the globe and witness wars, primitive economic activities, violations of citizens basic rights. It's still called FASCISM.The competing economic blocks around the world shows the beginning of the end game for The Dollar. Is modern day Rome going to end shortly? No,but give it time, keep up on world events. You need to watch.Nobody ever thinks that anything different from our normal lives can ever happen here in North America, but major changes are happening as we speak. If you don't have a lot of time and could only choose a few websites to do your own investigations of economics and global events then choose SilverDoctors and KingWorldNews and GlobalResearch.ca.Like Ron Paul and Larry King both say "knowledge is power and question more".Be an independant mindset and a world citizen not a "flag waving, country worshipping, blind fool."
This part of his statement:
“The point of a series of regional wars organized by the Americans, especially today’s catastrophe in Ukraine, centers on the U.S. securing control over all of north Eurasia” to bolster “its position against China,” Glazyev said. “That’s how the U.S. military and oligarchs are trying to maintain leadership in the global competition with China.”
is pure, paranoid, mendacious propaganda of the traditional Stalinist and Hitlerian style. The desire to see those nations who became free of the Russian empire remiain free has nothing to do with "securing control over all of north Eurasia". And "US military and oligarchs" do not work together in a New World order strategy. Anyone can see that Glazyev is projecting from how things work under Putin's new fascism in his own country.
Once again, under the guise of seeming sophistricated, ZH has swallowed anti-American propaganda hook, line and sinker. It's fine to publish analysis of the economi warfare that Russia is waging against Obama's stupid sanctions and to take advantage of the weakness that Obama has inflicted on the US. But don't give any credence to their lies - that doesn't make you look worldly, just gullible.
Zero Hedge has not swallowed anything. BOTH SIDES have stupid governments. The US is the aggressor here...THAT is the point. And there is a ton of reasons besides this issue to be anti- American GOVERNMENT. Hate the state.
Contrarian
Apparently, you are either ignorant or deliberately obtuse to NATO expansionism, PNAC plans for economic control, and Pentagon policy of full spectrum dominance and containment aimed to PREVENT the rise (development) of any nation which MIGHT pose a potential threat to US dominance.
When Russia has hundreds of foreign military bases throughout the world, daily conducts assassinations and drone attacks, renditions and tortures suspects, and claims an "indispensible" right to do so, you can be sure to find us all at ZH condemning Russia for those things (except of course those "contrary").
here's more, perhaps too subtle for the obtuse
----------------------------------------
Mr Obama: It is. …..One thing I will say about China, though, is you also have to be pretty firm with them, because they will push as hard as they can until they meet resistance. They’re not sentimental, and they are not interested in abstractions. And so simple appeals to international norms are insufficient. There have to be mechanisms both to be tough with them when we think that they’re breaching international norms, …… And what is true for China then becomes an analogy for many of the other emerging markets.
And champions interventions when done by "indispensable" USA
Mr. Obama: Well, look, there’s no doubt that a robust, interventionist foreign policy on behalf of certain principles, ideals or international rules is not a tradition that most countries embrace. And in the 20th century and in the early stages of the 21st century, the United States continues to be the one indispensable power that is willing to spend blood and treasure on that.
http://www.counterpunch.org/2014/08/08/obama-continues-psyop-against-rus...
Mr. Obama: The United States will use military force, unilaterally if necessary, when our core interests demand it. International opinion matters, but America will never ask permission …
Mr. Obama: I believe in American exceptionalism with every fibre of my being.
- Obama’s speech at the West Point military academy on 28 May 2014
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In repudiating international law and the rights of independent people and nations, the American president claims a divinity based on the might of his “indispensable nation”. It is a familiar message of imperial impunity, still always chilling to hear.
The US is the biggest bully on the block, with the biggest stick, and don't forget it.
You sir, is straight out wrong. The U.S does not torture suspects;it tortures folks.
So far have not figured out how the "Mordachais" of life receive $ to comment here and break serious conversations.

"Bunch of morons beginners in Blog. "
It really does get old. I call it ziobonics, dumbing down the tone of a blog. The idea is make everyone seem as stupid as they are.
Dublimnimic:
Are not so dumb but deserve the government they have.
Always say, "Democracy" is a thing of "demo" (devil).
Nothing like having a good dictatorship to put things on the bob.
Of course this does not apply to Egypt, Turkey, the Persian Gulf countries, would be too.

ISIS killed few people for a while, when they come to Israel let me know, I'll be in a bunker.
hehe.
Putin need not fire a shot. Just find a way to crash the SP 500 to 1000 and America will absolutely freak out (save the bears of course). If he is not rounding up a super group of elite Russian computer hackers...he's missing the boat.
I’m sorry, but the US and China ARE NOT in competition with one another.
They are, in fact, cooperating in a policy to completely dispossess Americans of their property and rights, to reduce them to utter slavery, or even to exterminate them; at least that’s the story that emerges from testimony before a Congressional subcommittee.
You see, Congress gave Red China possession of the Panama Canal as collateral before China would finance federal debt by purchasing $1.27 trillion of US Treasuries (as of 2014 May).
Now, to liquidate that debt, the US Treasury will have to impose confiscatory taxes on following generations of Americans, or take their possessions and deliver such to Chinese “investors”.
To attempt either one will provoke widespread and violent reactions. The US Treasury simple can’t do it. So, who will?
You won‘t like this answer: when the Chinese took possession of the Canal, they immediately smuggled 150 Triad crime bosses into the US thru the Canal; and, they established an ALLIANCE among Mexican and Columbian drug cartels, Chinese Triads, Chinese communist party, the Red Army, US Congress, US DoJ, DEA among other criminals orgs. Again, this was contained in testimony before the Congressional subcommittee: see my article, Anatomy of a General Plunder, part 2.
This ALLIANCE, you see, will serve as ideal tax-collectors sometime in the near future. In other words, both the American criminal elite and the Chinese criminal elite have much to gain by suppressing Americans to extinction: both imagine it will allow them to keep their booty, and avoid accountability for what they have they have done.
If Americans are to survive, they will have to duplicate what American Founders did, and soon.
(Follow my other comments: click on my name, thanks.)
if my reading is correct, the missing piece from your above discussion is China's leasing of the mao era gold to the US in return for the most favored nation status. As the US reneged on their obligation due Sept 12 2001 via Sept 11, the contract clause for the gold lease kicked in. So they got the panama canal and they also got the JPM building across the Fed. The lease gold is also (rumored) to be secured by IRS fund streams in the event of default. The US has defaulted on the IRS stream also.
I'm somewhat doubtful on the complete picture from congresses testimony.
For one thing, they do not need to smuggle Triad king pins to the US. They have enough resource, $$$ and connections to enter at will. I know this for a fact!
Thus your conclusion that they are not in competition is flawed.
I'm not aware of "leasing mao era gold'; thanks for the tip.
You say, my "conclusion... is flawed".
Please... when considering testimony before a Congressional subcommitttee that China pilfered military secrets from the US; smuggled 150 Triad crime bosses into the US along with other actions harmful to our interests (individually and as a country) - all with complicity of the Department of Justice, Congress, the White House, FBI (among other), what other conclusion can we draw but that they cooperate with one another?
Are you saying that bubba is going to have to get off the couch, turn off american idol and put down his 32 ounce slurpy?
Actually, a little bit more...
right, block Russia with your sanctions. Now consider this, China makes a good 70-80% of global good and China is clearly a partner with Russia, so how is the US of A and the mofo's in the ECB effectively going to sanction Russia. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the DC/ECB/Fed fascist are either suicidal or a larger power is at work here to get the Eastern nations to finish off the US hegemony as quick as possible. Sometimes, all this defies logic. I guess we will never know what the top of the food chain planners want.
The top of the chain needs to eliminate 2/3s of the worlds population.
AP reports:
The United States warned Russia on Friday that any further intervention in Ukraine, including under the pretense of delivering humanitarian aid, would be viewed as "an invasion of Ukraine."
The US knows how to spot a pretense of "humanitarian aid" from miles away.
I think Hagel needs to set up a few more dozen military bases around China's periphery before they figure out they're toast. Luckily, Chinese leaders seem to be asleep at the [military] wheel ... they're too busy buying houses overseas, building Ghost Cities at home, and filling their rivers with dead pigs and air with smog.
"This Is How Putin's Advisor Sees The Ukraine Crisis Playing Out"
On my first reading of the title here, I expected to see someone break an egg into a scalding hot skillet:
"And this is Ukraine on the west's dreggs."
Mean while business as usual.

Jewish racists only want to hang out or learn their own history, in another person's country? wassupwiddit? The same assholes want us to embrace Mexicans here in the US, while cheering for racist Israel as they live in the US, all the while pretending to be just like you and me. Better wake the fuck up, Goy.
Granted that America isn't living up to its promise or its founder's vision.
However, anyone who thinks this derelict administration is aggressively pushing out American power in a mad lust of conquest and plunder is dreaming in color. Obama and TPTB are running on autopilot, doing just enough foreign meddling to be able to plausibly claim they're still trying to secure America's interests while focusing their real efforts on putting cash and power in the hands of their domestic cronies. Plus catching a few rounds of golf.
Also, the Russia love is really starting to wear thin. I give credit to Putin for pursuing his personal and national interests, like a serious world leader, but let's not pretend he's anything less than a brutal dictator living a decadent lifestyle on the backs and blood of his people.
Sure the Czarist / Commies / Russians want a warm water port, but how exactly is Putin "luring" Ukrainians? With death and destruction? That's a page from Stalin's book of love!
"a brutal dictator".....got some credible references on that? And you are seeing something that is not there. It's not "Russia love," it's disgust and shame for the US who has been the beacon of liberty in the past and now is a schoolyard bully with no other purpose than maintaining power over others.
Wow! Nine pages of comments. ZH has grown exponentially, and Glazyev's opinion is much respected. Hopefully, his ideas will be listened to by whatever non-neocons or non Brzezinski disciplesi might still be in the State Department. The Kiev army, taking a page out of the Zionist book, is destroying civilian housing in the Donbass - even using the same excuses! Today, Germany offered to organize a humanitarian mission. Europe is beginning to understand the economic risks of dancing to the US tune.
I think people who participate in discussions such as this one would most certainly enjoy these two videos:

Hmmm... In the midst of all of the hubbub about Obama saving western civilization by bombing ISIS, I wonder if some preliminary "surprising" results from the MH17 crash investigation will start being reported in the next several days, probably buried on page 31, in the travel section in the Joo York Times, and discussed by the Brit dude Richard Quest on his 5 minute 2:15 AM segment "International Travel" slot on CNN.
Of course Faux Noise will never mention mention "bad" MH17 information and will instead continue to bring retired lunatic Generals on to yell about ISIS, HAMAS, and Putin imminently attacking the Godly peace-loving USA. And MSNBC will never mention it because they will endlessly be showing the Russian laser images of Obama eating a banana projected on the US Embassy with Al Sharpton yelling about racist Putin.
No results for a while yet according to the Dutch, sometime in September, text and link below from last week. They seem to be concentrating on human remain recover first. Then when it is safer they will come back to recover the wreckage.
As the US and Russians seem reluctant to say what their military systems really show, it is probable that only the physical evidence on the ground will reveal what happened.
The million dollar question is whether there are fragments of cannon shells or SA-11/17 SAM or R60 AAM warheads or a combination in the wreckage?
Published August 06, 2014 Associated PressAMSTERDAM – The Dutch Safety Board says its preliminary report into the cause of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 disaster will likely not be released until sometime in September.
Flight 17 was shot down in eastern Ukraine on July 17, killing all 298 people on board, most of them Dutch. The Netherlands is leading an international investigation into the cause of the crash.
Safety Board spokesman Wim van der Weegen said Wednesday that normally under International Civil Aviation Organization rules, a preliminary report is published one month after a crash date. But in this case the difficulty in accessing the crash site amid fighting between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatist rebels has pushed the timeframe back.
"It's a very complicated situation," he said.
