Ontario Hospital Treating Nigerian Passenger With Ebola-Like Symptoms
It appears - just as CDC Director Frieden feared - that an escalation of the Ebola virus in Nigeria would mean major risks. While it is too soon for results, City News is reporting that Brampton Civic hospital is taking precautionary measures after a patient who recently travelled to Canada from Nigeria came down with a fever and other flu-like symptoms. This comes on top of the fact, as Time reports, that the CDC has received dozens of calls from all over the United States about people that had gotten sick after traveling to Africa.
A Brampton hospital is taking precautionary measures after a patient who recently travelled to Canada from Nigeria came down with a fever and other flu-like symptoms.
The patient arrived at the emergency department at William Osler Health System’s Brampton Civic Hospital earlier today.
“Osler sees and treats several patients a week with similar symptoms because of its proximity to the airport and over the last week, has put in heightened infection control protocols as a precautionary measure due to the emerging situation in West Africa,” the spokesperson said.
...
“Osler medical experts are working closely with Peel Public Health to confirm a diagnosis,” the hospital said.

Canadian Health authorities have issued this statement:
Canada is already implementing many of the measures being advised by the WHO, including maintaining preparedness to detect, investigate and manage people with Ebola in the unlikely event that a case arrives in Canada. Canada has the capacity to perform diagnostic testing and to manage any ill travelers through the Quarantine Act.
In addition, hospitals in Canada have infection control systems and procedures in place that are designed to limit the spread of infection, protect health care workers, and provide the best care possible for the patient.
There are no confirmed cases of Ebola in Canada and the risk to Canadians remains very low. In fact, there has never been a case of Ebola in Canada, thanks in part to Canada’s close monitoring of the situation and international involvement in rapid diagnostic testing and health surveillance.
The Public Health Agency of Canada recommends that Canadians avoid all non-essential travel to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone due to the ongoing Ebola virus outbreak.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told TIME on Tuesday that it’s received several dozen calls from states and hospitals about people who are ill after traveling in Africa.
“We’ve triaged those calls and about half-dozen or so resulted in specimen coming to CDC for testing and all have been negative for Ebola,” CDC spokesman Tom Skinner said, adding that the agency is expecting still more calls to come in.

Ebola?
My Canadian Friend told me that Canadians are better than that. He also valiantly (but politely) defended that all Canadians shit smells of lavender with with just a sprig of jasmine.

Sealed airports and no fly zone in Western Africa = no Ebola in Canada or the entire western hemisphere.

Note that they make no mention of Nigeria which is the location this presumed ebola victim came from.
Always trust the government.
Take your next vacation in sunny, fruit-bat Nigeria. Then come home and tell everyone about it.
And trust the hospitals...
25000 people a year in the US die because of viruses they contracted IN the hospital...

And staph infections. I got a doozy in a hospital once.
I had my gallbladder removed and ended up with MRSA. They are not ready for Ebola.
That sucks, sorry. Glad you are okay. Had a friend go in with diabetes related stuff and he contracted MRSA too. Weakened him and he died from his other stuff. May not have without the MRSA.
Ebola's a drag. I'd rather be stuck on the side of a mountain with no food or water. Bitchez.
We'll be glad to make that happen for you asshole!
Recovering from meningitis in a large hospital I contracted MSRA in 2000. I was fairly young and healthy and it did not affect me.
I, against doctors and hospital advice , checked myself out of the hospital as I didn't want any of the other old, sick patients contracting it from myself.
Any sane person would stay out of the hospital unless their health was significantly impaired.
amazing, given all evidence provided, folks are still trained towards allopathic medicines, designed for maintenance, not cures.
because cures would interfere with those massive profits cultivated throughout the industry, from insurance to phama to uniformed trained employees.
all maximising those profits. . .
"Ebola has infected the block chain."

too late (as always)
Yeah, fuck it. The US already has a dozen or so vectors. Might as well be a thousand new ones spread all over the country, right? For every case we find and isolate, let 10 more enter. Makes perfect sense.
Got to make sure this fire gets lit!
When gov is serious about public health and safety, they'll close the borders to illegals and shut down air traffic from infected areas.
But they are not serious about those things. They are only serious about what big corps want -- and that is a dumbed down, third world population that works for slave wages. The people need to hang everyone in authority and do what any sane person would do to protect themselves
Undoubtedly, it is too late for that - it is beyond West Africa. It is probably beyond Africa (as in carriers who just aren't symptomatic yet).
Hell, it could be all over Atlanta by now. Time will tell.
Because Obama!
"Ebola posses no significant risk" in in the United States.
UP from "Ebola posed no risk at all until we imported Ebola victims intentionally and refused to limit air flights in and out of this EXACT part of Africa."
(I guess my post was deleted when I listed all the airlines currently booking round trips to Lagos)
one more thing..
I find it incredibly arrogant to explicitly state how one can NOT get Ebola...unless we can, with certainty, explain how the 100 health workers in Africa became infected. Are all 100 of them saying they actually came in contact with body fluids of infected patients? really?
Every post on reddit has a top comment by an expert saying it only happens to people who dont wash their hands

This finite ecosystem we live in has no shortage of human bodies.
I'm almost, but not quite, willing to bet that the fucker is airborne, and will be in nyc within 2 weeks.
Is there a doctor in the house?
my interpretation of "airborne" includes the millions of little droplets that contain the virus that spew forth from a hemoragic (sp) fever victim's cough or sneeze and that may subsequently be inhaled by someone nearby.
am I wrong? or are these droplets considered "bodily fluids?" Not that it matters.
If you're coughing up blood droplets and they tell you to avoid contact with bodily fluids it's a moot point.
When early flu-like symptoms appear (coughing without blood etc.) is the time quarantine must happen. They are telling us it is still safe at this time but I personally would not want to be taking any chances.
Once again... the conditions for exponential transmission (as the virus currently presents itself) simply do not exist in the Western world so don't freak out.
That said lock the fucking flights down NOW you IDIOTS.
In Africa the hygeine is poor and the slums are crowded. Plus many refuse to go to isolation when they present symptoms because they are afraid they are going to die there... which of course most will. You see pictures in the media of dead bodies decomposing on the roadsides and people in bare feet carrying the victims to graves without protection. Simply said in countries where corruption is so rampant money is never spent for things like safe water and proper sewage treatment facilities... well things can get bad quickly.
So let's send whatever we can down there to help them out and shut all travel down before this sucker mutates into an airborne virus because the chance for that (while low) increases every day this thing spreads...
Just a quick search tells me there are some 300,000 people of African descent living in Canada. If only one percent of those people fly to Africa that would be how many chances of Ebola in a major city?
Don't worry though, Harper will headline Ebolastock with Eh, Jewed.
See POTRblog for info on aerosolized ebola, a result of hosing down protective suits of healthcare workers as they exit "isolation wards".
Yes, a microscopic water droplet can carry thousands of ebola viral particles, and it takes but a few to infect someone who inhales.
Technically we refer to bodily fluids as blood, blood products, CSF, pleural, peritoneal, synovial, semen. Respiratory secretions are generally not considered as such. May be a Dr can explain why.
In any case I would not feel safe handling a sputum from an infected patient because, though not obviously bloody, it could contain infected cells.
Miffed;-)
And urine...
Thanks! Knew I forgot something. Ran 50 urine CTNGs today and you'd think it would have clicked. I guess I'll worry when I turn around and it's a brand new world.;-)
Miffed;-)
Sometimes the opposite is true, you know?
It must be strange days there, and getting stranger. Good to see you, Miffed.
Good catch Jena. Hey Miffed, just curious what your take is on the potential for it to come on cargo ships-through the crew from one of the lowly, underpaid workers that just visited his family before going out to sea for 9 months. What about a stow away? Cargo shipping ports are all over the world and some of my friends take a handfull of them out to shop for supplies when they dock here. They can close the planes but what about the cargo/shipping lanes?
They'd be dead before the ship arrived at its destination.
I was wondering how long it lasts on a dead body ... when is it 'safe' to handle? And obviously it depends on things like sunlight and chlorox +/-
The other story on this is that this is a new strain of Ebola. It is not the same as the Ebola in prior outbreaks in Zaire etc.
This implies that medical science does not really know what this strain is capable of.
They also are unable to confirm that it is NOT capable of airborne transmission.
Given the fact that a large number of medical personnel appear to be falling ill, and these folks have a strong vested interest in using the appropriate safety devices and barriers, the implication is that this variation on the virus may have transmission methods other than via direct contact with bodily fluids.
If it goes airborne we can expect those numbers to go off the charts in literally days from it happening.
For a doctor in a containment suit in the hot equatorial sun you are going to sweat. When you sweat the natural response is to wipe or rub the sweat away. The eyes are thus an east conduit for this virus. These doctors are real heroes.
Personally I would get the hell out of there as fast as I could. I am weak coward who does not wish to die yet.
And yet they have some sort of miracle mystery serum that cures this particular strain. Lucky
Those doses they gave the Atlanta 'test subjects' actually did grave damage to anyone's ability to evaluate that particular treatment.
Makes you wonder who authorized it and if they left a paper trail of the pro/con debate.

Use of experimental Ebola drug raises red flags among medical expertsI don't know if HIV was created in a lab or not (I suspect it was), but it reproduces and mutates at an extremely increased rate compared with other viruses. If this ebola is 'new', aka a quantitatively eased version, it will most likely go airborne if it is not already.
The lead up to WWI looks tame in comparison to the headlines today, and we know what those are like: quantitatively eased.
Technically man-made. Accidentally created via serial passage due to needle re-use with multiple waves of vaccinations. In other words, SIV + good intentions + bad execution ==> HIV. It took AIDS researchers quite a while to figure this out BTW, but it fits the facts perfectly and was big news for a time. Turns out serial passage is a great cheap way to make all kinds of super-bugs, so now it's not talked about in MSM due to bioterriosm concerns.
Don't forget mosquitoes. They can fly too. Enjoy the pic-i-nic.
I am a nurse and you are correct.
It better not be airborne.
If people are visiting Lagos, attending some business meetings, and coming back sick then yeah it's probably airborne. But until we get a few of those confirmed it's not as bad as it could be. Though if we do get confirmations you are encouraged to freak the fuck out, I certainly will be.
My thoughts exactly.
The first time someone outside Africa is diagnosed with Ebola (someone who was not treating Ebola patients in Africa), then will be the time to (mildly) freak out, because that will mean that either (a) the epidemic is totally out of control in Africa, or (b) it's gone airborne, simply because the odds of one of the handful of Western non-doctor visitors to Africa catching it has got to be infinitesimal...unless it's airborne, or unless everybody and his brother in Africa already has it.
Business dude died in Saudi Arabia after a business trip to West Africa. Just sayin.
Apparently it's not yet confirmed whether he had Ebola.
http://www.bbc.com/news/health-28678699
"A Saudi man who was being treated for Ebola-like symptoms has died at a hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia's health ministry says. If confirmed, this would be the first Ebola-related death outside Africa in an outbreak that has killed more than 900 people this year. The man recently visited Sierra Leone, one of four countries in the outbreak."
"The Saudi man who was suspected of contracting the disease died of cardiac arrest"
Hmm.
Well that would be conveinent, wouldn't it?
They don't have to tell you anything. They have to tell the WHO, they might tell the CDC just to be polite. But that's it. The rest of us can go pound sand.
I don't want to be paranoid, but that's just the lay of the land right now. Nobody talks to the media -- ever -- they try to contain the spread of disease while appearing on the surface that nothing is going on. That's just how you do it. So that is what they are going to do.
If it gets bad, you'll know. You won't even wonder what you know or how you came to know it -- you'll just know.

Eebolaaaah, oh, oh!
they care more about the economy than they do about containing this outbreak. frieden even mentioned it as a priority. if ebola isn't the big one something else will be because they. don't. give. a. fuck.
There's really not much "they" can do.
The African rulers could stop looting their populations to the point that they have to shit in the street, and the Western rulers could probably improve their quarantine plans, but really it's out of human hands. Epidemics are like the weather.
"Epidemics are like the weather."
hahahahh, cue: hollow laughter. . . aye,
both can be "owned" by the "military". . .
If you mean that people can create epidemics intentionally, sure. But my point was that there's little people can do to prevent or halt natural epidemics (or, for that matter, man-made ones once they're underway).
Amongst those who understand...
The fact that the flights INTO Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea confirms what you say. It's not just our fearless 'leaders', apparently there are still a surprisingly large number of people willing to risk a fatal illness rather than miss a business meeting (or whatever other reason they'd be flying into those places at this time).
Saved by a nick in time. Almost went to bed without getting my dose of Ebola
Scheduled my flight back to LAX today. Still have to get a mask, body suit gloves and I have my UCLA hat (Ebola probaly ain't going to like the UCLA hat). Anyhow they all get thrown in the trash once I get off of the plane.
The only way to contain the Ebola virus is to let Joe Biden talk to the entire nation of Africa from one of Obama's daily fund raisers.

As long as it's a BYOB kinda thang;
Yeah but without ZH (and assuming you don't have access the CDC routine communications, which you might) you probably wouldn't be as well-informed about this as you are.
The rate of infection bothers me. I think this bug is the real deal. It's moved out of the country when it couldn't do that before, and did it in a big way. It's got a longer infectious latency. It's not quite as lethal, people walk around longer potentially spreading infection. And the "survivors" remain very sick tying up health care systems longer than if they had simply died right away.
All the makings of something we won't be able to deal with well, if at all.
Couple of serious questions for both of you.
Isn't it mostly the coating that determines how contagious any virus is...,
and if so, isn't it inevitable that this will become more contagious over time?
Many things determine contagion. Where the virus is found in the body is important to how well it gets out again. How well it can survive outside the body is another. How long it can reside in a host before killing the host is critical, because a dead host is not shedding too many virus. Then, the virus needs to be able to locate and utilize tissues via which it can enter the body of a new host.
So unless it is in the lungs or bowels, is only somewhat lethal if at all, and can survive exposure to air, and can reasonably penetrate another hosts natural defences, it doesn't spread very easily.
Our body defences attack the virus by attaching to and or degrading the virus protein component, if it has one. That is the part our body can key against. When the protein component is damaged the virus like any other machine ceases to function. The way in which this changes how a virus spreads is that if many people in a population already have immunity (or can acquire it quickly) because the protein component is "familiar" then the virus has a harder time moving around, simply because it becomes broken more readily.
I'm not sure what makes one ebola variant more airborne than another, but it will always have something to do with the above overall conditions.
The changes between one variant and another will tend to be very small, but sometimes a rare random change will take the bug to a whole other level, because it can suddenly optimize in one of those areas or another. It is not a directional thing (the virus doesn't plan these moves) however population dynamics dictates that the best pathway will become the dominant pathway, and this can happen very quickly. It is very dangerous to discount how quickly something like this can take off.
Since it is now in cities and travelling around there is no telling what lay in store.
Thanks cougar. Great summary. I thought Frieden's comments were a little more truthful than he intended. He really is counting on chasing down all the contacts and monitoring them until they are no longer contagious, or dead.
Given the conditions in Africa, I doubt that is possible. Certainly if the case load goes much higher, it's a fool's errand.
Frieden was talking in code. Anyone not aware would overlook what he was meaning. Anyone on the ball would come away properly warned.
I got it.
It's looking bad.
I think you nailed it.
So we will probably bleed to death through our ass and ears before the economy resets. How do I prep for this shit?
To be honest, I think it's now a race as to whether the economy resets first or we get a shelter-in-place ebola pandemic. The latter can absolutely trigger the former, in fact a few important countries just closing their borders as a precautionary measure would trigger a significant financial panic and asset sell-off.
On the flip side, a global economic melt-down (from any direction) would create conditions for ebola to spread. For example people would have to leave Lagos in huge numbers and the conditions associated with such a retreat would cause the cases of ebola to rocket. Boat loads of Africans would make their way toward Mediterranean Europe and even if you stopped most of them a few would get through -- carrying mostly infected people even if it started out with only one.
This does not have to remain orderly or contained. The contrary -- disorderly and uncontained -- at some point becomes highly likely. The key to avoiding that is getting in early with containment processes accompanied by deadly force. People don't get to have it their way. And if you can bring food and sanitation you can help people stay calm.
I doubt these measures will be attempted.
Therefore to your point, there is no prep. Support early intervention, and stay out of the way.
And if you are religious go ahead a pray for the Africans.
Depends?
Riddle me this?
Can I get Ebola from a mosquito that sucked on an Ebola carrier and then dined on my ass ?
In short, I don't and will not believe a fucking thing my government tells me. I have common sense. If there is Ebola, I don't want to be in the same zip code. They don't know. They are the crowd trying to convince us they can't find an email.
And my buddy, good friend who I shake hands and pal around ( no funny business) with..... Just went and picked up his girlfriend from the airport. They will perform funny business ( I estimate, right about now!)
How do I know she didn't pick something up off the plane or restroom???
Now what ? Avoid him for 21 days?
Ebola virus is introduced into the human population through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected animals. Once a person comes into contact with an animal that has Ebola and is infected by the virus, it can spread from human to human. Infection occurs from direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, or other bodily fluids or secretions (stool, urine, saliva, semen) of infected people. Semen can contain virus for seven weeks after apparent recovery from the illness. Infection can also occur if broken skin or mucous membranes of a healthy person come into contact with environments that have become contaminated with an Ebola patient’s infectious fluids such as soiled clothing, bed linen, or used needles.
Anyone who has close contact with a person infected with the virus, or someone who handles samples from patients is at risk. This includes hospital staff, family members and laboratory workers, all of whom are at risk if they do not use proper barrier nursing techniques. These precautions include wearing protective gowns, gloves, and masks, in addition to wearing eye protection (eg eye glasses) or a face shield.
Infection generally does not occur through routine, social contact (such as shaking hands) with asymptomatic individuals. The likelihood of contracting any viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF), including Ebola, is considered very low unless there has been direct contact with the blood or body fluids (eg saliva, urine) of symptomatic infected persons or animals, or objects that have been contaminated with body fluids.

So then... how have 100+ medical professionals in West Africa gotten this virus even though they look as if they are suiting up to work inside a nuclear reactor? Needle pricks? If the medicos were that careless they would have been wiped out by AIDs in the 80s.

The ebola outbreak in Guinea is very real, and it's not confined to a few remote villages in the SE (near the diamond fields) and the Liberia/Sierra Leone/Cote d'Ivoire borders- this outbreak has spread to the capital, which has population of over 2 million (and poor sanitation even by African standards).

You do know how to make a fucking point! :)
"or objects that have been contaminated with body fluids."
Pretty sure that's the most important stealth manner in which people will have no idea a risk is there & the only solution is to avoid contact with all unknown surfaces all the time.
Interesting questions.
If this becomes a big deal you will have to start thinking about those issues for real -- along with everyone else -- and that very process is the way in which busines, governance and civil society grind to a halt.
FWIW, that process has now begun.
What are you doing different now, based on what you know? I will ask Miffed this too. Love you kitty, who and whatever you are, thanks in advance.
Don't know about cougar, but I've sworn off fruit bat until after Lent.
Hey kaiser.... when the marauding parties of infected hobbling pestilence approach your neighborhood just remember the first rule, the very mother of all trespass warnings...
... heads on sticks are truly impressive....
Sorry to say it, but there is nothing any of us can do. This is potentially too big for "doing" anything at the individual level.
I'm listening carefully to, and evaluating, any news. I use the term evaluating deliberately, it's a process of both paying attention to what is said, and noticing what is not said, and noticing any changes in how things are being communicated broadly.
I already have a background in biology, and hospital work, and technology. Turns out to be a useful overlap of skills right now. This situation has vectors in all three areas. I'm not really worried right now about ebola, but I have enough direct experience to understand how this could spin out very fast and I'm trying to stay current.
That is all anyone can do.
It is worth studying historic and recent pandemics. You can forget all the "zombie apocalypse" stuff, should it happen a fast moving ebola pandemic will be nothing like that. It will be both more survivable and yet more terrifying, because you won't be able to trust even normal appearing people.
That is where things start to break down; the loss of trust. I try to sanitize my mind against paranoia. A little is healthy but too much is dangerous.
Love you all.
Relax but pay attention. If it helps at all, that is kind of a cat thing. Embrace your inner feline.
For anyone thinking they should consider CDC an authority on Ebola, or anything for that matter, I'd like to draw your attention to Lyme Disease. I spent years studying it as a layman and am very confident in saying CDC is dangerous in their misinformation campaign. It has a lot to do with economics. STAARI, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Lyme in my belief are the same thing. The potentially serious nature of Lyme has been in the news quite a bit. It's much better for the chamber of commerce if "we don't have much Lyme around here" is repeated as much as possible.
Then, there is fierce competition for funding in the pharma business and there is no room for Lyme. The CDC's recommended treatment is absolutely preposterous. I wish I had more time to make my point but I'm in a hurry. Look at the comments in this National Geographic article. If you start digging it's hard to stop.
What Is Lyme Disease? New Findings Deepen the Mysteryhttp://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/02/140228-lyme-disease-borr...
I hate the CDC. Borrelia Burgdorferi began it's life as a weapon.
plenty of "tick borne disease experiments" were/are ongoing in "occupied" Afghanistan,
so pretty sure they've been playing with all parameters for
ever.
"Can I get Ebola from a mosquito that sucked on an Ebola carrier and then dined on my ass ?"
Probably not. What the mosquito injects into you is from its salivary glands. What it sucks out goes into its gut. Malaria is transmissible because it has a life-cycle stage that 'swims' from the gut into the salivary glands to continue the life-cycle. Ebola almost certainly does not have that ability.
If ebola had that ability then it would all along be able to get into people that do not eat bush meat -- like aid workers -- and so far I think that has not been demonstrated at all even once.
It is what it is, and it is not something else, but what it is is bad enough.
I would think a common housefly would consider a meal of blood and diarrhea a delicacy.......
Then where does it go?
As more people succumb, the more flies.....
Can you say electric flyswatter?
RIPS
I'd be sitting in a dank dark room, under the bed pissing myself Miffed... Some things are better left unspoken.
I see a future in "literary expression" for you.
I have asked cougar this question below, also.
Based on what you know, what are you doing different for you and your family, if anything, now.
And DAMN you work with lab specimens. Fuck all!
what is it about norway canada aussie land anf the netherlands and sweden
day alll been taken over by the mossad
ebola which strain?
the one patented by the us military or another variation.
ebola canada means psy operations
aussie land and the canuck lands are at the tip of the spear in many matters
downing of planes etc etc willing fools doing the bidding of the yahudi bankers
it is official ebola in canada is a military psy operation
You guys are too worried; I'm niot. Just buy one of those "Shrunken Monkey Head Ebola Repellents" on Ebay to wear 'round your neck. They are guaranteed to work ... or you money back!
I went with the pickled rooster feet. Not quite as effective, but dirt cheap and a real conversation starter.
Ah, highly effective but only starting at dawn & lasting until dusk. A good bargain.
I doubt very much they will repel Ebola but it does seem like a chick magnet for sure.
A certain kind of woman;)
Nothing to see here. Government says it's all under control.
However, in other news Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird has blamed the Ebola outbreak in Canada on Russia, their Ukrainian terrorist allies, and their latest BFFs, ISIS.
http://olduvai.ca
So I guess all the dead health care workers french kissed, recieved a golden shower or had relations with their patients.
After all, it's not transmitted thru the air or water. Insects perhaps?
Or maybe the Walkin' Dude approaches....
8 of those dead are from Kenema Government Hospital, including Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan. If ~4% of their patients since 2006 tested positive for ebola antibodies, it is reasonable to assume that they unknowingly treated a substantial number of ebola patients over the last 8 years in West Africa, and the facility's safety protocols were generally effective, until this year. Why?
Because it is for sure not airborne. Haven't you been listening? There are people right here on ZH who sound wonderfully intelligent spouting the official "Nothing to see here..." line. I'm sure the 100+ sick/dying/dead healthcare workers were all eating fruit bats and boofing their patients bloody. That and they all got needle pricks thru those safety suits, all of them. Being a healthcare worker is more dangerous than combat infantry dontcha know. It is simply amazing that any of them survived the AIDS epidemic.
Airborne. What a laugh. Sniffle.
yeah, full NBC suits , knee height boots , gasmasks, sealed-in..... and no air contact either
followed by chlorine showers, decontamination, etc
over 100 healthcare infected when the total cases was 1400. so that's 14:1 chance of contamination despite all the above precautions.....
what do you reckon the odds are with none of the above ?
they are better protected than @ fukushima [where paper suits and a mouth-only mask seems to be recommended by tepco].
Reading comprehension does not appear to be one of your strengths. English may not be the only language I use, but I am quite sure of what the implications were in what I have written.
.
phew! thankfully, eh! we is safe.
Your last link was written by crazy pill addict citing a lazy wanna-be reporter who blindly copied and pasted from a basement blogger with a chip on his shoulder and an ax to grind against big chemical businesses. And like the game of telephone the distortion is amplified with each retelling of the fable.
BTW - The virus traveled by road (and I'm being generous with the word "road") from Guekedou to Dabola and then by rail to Conakry (4x times the distance) in less time (confirmed w/ symptomatic patient in the third week of March) than it took it to reach Kenema (fourth week of May).
you can do research on the same names connected, and find all kinds of re-blogging, of course.
plenty of stories out there, lots of 'em lead to Gates & Soros funding what they love to talk about in videos online,
I tend to just read, read some more, and connect loose dots.
oh, and I mistrust. lots of mistrust.
once the mind has decided it's done re-searching, and settles for a truth,
well, that's the book closed, eh.
You found the guy with the chip on his shoulder who didn't do his own homework...
The thing is that a BSL2 facility is just a fume hood, a lock on the door, and making sure all the staff have tortured by powerpoint ranger. Looking at pictures of Kenema - I knew desert rats in SocCal who had more advanced setups 20 years ago. No one was cooking up nasty new bio weapons in that dump.
What USAMRIID was doing there (at least most of it) is well documented, as is the work of the lab itself. "Mr. Birdflu" didn't even look into when and why Tulane was brought in (or a lot of other things) and how these facts might impact his theories.
The last paper Dr. Kahn coauthored with USAMRIID once the additional men and material showed up in March, was proof that ebola has existed in the MRU since at least 2006.
Lastly, the head of the LASSA FEVER LAB is the same national hero who everyone was sobbing over a couple weeks ago, and who was talking to a lot of people after he was diagnosed with ebola. So in addition, co-authoring and corroborating the USAMRIID story line, if there was anything juicy to divulge about Kenema, there would have been a death bead confession.
for what it's worth,
that blog was started by Jane Burgermeister to follow her investigations and subsequent lawsuits against Baxter, etc. for their "vaccines" tainted with live "bird flu" virus,
so I often check in there when new "epidemics" are getting newsy services. . .
again, everyone has their perspectives, I just like to snoop around the edges/fringe, since the corp.news is so reliably bland.
I do respect your natural skepticism tho' - particularly on a blog site where all research can be weighed appropriately.
For every Thomas Midgley there is a Rachel Carson, and they both inevitably end up doing the heavy lifting for the elites.
In the past seven years a lot of well meaning people have vociferously argued or greedily peddled snake oil solutions to CCD in bee populations, since long before there was actual evidence to implicate Big Chem's neonicotinoids.
The lure of both click-bait and search engine optimization creates a recurrent infestation of "work from home" trolls and random blog peddlers here on ZH. Ebola is no different, there is no more evidence to support the efficacy of colloidal silver in treating ebola than the cures they are peddling online in Lagos right now.
Tinfoil hat sales are big business even if the MLM payout for individuals at the bottom of the pyramid is comparatively small.
There a two primary reasons why a bunch Americans have to die now- 1) inaction by TPTB and 2) the actions of the tinfoil hat brigade. If TPTB had overcome their inertia and stopped diddling with finding a profit motive and building websites to peddle snake oil cures, and simple listened to the professionals on the front line this outbreak could have largely contained. If the tinfoil hat brigade weren't peddling false cures and intentionally breeding distrust of professional efforts to contain the outbreak (regardless of whether the tinfoil hatters were motivated by greed or morality) this outbreak could have largely contained.
Here's a simple Rorschach test 1) a group of fighting age men 2) traveling in a group 3) in a war zone 4)carrying things and 5) trying to escape the power of the State. Those are actual verifiable facts and much clearer dots than the arm-chair pointilists of the six-degress-of-conspiracy-theory-school have produced in regards to ebola (or many of their other ethics-seeking or profit-seeking endeavors). It's a damn good thing that people in tinfoil hats are not allowed to pilot drones or helicopter gunships, or the rest of the world would hate Americans and their government even more than they already do.
In the meantime there is an uncontrolled ebola outbreak which will have very serious consequences to its victims and their families, people who are rightly suspicious of their respective State's intentions, and States with a tendency to encroach upon human and civil rights in their pursuit of [final] solutions. The profit seekers and the amateurs who don't want to accept the responsibility for actually researching the theories they proffer will do more harm than good.
...
In regards to Jane Burgermeister, she certainly needs to hire a better lawyer, but she also needs to narrow her focus and provide actual supporting documentation of the way in which she is connecting the dots, otherwise any presentation is analogous to trying to prove grand unified theory in a high school science experiment. As someone who was in Switzerland in 2009, the notion that the explosion on the train from Zürich to Genève was a bioterrorism attack is laughable, and any judge reading her complaint is going to come to the same conclusion. If that was a bioterrorist attack- it was the most inept and unsuccessful in history, and not the work of some elite cabal on the verge of unleashing genocide upon the human race. Greed, regulatory capture and corruption, and conflicts of interest are a given and are usually fairly easy to substantiate with source documents either through whistle-blowers or the discovery process, and that needs to be the first objective whenever engaging TBTF conglomerates in the court room.
Ah yes....
Plum Island. I was sayin' stuff about that fucking place 20 years ago when I was in CT.
Told I was a fucknut.
Reston.
Some accounts thereof clearly state that the final determination as to virulence and transmission was "unprecedentedly high" and "airborne"
Current strain(s)
The US DoD was asked by one of the country's in which outbreaks were occurring to "cease their experiments" post haste.
Of what on whom?
There is claimed to be a drug with efficacy regarding the strain. Means that it has been militarized re: the strain was know precisely to create the vaccine.
Just another day in paradise
Military control of weather, etc.... and HAARP
Did you happen to read the transcript of the DoD guy testifying in front of the Whogivesaratsass Committee in Congress?
It was determined by the DoD that HAARP in Glakona could simply be closed as they had other means by which they fully controlled the ionosphere.
Today.
It is fucking incompetence or an evil plan afoot to allow the continued movement of people and goods between infected areas and the rest of the world?
I'd say "a plan"
Nobody is that fucking stooooooopid.
HAARP may be shut down
but the aerosoling continues daily.
nanoparticles rained down
& sweat-activated "vaccines"
ya hafta laff, eh knuck. . .
Oh, Mrs K and I saw a very small jet weaving in broad semi circular motions northbound leaving a darkish dirty HuGe trail in the sky some 6 months ago. I got on FlightAware and it was a NASA plane started at Edwards with a stop at Lockheed Palmdale and weaved back and forth all up the CA coast to almost Monterey. The "cloud" hung for hours, getting larger and larger... textbook. So we have the FlighAware data and pics of the spray...
Mrs K is now a believer... never really doubted, but rightfully wondered. Amazing what first hand experience does to dissolve disbelief.
Sent copies to the kids, too... Daughter is a believer. Son says it was something else but offers no rational explanation so, lets it be silent.
Humph...
And yes, the nano-particles are Known to be contained in the Chem-mix, etc., etc., etc.
Amazing how many people reject all this stuff outright as in "where's the proof" Send them to responsible sources and they'll either not explore, read, etc., and just be stuck in a mental stasis or just still reject as in "contempt prior to investigation" (I believe you're familiar with that phrase :)
Nice to know others of the same persuasion
Oh and PS HAARP might be shut, but the Navy as 3 or 4 ultra large platforms (look like deep water oil drilling platforms) that are self propelled and have massive radar type domes on them. I wonder if they're the replacement operations for HAARP. The public line is just "Radars" Yeah, so why a floating platform..... The dots don't connect for me right....
.
Amazing how many people reject all this stuff outright as in "where's the proof" Send them to responsible sources and they'll either not explore, read, etc., and just be stuck in a mental stasis. . .
yeah, I wasted a lot of energy filming the skies, researching & sending links to friends over the years. . . most acknowledge but don't want to "know". I can talk to those around me about what we see, a kind of "inner circle of acknowledgement" - but most can't incorporate certain topics into their "beliefs". . .
this is why I advocate people do their own research - one needs to find the right words to explain what is witnessed, what needs to be comprehended and understood - we all have our own perspectives on reality - and we each need to reinforce the storyline with whatever we're comfortable with.
(and then push it to the edges of dis-comfort, heh)
best to you, don't let despair in, it's just a ride.
Chat?
MUST log out, heh, but will catch up with you next time - Happy Full Moon, Sunday. . .
*cough*
I've never actually seen proof that HAAP controlled the ionosphere, partly due to the radius required of effect, partly due to the lack of sufficient power source to run such an event even once much less repeatedly.
Navy as 3 or 4 ultra large platforms (look like deep water oil drilling platforms) that are self propelled and have massive radar type domes on them.
Tesla. I've lost the link (overloaded) it's somewhere, but some guy had more info on this than you could read for the next 20 yrs. with patents, scholarly papers from numerous universities the whole 9 yards. At least according to his research, those ominous platforms caused all kinds of havoc. Earthquakes, etc.
After my sibling told me they shut down HAARP (got it from farcebook), I commenced to digging.
It was privatized.
aye, it was kind of "privatised" all along. . .
like most funding.
Government fails again to protect the people.
will they be flying him to various spots around the nation?
First they need to puree him and rent a cropduster.
India played catch and release with a Nigerian. They told him what the symptoms were, and that he should monitor himself. If he dropped dead, he should notify them.
Talk about a perfect breeding ground for Ebola.
African standards of hygiene but several times the population density.
