Don't confuse a totalitarian society with a dictatorship. A totalitarian state reaches into every sphere of its citizens' lives, forms their opinions on every subject. The government can be a dictatorship, or a parliament, or an elected president, or a council of priests. That doesn't matter.

very wise words from Philip K. Dick. the opposite is true, too. you can have a "dictatorship" or a completely autocratic regime while having a very liberal economic setup and a society quite free from totalitarian influence

one example that our typical history books downplay is the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Yes, where Ludwig von Mises came from

the Emperor was quite the political "one-man-show" in most things that mattered, yet the economy was mostly left quite alone, in the "laissez faire" fashion

interestingly, some of this is still visible in the anarcho-capitalist views of von Mises's disciples, to the point that perhaps part of libertarianism could be construed as the longing to go back for a similar setup... as what most of the US experienced away from the coastal cities that did (also mentally) engage the rest of the world, be it in trade or (colonial) war

My conception of freedom. The value of a thing sometimes lies not in what you achieved with it, but in what you pay for them. I'll give an example. The liberal institutions immediately cease to be liberal as soon as they are reached: there is no worse later and more thorough injuring the freedom than liberal institutions. We know, indeed, what they bring to ways: they undermine the will to power, they are raised on moral leveling of hills and valleys, they make small, cowardly and pleasure, triumphs with them every time the herd... These same institutions as long as they are still fought for, produce very different effects, then in fact they promote freedom in a powerful way. - Twilight of the Idols 8.38

Freedom starts and ends with what you desire for your neighbor. If you desire control over your neighbor via others then you relinquish control of yourself to those same others--You enslave yourself to enslave your neighbor.

It then follows that obedience then is voluntary enslavement of self as payment to those that forcibly enslave your neighbor on your behalf.

"Obedience is slavery."

Yeah that is it. We all work for someone whether big government, military, big corporations, elite Oligarchs... Why Else would our US Honorary Orders not stand up against the long list of Conspiracy Facts and Fascist Activities in America.

We have all these Associations like the Shriners, VFW, AFW, Masons, Eagles, BPOE, Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Eastern Star, Order of Demolay, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Daughters of Job, All of our Military Veterans...

Masonic bodies
York Rite
Order of Mark Master Masons
Holy Royal Arch
Royal Arch Masonry
Cryptic Masonry
Knights Of Malta
Knights Hospitaller,
Teutonic Knights
Red Cross of Constantine
Scottish Rite
Knight Kadosh
Societas Rosicruciana
Grand College of Rites
Swedish Rite
Order of St. Thomas of Acon
Royal Order of Scotland
Order of Knight Masons
Research Lodge
Corks

But none of them are concerned with the USA moving from an Independent Country called the USA... to An Empire and Fascist Military Republic... one with a long list of Conspiracy Facts that are not addressed.

Have to conclude we have many Knights in one sense or another, many churches, Many Catholics, Many Jesuits... and they all Realize that Fascism is the Strongest Form of Government.

Individual Rights mean nothing? TBTF Bailouts mean nothing? Letting TBTF Banks Manage their own Bailouts, while Lobbying US Congressmen, While no Real Reform of 2008 Financial Systems has taken place, and While US has been mired down in a False War in Iraq costing Trillions of US Fiat? US Voters don't know Federal DHS is a Fascist Construct that is federalizing State Agencies even as Fascist Wall Street Bank Monopolies Grow Bigger & Stronger Every Year.

I couldn't agree more.

Your freedom can only be defended by others.

Other's freedom can only be defended by you.

Solidarity? WTF. To all those "magnanimous lefties" (I know not much here):

don't sell other's freedom for your fucking "well-being" MF.

He is a multi billionaire who pays 11% on the INCOME his assets provide, not any tax on the assests themselves. I am pretty sure he is not to worried about the W-4 stuff.

A better pope would have called for a crusade by now.  If I didn't have a big family to take care of, I'd show up with my weapons at a Catholic training camp for a few weeks snd then off to defend the remaining Christian populatios and holly sites in the middle east.  We should have never abandoned the phalange militias in Lebanon.  We should have defended the coptic Christians in Egypt from the muslim brotherhood.  We shoul have made it very bloody clear to the Islamic population of the middle east (and Turkish and other agitators) that any attempt to commit genocide on Chistians would blow back in their faces ten fold.

If you feel so... have you ever heard of the French Foreign Legion? Then France seems to feel the same way as you, albeit a bit more diplomatically
