The FAA Just Closed Low-Flying Airspace Over Ferguson
The Ferguson "revolution" may be televised courtesy of straight to YouTube cell phone clips, but any chopper-based TV crews will have to find a different vantage point, as will any and all low flying aircraft (with the exception of US government drones of course), because moments ago, the FAA announced that starting 1315 UTC through 2000 UTC on August 12, "No pilots may operate an aircraft in the areas covered by this NOTAM (except as described). ONLY RELIEF AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS UNDER DIRECTION OF ST." The Reason? "TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES." Because TV crews recording every incident put "law enforcement" in jeopardy?

The local coverage at night is very strange. News teams appear right on the police line but don't really show any crowds or reasons for such a massive police presence to even be there. Their cameras are always trained squarely on the police line itself and NEVER back towards the angry protestors. Even the live scanner feeds will mention large groups of protestors moving throughout areas around Ferguson with specific place names (and in numbers exceeding 100+) during the night and the news crews don't show any of them. Last night the police were firing tear gas cannisters down a residential street, because the news is hiding the crowds within the frame so well, it looked like they were firing off just for the fuck of it. Even coverage of stores being actively looted appeared to be very small groups compared to the scale of what the police were reporting on the radio. If you were going off what the news was covering, a 300+ police response not only should have handled this situation easily, there should have been no looting at all.
It's almost as if they either don't want to disclose the size of the problem, or the police are being extremely cautious and are overreacting in force knowing full well if another person dies this whole city will burn.

This MSNBC interview with an eyewitness to the Michael Brown shooting (which, unless you have twitter, you probably haven’t heard about because every major network has simply refused to cover the story in any detail whatsoever) is absolutely chilling:
His story is easy to corroborate- forensics will be able to determine how close he was when he wa shot, whether he was shot in the back, what the fatal killing shot was and what the angle of the shot would be for it to have happened, etc. If this eyewitness account is accurate, this was premeditated murder, one would think, as the officer stated before hand that he was going to shoot him. IANAL, but that seems like intent premeditation to me.
BTW- would forensics be able to determine whether or not his arms were up when he was shot if he was shot in the torso? Wouldn’t the bullet penetrate the muscles differently if his arms were in the air or by his side?
And why will they not release the cops name? WTF kind of shady sit is that?

so sad, I am not racist but I admit to having made comments about minorities here and there, but I do have friends that are minorities, and I like them as individuals, still the conditions these people have to live in the US inner cities, just makes you shake your head, all the money spent on foreign aid and wars and other nonsense, lot's of work available right here to rebuild this countri's infrastructure and lot's idle labor available, most people only want a job and a decent life to live.

In a civilized society, the autopsy would certainly be able to corroborate eye-witness accounts if they are telling the truth. And, if this is the truth, the cop needs to hang. However, we don't live in a country goverened by laws any longer. The LEO community have been pandered too excessively by the federal government, and it's in the federal government's best interest to have the LEO community in their back pocket to enforce laws (Constitutional or otherwise). This is why the LEO community has been increasingly militarized in the past 15 years, and have fostered an "us vs them" mentality. If the cop is indeed guilty of murder, it's unlikely that he'll be prosecuted like an ordinary citizen.
If the cop pre-meditated murder, he would have planted a throw-away gun on the perp.

As soon as a proper, third-party investigation can be completed, the officer, if PC is found, should immediately be charged with 1st/2nd degree murder. That would calm things down a bit, since it would show the legal system is working.

There is racism, even racism inherent in actions for which people are unaware. It's easy to see.
Nevertheless, there are other flaws of human nature and the human condition that haven't wrought the damage of racism. The reason racism has become so damaging is that it has been intentionally magnified 1000-fold by TPTB and their media who stand to benefit from division in our society. An act of racism - the comment, the glare, the cold shoulder, etc. - can usually be effectively dealt with between two people without resorting to violence - it's resolved all the time by people wanting to square up. But allow TPTB and their media to become aware of the act and it will become grossly distorted and will cascade like a mudslide across the local community and even beyond. Then the piling on begins, with racist acts multiplying in response.

That's alright - the "main stream news" outlets, particularly of the national variety, wouldn't show the cops shooting unarmed protestors anyway. The only way that kind of thing will see the light of day is via Youtube and other on-line video outlets. The MSM would never let facts interfere with their telling the "truth" about a story.
