Obama Plans "Non-Boots-On-The-Ground Humanitarian-Adviser-Marines-Led" Yezidi Rescue Mission In Iraq

Tyler Durden's picture

Last night we nearly exploded when the adminstration tried to explain how the 130 Marines (military advisers) were non-combat troop 'boots-on-the-ground' in Iraq. Today, the State Department, Pentagon, and White House are all out with mind-numbing propaganda to reassure an anxious America that a planned rescue mission of 'thousands' of Yezidi will be entirely supported by non-combat troops.

As Reuters reports, the headlines are mind-numbing:

State Department:

White House:

But perhaps even the White House knows we are not all that dumb...

Because it seems like so far the US has made no difference:

*  *  *
Just be honest - it's about the oil (not a few thousand 'alleged devil-worshippers') and these are full-fledged hard-to-the-core US Marines and SpecOps personnel...

As Dmirty Orlov wrote recently:

If you've been paying attention to the news, the US is bombing Iraq again, this time to avert a humanitarian crisis: a group of Yezedis is stranded on top of a mountain, driven there by those Daashing lads from the Islamic State (the Arabic name for them is “Daash”).

Now, if your reaction on hearing these news was “Who the heck are the Yezedis?” then you are in good company. This is a very obscure, fairly small, incredibly ancient cult, and few people have heard of them. I have, and so my reaction was “Oh no, they are killing the devil worshipers!”

The Yezidis are quite secretive about their very complicated religion and its myriad compulsive rituals and superstitions, but it is known that they worship a deity known as the Peacock Angel, which, correctly or incorrectly, has been interpreted to be Satan. Consequently, the Yezidis have been persecuted as devil worshipers with gruesome consistency. There is no doubt that the boys from the Islamic State consider them to be the worst kind of heathen, and, since their policy is to behead first and ask questions later, there is little chance that they can be shifted from this position. Spin it any way you like, but everyone in the region knows this group as “the Yezedi devil-worshipers.”

Preventing genocide and ethnic cleansing is generally considered a pretty good reason to start a fight. But the Obama administration seems quite selective in this regard.

I wrote the following in a reply to an artricle from the Hoover Institution - but the moderator of the thread spiked it and wouldn't let it run.

Can anyone opine about why?

I hate to break it to the author, but he is way behind the curve - The Islamic State holds the Mosul Dam and that is the "nuclear option" that now controls everything in Iraq.

The real question he should be addressing is how did this multi-billion, if not multi-trillion, espionage monster fail to detect a bunch of pickup trucks carrying irregulars on a two-lane highway under clear skies moving to rout the Iraqis masquerading as an army?

That is the real disaster of Obama - and Queen Diane, and the rest of the Intelligence hacks in Congress - the utter, complete failure to be aware of the IS and know what it was doing. The can read every email in America but can't satellite photograph and drone photograph IS on an open 2-lane highway in the middle of the day?

The truth is that Obama has turned these incompetents loose on America to spy on our every move, and let the rest of the world go into a Death Spiral.

The Death Spiral is fueled by the criminality of the Obama administration - the felonious funding to the tune of $5-billion the overthrow of a legitimate democratic government in Ukraine; and now lying relentlessly about the truth that the MH17 flight's only visible damage is from 30mm cannon fire that was shot by two Ukraine SU-25s that are the real murderers in this war crime. (Anyone heard the air traffic controllers’ tapes with MH17? Why was it diverted 300 miles north to fly over a war zone? What has the Ukrainian so-called security service done with the Spanish controller on duty at the time? This is such a ham-handed war crime by the Right Sector Nazis running the show in Kiev in collaboration with the CIA - and when did the US start backing modern-day Nazis in the first place?)

There is so much more - the Benghazi Rat Line, the lies refusing to admit the truth that the sarin in Syria was manufactured in Britain, the hypocrisy of intervening in Libya while condemning Russia for even thinking about sending the current humanitarian mission into East Ukraine (aka New Russia - defined by a vote which was upheld by the international law precedent set in Kosovo) - all of these have turned the US from a light upon the hilltop into a sleazy pack of psychotic liars.

Let's get down to it - the entire US government is a cesspool of lies and sociopaths. Don't even get started on the IRS serial felonies and the missing emails - this government is saturated with criminals who run free because the AG - Eric Holder - is looking forward to his big payday after the administration leaves office and he begins to collect the protection money he's owed for his TBTP (Too Big To Prosecute) policies articulated to Congress.

Deal the entirety of the problem. It's not just Obama - it's the entire system that is destroying America.

There is no longer ANY LEADERSHIP in the USG.

The Military has been purged of all Patriots. Only Sycophants, deviant homosexuals and Riff Raff remain "in command."

My math might leave a little to be desired, but last time I checked 1000 > 500 (or however many bodies in those suspected mass graves actually exist); and that ignores any civilian deaths prior to a couple weeks ago; even the UN admits it's under counting in eastern Ukraine.

If you want to point out when the Yesidjs partook in these actions I will hear you out. Actions speak loud with satanic matters. Because they don't worship Allah with the derka derkas does not default them to devil worship status unless you OP are a derka derka too.

Additionally worth noting this shadow army of terror is wholly supported by US allies at the least. So who are the devil worshippers really.

It's the greatest mystery of history to me that when a military intelligence industrial axis has huge benefit in expanding a war, and two heads of state standing in the way of that war are assassinated within three weeks of each other and then the war gets rolling, that it is not together obvious to anyone and everyone that the two heads of state were assassinated by the same people for the same reason. There is something so obvious about it.

Apparently not though.

Yes, and from the first advisor to the last boot on the ground, we were there over 30 years starting in 1944 with a team of advisors. Contrary to the commonly quoted 1961 "start of the US involvement in Vitenam", the first advisor to die was in 1945, 16 years earlier. In the 1950s we increased the infil of advisors substantially, and then really kicked it off in the 1960s as the total US soldier deaths climbed up above 58,000.

Then we brought them all home, treated them horribly, and continue to ignore the mental health and homelessness crisis that besets a large percentage of vietnam vets.

Using that as a base, we'll be there by the time my grandkids are ready to serve. 'murica! ;-(

San Francisco Chronicle Columnist Andrew S. Ross said today that Chevron, which is operating in Iraqi Kurdistan, has three “production-sharing contracts” with the Kurdish government covering a combined 440,000 acres north of Irbil.

“We are very encouraged with the initial results in the Kurdistan region of Iraq,” Ross said the company revealed in an earnings call two weeks ago.

Ross summarized that “oil traders agree.”

Oliver Jakob, a Swiss oil analyst told Reuters: “In essence, we find US air strikes more bearish than bullish for oil (prices) as the act finally draws a line for IS (Islamic State) and reinforces both the stability in South Iraq and in Kurdistan.”

Amy Myers Jaffe, a global energy policy expert at UC David, says the potentially bigger worry for both Chevron and the Kurds would be if Iraq did stabilize and unite with Kurdistan under its umbrella. “It would be a problem for Kurds who saw the rest of Iraq as a failed state and have had freedom of movement for its oil.”

When England was facing dark days during the beginning of WW2,it was understood that in order to boost morale propaganda alone would not suffice (post-Dunkirk).

The public needed a solid political deal that if it was fully participate in another war to save the elites ass (The City),then there would be housing and healthcare, and jobs for all,e.g.,"A community worth fighting for".

This is what is lacking in Iraq.A leadership or ideal worth fighting for.The lads chucking their rifles and surrendering are actually making a protest of sorts.Reminds me of the Invergordon mutiny,Royal Navy, when they tried to cut the pay by 25% in the late twenties.

Remind me again what all our blood and treasure has purchased?

Oh,and lets not forget this is all about liberating the Kuwaitis. Ladies got the vote over there yet? Lots of Democracy,eh?
