Obamacare Is A Disaster For Businesses, Philly Fed Finds
Remember all those allegations that Obamacare would be an unmitigated disaster for businesses, especially smaller companies? Well, now we have proof.
As the Philly Fed, which mysteriously soared at the headline level even as the vast majority of its components tumbled, reported moments ago, "in special questions this month, firms were asked qualitative questions about the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and how, if at all, they are making changes to their employment and compensation, including benefits."
What the survey found was very disturbing: not only did businesses report that as a result of Obamacare the number of workers they employ is lower than higher (18.2% vs 3.0%), that there has been an increase in part time jobs (18.2% higher vs 1.5% lower), leading to a big increase in outsourcing and most importantly, Obamacare costs are being largely passed on to customers (28.8% reporting higher vs 0.0% lower), the punchline was that while there is basically no change in the number of employees covered (17.6% higher vs 14.7% lower and 67.6% unchanged), there has been a big jump in Premiums, Deductibles, Out-of-pocket maximums, and Copays, which has been "matched" by a far greater reduction in the range of medical coverage and the size of the network.
In short a disaster.
And what's worse, this sentiment will persist long after the current subprime auto loan-driven manufacturing renaissance is long forgotten.

what a complete and utter scam! here's one for you. talking to a friend of mine who runs work comp clinics in chicago. all illiegal aliens. claims paid by AIG and Liberty mutual mostly. Illegals get work comp even if they are illegal! he says they get better care than americans! back surgeries, knee surgeries, shoulders, etc.
Everyone I know who is a good doc is getting out of the business. ICD10 codes just came out. Through HIPPA they changed the codes from like 17000 to 1400000! So now we have a global socialist system of coding in health care. Also they are bringing the codex here from europe. The codex will outlaw vitamin sales and regulate so instead of being able to buy 100 gm you can only get 5mg. This is for real and obama is ushering it in. The story about death panels is true. They are killing off the baby boomers! The whole industry has been consolidated and the government and the insurance industry is behind it. Obama care is a tax and kill program. Tax and death panels. and they are trying to make it illegal for docs to have cash practices. Complete and utter scam. If people knew what was coming they would be in the streets like furgeson!

What can you do? You think not paying taxes will solve the problem? It's a start but most people do not have the balls to suffer the consequences if they stop paying. Team Lois Lerner will catch up to you and they will ruin your life forever. I've seen it happen. Is it better to pay and go about your business or not pay and wind up broke and constantly being harrassed by the IRS?
Despite all of the end of the world, collapse of the dollar, death of the USA talk, nothing has really changed except the elite (I hate that word) continue to gain more power and control and the sheep cheer them on. This shit will still be going on 50 years from now. TPTB has achieved the right mix of dependancy and ignorance to continue to get away with it. Unless I or my family is directly threatened, all I can do is sit back and watch the uninformed kill each other, like in Ferguson. There comes a point where people will choose to fight to the death rather than live under tyrranny. I don't think we've had that in the US since the civil war. The people who really need to feel the tyrranny are the middle class who are still too brainwashed to understand what is happening to them. They are going to have to lose everything and see their friends and family murdered by the government before they will wake up.
There is only one way. Stop buying...anything. Minimize your expenditures so as to starve the beast. It is money that fuels them. We can't legally stop paying taxes, but we can stop buying shit, especially the bullshit. Toys and crap. It would be tough but it is the only nonviolent way that keeps us within the law and outside of their immediate reach. No one EVER said liberty came cheap, but I don't think we need go Rambo on them. Simply take their power away. The reality is that the majority will do nothing until it is way far too late, but maybe if we lead by example without impaling ourselves on a spike, others might take it up. especially if we actually found our lives to be better, less stressed and fruitful without all the bullshit. Just sayin...but you go first!

For what I pay for my wife and I for medical premiums for shitty insurance I could live in another country very comfortably, including medical insurance. I'm thinking about that very seriously.

This often is overlooked, but the income Americans waste on useless healthcare is more than you need to live a well off life elsewhere. It's a trap and an over priced one at that.
You don't even need insurance because costs are so low in many nations that you can self insure and pay cash.
Have a heart attack? Need surgery? Do you have $10k or $20k in cash? Then move and pay cash for the procedure if you need it done.
If you don't and fear illness, then stay chained to the USA.
The average life long blue collar or office worker who kept at it will pull down 2500/month in SS along with another 1250 for the spouse.
Do you have any idea what that will buy you in most of this planet, even if you have no other assets? You could get rid of the USA cost collar and open a guest house somewhere and pay every single expense with $1k of that 3k/month and make money on the business or just kick back.
It requires courage to make the leap.

My company of 38 has a 9.1.14 medical plan year start. Premiums increased 46% and coverage declined. Wait till year end for calendar year businesses see the impact. It's a giant fustercluck.

Health care in the USSA is terrible, horrible, abysmal! Of course, the majority of sheeple-chimps in the USSA just accept the mainstream media propaganda claim that healthcare in the USSA is top notch. Nothing could be further from the truth for 99.9999% of healthcare issues. And for that crappy healthcare you pay several times to hundreds of times more than elsewhere.
How bad is healthcare in the USSA? Well, consider this. More people die from accidents and such in Mexico (because they are so poor, and so many individuals attempt to fix things for themselves when they don't know what they're doing), but if you remove deaths by violence and accident from the statistics, life expectancy in Mexico is higher than the USSA. The reason? If you take the time to dig into the statistics, you'll find the primary reason is... they suffer so many fewer healthcare disasters because they either totally avoid official healthcare (doctors and hospitals), or because they only get treatment when they definitely need it. So they have better results even as their healthcare expenses are about 100 times lower.
As everyone here knows, I have few friends, and I've never had many friends. But when I was living in the USSA, two friends with health issues but in absolutely no danger of dying... were killed by the hospitals (ages 23 and 45). And they almost killed me too by not giving me a cheap antibiotic in their effort to pretend a certain disease didn't exist in that tourist area of the country, when it most certainly did. Fortunately for me, I was able to quickly diagnose myself and get the necessary antibiotic unofficially in time, or I'd be able to give you three known cases of "death caused by healthcare system" rather than two... except I wouldn't be here to convey the information. Nobody else I knew died from accidents, violence or any other causes (though I didn't really know very many old people).
Seriously. With very few exceptions, the healthcare system in the USSA is 100% focused on stealing as much money from people as possible, especially when people are in desparate situations. And believe it or not, this has become so thoroughly institutionalized, the doctors and other so-called healthcare workers don't give a damn whether they kill people or not. Like most people, they get used to whatever environment they experience for a long time, no matter how revolting. The few of them who start out caring, become scandalized when they come to understand the nature of the system, but find out in no uncertain terms that they will be protected and defended if they abuse patients in the officially mandated ways, and destroyed if they attempt to actually help anyone by "bending the rules".
If you want to remain healthy, stay away from the USSA.
If you are sick or getting old, get away from the USSA.
