Poland Blocks Flight Of Russian Defense Minister's Plane

Tyler Durden's picture

The last time Poland 'spoke' it was to accuse Russia of invasion (and the time before that it was to accuse the government of giving the USA blow jobs), but this time actions speak louder than words:

  • *POLAND BLOCKS FLIGHT OF RUSSIAN DEFENSE MINISTER'S PLANE: RIA

Defense Minister Soigu's plane was forced to U-turn and land back in Bratislava.

As RIA reports,

Poland has refused overflight rights to the plane of Russia’s defense minister, Sergey Shoigu, who was on his way from Slovakia, RIA Novosti’s correspondent reported. The plane has landed in Bratislava.

The minister was returning from the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Slovakian national uprising that took place in the town of Banská Bystrica.

However, Poland banned entrance into its airspace for the Tu-154 plane, according to a RIA Novosti correspondent who was on board, citing one of the crewmembers.

The plane had to take a U-turn and landed in Bratislava an hour later.

Negotiations are being held on the matter at the moment.

*  *  *

Retaliation for this?

*  *  *

Or perhaps it is for his EU colleagues...

Despite a long run of initial resistance, Prime Minister Donald Tusk is now giving "serious consideration" to taking the post of European Council President, members of Tusk's inner circle admitted Friday, but leaving ambiguity how the governing party would proceed without what has arguably been the most dominant figure in Polish politics of recent years.

Why bother? Spend 2 days leisurely mobilizing the military district adjacent to Belarus, put all boomers to sea, and strategic nuclear forces on full alert - and then inform Poland the plane will make another attempt and will not, under any circumstances, deviate from it's flight plan. Any more BS will be treated like the act of war that it is, and retaliation will be immediate, overwhelming and unrelenting.

Any interceptors or attacks that launch from any other nation other than cunt Poland will be met with a nuclear touch on their primary 5 cities.

Show 'em how brinkmanship is played!

(Naturally, this isn't a serious rec. and would just fall into the hands of the Demonic West - but FFS it's disgusting watching a punk bitch state like Poland play these games.)

I think Putin has proven beyond any doubt, he's not going to be "baited" by these two bit Western Political side shows!!

Someone mentioned in another article, what is REALLY making all these Kenyesian thieves and con people who run the a West VERY nervous about Putin, is the obvious comparative analysis his philosophy is starting to take on with the West, and this notion that people are starting to make across the planet, that Putin may be "right" and the West "wrong"!!

Putin's popularity in America if properly polled, despite the almost constant MS Media bashing of him, would shock these banker and political thugs in this Country to their core and is proof of a larger dynamic that is afoot!

I would liken it to, Putin is taking on a very John Wayne like persona, at this point! Which as Americans know, was and still is one of the most popular figures in American pop culture!

Your Russia will have to eat their gas(instead of food) as no one will need it soon enough. We have nuclear terminals now coming up in Poland and Lithuania/Other countries are also setting themselves up to be independent from Russian gas. Your mighty Russia got lower GDP(per capita) with all their gas and oil than the tiny Baltic states.

There are at least three problems with your juvenile arrogance that you try to pass off as reason:

1) Annual gas consumption in the Baltics is 5.4bcm (Latvia 1.5bcm, Estonia 0.7, Lithuania 3.2) while storage capacity at Incukalns UGS is 2.325 bcm of working gas, and cushion gas is 2.145 bcm (which isn't 100% extractable)
http://www.eia.gov/cfapps/ipdbproject/iedindex3.cfm?tid=3&pid=26&aid=2&c...
http://www.encharter.org/fileadmin/user_upload/Publications/Gas_Storage_...

2) Single point of failure/sabotage - JSC Latvijas Gaze only operates one UGS facility, so if the little green men show up, it's lights out.

3) Your country left the USSR for the EUSSR- if BMW needs natural gas to make luxury cars for Chinese princelings and Wall Street bankers... you will do without, and provide Frau Ferkel whatever she demands and say "thank you" like proper untermenschen, just like the fresh-cut untermenschen Ukies, who are putting (for now it's just) 49% ownership of their UGS capacity on the auction block to satisfy their EUSSR masters.

Go back to HuffPo, we tend to be a slightly higher caliber of snarky smart ass here.

Moron_of_Joy: you fucking idiot. Poland generates over 85% of energy from coal and another 7% from sources other than gas. The RuSSian Mongols can shut off their fucking gas now - the sooner the better. The long term gas contract will be terminated by morons from the East and everyone in Poland will celebrate. Simply some folks in cities will start using their electrical appliances for cooking.

Do you advocate installing screen doors on submarines too?
Perhaps whatever the Polaks use 93.8% of their gas consumption for isn't really that important...
What is it with the propaganda troll work that ZATO has recently been outsourcing to the Yahoo brigades?

http://www.encharter.org/fileadmin/user_upload/Publications/Gas_Storage_...

Natural gas in Poland’s primary energy mix

The share of natural gas in Poland’s primary energy demand, standing at approximately 13%, is low compared to European standards. This results mainly from the dominant role which plays coal – especially the abundantly available lignite – with a more than 60% share in the primary energy consumption. Natural gas is of restricted significance for power generation, accounting for only 6.2% (0.89 bcm) of the total gas demand in 2007.60

In 2008, Poland’s gas demand amounted to 13.5 bcm. Despite a slight decrease in gas consumption on a 2007-2008 basis, annual natural gas demand is expected to rise modestly in future to around 14-15 bcm, with the share of gas in the primary energy mix remaining at 13 to 14 %.

Gas consumption of the residential sector made up for 27.3% of total gas consumption in 2007, followed by the industrial sector with 26.4%. However, interestingly consumption of the residential sector went down slightly over the last decade. Despite an average growth rate of 14.5% annually throughout the last decade gas use for power generation remains restricted, with coal being the dominant electricity production fossil, accounting for more than 87% of power generation in 2007.

Poland’s storage infrastructure today

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (PGNiG), Poland’s exclusive storage owner, operates six gas storages. The total working capacity is 1.575 bcm. When referred to the total gas consumption of 13.5 bcm in 2008, the available UGS volume corresponds to around 11.8% of the annual national gas consumption. By this, Poland lacks behind as European gas storages, on average, could provide around 25% of annual consumption.

In natural gas supplies within or to the country. Moreover, the overall maximum withdrawal volume of 33.8 mcm/d and total injection rate of 18.69 mcm/d hinder the Polish gas system to function adequately in extreme peak gas demand times. Paradoxically, the main threat for Poland’s gas supply security lies not so much in the dependence on Russian gas imports, but in the slow extension of storage capacities. As a consequence, PGNiG has stored for several years gas in UGS facilities abroad, mainly in Ukraine. In 2000, Poland held 110 mcm of gas in Ukrainian and Belorussian gas storages. In 2004 and 2005, PGNiG stored 300 mcm and 150 mcm respectively in Western Ukraine’s facilities in the Lvov region.

This hasn't always been the case phuck face. Russians "celebrating" Slovakian independence is more than a little ironic since it was the Slovaks who Allied with Nazi Germany to attack Poland in 1939. More than any place save Germany it was Slovakian weapons that slaughtered Russians by the millions.

Russia was a little late to "Von Ribentrop" (and for the record the German General Staff was ready to have Hitler deposed when he announced his plans for Poland) although I do agree that once Russia saw Poland only had days left "Poland's fate was sealed" when the Mongolian Hoarde arrived.

The Allies really weren't able to do anything until 1993.

Those 2+4 agreements included Russia. I do agree the loss of Ukraine was a profound blow emotionally to Kiev Rus...but starting a war with the entire Continent of Europe over it? Just don't get it...

Shit, I remember the watching the first tower fall, and noticing that the tipping top of the building quit tipping and just disappeared in a cloud of dust. At that instant it was obvious things weren't what was being portrayed, yet here we are, all those years later.

While one might think that these loose ends will unravel their plans, instead it bolstered them via divide and conquer. BEWARE OF NUKE 9/11

Repost it again from other thread earlier.

The War of 2015 – Part 3 – Nuclear False Flag

America has a long, long history with either using a false flag attack to start a war, or luring an opponent into attacking the US – which is just another version of a false flag.

Why We Need False Flags

The answer is easy. Ninety nine percent of all human beings actually hate war – at least, those who know what war actually is like. I’ve spent a lot of time studying war and living in war zones, and I hate war with a passion.

Yesterday, I described the propaganda that washes over you, each and every day. And, you would think that such psychological operations by the US government and bankster elites would be enough. But, we are made of sterner stuff, and that means that the elites always need to resort to the ‘false flag’ – to bring us to the point of war.

The War That They Want

Unfortunately, the 9/11 attack in 2001 raised the bar really high. The attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon set a new standard for such attacks, which means that the next one will need to be much, much bigger. America is tired of war, so this will need to be an enormous shock to the American system – to rouse Americans with the kind of energy needed to invade the Middle East, again.

The Nuclear 9/11 Story

Well, Barack Obama said this in March:

I continue to be much more concerned when it comes to our security with the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan.

Then, in June, we had Dick Cheney put this out:

Dick Cheney: There will be an attack on America within the next decade; worse than 9/11

YouTube shortlink: http://youtu.be/qrD7N2JMaJc

In THAT video, he talks about a nuclear attack on Washington and martial law. Of course, he said ‘within a decade’.

But, he didn’t stop there:

Dick Cheney: ISIS Will Nuke US

Now, that was a couple of months ago. And the rhetoric needed to be pumped up again, because this year’s September 11th was approaching fast. So, here is Dick, just six days ago, at it again: - Hannity / Cheney: ‘Absolutely Certain There Will Be Another Mass Casualty Attack Against U.S.’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULFfJrWs6kU - He said that the murder of James Foley will be repeated a million times over. - Wait, a million times? … as in a million people dead in a nuclear 9/11?

Tuchaczewski was a brilliant man brought down by Stalin's terror state.  If you have a chance look up his works, they formed the basis of operation Bagration, he was one of the greatest military thinkers out there.  He is the most defining example of everything wrong with the Soviet system and Stalin's paranoid state machine.

Thats why smart poles emigrate...and im not referring to the idiots who emigrate to the uk.

To the idiot who I responded to:

If given a choice would you fight a stronger opponent who will destroy you to avenge something that happened generations ago and did not involve the current people you fight; and in the meantime get robbed and used by a new evil

Or

Would you stop a similar massacre and abuse from happening in the present by actually realizing who is the new abuser that sends you to your death?

Sadly I think the idiot above my comment doesnt realize he is contributing to a new evil as it lures him into fighting people whom have made peace long ago

@ TungstenBars

the harsh reality that the local media is practically all bought up by TPTB is not unique to Poland; it happens too in where I live (thus i stopped reading the presstitudes a couple of years ago), they all source their international news from Reuters/AP/AFP/BBC//DW/including the SIX Mega Media Corps, the bunch of armies from the Ministry of Truth, also the local govt is not free from The Oligarch influences.

However, the fact that those who frequent ZH board wasting so much of their time here and remaining not able to grasp the TRUE picture of all the messes in this world, include but not limited to Syrian and Ukrainian crises, IMO leave only TWO possibilities about their real profiles:

1) brainless bigots; or

2) trolls or shills from various agencies

(search also for the agency-created virtual/automat "Internet Personas", read the stories many years ago)  (a brief on what's troll vs. shill)

I have no wonder at all a place as famous as ZH attracts a bunch of swarming net mercenaries :-) lol

Indeed the USA had been sending aid to the USSR long ago, even before the World War II.

I just finished the chapter one of "FROM MAJOR JORDAN'S DIARIES", a fascinating record of the American's great contribution to the USSR.

"Before you read the shocking revelations from Major Jordan's Diaries about the billions of dollars, airplanes, tanks, munitions, foodstuffs, whole factories, blueprints and material for building the Atomic Bomb, personal luxuries for ...rulers, as well as the paper and plates enabling them to print U.S. Federal Reserve Notes -- all this sent to the U.S.S.R. from UN Depot No 8, Newark, N.J., U.S.A.,  -- let us set the scene.

"Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man" (2004) by John Perkins

This is the inside story of how America turned from a respected republic into a feared empire.

“Economic hit men,” John Perkins writes, “are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. Their tools include fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder.”

John Perkins should know—he was an economic hit man. His job was to convince countries that are strategically important to the U.S.—from Indonesia to Panama—to accept enormous loans for infrastructure development and to make sure that the lucrative projects were contracted to Halliburton, Bechtel, Brown and Root, and other United States engineering and construction companies. Saddled with huge debts, these countries came under the control of the United States government, World Bank, and other U.S.-dominated aid agencies that acted like loan sharks—dictating repayment terms and bullying foreign governments into submission.

This extraordinary real-life tale exposes international intrigue, corruption, and little-known government and corporate activities that have dire consequences for American democracy and the world.

Perkins is far away from being the lone voice in explaining our world today! Many earlier great authors already pointed out the precarious and sinister developments, just check these names:

EZRA POUND

EUSTACE MULLINS

GARY ALLEN (his classic book "None Dare Call It Conspiracy")

G. EDWARD GRIFFIN (The Creature from Jekyll Island);... go and buy the author's classic reference about the Federal Reserve: "The Creature from Jekyll Island, 5th Edition" (2010).  Note: the latest 5th Edition includes new chapter covering the 2008 GFC.

Find it at the author's provided link, online bookstore Midas Resources

Read also the short book by W. Cleon Skousen titled: "The Naked Capitalist," written as a commentary on a 1300 page tome by Dr. Carroll Quigley (Bill Clinton's mentor!) It will tell you all you need to know about how the current imperium was put on this path of inevitable destruction. When Quigley wrote the book in 1969: "Tragedy and Hope: A History of The World in Our Time", he felt safe in publishing it because he thought there was no turning back by then. Quigley died in 1977. From the way things are going, he may very well have been right.

Tragedy and Hope: Professor Carroll Quigley

Tragedy And Hope: A History Of The World In Our Time (1966) by CARROLL QUIGLEY

Somehow one of the most revealing books ever published slipped through the editorial of offices of one of the major publishing houses in New York and found it way into the bookstores of America in 1966.

Professor Quigley was an extraordinarily gifted historian and geo-political analyst. The insights and information contained in his massive study open the door to a true understanding of world history in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is a work of exceptional scholarship and is truly a classic. The author should have received a Nobel Prize for his work.

In 1961 Carroll Quigley published "The Evolution of Civilizations". It was derived from a course he taught on world history at Georgetown University. "Quigley coupled enormous capacity for work with a peculiarly "scientific" approach. He believed that it should be possible to examine the data and draw conclusions. As a boy at the Boston Latin School, his academic interests were mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Yet during his senior year he was also associate editor of the Register, the oldest high school paper in the country. His articles were singled out for national awards by a national committee headed by George Gallup.

At Harvard, biochemistry was to be his major. But Harvard, expressing then a belief regarding a well-rounded education to which it has now returned, required a core curriculum including a course in the humanities. Quigley chose a history course, "Europe Since the Fall of Rome." Always a contrary man, he was graded at the top of his class in physics and calculus and drew a C in the history course. But the development of ideas began to assert its fascination for him, so he elected to major in history. He graduated magna cum laude as the top history student in his class.

PART 2 OF 2

The Federal Reserve Cartel: The Eight Families By DEAN HENDERSON

(Part One of a Five-part series)

The Four Horsemen of Banking (Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo) own the Four Horsemen of Oil (Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch/Shell, BP and Chevron Texaco); in tandem with Deutsche Bank, BNP, Barclays and other European old money behemoths. But their monopoly over the global economy does not end at the edge of the oil patch.

According to company 10K filings to the SEC, the Four Horsemen of Banking are among the top ten stock holders of virtually every Fortune 500 corporation.[1] So who then are the stockholders in these money center banks? This information is guarded much more closely. My queries to bank regulatory agencies regarding stock ownership in the top 25 US bank holding companies were given Freedom of Information Act status, before being denied on “national security” grounds.

This is rather ironic, since many of the bank’s stockholders reside in Europe. One important repository for the wealth of the global oligarchy that owns these bank holding companies is US Trust Corporation - founded in 1853 and now owned by Bank of America. A recent US Trust Corporate Director and Honorary Trustee was Walter Rothschild. Other directors included Daniel Davison of JP Morgan Chase, Richard Tucker of Exxon Mobil, Daniel Roberts of Citigroup and Marshall Schwartz of Morgan Stanley. [2]

[...]

LEFT HOOK by Dean Henderson

And do not just stop here, go, please go on spending some bucks to buy the author's great book :) he deserves it much as all other great authors spending their time taking their risks telling the truths!!

"Big Oil & Their Bankers In The Persian Gulf: Four Horsemen, Eight Families & Their Global Narcotics & Terror Network" By Dean Henderson

An International Best Seller! Now in its 3rd Edition!

Big Oil pulls back the covers to expose a centuries-old cabal of global oligarchs, whose hegemony over the global economy is based on control of the planet’s three most valuable commodities: oil, guns and drugs- combined with ownership of the world’s central banks. Henderson implicates these oligarchs in orchestrating of a string of conspiracies from Pearl Harbor to the Kennedy Assassination to 911. He follows the trail of dirty money up the food chain to the interbred Eight Families who- from their City of London base- control the Four Horsemen of Oil, the global drug trade and the permanent war economy. Big Oil shines a giant spotlight on the Money Power that secretively rules the world.

If I were Putin I'd put about 100 new ICBMs in Kalingrad to "defend it from Polish aggression."

Because fuck Poland - that's why.

True story:

I know of a Polish dude in my area who immigrated over here with a very unfortunate name -  Adam Shitz. Later he had a chance to change his name in order sound more local ...Now he is called John Shitz.

Poland had the chance to save itself in 1939 when the Soviet Union, France and Britain offered a military alliance.  Poland refused, believing it could fight off Nazi Germany with "help" (which never came) from France & Britain.

They have learned nothing.

http://www.interfax.ru/394071

August 29, 2014 20:02

Moscow. on August 29. INTERFAX.RU - the Polish authorities gave permission for the passage through the country's airspace the aircraft with Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Board.

"The situation was resolved. Obtained permission for the flight. The plane can fly," said to "Interfax" the press attache of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw Valeria Pirinska.

Answering the question of why the incident occurred and how it explains the Polish side, press attaché said, "These issues are now in the process of hearing. While we do not comment".

Previously appeared in the media information, according to which the Tu-154 Russian defense Minister, returning to Russia after a visit to Slovakia, does not pass through the airspace of Poland.

'Lots of ignorant comments being made on this board today including the enduring myth that Poles lack intelligence?

For the sake of argument, if that were true, would someone please explain to me why the public educational system in Poland is currently rated among the best in the world, and that Polish students regularly excel in Mathematics and science at levels far above their contemporaries in the United States, and many other countries?

' suggest you read, The Smartest kids in the World, And How they got that Way"by Amanda Ripley. This nonfiction book describes the best public educational systems in the world today including those of Finland, Korea, and Poland. It's an interesting,if not surprising read.

Keep cracking those jokes. My respect for ZH's audience keeps falling. You clowns bought into the "Putin is great, US sucks" propaganda line, hook, and sinker. Allow me to help you with the explanation of some upcoming events, just so you aren't surprised when it happens:

- Russian's incursion into Ukraine will be defeated. I don't know how many Ukrainians will die or how many cities the so-called "rebels" will take over. Enough Ukrainians will fight to the death to make this incursion very costly for Russia.

- Putin will be deposed, and most likely killed within the next 2 years. Either outside or, more likely, internal factions will get rid of him. He is a poor version of Hitler, less clever and more unstable. His own people will turn on him.

- Russia will undergo a very dramatic transformation. It might survive as a country, but the level of power decentralization will rock your socks.

- Poland will become one of the major players in the upcoming years, and will be one of the main US alies in the region. Keep on cracking those jokes.

- Despite your hatred for US policy, and there is plenty to criticise, on the whole, US is playing a positive role in the world. The "US is bad, therefore whoever is against it must be good" thinking is a logical falacy.
