I'll be honest and say that seeing radical Islamic terrorists with AR-15s is a little unnerving. I always figured the odds were stacked for me if we could keep them and their AK-47s back more than 100 yards. I suppose the good news is that I don't see any holographic sights or other advanced optics.

Off topic. but I think the long term solution is to create a Christian state from the border of Israel with Labanon to the border with Turkey, a homeland for middle-eastern Christians along the model of Israel. Let Beirut be the Paris of the middle east again. Reclaim Antioch as a center of Christianity. Create a strategic outpost against and opposing example for the primative Mohamedans of both flavors.

All wars are based upon power and ideology is used as a tool to facilitate that. Even a theocracy is a form of ideology to justify one's governmental power.

Thus all wars are ideological. Your enemy might attack you upon their beliefs. You will defend yourself on your beliefs. Your opponent is always wrong because in your own mind, they have the wrong ideological belief.
