Russia Blasts NATO's "Pre-Emptive Deployment" Plan For Undermining The Peace Process
As if like clockwork, on the heels of news from Russia of plans to shift their military doctrine towards pre-emptive reactions (and potential nuclear strikes), the NATO Summit has come out swinging with it's own plan change:
- *GEN. BRADSHAW, NATO’S DEPUTY SUPREME COMMANDER: NATO REACTION FORCE COULD BE DEPLOYED PREEMPTIVELY
Russia's response - "not surprised" NATO is trying to dominate Europe, adding that "NATO plans undermine the Ukraine peace process."
As Bloomberg reports,
U.K. General Adrian Bradshaw, NATO’s deputy supreme commander speaks to reporters at North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit in Newport, Wales.
NATO to assemble range of indicators and warnings that suggest when it’s time for some sort of preemptive deterrent deployment. It’s about making clear to potential adversaries “that engaging in offensive operations against NATO is not something they would wish to do”: Bradshaw
Bradshaw said not yet clear when spearhead force will be operational. “We would expect a force of this nature to be achieving initial operating capability within a matter of a number of months, maybe a year. But building the capability to its full spectrum of required capabilities would require a certain amount of time”
NATO added:

But everyone who shares a border with Ukraine is having a hissy fit, and invoking their article 5 mutual protection.
They know that if Russia takes a significant part of Ukraine by military force, that they are next.
Everyone has something they love and value. When the guy next to you gets it ripped out of his hands by men with guns, they become convinced that their valuables are next on the list for grabbing.
So to be fair, it is not a case of NATO telling Eastern European countries that they must have bases on their territory. It is a case of Eastern European countries begging for protection, and offering bases.
And it is not hard to understand why.
All of them asked to join NATO. All of them had to overcome objections to their joining. They had to work to get in.
All of them are also former Warsaw Pact countries. All of them got into the warsaw pact by first being invaded.
The difference is choice. And it is the biggest difference in the world.
But the overthrow of a legitimate govt in that same country doesn't fit the description of "something you love being ripped away by men with guns"?
You see, you have to go a little farther upstream to get to the source of the friction...go ahead give it a try, as long as you can objectively follow that bloody money trail back to it's source you will see who is ultimately to blame.

Well Crimea voted to rejoin Russia after the Junta in Kiev who deposed the Govt passed laws persecuting ethnic minorities. I bet the Crimeans are glad of their choice as it has spared them the bombing by Kiev that the East is receiving. The Eastern freedom fighters mistake was to not ask to rejoin Russia as that would have spared the 1000's of deaths meted out by Kiev.
