Obama To Unveil Non-'Boots-On-The-Ground' Strategy For "Hunting Down" ISIS, On Wednesday
President Obama has swung from "we have no strategy" to "keep in mind this is something we know how to do," in a week, and speaking on Meet The Press this morning he teased the world's allies (and terrorists) with the promise that he will address the nation Wednesday to lay out U.S. plans for combating the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), promising the U.S. can and will defeat the group. As CBS reports, while not quite as gung-ho as Biden's "gates of hell" speech, President Obama appears to have stepped up his rhetoric from 'contain' to 'defeat' as he stated "we will hunt down [ISIS] members and assets wherever they are," but carefully added putting U.S. troops on the ground would be a "profound mistake."
Chuck Todd's first "Meet The Press" starts with the question "Mr. President, are you preparing the country to go back to war?" - full interview below...
"Over the course of months, we are going to be able to not just blunt the momentum of (ISIS)," the president said in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press. "We are going to systematically degrade their capabilities. We're going to shrink the territory that they control. And ultimately we're going to defeat them."
"We will hunt down [ISIS] members and assets wherever they are," Mr. Obama added. "I will reserve the right to always protect the American people and go after folks who are trying to hurt us wherever they are."
But that plan will not include putting U.S. troops on the ground in Syria, the president promised, saying that would be a "profound mistake." Some of his critics, especially Republicans in Congress, have pushed for a more aggressive approach to tackling the militants there.
The U.S. strategy will not amount to "the equivalent of the Iraq war," he said, but will instead resemble the kinds of counterterrorism campaigns the nation has conducted against terrorists over the last five to seven years and consist of a broad-based national and regional coalition.
"Keep in mind this is something we know how to do. We've been dealing with terrorist threats for quite some time," he said.

"What I'm going to be asking the American people to understand is, number one, this is a serious threat," he said, and additionally, he wants the public to know "we have the capacity to deal with it."
He said there has been "no immediate intelligence about threats to the homeland" from ISIS, but warned that if it is allowed to control significant amounts of territory in the Middle East and amass more weapons, support and foreign fighters from places like Europe and the U.S., it would become a bigger threat to the U.S.
Speaking more broadly about the threat from militant groups, Mr. Obama said the U.S. "should not be to think that we can occupy every country where there's a terrorist organization." Instead, he said the country needs to partner more effectively with governments that share America's interests in pushing back on extremists.

2) Write some code that, when you touch Obama's face on the screen, a small explosion becomes visible. Add audio: BOOM, followed by polite clapping.
Put your coding talent to good use.Maybe make it portable, running on Windows, MAC, Linux, Android, IOs, etc. That should keep you busy for an hour or so.

Now, why does ISIS seem like a group of actors? It seems contrived much the same way that Al Qaeda was contrived.
Let us not forget the Al Qaeda Jack La Lane videos the mainstream media used to show of alleged hooded Arabs traversing monkey bars and jumping over an obstacle course. That particular video was shown over and over again as if it were proof of something. Of course, it was the very definition of propaganda.
Al Qaeda was a term coined by western intelligence agencies and simply meant "the base." It was a building used by the Mujahadeen during the fight against the Soviets. And, as we well know, the Mujahadeen were armed and trained by the CIA. The movie, Charlie Wilson's War details that training.
What does it say when you fear your own government more than you do the terrorists?

Drone makers and the US Air Force told Obama that given unlimited money and contracts, corporate drone makers and the USAF could and would defeat terrorism and control nations by force of arms. This is why Obama raised the drone war by orders of magnitude after Bush left the White House. Mass drone killings and targeted air strikes are said to be able to defeat terror and rule nations from the air above them. Obama buys into this as he is a zero US casualties type of president. I think it is obvious to most thinking men that air warfare against irregular and terrorist forces will fail to deliver, anything but corporate profits, and lots of promotions to higher rank for USAF drone warriors. Yes, you understand right, they call themselves Warriors! They dress up like fighters, have unit emblems like fighter squadrons, USN ships and Army divisions. They even claim combat stress related disabilities. Yes, this is Obama's army of drone warriors, now this force will try and defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq, a force the USA STILL is arming, funding and training inside Turket and Jordan. If the US Elites were serious about "hunting down ISIS," they might start by shutting down the training facilities in Jordan where US intelligence, mercenaries, and various other spooks are recruiting, training, organizing, funding and arming ISIS, and providing them with our intelligence support.
Since they're not doing that, obviously ISIS continues to play a role in US policy.
