Do people here think ISIS is

a) a threat to the US

&

b) not funded indirectly by the US (read: her middle eastern bosses)

I hope not

Actually, no it's A.

Here's why.

If Obama had a strategy ... wait, what am I saying?

Let me restart.

The strategy Obama will be provided with will be functionally retarded because that's what PHds do now and illustrates just how poor our educated elites are.  The plan will be totally ineffectual against "A" which means "A" is worse than "B".

Now, I don't actually like the question because it's like asking which of the following choices you must choose from:

A) Being shot, or

B) Being stabbed.

Why the fuck do we need a "strategy" against ISIS?  Last time I looked, they are on the other side of the world.  An ocean or two away.  What exactly is the threat to me and mine?

On the other hand, the US police state is here and now.  And it poses a demonstrable and existential threat to me and mine.

What's the strategy for that?

Ehh, I think you guys attribute far too much competence to the US.

IMO some Saudi Arabian prince made it his pet project to build up ISIS, mostly because he's a moron ... and the US stood on the sidelines cheering, mostly because they are morons as well. But the prince was fired when the King saw what was going on and told the US to put the genie back in the bottle and here we are. SNAFU, no conspiracy necessary.

ISIS was a monster created by a confluence of crap.  American support of people posing as "moderates" in Syria.  The influence of Wahhabist elements from Saudi Arabia.

What's interesting is that it puts a kabosh to American plants for Syria in a pretty serious way.  What it also has done is create a takfiri menace.  The Wahhabis have created an evil doppleganger that has full intention of usurping it's former master.

The only shame is that someone else has to pay for the mistakes of unaccountable douchebags from Washington and Riyadh.  Those people never suffer any consequences for their horrific decisions.

"Ehh, I think you guys attribute far too much competence to the US."

It's not about the competence of the US. These are global powers at play. If they didn't want isis doing what they are doing, it would be put down. That's not that hard in a technotronic age. It is serving a purpose for tptb, quite obviously. And I believe that reason may even extend beyond the bottom lines of the weapons manufacturers and the banks.

Yup.  Ya know your in trouble when they spool up that angle on the blame game (paradox of thrift).

But, I suppose we can't lose sight of:  financial crisis = sovereign crisis = political crisis = public crisis.

Of course it is all theft.  The genius is that the grift is enabled by basic human behavior.  So, in the end, the blame game goes full retard.

Can see it warming up already on income, age, race, religion, etc.

The lunaticfringe is relatively mainstream on Zero Hedge:

While millions of people have been preparing for the possibility of a catastrophic event by relocating to rural homesteads or farms, as well as stockpiling food, water, personal defense armaments and other essential supplies with the intention of utilizing these preparations if the worst happens, the latest executive order signed by President Obama on March 16, 2012 makes clear that in the event of a nationally deemed emergency all of these resources will fall under the authority of the United States government.

The signing of the National Defense Resources Preparedness executive order grants the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense and other agencies complete control of all US resources, including the ability to seize, confiscate or re-delegate resources, materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense as delegated by the following agencies.

HOW is anyone supposed to be prepared against their government becoming their worst enemy? The more that one realizes that the "war on terror" was deliberately started by the ruling classes staging inside job, false flag attacks, and they deliberately have driven the situation to get worse, faster, so that groups like ISIS would come to exist, the more impossible it becomes to be prepared for the next set of false flag attacks, which will probably be worse than those on 9/11/2001!

I do not think that the even the lunatic fringe of the fringe of the fringe, or the Lunatic Fringe Cubed, can come up with any coherent strategy with respect to being prepared, when being prepared would result in making one a target for the government. No matter how one endeavours to try to imagine how insane the real world is, that is never enough anymore, since the real world now includes entities like ISIS, which are tangled up in the history of the apparently infinite tunnels of deceits, through the "war on terror" being a fraud foisted on mainstream morons for evil ulterior purposes!

Fear appears to be what threatens America most. Interestingly a gender gap emerges on how people see the government’s anti-terrorism programs with men being more inclined to think the government has gone to far, it also seems that younger voters, those in their twenties are appalled by the intrusions into our privacy.

Will terrorists kill innocent civilians in the years to come? Of course. They did so more than 100 years ago, when they were called anarchists—and a responsible nation-state must take reasonable measures to protect its citizens. But there is no way to completely eliminate terrorism. The challenge that confronts us is how we will live with that threat. We have created an economy of fear, an industry of fear, a national psychology of fear. Al Qaeda could never have achieved that on its own. We have inflicted it on ourselves. More on this subject in the article below.

I'll never forget, back in the 70's, I was in 7th grade I think. . . Big, older dude comes up on me walking to the public pool w/a friend. Looks at friend and says "I'm not gonna hurt ya cause you look scared". His younger brother was havin' some kinda beef w/one of my younger brothers in grade school. Looks at me and says "You. You don't look scared enough." And I'm thinkin' - really? 'cause I was scared. I was unarmed and a skinny little light-weight at the time, he was way too much taller than me to head-butt and, I knew I had an almost-certain ass-beat coming to me. So, I juked the nukka, cause I could fly like the wind but, "You don't look scared enough" was a defining moment.

Countries are fictions used to divide the herds so they can be pitted against each other.

To protect the people from this enemy. We're gonna have roving gangs of poeple who steal, kidnap and murder to protect you from roving gangs of people who steal, kidnap and murder. Picture B.

And I always love the gun control one.

The biggest threat to the United States is us citizens. That's right, us! Here's why; we don't care what happens in the world unless someone is pissing in your sandbox. Your best friend just lost his job. So sorry, it won't happen to me. Yeah right!

Corporations are saying we have plenty of jobs but can't find anyone trained. Yeah right! Then train them and hire them full time.

Give out EBT cards and free phones. Yeah right, like that's a solution. People milking the whole I'm disabled bull, I can't work, pay me anyways.

Have a kid, pay me, I can't work. Who's going to babysit? Pay me more.

Makes me puke how weak the United States has become.

Please add more to my post that makes you want to puke.

Their both enemies. B is far more dangerous as he is destroying us from the inside wheras A is up front about it. Reminds me of a Cicero quote...

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

ISIS is a threat to the US only if they threaten to disrupt the business interests of international oil companies or financial institutions. They pose no threat to ordinary Americans, who are innocent victims of the same oligarchs. And don't be fooled. Obama has a strategy, albeit one which can never be publically admitted. No person, groups, organizations, or countries will ever be allowed to threaten big business, including American citizens. Anyone doing so will be branded a terrorist....marked for rendition or worse. The strategy is too horrible to ever be made public, lest the American people wise up and demand an immediate end to it.

ISIS is the greatest false flag of all time. It is Al Qaeda writ large, at the level of an entire mini-empire.

Make no mistake. ISIS is not controlled in Qatar, or SA, or the GCC (they merely provide the funding). It is controlled from Langley, the City, and Tel Aviv. The give-away is the admitted participation of British muslims, by the reluctance of the US to call in airstrikes. The black hood is to hide their blue eyes and Academi afiliation.

The "no strategy" bit is merely because that is what appears on the teleprompter. Obama is paid to look the fool and be the fall guy (at least he gets to play golf, not a bad fringe benefit) while ISIS expands unchecked, as it was designed to do in Langley and Tel Aviv.

The real purpose behind ISIS dawned on me from this debate

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yP4xdNCZek#t=482

between the zombie Wash DC journalist and the ex-Marine presented by presstv recently which showed up in a ZH post. The talking points regarding ISIS are already in place if the brainless journalist who spewed them out is typical.

The US Deep State will try to unite the Sunni and Shiite in common cause against this fake ISIS enemy, and hence control them.
