Miami Hospital Reports Potential Ebola Case
While details of the case and patient are not immediately known, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said earlier that a potential case of Ebola is being treated at a Miami-are hospital. This comes as the WHO reports a surge of "many thousands of new cases" in Liberia in recent days and fears rise that the dreadful disease could be spread by animals.

So, why report a "potential" Ebola case?
According to the article and news broadcast from NBC Miami, the patient had already tested negative for Ebola but was now being retested for the virus.
This is the usual fearmongering from the news media. In developed nations, viruses do not spread quite as easily as in poor underdeveloped countries.
In order for Ebola to be truly problematic for the U.S. and other developed countries, the virus would have to spread as easily as the common cold. That means, it would have to be fully airborne and able to survive in the air for quite a bit of time.
No, it just needs to get into the subways in NYC or DC or into the bus systems in places like Dallas, San Francisco or elsewhere.

As of the WHO most recent update (4 Sept) there haven't even been 3000 lab-confirmed cases of ebola yet.
