Obama Plans To Fight ISIS By... Giving More Weapons To ISIS?
It appears that, in a rush to get his strategy out the door, President Obama overlooked his key "do nothing stupid" foreign policy plan.

So - to be clear - the strategy to defeat ISIS is to arm more of the same "rebels" that ultimately split off and became, well, ISIS?
Perhaps it's better if Obama sticks to his original "no strategy" plan after all... if only for the people, not so much the military-industrial complex of course.

Remember Those ‘Moderate’ Syrian Rebels That The U.S. Armed? ISIS Got Some Of Those Weapons Too
As the Syrian Civil War has waged on over the past few years, the United States, along with Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, decided to arm the Syrian rebels under the “Free Syrian Army” umbrella.
The shipments of former Yugoslavian Army weapons held by the Croatians, along with newly manufactured Croatian weapons, began in November 2012, according to The Telegraph UK. The weapons were flown out of Croatia on chartered flights to Jordan and then smuggled into Syria.
Fast forward to the rise of ISIS and their blitzkreig campaign across northern Iraq. An investigation by the arms control organization Conflict Armament Research has found that various U.S. supplied weapons have wound up in the hands of ISIS.
AFP reports:
The study by the London-based small-arms research organisation Conflict Armament Research documented weapons seized by Kurdish forces from militants in Iraq and Syria over a 10-day period in July.
The report said the jihadists disposed of “significant quantities” of US-made small arms including M16 assault rifles and included photos showing the markings “Property of US Govt”.
It also found that anti-tank rockets used by IS in Syria were “identical to M79 rockets transferred by Saudi Arabia to forces operating under the Free Syrian Army umbrella in 2013?.
The U.S.-made small arm in question is the M16A4 assault rifle. It is the main service rifle of the U.S. Marine Corps and sees limited use in the U.S. Army. More importantly, thousands of them were supplied to the Iraqi Army. The source of ISIS’s M16s, along with other U.S. made weapons, is likely captured Iraqi Army stocks.
As for the M79s, they were part of the arms shipments from Croatia that were meant for the Free Syrian Army. The weapons were either captured, or acquired by former FSA fighters as they joined ISIS.
The lesson to be learned here is that foreign policy decisions often have unintended consequences. As the U.S. contemplates what future action it will take to combat ISIS, it needs to be sure to learn those lessons of the past.

Since "official" policy is and has been to overthrow Assad, OBarry and his band of traitors are stuck between a rock and a hard place policy-wise. If SISI is a threat (I believe it is a dire threat), the logical and most effective thing to do is work with Assad to eradicate the threat. Absent that, all policy decisions will be enigmatic.
Removing brutal dictators in Iraq and libya have shown the only way to keep the clusterfork of various tribes and sects in line is with a brutal, deal making dictator. Iraq and Libya are both in chaos without their dictators, and the same or worse can be expected in Syria.
The question for OBarry is, "Why remove Assad? Doesn't it make more sense to work with him?". Have no fear; I won't hold my breath waiting for the "media" to ask that question.

The real game most likely here is to get NATO involved directly against Assad by really arming the rebels by first selling the arms to NATO then in turn having NATO give them said arms then have NATO put their spearhead force on the ground in Syria to supervise said rebels making it look like they are there to fight ISIS while the real objective is Assad and Eastern European Energy Security objectives via Arab gas. All they need to do is carve out a corridor either through Syria or ISIS or both held territories into Jordan for example to bypass Assad. Is it becoming clear what the real objective of ISIS is once you break down the composition of the individuals in the group and who it is that seems to know exactly where these individuals are coming from (hint it doesn't seem to be the security apparatuses that are supposed to be indentifying these guys and passing that information along to intercept them before they leave the countries of origin)?

According to a report published in Reuters, the group known as ISIS may have actually been trained over the last two years by the United States government in Jordan. It would be quite ironic if the United States was actually responsible for the training those now destabilizing the Iraqi nation. It was not known whether those doing the training were direct members of the US government or if they worked for a private firm, but the main focus of the training was on anti-tank weaponry.
The report continues that 200 men were trained at the facility and that over 1200 were to be added in a plan to prepare to free Syria from the rule of President Bashar Al-Assad. French and British advisors were present as well to aid in the training and according to Jordanian intelligence sources the program was designed to create fighters to be a part of the ISIS group.

The new leader of the group is General Ibrahim al-Douri. He was the Vice-President of the Revolutionary Council under former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and was supposed to be the successor to Hussein. Al-Douri has been on the US most wanted list since the second Gulf War began and many inside the United States government thought he was dead. this is one of those things you could see comming a mile away. if there was any real intent to subdue ISIS then the logical course of action for Washington would be to forge an allience or at least a working partnership with the Assad regiem, not cause further misery, death and destruction by arming and providing direct air support for these fictional moderate groups. after all it was these so called moderate rebels that allegedly sold the two american jouralists to ISIS in the first place, now whether the beheadings were real or not is certianly up for debate but why would you trust those who sold your own people out with more guns and more money?
Syria has a fully fuctional and battle hardened military that is currently winning the war on the ground so the most helpful thing DC can do right now would be to provide intel on ISIS posistions and movements to the Syrian military thus allowing them to strike at ISIS with greater precision and accuracy. if ISIS is indeed the dire threat that Washington claims it to be then I fail to see how the perception of "hepling the Assad goverment" is even an issue here. eliminate the most pressing threat first then deal with whatever political fallout follows later. which probably wouldn't be much at that as it would be hard for anybody to publicly take issue with Washington simply feeding the Syrian military information and providing target packages while avoiding any kind of direct involvement. any nation who came out against such actions would be exposing themselves as sympathetic to and possibly supportive of ISIS.
It's the perfect win win sisuation Washington can help crush ISIS in Syria without spending much treasure and no blood. let the Syrians do the heavy lifting, it's thier country, it's thier fight and it is very clear that they do not want, nor will they benifit in any way from yet another party dropping bombs on thier land, least of all the US or NATO.
but we all already know this really isn't about ISIS, this is about doing what the failed chemical weapons false flag last summer did not. this is about ISIS being a very, very handy pretext, a way to get the public behind the idea of western military intervention in Syria. Assad just wasn't a bad enough villian and the western media simply could not paint him as a stark raving lunatic mad dog killer that they needed him to be. people saw right through the propaganda and Assad with the help of the alternative media here in the US and the Russian media had won the PR war and won it decisively. there would be no further oppertunity for a false flag to rally public support behind an invasion of Syria so...
they just backed off while a new approach was formulated, notice how Syria which once domminated across the headlines from google to yahoo simply disapeared and for a good long while the whole thing was simply stowed away. of course the war didn't end and people continued to die but in American mainstreem news that was no longer of any importance, not even worth mentioning that the whole affair was still going on. then along comes ISIS, sweeping across the land like a biblical terrorist plauge, beheading as they go and threating raise there flag in the White House itself. then, on cue, we have politicians telling us that they might just have the ability to level an American city, and there are pictures posted on twitter or whatever of the windy city with ISIS claiming that they are already here in the US. throw in a couple of americans sands heads and the end resault is predictable...

now why would they do that?

Lybia 2.0, ground the air force, attack and destroy Syrain command and control, degrade and destroy Syrain military capabilities until despite regime change, once again, not being the goal Assad himself is driven through the streets strapped to the hood of some CIA wet work assets rental. oh yeah, and if ISIS gets destroyed in the process great, best not to leave such dangrous tools laying around but my guess is they will simply melt away once the action starts.

Blow up 100 or so shopping malls on Friday evening, Sept 12th, in a coordinated attack, using our southern friends MS-13 among others. This could be accomplished by 100 actors, whose families we have captive. Maintain arms length connection from any of the actors.
