The expression 'I laughed so hard that I cried' expresses a deeper movement in individual spiritual life than most will admit to. Generally, people are SCARED of actually FEELING things. It is a combination of 'religious' teachings, as well as a secular need to 'conform' to someone else's 'standards' of 'normalcy' that bias people in a way which is counter to the way humans were meant to exist.
You are doing a wonderful, beneficial, and constructive thing, WB7. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Read the story about the boating accident. Old saying: "where to keep complicated solutions: OFF your BOAT"! Why I don't like boats with motors. What I find particularly discouraging is, while most everyone would agree that the world is headed the wrong way, not many can agree on why. Here are a few examples: Ukraine? It seems certain people are absolutely positive the Russians instigated the whole matter. Others believe the opposite and anyone who disagrees is a commie and traitor.
Bankers? There are those that think they should be tossed in jail or worse. Then you have others who'd say anyone that believed that is against capitalism.
Dual citizens? Some are pissed off that every time you turn around they seem to be at the center of controversy. The other side will charge anti-semite and support the holocaust.
The Middle East? Many are convinced the US pulled out of Iraq too soon. The others say the US should have never gone there.
Then you've got 9/11. There is hardly anything more divisive than that. If I talk to people about this stuff, even family, you can feel the tensions rise.
We're pretty much in the middle of nowhere and it's very easy to "stick our heads in the sand" if we want. It's pretty hard to look away though. But, whether I read about the daily news or not, the story is still the same. It doesn't make any difference if I know about it or have an opinion. So why bother? I don't know the answer to that.
I just look back at many of the things I was *certain* of in the past and now see my own thinking as wrong. So going forward anything I'm certain of now could very well be wrong too. There is a lot of tension and bad feelings out there.
When somebody gets in my face and tells me how certain they are about anything I have to tune it out or else I get pretty angry.
The British have always worked to keep the French encircled, and they did an exceptionally good job of it after WW1, helping the Germans rearm and so forth. Problem was, they did a bit too good a job, and after the Germans overran the French so easily, they came after the English. Right now it appears to me that someone is trying to encircle the Russians. We'll see how that turns out for them. Personally, I wonder whether the super-richy-riches might EVER consider trying to be happy by just making what they've got better. They seem to only be happy playing war games and monopoly and finding someone else to encircle and mess with and see whether they can expand their own personal business empires a bit here and a bit there by stealing a bit from these people and those people. And then, time after time, WHAM!, it comes back on them - or, I guess, not actually on THEM, but on the poor blokes that serve them in their manors, and pay them rent and taxes, and volunteer to fight in their wars. What did the old wag say? "To get a child to become truly vicious, you have to send him to a good school".
And if you examine what happened in Germany during the rise of the Nazis, it was pretty much the same thing. Any troublemakers who had the gall to question the decisions of the higher authorities were told: shut your mouth can't you see its for eveyone's good; which later became off to the camps with you...

I went after the property assesor in Wisconsin last year and I finally got some resolution. Well, she is gone now but I received a letter in the mail yesterday for a $33,000 reassment. I reopened an insurance claim with Wilson Mutual and beat the shit out of them after the ripped off my Mom. Fifty phone calls later I got a new roof out of them. Fuck them. If they had been honest in the first place then they wouldn't have had to deal with me.
Even down to my children I won't back down. There was a girl who was bullying my daughter and the teacher couldn't seem to control the situation. Well, fuck, I will. I gathered up the family and I went to the school. I had my daughter point the little girl out and I did what the teacher or her parents should have done in the first place. I sat her down and laid down how you are going to act toward the other kids and especially my daughter. She was scared of me and probably because of my eyes. I told her that I don't want to have to come back and say anything. Guess what? That little girl never caused any more problems in class. I talked with the teach and told that he should grow a pair of balls.

I know it sometimes seems like I'm being disagreeable just to be disagreeable but I don't agree with carry permits. Its a right to have a gun and to defend yourself with it. I'm a purist with regards to the rights I was born with (its just me, not judging). But I also understand some people want to comply with "the law" in order to cut down on hassles or potential hassles.
Training is the main thing in whatever one gets into. The repetitiveness of it (in this case shooting, a lot) until its second nature, then he can slow down after he can clear a jam or reload in the dark.
Just have Mr.C remember to remind him, its not a club or a pair of nunchakus or a knife, one shot can decide a matter he'll have to live with the rest of his life. Respect the power it brings to the holder & the responsibility that comes with that to use it wisely.
