Washington's Bait-And-Switch: NATO Armed Kiev Under Cover Of Ceasefire
Submitted by Daniel McAdams via The Ron Paul Institute For Peace & Prosperity,
Just over ten days ago, as the pro-independence forces in east Ukraine were on the march with significant gains on the battlefield, a ceasefire was signed in Minsk, Belarus. According to the terms of the ceasefire, the pro-independence fighters were to lay down their arms, cease their offensive to regain lost territory in the Donetsk and Lugansk region, and disband.
In exchange for this, the US-backed government in Kiev was to agree to an amnesty for pro-independence fighters, commit to economic development in the east, and agree to enshrine decentralization in law to provide autonomy to the east.
Most importantly, the ceasefire was to stop the Kiev government's shelling of major population centers in the east and stop the slaughter of military forces on both sides.
It turns out to be a grotesque sleight of hand, with Kiev receiving guarantees at the September 5, NATO summit in Wales that NATO members would provide the military equipment to finish the pro-independence forces in the east after the ceasefire gave time to re-group a badly beaten, largely conscript Ukrainian army.
This grand deception came to light yesterday, as Valery Heletey, defense minister of the US-backed regime in Kiev, bragged that, as Reuters put it:
NATO countries were delivering weapons to his country to equip it to fight pro-Russian separatists and "stop" Russian President Vladimir Putin.
We are already seeing the result of this bait and switch, as yesterday saw a dramatic resumption of the US-backed government's shelling civilian Donetsk, which is under control of the pro-independence movement.
The ceasefire provided pro-US Kiev forces time to regroup and absorb NATO weapons under the guise of stopping the violence, with the intent of slaughtering rather than negotiating with the pro-independence forces. This is no great surprise, as the February coup itself proceeded with US cooperation just as a compromise power-sharing agreement between the elected president, Yanukovich, and the Maidan rebels was signed.
It remains a great mystery why the pro-independence forces would strike a deal with a Kiev regime which came to power as a result of a US and EU sponsored coup in February, and whose veracity and track record of fair play is rather wanting.
A greater mystery perhaps, is why a Russia that was accused of "invading" Ukraine as the NATO summit kicked off, would agree to the decapitation of a Moscow-friendly independence movement next-door as it consolidated its gains.
Whatever the case, the bloodshed in eastern Ukraine is about to resume. The pro-US regime in Kiev, by deception, is about to claim bloody victory from the jaws of defeat.

This is the Cuban Missile Crisis for Russia and Putin is Kennedy.
The million dollar question is ... is Putin bluffing.
Regards,
Cooter
No. Putin is not bluffing.
Putin is rushing to expand territory for as long as Obama is president.
If USA is ready to use force, he'll stop there and hold territory.
Putin is not stupid. He is opportunistic and the opportunity is now.
Same with Khamenei and Jinping. All in a rush to kill USD and gain territory
Why not take what is given?
No argument there.
He is doing what any strong leader would do. Take the opportunity and gain territory.
So, in your opinion, the expansion of NATO to Moscow's front porch is not an existential threat?
Regards,
Cooter
Of course it is.
I am a realist, neither pacifist, nor warmonger.
There is a desire in the west to chop up Russian Federation is few pieces. Chinese claim Siberia also.
Survival of the fittest. That is world history
So, then this is the Cuban Missle Crisis in reverse.
Putin will sling nukes to keep NATO at bay.
The question then becomes, is the West really ready to pull the full trigger and light this fucker up.
Subs will flatten us all.
Regards,
Cooter
slinging nukes would mean that everybody will sling them.
Not gonna happen.
Putin stop when NATO ready to use force and holds territory
Putin is NOT stupid.
<---NATO is stupid.
<---NATO is evil.
I'd upvote "NATO is a sock puppet".
Regards,
Cooter
Not true. If Putin slings a few tacticals, then the sociopaths in the West have to decide if they really want to escalate it that far.
They are weak and Putin knows it. They are not prepared to write that check and I fear he will call their bluff.
Regards,
Cooter
There are satellite systems detecting nuke engines turning on.
There is no advantage. No side has any advantage at shooting first
It's MAD. mutually assured destruction.
Not gonna happen
Distance to target is key. That is why nuke subs will decide the winners. That is unless one can base their nukes on the enemies front porch.
If NATO can get close enough to Moscow, it is a persistent existential threat (as was the Cuban Missile Crisis).
THAT IS THE POINT AT ISSUE.
Regards,
Cooter
The Empire sank the Kursk for good reason.
The Empire is scared.
Post something useful or intellectual or informative. That is pretty piss poor trolling.

Nuke talk is armchair militroid and media drivel. This is not a problem to be solved by nukes. You don't cure acne with a blowtorch.
Is it worth permitting Donbass to become a devastated hole in the ground, if it serves the broader agenda of winning public support across the entire world for the ouster of the Nazis? Was agreement to the "ceasefire" a strategic move, rather than a show of naivete?
The more people I talk to, the more I find open hatred of the psychopaths in Kiev.
well you're not talking to most americans who still watch MSM.
Those 'psychopaths' are near and dear buddies to our government. We did, after all, engineer the coup that placed them there.
I'm disappointed that nobody cares to speculate.
Say something nice about russia so cooter will like you...
NO.
Current strategic combat doctrain is "Use 'em or loose 'em". Escalation is almost instant.
Let us not go there. The Dogs of War are straining their leashes.
The funny thing about the Cuban Missile Crisis is that the Soviet Union obviously considered us parking Jupiter ballistic missiles in Turkey the "Turkey Missile Crisis," yet this was not reported to the American public.
Americans were kept in the dark and fed bullshit like good little mushrooms, much like what we've seen in Ukraine over the past several months.
Yeah, americans were kept in the dark. Meanwhile, in the Soviet Union, there was free press and fairy dust for all.
Just finished the 600-page "Khruschev's Cold War," and it has changed my understanding of that episode. While the Jupiters in Turkey were a thorn in the Kremlin's side, it was not something they considered a crisis. More of an impetus for them to get busy developing their ICBM inventory (they were far behind the USA in 1961-1962).
Khruschev's decision to put missiles in Cuba sprung from a desire to develop political leverage he could use to force a settlement on the Berlin crisis, which persisted throughout Khruschev's tenure as First Secretary. His brinksmanship policy had worked earlier in forcing Western Europeans to abandon their nation-building efforts in Egypt, for example; and Khruschev thought the young President Kennedy could be bullied similarly over Cuba. This proved to be a miscalculation. The Russians - Khruschev in particular - immediately began looking for a way to de-escalate after Kennedy's October 25 speech. Newly declassified information reveals the Kremlin was prepared to remove the missiles from Cuba WITHOUT a promise by the USA to remove the Jupiters from Turkey; the Jupiter missiles came up later in the crisis, and Kennedy, seeing that this was not much of a concession (given our ICBM development).
The salient take-away is: We were NEVER really close to nuclear armageddon in October 1962. Neither side wanted it; and both sides were prepared to back down when faced with that prospect.
Khruschev was not Russian.
Kennedy was not young.
But I suppose that's only a matter of perspective, isn't it?
That's like dismissing the Soviet Union because Stalin wasn't Russian, childs games...
That's true, Stalin wasn't Russian, nor was Beria, nor was Vishynski, nor was Merkulov...
Your moniker is outdated by 66 years and the real Winson Smith would agree today.
Didn't finish my sentence there. Should have read:
...Kennedy, seeing that this was not much of a concession (given our ICBM development), removed them, allowing Khruschev to save a little more face than he otherwise would have.
Even one nuclear sub can launch enough nukes to finish off the world. And the idiots in the Pentagon think that a nuclear war can be won. MADness!
it is remarkeable how many peopel on zh are incapable of taking a disppasionate view of how history unfolds.
they get their rocks off shitting on the u.s. as if there havne't been other empires in the world before the u.s. and as if NOT being an empire immidiately absolves a country and their leadership from any moral scrutiny.
people think there is no desire to chop up russia?
fuck, the west is already trying the chop europe into smaller pieces with 'independence' movements in order to consolidate the entire area under corporate transnational rule. why wouldn't europe want this for russia? the only answer i could think of is because they first feel the need to destroy russia with nuclear weapons if that is what is necessary.
but let's be real. the stalemate of mutually assured destruction ensures that economic and financial warfare will prevail as the primary method of competition for quite some time.
the united states wants europe off of russian natural gas, and yet somehow germany closed its nuclear reactors and has been shutting coal plants down . why? for what? "ENVIRONMENTALISM???"
you have got to be kidding me. there are reasons germany shifted its energy mix to make it more dependent on russia. i am just not certain they are as simply as one would suspect. it would be too easy to accuse putin of exclusively engineering this system.
i would say america and london had a major hand in helping take germany down a suicidal path of financial energy suicide. why? there ARE PEOPLE WHO WANT WAR BECAUSE THEY BENEFIT FROM IT.
to get war, once needs crisis. to get crisis one needs extreme dependency.
if you want to ruin an entire family. start by getting the father addicted to drugs if you can......
>>fuck, the west is already trying the chop europe into smaller pieces with 'independence' movements in order to consolidate the entire area under >>corporate transnational rule.
I always thought the plan was to consolidate national economies, putting them under the control of ever more-centralized statist banking consortiums that are responsive to transnational corporate needs...
sir , i do beleive we are 100% in agreement about this. the question is as to apparent methods of achieving this.
i believe it can be achieved both through increasing national movements OR THE EXACT OPPOSITE, through indpeendnece movements.
the transnational corporates WILL NOT LOSE. they use the strengths of every possible method they can. which ever one that seems more expedient will suit them .and generally just as they fund both democrats and republicans, they will fund and co-opt ALL POLITICAL MOVEMENTS, whether to infiltrate and sabotage them, or to co-opt them for their own needs.
there is a fluid nature power that flows like water. peopel get wrapped up in thinking things work a certain way. things work MANY ways. a disppasionate view is capable of seeing that this underlying reality means we do not know the details but the big pigture is clear as to the motives. the methods might seem mysterous and clouded, and the precise shenaniganeering.
I get tired of seeing lying, backstabbing pricks described on here as the "fittest" in Darwinian terms. In a functioning society, such people would be lined up against a wall and shot instead of being allowed to reproduce.
history is mostly written by backstabbing pricks then.
every major fucking religion was born of ideolgues with good intentions enforcing a code of ethics at the end of the barrel of a political extermination campaign.
you don't get to the top without being a backstabbing prick. the question is....what kind.
we don't want new territory - people should decide where they want to live, not the governments
second - we don't want a war ,we are not a USA which destroying 2 countries every year
third we don't want any kind of war at our borders or Nazi or Nato bases
it's pretty simple and our government think the same
Borders make us tax donkeys. Works all the way around which is why every government embraces them. Won't ever change.
The common man never wants a war; he and his family pay the price. The elite on the other hand often benefit handsomely with the caveat that it is not uncommon for them to end up decorating lamp posts. Usually they don't see that outcome until its at their front door.
Regardless, I can assure you that in 100 years the global population will be a fraction of what it is now. No one is really prepared for what is coming.
Regards,
Cooter
it's not simple about tax donkeys - you should read about Kosovo...
By tax donkey I simply mean that I am born into a country (somewhere) and have to live under its rule (defined by taxes).
In this sense, the citizenry are donkeys doing "work" for the "masters" in exchange for existence.
I did not in any way imply "Tijuana Donkey", unless the taxes are really, really bad like in New York.

There are no nazis. This tells me you are speaking somewhere from Moscow, which is fine.
And of course, russia wants territory. Everybody wants Ukrainian territory, its arable land, everybody.
yes, they are not Nazis, just about 10000-20000 guys shouting in camera " kill russians with knifes", burning people alive in masses and using forbidden weapons and ballistic missiles. They are kids, we know
Oh come on.
Take a break from work.

Where are you located, Moscow or St Petersburg?
Look, folks need to realize this is how war really works. Let's make it simple for ya, m'kay?
Some guys go into a big bar. They get settled in, buy some drinks, get things going real good. While the means vary, they convince the bar owner to run a tab. Rounds for the house ensue and everyone gets going real good. Late into the evening, everyone knows there is a tab coming due. Maybe someone bought for you, maybe its your own, but it was a hell of a run of a party. The bar has a lot of profits booked, everyone had a great time, right!?!?
The way the tab settles is a huge ass brawl, folks get buried, and the bar gets burned down.
After all that, who owes who what? The booze came from someone's hard work; were they paid?
For decades the West has borrowed from the producers of the world. They consume the coffee, the metals, the energy, you name it. But this can only go on so long because the debts just become untenable. Gold keeps this game short (that is why bankers really hate it) and fiat stretches it out. Computerization of all this crap has put a lot of years on the scam and it is epic in proportion. But nevertheless, there comes a moment when the clever elites change sides (to survive), ensure the creditors take dirt naps, and attempt to zero out obligations (while holding onto their assets).
That is the real game; zero out obligations but hold onto real productive assets (farms, factories, resources). The elite of the world need a war to reposition and sustain themselves. Not all the elite will win (someone has to pay), so that is the game being played right now.
In the face of absolutely declining global energy production.
ASIDE: Don't start me on the shale/fracking stuff; it wouldn't exist at historically normal interest rates and is just another energy production can kicking measure ... unless we accept significantly higher energy prices as a median.
This is going kinetic, or the citizens of the respective elite will see justice as things deteriorate. So, there are your choices. The elites in the West think they can box and bury Putin. That is the gamble and the stakes are not small.

Cooter
Excellent post, Cooter. If I ever go back to Alaska, I should look you up.
And after all that, they still managed to beat them back. They will continue beating, regardless of how many toys NATO puts under the Christmas tree. The separatists are on track to reach legendary status. Without air superiority I doubt even NATO themselves could mount an offensive against the separatists.
Oh really? In this video they show Ukrainian far-rightists burying some old SS comrades wearing SS uniforms. I guess they are just WWII reenactors. http://youtu.be/mrG_UZibwbU

hey vlad. better dead not bluffin' than dead bluffin'. ready the nuke algos.
Russians don't bluff like american political clowns.
Geeeee. This has been going on for 6 months already.
High end Weapons need training also.
Wonder why ukrainians are holding ground now?
Duuuuh
NATO high end weapons delivered long time ago and still being delivered with already trained ukrainian users
Get real, the Kiev crowd is fighting Russian regulars that see Eastern and Southern Ukraine as part of their National heritage and identity, along with Ukrainians on their own fucking land!
NATO can arm all the soldiers they want from western Ukraine, but if they dont want that territory more then the people currently holding it, their done!!
No objections, none whatsoever.
Russians in principle do not recognize ukrainians as a separate nation.
In reality, we are seeing a new nation being formed.
Will ukrainians decide to be non-russians or be some kind of russians forever?
Now they have a chance to decide.
In reality, we are seeing a new nation being formed.
-it's not a new nation - there was USSR, inside USSR some regions change a state for some stupid reason by order from above+ all Urkrainians speak russian language, it's not a new nation. it's the same russians from one side and same russians and ukrainians from another side which was brainwashid by propaganda.
You see?
Russians do not accept ukrainians exist
can you read?
They are banning russian language in tv, books, etc. If someone says something wrong - they put him in jail.
Why not give people freedom to choose? - It's what is Nazi do
There are about 5-10mln ukrainias in Russian federation and they perfectly fine and can choose.
only 238 people out of nearly 2 million in the Crimea chose the Ukrainian language, and you imagine that all others forcibly making to be Ukrainians?
Ok, ok, Keep on.
I don't want to get you unemployed.
Life is tough in Russia.
Keep on. Make a living by trolling. No issues with me. Life is tough
You've been here 10 weeks and 5 days. You may blow me now.
...and you've been licking Putin's nuts for almost five years. What's that prove?
Are you a Likudnik baby killer? I ask because the far right Israeli Likud party, with lovely ethnic cleansing creatures like Avridoor Liebaerman and "we-don't-target-civillians" Netanyahoo, is funded by Russian oligarchs that Putin chased off.
The russian language has not been banned anywhere in Ukraine, all lot of Ukrainians
speak russian because they had to, all technical books in Ukrainian schools/collegse were in the Russian language.
Ukraine has a culture and language different to russia its not as harsh.
The majority of Ukrainians are fed up with putin and russian influence and with
what that brings.
Looks like they will soon be able to compare and contrast Russian influence with being a broke puppet of the IMF.
Where is Ukraine's gold, btw? Will they ever see it again or is it sitting with what used to be Germany's stack? Finally, what do the Ukrainian's think of the IMF yellow metal disappearing act??
"Ukraine has a culture"
UE has many cultures. read a little will you
No they are fed up with oligarch rule.

Every single point of the above is not correct, and I know from personal experience. I just visited last year the Carpatho-Russian region of Ukraine (the extreme westerm tip bordering Slovak and Hungary), and there has been pressure from Ukrainian nationalists in Kiev (even under Yanukovich) on the locals NOT to use Russian language, and the official records and books were in Ukrainian. It was not possible to buy a Russian-language newspaper or magazine anywhere, but NOT because there is no market. The Ukrainian authorities have forbidden the use of Russian language in periodicals, in fact since this territory was stolen from Czechoslovakia in 1945.
Fortunately, they can't prevent people from teaching Russian to their own children at home, despite the Ukrainian hypernationalism.
BFD! Are the ground-pounders geting fed, paid or re-supplied? No one is gonna stick around and shoot off rockets when they haven't eaten in a week!
We are all going to die--Lindsey graham
someone going to die first
How did that little "Butt Pirate" ever get elected? Seriously! Was it a state holiday, for perfectly able boys to ignore their responsibility day?
He was appointed by USA in december 2013
He was elected, by a bunch of idiots.
The " ünion Jack"... Why's there wierd spots over my letters? (weird)
He wasn't elected - this was a big show like in USA, no one actually counted voices. It's a simple thing
I don't know how Lindsey Graham got elected, and reelected, but if I was from South Carolina, I'd lie and say I was from Georgia or someplace instead. The man is an embarrassment to the state.
We can all hope graham will die soon. The rest not so much
economic collapse
re-de-escalation and re start of war
from my Russian view point i think it's 50 to 50
From what I've been reading, the struggle for Eastern Ukraine is under great debate inside Russia, with the "5th column" trying to undermind Putin and Novorussia. I believe this to be true, as there is no other reason for the rebels to agree to a ceasefire when they had the Ukie nazi's on the ropes. Of course they were going to re-arm... and of course NATO is breaking it's own rules by arming a non-NATO country. They are openly admiting this. Can't really predict how the chess match is going when you can't see all the pieces.
There is much more in play here than we know, that's for sure. My money is that the US/EU wants to keep Russia occupied long enough in its own backyard... so they can overthrow the Assad regime in Syria without interruption... as Putin threw a real monkey-wrench in that plan last summer. Then the Ukies will have served their purpose and promply disgarded.

How many nazis are still fighting?
27,888 Killed and wounded
1,649 captives
13,500 defectors
The true status of the war is still murky, but the greatest weapon is the human mind.
The russians are known for producing great grandmasters in chess (Garry Kasparov), and they are known for their prowess in computer science.

Great source, RIA :))) 100% owned by the Russian federal government. Says right there in their bio. You should check North Korean news source next, pretty sure they will say that South Korea is living in poverty.
As for Kasparov, I agree. He is one of those Russian intelligence guys who was persecuted by Putler and had to leave the country because he was in opposition. Fortunately there are many true Russians who see Putler for what he really is, too bad many on here are so deep into Russian propoganda brainwashing by reading RIA and RT that they just dont see it.
Here is what Kasparov is saying about our little Putler guy:
"You might compare the world’s increasingly complex relationship with Russia to a game of chess. And history has arguably seen no more formidable chess player than Garry Kasparov, who has been described by the New York Times as ‘Vladimir Putin’s chess master nemesis’.
“Putin will not play by the rules … it seems to me that the international community as a whole now is quite tired of Putin’s eccentric behaviour.”
At the age of 22, he became the youngest-ever world chess champion, leading the rankings for almost two decades. Among his many records, one he might rather forget: losing a match to a computer, IBM’s Deep Blue, in 1997.
Kasparov retired from the game in 2005, becoming a prominent figure in opposition politics in Putin’s Russia. He planned to run for president, but was forced to withdraw on a technicality.
In 2013, Kasparov left Russia, fearing arrest in a government crackdown on the opposition.
“I paid a heavy price; I had to leave the country … I t was difficult to reorganise my life and relocate … But I have nothing to regret because I did the right things … I don’t think that this regime will last forever,” he says.
He launched a campaign for president of the world chess governing body, FIDE. But earlier this month, Kasparov lost that bid, beaten by the longtime incumbent, the Putin-backed Kirsan Illyumzhinov. For the chess legend, largely unaccustomed to defeat, it seemed Kremlin forces had won again.
Kasparov says: “The West has [finally] recognised that Vladimir Putin won’t recognise any other language but the language of strength …. Putin is everybody’s problem and that’s what happens with dictators from the big countries when they have resources to cause trouble around the world. I think his weakest point is money … Putin’s strength was always based on his ability to throw cash into the game.”
Garry Kasparov talks to Al Jazeera about his opposition to Putin, the Ukraine crisis, his vision of Russia and the future of chess."
http://www.kasparov.com/garry-kasparov-putins-russia/
Kasparov is one of the tribe. He tows the zionist mantra. Of course he is against Russia. He knows Putin will not allow eastern Ukraine and the caucas region to become Israel 2.0. The Zios are FUCKED! So long Zios. Can't say it's been a pleasure knowing you.
Kasparov is a narcissist astronaut, unanimously detested by both the opposition and the pro-Kremlin crowds in Russia. You'd have to work hard to find a less relevant "authority" to quote.
+100
Here is Kasparov getting beaten by 13 year old Magnus Carlsen who is the world champion today.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HViUEm3VGk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjEmquJhSas
Notice how rude Kasparov is.
Magnus is not tribe and he is not a prick like Kasparov. Kasparov is not even one of the best chess players ever.
The list would probably be:
1. American Paul Morphy (who live in the 1860s). Fischer and others said he was the best. I have spoken to Russian and Ukie master chess players and they all say Morphy.
2. American Bobby Fischer
3. Norwegian Magnus - He may surpass Fischer but probably not Morphy.
Here is Magnus saying Fischer was better than Kasparov. Fischer's run up to his match against Spassky was incredible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6g77y_4OQs
First off, Kasparov has been belly dancing for the House of Soud for a long, long time. This dude doesn't have an honest bone in him and would sell his mother for a shekel.
kasparov? now there is a source one can believe in.
putin doesn't play by the rules. whos? yours? lmao
Although geopolitics is often analogised to chess it would be fatal to equate the two. Kasparov would beat Putin at chess but he is Putins puppy at geopolitics. Besides Putin walks, talks and most likely is a Christian Russian nationalist who has the following of a largely Christian cultured Russian people, the same ones who were for so long royally fucked over by the Jewish Bolshevics. Kasparov is a tribal waterboy trying to transfer his gift in one discipline into another discipline, no doubt with the assistance of his tribe.
Kasparov is a 5th column tool and an enemy of Russia across the board.
The part where tbey pulled the tank off the town square pedestal is beyond hilarious.
Go Russia!
In reality America has few military options in Russia's backyard unless it has the backing of a full and enthusiastic NATO and that is very unlikely. Europe has reason to be unexcited about a possible long and expensive conflict. While still trying to recover from a recession Europe would face fuel shortages and a massive spike in the price of natural gas.
Putin a great deal of leverage. Don't hold your breath for Putin to back-off or back-down, he has put down his marker and is now playing both Obama and Kerry for fools. If things really heat up the Russians will not rollover as other armies have when America approaches. More on this subject in the article below.
http://brucewilds.blogspot.com/2014/07/putin-holds-all-cards.html
At this point with the casualties the Kiev government has already suffered and the "false flag(s)" and coup that has already marked it, Kiev has only one real choice left. Yet another "false flag"?!!!
Weapons won't fix it and neither will 6,000 U.S. backed mercs and 1,000 "troops with American flag" patches on their shoulder.
It's over.
Eastern Ukraine will join Crimea within the next couple of months and the Western half will inevitably follow given what the IMF has already done to the economy!
Unless of course those weapons shipped over during the cease-fire are something other than conventional?...
Then we can all raise a glass to NATO as we collectively check out for "Cloud 9"!
DU. Depleted Uranium. US will argue they are conventional weapons. They are not. They are chemical warfare. Slow death and destruction for everyone on both sides in the battle zone, civilians, and their children and children's children, like in Fallujah.
Putin will raise a great shout about this, which will be heard around the (third) world, but not in London or New York.
Despite this, the author's conclusion that "The pro-US regime in Kiev, by deception, is about to claim bloody victory from the jaws of defeat" is too pessimistic. I've been watching the battle reports day by day, and my call is that while the NATO arms will prolong and increase the bloodshed and suffering, no amount of weapons plus a few weeks or even months of training and coaching by advisors will turn raw, unwilling and resentful conscripts into a force that can beat experienced, blooded, committed and well-led warriors fighting for their homes and a cause they believe in.
It may look like a close call for a while, but then as twice before the Ukraine offensive will collapse - and this time the so-called government in Kiev with it.
WW
Ditto.
Let's also point out the fact that the reason the Kiev junta came into being was to keep Russia on the defensive following last years unsuccessful draw into action over Syria.
Again more bloodshed as I'm certain the "bloodletting" will be far worse in Syria than on Ukraine, but both theater(s) are losing propositions for Israel and the U.S. who will be doing better than 95% of the fighting and this is what ultimately will hasten the destruction from within of the U.S. military machine that is desperately looking for a reason to be fighting but doesn't have the wherewithall, direction or the "guts" anymore after 13 years given the adversaries now.
Add what is happening with the referendums in Scotland and Spain and the economic collapse of the EU and the U.S. and you pretty much know what will be coming shortly!
The terrorists are coming... The terrorists are coming...
Needless to say Israel's Samson Option lives!!!
re Washingtom/Nato armed Kiev under cover of ceasefire.
What else would one expect from duplicitous ZIO-Punk USSA?
At ease, McAdams.
In the first place, Russian satellite surveillance has informed the General Staff where all the tanks, armored vehicles, missile batteries, etc. have been parked or hidden.
Putin was hardly tricked by Poroshenko's abuse of the ceasefire. If Ukraine tries to use this weaponry on the pro-Russians, there can be no doubt that Russian, missiles, rockets and maybe a couple of Tupolevs will send the Uke Army back to where they came from.
If NATO wants to enact more sanctions, fine.
I'd like to know how much the EU's GDP is off since the first sanctions in the Spring. Several EU countries are already fed up with sanctions Any more of them, plus shooting at the Russians in Donbas, and voila, a critical mass of European refuseniks.
The Swedes just tossed out Fredrik Reinfeldt and Carl Bildt, the Lickspittle Sisters. These are the guys who entrapped Assange and who love getting cornholed by Obama when he can get it up.
Scotland on Thursday. Look for Cameron's lackeys to stuff the ballot boxes.
Maybe he's setting Obama, Poroshenko and Assmussen up for a modern version of an old Russian trick that both Napoleon and Hitler fell for.
Whatever the case, all I can say is "Surprise us, Vladimir. We love surprises.
Most of the Ukie conscripts do not want to fight their neighbors. They were lied to and then pushed to the front. they had no clue what they were doing there. The Ukie Army can only win with massive mercenaries,
Mercs help but they do not know the land and the locals will hate them and kills them. NovoRussia/DPR/Ghost Battallion/rebels have smashed anything the Ukies have thrown at them. The tanks are easily taken out. I doubt Russia needs to provide anti tank missiles like Kornets but if they do, forget about any tanks.
The Ukie people are totally brainwashed by TV. Sound familiar? The West will have to shovel tons of money to keep the Ukraine afloat. Eventually, the Ukies will get smart and go to Kiev and lynch the scum or they will be ground down into the dirt.
Those sanctions are hitting Europe and European companies and I am sure they are not happy. The Waterloo or Stalingrad will be the European car companies in Russia. The euro car companies have big investments in Russia and Russia is a growing market. European car & truck companies create huge numbers of jobs in Germany. These German and European car companies have to know that Russia and China are friends.
The Russians have been grat to work with. The Chinese want European technology. If the Koreans can knock off German car technology - what is stopping China? So if Europe really F's this up over the Ukraine then one day you may see the Chinese and Russian market for autos booming with Chinese, korean and maybe Japanese cars. If the Europeans lose the China and Russian auto markets - they are f'ed.
Tempus Fugit! General Winter is starting to wake up here in Minn.

All paid for by German tech company Siemens. Well, whatever.
I think Heinz Ketchup was in on it. I'll check with Kerry.
Article leaves out the fact that Putin crafted and pushed and got the ceasefire, not as a dumb, blind idiot like so many western leaders, but as a means to re-equip pro-Russian forces in south and east Ukraine, in preparation for severing a big S.E. slice off of Ukraine and bringing it under Russian control.
Putin is a wily strategist - he knew and does know what Kiev and NATO are up to, but he's up to similar but better secret strategies of his own.
Article also leaves out the part about how Kiev has destabilized its own rule by playing into Putin's strategy of delaying Ukraine's move west.
Too bad one-sided, one-eyed articles like this get play.
Well said Joe.
I continue to be suprised at how well Putin performs by making subtle moves, rather than the big over-reactions Nato expected.
I expect the US will give up on Ukraine and put more effort into ISIS for a worthy (?) opponent. Or maybe Ebola will distract the sheeple from the collap$e.
Where are the facts of Putin arming anyone? Just because you or the mainstream media keep saying it doesn't make it true.
NATO (Goldman Sachs) should stick to taking over Africa where they have Ebola as an ally.
...where they have Ebola as an ally.
...where they released Ebola as an ally - (fixed)
http://www.chiptatum.com/index.php/articles/21-pandemic could be....
Oh they used the ceasefire to regroup and arm theselves....oh I was so tricked by that, not expected at all.
I am sure the rebels were being reinforced and weaponised as well. Russia knows that the US having gone this far in their game wont back track until Europe is ruined and tells the US to get the fuck out of it
Here is Nigel Farage's take on the situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ULMnojBxXIU
Political Analyst: NATO Violated Each and Every Item of Its Agreement With Russia

General Beringer: [smiles sarcastically at McKittrick] Mr. McKittrick, after very careful consideration, sir, I've come to the conclusion that your new defense system sucks.
McKittrick: I don't have to take that, you pig-eyed sack of shit.
General Beringer: Oh, I was hoping for something a little better than that from you, sir. A man of your education.
Major Lem: [holding a telephone] General, it's the president.
McKittrick: What are you... what are you going to tell him?
General Beringer: I'm ordering our bombers back to fail-safe. We might have to go through this thing after all.

This article assumes the West/NATO is omnipotent and can do what it wants. The assumption is not based on reality.
Poroshenko is not interested in prolonging the conflict or increasing the bloodshed. True, his government, appointed before he was sworn in, serves the West and he is its prisoner. However, having forced them to the negotiating table and got legislative approval for the agreement that guarantees devolution of powers and amnesty to the combatants in the southeast, Poroshenko can dismiss the government if they try to escalate the hostilities. If he doesn't, Russia will step in to show Kyiv its place. Russia hasn't directly intervened so far because they wanted to give the democratically elected President Poroshenko a chance to set things right. He got the chance. If he doesn't/cannot keep his promises to the people in the southeast, Russia will step in to do so for him.
Putin has jailed some Billionaires in Russia. For that alone he is ok in my book.Has any POTUS lately done anything remotely as ballsy?
If this was a patriotic, virtuous crusade, the West Ukrainians would be mobbing the recruiting offices. This has not happened.Ergo, the
present gov't does not have popular support, certainly not from the ukrainian mothers of conscripts in the combat zone.
The midnight confiscation of the Ukrainian Treasury gold reserves (where are the bars now?) was the moment of truth for me.
Where are the Libyan gold bars? I was always worried about the Taliban getting their hands on some Stinger missles or other SAMs.
Now that there is complete chaos everywhere, anyone could have there hands on high tech weaponry.Remember Mogadishu?
The Somalis were using RPG's with a proximity fuse to take out the blackhawk choppers.
Look, the world is broke. We don't need another cold war defense (arms) race.
"Ergo, the present gov't does not have popular support, certainly not from the ukrainian mothers of conscripts in the combat zone."
This is true. There has been quite a lot of ongoing civil unrest in Kiev for months, so clearly there's plenty of non-supporters of Poroshenko. Only yesterday, one member of Kiev's parliament was dragged out and thrown into a trash skip.
Too bad Western leaders and obedient MSM don't provide much coverage and prefer to spew out relentless propaganda.
"Only yesterday, one member of Kiev's parliament was dragged out and thrown into a trash skip"
He was pro Russian btw http://abcnews.go.com/International/video/lawmaker-trash-ukraine-25542774
Thanks for that. It explains the small puzzle I had with the unrest in Kiev.
I heard that much of the unrest was from the Right Sector thugs but couldn't quite understand why, given that Poroshenko is already doing what they want.
So we seem to have the Right Sector thugs who want "more" war and the mothers/wives/families of Ukie conscripts who want "less" war.
"The pro-US regime in Kiev, by deception, is about to claim bloody victory from the jaws of defeat."
LOL suitable conclusion to a basically nonsensical article.
Life ain't that simple mate.
Russia will have the right to defend the eastern Republics if Ukraine violates the ceasefire they signed after Putin negotiated it with Poroshenko. They invaded Georgia in 2008 to protect S Ossetia under similar circumstances.
Invasion of Georgia was to secure tunnel under the mountains for Russia and NOTHING more.
Georgia attacked S Ossetia in violation of a ceasefire. Russia's response was highy moral.
And completely necessary.
To secure the tunnel...
Arseniy(hole) Petro(dollar)vych(i) Yatsenyuk(fuck) is a timid blind treacherous SMUCK.
When this cunt is hanging from a post with those lizard eyes bulging out big and wide Ukraine may see peace.
If you want to read a bit on what is going on then Cassad is the place to start. Although generally on the Militia's side, he is based in Crimea, his reports have proved to be accurate over the past weeks. He has previously made the point that the Militia urgently needed to regroup and get organised at the time of the ceasefire. Much of that has been achieved but there are units in the Luhansk area that have not yet 'come to heel'.
When this starts up again expect it to be different to last as the UA has learnt its lessons. What will be important is, if the UA believes the Russians are coming, their soldiers may decide its not worth it and give up. But that's in the future. It looks like the ceasefire is now a political and journalistic fantasy just waiting for an opportunity to blame its breakdown on the seperatists.
He put this up overnight.
The vice-premier of the DPR Andrey Purgin said that the cease-fire regime is not observed in Donetsk for more than two days now.
«I think that there is no truce anymore. Heavy weapons are activly used. Cities are bombarded. Four districts of Donetsk out of eight are constantly bombarded. A shell recently hit a bus with people inside», — "RIA Novosti" cites the vice-premier of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
Mr. Purgin also announced that the Ukrainian security forces started to use heavy weapons: «Two days ago something huge fell on the bus stop in Khartsyzsk, due to which a crater was formed that was six meters wide and two meters deep», — he said.
The contact group on the situation in Donbass with the participation of the representatives from Russia, Ukraine, militia, and OSCE signed the plan of peaceful settlement on September 5th in Minsk. Its key points are: the cease fire, withdrawing the military from residential blocks, and the "all for all" POW exchange.
PS. Actually, clashes and shelling didn't stop for a single day after the moment of signing the so-called "truce". The intensity of military action and its location varied, but blood continued to be spilled. On certain days the number of KIAs was in the tens. Considering the positions of the NAF, it gets increasingly hard to pretend that the "truce" was a good idea.

Anything that anyone does that squeezes Putin's balls is Very good news. So the western countries are devious and this is a surpise & disappointment to the writer and so many commeners - this is child's play compared to what Putin and the Russian power brokers do - they have always lied annd cheated on every agreement and treaty, it is in their genes. Wake up and grow up.
Just the opposite, it is the US who breaks every treaty. Like the one about no NATO expansion to east.
Your ID, BlackVoid, is an accurate description of your mind.
Illumitnate us with examples (facts) of the cheating "on every agreement and treaty."
They had a secret facility weaponing anthrax and producing HUGE quantities AFTER they signed a treaty with the USA ending biological weapons development. Don't respond with any denial or conspiracy propaganda that my statement is false because I was there, on site, and saw it with my own eyes.
Why don't you go to Iraq and find me some of Saddam's nuclear weapons?
No, Kiev will lose badly. Weapons or not.
What weapon systems would help a conscript army to take victory? None, really.
Kiev forces will be fully defeated during Winter. The NAF is also regrouping and rearming. The so-called ceasefire is only present in the media, on the actual battlefield, fighting rages on.
And if all else fails, then Russia will intervene with full force.
Current UA government will not be left in power. UA will never be a NATO member (or if UA is admitted, then that is official start to WW3).
40 Million Ukranians can do whatever they want
.
if it becomes a popular resistance from Kiev i would think it alot harder to handle than afghanistan
It's okay, McCain has vetted them. Give them all the weapons they need. What could possibly go wrong?
Especially since we know from ekm1 above that there's not a single neo-Nazi in Ukraine, just freedom-loving vegetarian peace activists.
The pro-russian rebels expected no less from the Ukies/NATO fascists. What would have been surprising in fact is if they had not attempted the amateurish deception. The rebels had already factored this deceit and prepared accordingly. The bumbling NATO numbskulls and their neo-nazi puppets are in for a nasty surprise, and it will not end until Eastern Ukraine is independent.
