As Digg reports, traveler Alexander Hennessy was riding a bike through a rough neighborhood in Buenos Aires when he was held up at gunpoint. Watch as Hennessy gets away unharmed, and with an amazing video.

The victim described herself as a “light-skinned black female,” according to The State. Seriously, if you're going to go on a cycling tour of a 3rd World country, learn more of their language than just "amigo"...
Also - "Serpentine, Sheldon!" .... running straight away from a guy with a gun is not optimal.
The point of attack is the gun. There was no barrier between the cyclist and that gun.
The gun is the threat. (If it has not been used it is only a threat.) Neutralize the threat.
You run TOWARD the gun, take it away, and cap that bastard dead. Empty the entire clip.
(You can also swing that backpack as a weapon. The shock will paralyze him for a second or two. At that point you have the advantage. Exploit that advantage.)
Well, of course, if you're of a mindset that you should attack the attacker. The only thing this guy has attacked recently is his own supressed misognystic tendencies (followed by a good cry). I was merely pointing out that if you DO feel the need to run, serpentine is the best option. :)

This wasn't a "rough" neighborhood. It's "La Boca", one of the most visited tourist attractions. Robberies tend to be big on tourists though.
"Sacate la mochila", is just "Give me your backpack", that was too stupid, risking your life for a backpack. Fortunatelly the guy has a gun, with a knife, he would have an additional scar all around the face.
When seconds count, Brazillian cops are just minutes away (by bike, apparently).
My GoPro would have filmed that fuckwit theif getting his throat punched in, followed by his skull stomped into pieces on the curb; but hey, to each his own.......

Armed robberies happen every day on camera. Just FOIA the video from any local court house.
Charge his ass as soon as he puts the gun back in his front pocket. Press his face into the bike's muffler, poke his eyes out, whatever you've got to do. Could have slammed him into the wrought iron fence too when the opprotunity presented itself.
