Shocking Anti-Islam Ad Campaign Coming To New York City Buses And Subways
In a move that is certain to further escalate already stretched racial tensions in America's most cosmopolitan city, some 100 New York City buses will soon carry jarring anti-Islamic posters which feature photos of an ISIS beheading victim, his alleged executioner, Adolf Hitler, declare "Yesterday's moderate [Muslim] is today's headline" and proclaim "It's not Islamophobia, it's Islamorealism" as part of an "educational campaign." According to the NY Daily News, the ads, paid for by flame-throwing blogger Pamela Geller, at a cost of $100,000, are intended as an “education campaign” to warn of the “problem with jihad” and Islamic sharia law, Geller said.
Below are some of the ads which will soon grace 100 buses and at the entrances of the E. 59th St. station and the Columbus Circle station.
In one poster, a photo from the video in which U.S. journalist was killed is sits next to a photo of a British man suspected of being the militant behind the ISIS beheadings.
A second ad contains a 1940s photo of a pro-Nazi Palestinian leader chatting with Adolf Hitler under the headline, “Islamic Jew-Hatred: It’s in the Quran.”
Pamela Geller, creators of the anti-jihad subway ads, speaks at an MTA meeting two years ago.
As Al Arabiya reports, the ads also target the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil rights group based in Washington D.C. by linking it to Hamas.
“Geller is a known hater and there’s no law in this country that forces her to tell the truth,” Corey Saylor, a CAIR spokesman told the Daily news, adding that the group had considered suing Geller but did not think it was worth it.
Geller's message, however, does not come unopposed and it is none other than new NYC Mayor de Blasio who spoke up against Geller's campaign:
“These ads are outrageous, inflammatory and wrong, and have no place in New York City, or anywhere. These hateful messages serve only to divide and stigmatize when we should be coming together as one city,” New York City Mayor de Blasio told the U.S. daily.
“While those behind these ads only display their irresponsible intolerance, the rest of us who may be forced to view them can take comfort in the knowledge that we share a better, loftier and nobler view of humanity," he said.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority admitted that the ads will offend public-transportation passengers but had no choice but to allow them.
It tried to block Geller several years ago when she wanted to post ads in the subway that labeled enemies of Israel as “savages.”
The MTA said the ads violated its “no demeaning” language policy. But a judge ruled that rejecting the ads violated Geller’s First Amendment rights.
“If you read the court decision on this, our hands are tied,” said MTA spokesman Adam Lisberg.
Following that battle, the MTA updated its policy to force all viewpoint ads like Geller’s to contain language clearly stating that the opinions expressed are not the transit agency’s. Geller’s new ads will contain the disclaimer.
Because surely every stunned observer of the iconic picture of US journalist Foley about to be beheaded, plastered on NYC mass transit, will stop and carefully read all the way to the fine print. And some still wonder why the animosity between middle-eastern religious groups leads to ever rising animosity and ever greater bloodshed.

Also wronger. I know of examples of individual people who are admirable and worthy. At one time I knew a Muslim well enough to credibly say that she was an outstanding person. But if you select a random 100 people out of any area of the world that measures greater than, say, a 10-mile square, there is an excellent chance of > 95% of them sucking. Probably > 99% in most Islamic countries, to judge by the results of their opinion polls in particular and their overall culture and history in general.
Here is the dynamic at play:
1) Some self-selected people, in this case ISIS or ISIL or whatever they're calling themselves this week, decide that they represent a group, in this case Islam.
2) Those people then commit an atrocity of some sort like beheading someone, and do it loudly and publicly in the name of the group they claim to represent.
3) People not associated with that group, like the 6 billion people on the planet who are NOT Muslim, get angry at those freaks and say they suck.
4) Muslims who are not associated with the atrocity-committing freaks get incredibly angry at the people who are saying that the atrocity-committing freaks suck.
5) Those same Muslims' condemnation of the freaks who perform awful acts in their name is muted or nonexistent.
6) People not associated with the situation at all scratch their heads as they wonder why these Muslims are angrier at people's rage over atrocities than they are at people who, according to them, don't represent them but are doing these things in their name.
7) Those unassociated people then take a look at the Koran, where they see that it says plainly lots of things like "it's okay to lie to a non-Muslim" or "it's okay to kill anyone who won't convert to Islam".
8) Those people then look at a place like Saudi Arabia and note the nearly absolute lack of religious (or any other) freedom.
9) Those people look at any country affiliated with the OIC and see basically the same thing.
10) Those people then look at a map and note that all around the edges of the area of greatest Islamic influences (MENA) are many of the nastiest and longest-running wars and other conflicts on the planet.
11) Those people then compare the above with constant claims of "racism" (though no particular race is involved) and something called "Islamophobia" from groups like CAIR.
12) Those people then look in the dictionary, see that a "phobia" is an "unreasonable fear" of something, and ask themselves WTF is unreasonable about fearing (or at least getting skittish about) a phenomenon that kills more of its own than any other on planet earth and yet blames most of its ills on the small number of people living in a sliver of land along the Mediterranean, or else on another country on the other side of the world. That's insane.
13) Those people then note the paucity of books translated into the languages most used by Muslims. Also the lack of any worthwhile books (or anything else but oil, and needing foreign help to even extract that intelligently) being produced by people from any OIC member nation.
14) Those people then shrug their shoulders, decide "gee, I guess I'm just a hater. Who knew." and they go back to playing fantasy football or hitting the lake for some fishing or doing some other pursuit that is likewise far more productive than worrying about some lady putting some pictures on buses in NYC.
Anyone who doesn't know by now that Islam causes problems wherever it gets too concentrated is catatonic or at least wilfully stupid. And that's really about all there is to say. If you disagree that's fine, but my experience is that there is no real gain to be made in you and I talking about it. You can say what you'll say, and I'll keep believing my lyin' eyes. And I'm not dumb enough to even try to talk you out of your view. I've tried that before, and I learn from my mistakes.

The Talmud probably has some evil shit in it, I don't really know. I know the Bible does. But the thing is...when is the last time you heard about a Jewish or Christian group publicizing a videotape of them beheading someone because they're not Christian/Jewish? The Jews haven't done that sort of thing for 2000 years, and the Christians finished getting it out of their systems about the time of the Reformation (or thereabouts). Muslims are the only ones doing the things today that Muslims do, or at least they're the only ones I've seen anything about. And the Muslims that aren't doing those things get more angry at us for noticing than they do at the ones doing the beheading.
