Pentagon Prepares To Unveil Syria War Plans As "Broad Coalition" Crumbles
A day after US ambassador to The UN Samantha Powers stated, "we will not do the airstrikes alone if the president decides to do the airstrikes," and Russia warned, "bombing Syria without the cooperation of Damascus can have destructive practical consequences on the humanitarian situation in Syria," it appears President Obama's grand strategy to combat IS via a 'broad coalition' of allies is flailing. While the WSJ reports, The Pentagon is preparing war plans in Syria that would include an intensive initial wave of strikes against Islamic State targets, Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier explained today that providing air support or sending ground troops to fight Islamic State is "out of the question for us." For now, it appears, the only nation involved in the 'broad coalition' is France. Why? Because as we said yesterday, this is merely over fears of more BNPs. "A key component of this would be allied participation," said a U.S. official; does '1' ally count?
As The Wall Street Journal reports,
The U.S. is seeking commitments from allies to join in airstrikes on Syria before it launches attacks against Islamic State targets, American officials said, reflecting concerns about acting unilaterally.
The administration hopes that one or two allies will join in the initial wave of airstrikes, which could be launched as early as next week, these officials said.
President Barack Obama and other top U.S. officials are attending the annual United Nations General Assembly in New York this month, in part, to try and woo more partners to the U.S.-led coalition.
The Pentagon is preparing war plans in Syria that would include an intensive initial wave of strikes against Islamic State targets.
U.S. officials said adding allies would help spread the burden of the strikes. But far more important is the symbolism a joint strike would have, showing that the U.S. isn't acting unilaterally but has support from the international community.
"A key component of this would be allied participation," said a U.S. official.
As Bloomberg reports, Germany is "out"
Providing air support or sending ground troops to fight Islamic State in Iraq is “out of the question for us,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier tells broadcaster ARD in an intv.
Combating IS requires “separation of labor” as France, U.S. carry out air strikes.
Approach in Syria will be different, more political, as there is no single frontline as in Iraq.
Steinmeier sees no reason to lift ban on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) amid IS offensive.
And while France has helped out - fearing more $9 billion "penalties" for its banking system if it did not - even they are backing away...
France has joined the U.S. in striking targets in Iraq, but French President François Hollande has publicly said he would not extend those strikes to Syria. French officials have said they are worried striking Islamic State in Syria could bolster the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
And other nations are faltering...
Foreign ministers meeting with Mr. Kerry Friday appeared split on whether to push the war on Islamic State into Syria.
The narrow focus of the U.S. government on Islamic State militants has hampered diplomatic efforts at building up a coalition, particularly among Arab countries. Some Arab diplomats have said the U.S. should focus on attacking the Assad regime as well as extremist groups.
None of Washington's Middle Eastern allies have publicly committed to participation in military operations against Islamic State, and administration officials have tried to deflect questions about how far Arab leaders may be willing to go to support the effort.
Other nations in the region have privately raised questions about the depth of the American commitment to push back Islamic State, worried that the U.S. will pull out too quickly, and not press long enough to permanently weaken the militants.
As Russia warns...
"We are concerned about bombing Syria without the cooperation of Damascus," Russia's ambassador to the U.N. Vitaly Churkin said. "It can have destructive practical consequences on the humanitarian situation in Syria."
* * *
So far, the 'Strategy' of a broad coalition is failing - but don't let that shake the administration's "hope" for "change."
Mr. Obama's national security adviser, Susan Rice, on Friday played down any potential divisions within the coalition or confusion about who would be leading the effort.
"This will be a unified coalition," Ms. Rice told reporters. "It will be cohesive. And it will be under one single command authority."
Ms. Rice reiterated the U.S. position on a ground war, saying: "Our strategy does not involve U.S. troops on the ground in a combat role in either Iraq or Syria."
* * *
Talking-Points Mission Accomplished...
* * *
As National Review's Victor Davis Hanson notes, for now, most allies are sitting tight and waiting for preemptive, unilateral U.S. action. If we begin defeating the Islamic State, they may eventually join in on the kill; if not, they won’t. That is a terrible way to wage coalition warfare, but we are reaping what we have sown.
Why the reluctance for allies to join the U.S.?
Most in the Middle East and Europe do not believe the Obama administration knows much about the Islamic State, much less what to do about it. The president has dismissed it in the past as a jayvee team that could be managed, contradicting the more dire assessments of his own secretary of defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
When Obama finally promised to destroy the Islamic State, Secretary of State John Kerry almost immediately backtracked that idea of a full-blown war. Current CIA director John Brennan once dismissed as absurd any idea of Islamic terrorists seeking a modern caliphate. It may be absurd, but it is now also all too real.
Such confusion sadly is not new. The president hinges our hopes on the ground on the Free Syrian Army - which he chose not to help when it once may have been viable. And not long ago he dismissed it as an inexperienced group of doctors and farmers whose utility was mostly a “fantasy.”
No ally is quite sure of what Obama wants to do about Syrian President Bashar Assad, whom he once threatened to bomb for using chemical weapons before backing off.
Potential allies also feel that the Obama administration will get them involved in an operation only to either lose interest or leave them hanging. When Obama entered office in 2009, Iraq was mostly quiet. Both the president and Vice President Joe Biden soon announced it was secure and stable. Then they simply pulled out all U.S. troops, bragged during their re-election campaign that they had ended the war, and let our Iraqi and Kurdish allies fend for themselves against suddenly emboldened Islamic terrorists.
In Libya, the administration followed the British and French lead in bombing the Moammar Gadhafi regime out of power — but then failed to help dissidents fight opportunistic Islamists. The result was the Benghazi disaster, a caricature of a strategy dubbed “leading from behind,” and an Afghanistan-like failed state facing Europe across the Mediterranean.
Now, the president claims authorization to bomb the Islamic State based on a 13-year-old joint resolution - a Bush administration-sponsored effort that Obama himself had often criticized. If the president cannot make a new case to Congress and the American people for bombing the Islamic State, then allies will assume that he cannot build an effective coalition either.
Finally, potential allies doubt that the United States wants to be engaged abroad. They are watching China flex its muscles in the South China Sea. They have not yet seen a viable strategy to stop the serial aggression of Russian president Vladimir Putin. Iran seems to consider U.S. deadlines to stop nuclear enrichment in the same manner that Assad scoffed at administration red lines. With Egypt, the administration seemed confused about whether to support the tottering Hosni Mubarak government, the radical Muslim Brotherhood, or the junta of General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi — only at times to oppose all three.
Obama himself seems disengaged, if not bored, with foreign affairs. After publicly deploring the beheading of American journalist James Foley, Obama hit the golf course. When the media reported the disconnect, he scoffed that it was just bad “optics.”
There is a legitimate debate about the degree to which the United States should conduct a preemptive war to stop the Islamic State before it gobbles up any more nations. But so far the president has not entered that debate, much less won it.
No wonder, then, that potential allies do not quite know what the U.S. is doing, how long America will fight, and what will happen to U.S. allies when we likely get tired, quit, and leave.
For now, most allies are sitting tight and waiting for preemptive, unilateral U.S. action. If we begin defeating the Islamic State, they may eventually join in on the kill; if not, they won’t.
That is a terrible way to wage coalition warfare, but we are reaping what we have sown.

Allies? We don't need no steenking allies!
Moderate Syrian Rebels..
Bwa Ha Ha Ha Ha!
Man, thats the best one I've heard all week.
The US will do as it always does when allies are needed: crank up the printing presses to high speed and buy them.
SMELLS ... Like US Wants Get isis In SYRIA, But At The Same Time GET ASSAD Also ???
The Most Rest Of The World Knows Taking out ASSAD Will SINK All Of SYRIA Into An Horrible Violent Abys, And They WANT NO PART OF IT.
Wow...RUSSIA Right Again???????????
putin 2016
By broad coalition they mean it is supported by a coalition of broads.
Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Mrs. Choomboy and the other usual suspects.
This ought to be good, the Pentagon vs the CIA...
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/21/world/middleeast/suspicions-run-deep-i...
From the NYT's of all sources... Time to throw Barry under the bus as he is soon to officially be a lame duck...
AIPAC + CRIF
What happened to all the Arabs we trained? They turned tail and ran. On the bright side, I sense another great photo opportunity for Senator McCain.
"Brave, brave Sir Robin, Sir Robin ran away!
When danger reared its ugly head
Sir Robin turned his tail and fled!..."
How many times does JCS Head Dempsy have to tell them all ISIS is funded by close allies?
Nuland: "fuck the middle east"
Let the mother f'ing Saudi's pay, fight and support a coalition. It's theirs, and all the other pig ass oil rich country's out there, whose asses are on the line, should all hell break out there. Why should we give a fuck if they don't?
It appears there are 2 types of muslims... The religious nutters that wil kill anyone or anything -and- the second group which are a bunch of pussies that turn tail and run at the first hint of aggression... Even with over 200 US made fighter jets in the area and Arab standing armies, they are useless as tits on a boar hog...
Add Samantha Powerless to the coalition of broads.
or threaten them if it's really important.
I'm beginning to believe that the govt. wants assad out so bad, they need political cover to arm the rebels... If we get enough push back and nobody bombing with us... we can just say.... "we're going to arm the rebels" Which, of course, will go and kill assad and not likely go after each other till after assad is out of the picture....
Then, we can keep arming the rebels to go after their secondary target which would be IS at that point.
The presses are already being cooled with liquid nitrogen, with engravers working 24/7.
.
That is indeed a good one, for two reasons.
First, "moderate" is just the game that is played while receiving CIA training in Jordan. Moderate is just a euphemism for pre-ISIS militants in training.
Second, most of the "Syrian" rebels are not Syrian, but foreign wahhabist rodents on the Saudi payroll.
The best thing the US government could do to defeat ISIS would be to stop funding ISIS, make Turkey seal their Syrian border, apologize to Assad, and then stay out of the way of the Syrian Arab Army/Air Force.
None of the Syrian rebels are Syrian; none of them. Look at the interviews with Syrian citizens who survived capture. "They have long beards and speak a strang kind of Arabic; we don't know who they are". Syria is being invaded.
Here's a picture of one of the Nice Terrorists they want to help:
http://www.moonofalabama.org/2014/09/cia-anti-syria-program-finances-wah...
I doubt the city of Mosul is being run by a few hundred Wahhabis. Al Big-Daddy is Iraqi, not a foreigner. ISIS is not only foreigners. At least in Iraq, it's a Sunni gig with local participants.
That's not to say the Syrian disaster wasn't created by international jihadists working for West/Saudi/Israel. It was.
And thirdly... ``Moderate`` Syrian rebels have signed a truce with ISIS.
.
Yep. It's at the bottom of the ISIS employment application.
I agree on this whole "moderate" snipe. I suspect the coalition falls apart because of the complexity of what we are actually doing. We will simultaneously oppose Assad, support "good" rebels fighting him, kill the bad rebels who are fighting the good rebels, and fighting Assad and actually anyone of a different group. We will then get good Muslims, Shia and Sunni especially to help us fight the bad Muslims who are sometimes fighting Assad, sometimes fighting rebels and sometimes fighting good Muslims, Persians, Arabs and Kurds. We will train "good" rebels who heretofore we could not tell from "bad" rebels a.k.a. ISIS and hope they don't turn out to be or become "bad" rebels in the future.
How would you like to be the Special Forces trainers sitting in a class getting ready to deploy. Instructor: "Okay men, the first class is how to tell "good" Muslim rebels from bad Muslims from good Muslims that go bad. This will be followed by, a class on telling the difference between Kurds, Shia, Sunni's, Yazidi, bad Sunni's, bad Shia, Assad Alawhite, Assad Shia in Lebanon, bad Sunni's in Iraq, good Sunni's in Syria, bad Sunni's in Iraq and so on. This will be followed by updates on who we like and who is on our side this week versus who has changed sides and wants to now kill us. Stay tuned men, because it can change at any moment."
Does this make sense for Obama to fight the one that he has been funding and training and just asked for hundreds of million dollar funding from the congress?
Robert Parry's take on USyrian 'accord' brokered by Russian Intel:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/reported-us-syrian-accord-on-air-strikes/54...
Why the reluctance to join us? How about because we're crazy as a shit-house mouse; and we created the fucking group in the first place. How about that for a reason?
At the end of the day, its just not worth it. The world is out of oil.
To commit to to a broad coalition to go get some more isn't gonna happen at this point. The War Fighters all even understand the diminishing returns of war under those circumstances, and now even most individuals see that.
Unfortunately several generations of Western government power structures have all been based upon that. Their social structures depend upon more oil. It is they who will now start to come undone.
Ok, let me say this again:
Number 1:
Air warfare does not work and will never work unless the plan is extinguish anybody, fighers, kids, civilians, dogs, cats etc.
There is no such thing as Modern Air Warfare when the military wants to strike only fighers, not civilians.
Ground troops to coordinate air strikes are inevitable.
Number 2:
Isis is not an issue.
The issue is IRAN AND IRAN QUDS
The strikes would be aimed to hit Khamenei and Quds by eliminating Assad first.
Right now Iran controls:
Baghdad
Damascus
Sanaa (yemen) just today
Obama and Warren Buffett want cooperation with Quds but US Military and Saudis are saying, absolutely not
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/sep/20/irans-quds-force-aiding-...
USA is about to lose control of middle east oil if Military obeys to Obama, so bank lobby could survive another day with SDRs and Iran.
Prepare for blood, real blood, real rich blood.
Saudis won't stand still.
What do you think the Saudis are going to do?
Remember gulf states bombing Libya?
Some F-16s from gulf states could suddently bomb all parked MIGs on Assad's air fields.
Then Assad is gone. That's all he's got left, air force.
I've got a hunch that the middle east will be controlled by one country eventually.
Israel?
.
Good comedy. Best I've seen this day.
Don't forget to magically wish away all Syrian air defense systems first or those gulf state F-16s will end up as scrap metal on the ground.
Ummmm, you haven't been following events in Syria very closely, have you?
Syria air defense system?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Israel has disassembled that one already. It's been years
Funny that you believe that.
Even funnier will be if the Saudi Air Farce believes it.
Maybe ekm also believe in USA's nuclear superiority. LOL.
Syria Shoots Down NATO-Member Turkey's Military F-4 Jet
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/syria-shoots-down-nato-member-turkeys-mili...
What do you think they were testing when sending that drone over Syria?
pay American politicians to sacrifice American voters
That sounds so creepy but very likely, it's true.
It just seems that humans with the worst imaginable traits wind up in control. That so blows.
I have lost faith in humanity because of a small percentage of humans and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it.
its true, machiavellian psychopaths throughout the centuries, every time the people were to lazy or stupid to oust them through elections. its a sad reality indeed.
Watch child homo porn on their videos and beat the servants; same thing they do every day.
Exactly, They are now wearing their Brown robes.
The issue is Iran? The Iranians are Persians, not Arabs. The only big worry for the US and Israel was the bomb, or so they thought.
Preemptive? Whenever the word preemptive enters the debate we should ask ourselves how does Israel fit into this? Notice Bibi's been cleaning his desk off lately, exterminating the Palestinian problem and getting ready for the next phase of Jewish Mediterranean hegemony. Everything so far had gone splendidly. Arab Spring, schwing. Dumb camel jockeys playing right into their hands. They thought Isis was a convenient distraction no one took seriously.
Major fuckup there. Turns out those camel jockeys do know how to use computers to exchange information and money and rally support. And those corrupt governments the US used to support? They are gone.
The governments the US used to support are gone? Really? Seems the ones we didn't support are gone -- Libya, Iraq and maybe soon Syria.
Ones we support -- Saudi, Gulf States, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, still there
LOL... the plan all along was to get rid of Assad... This will give them political cover to say that they are arming the, "right" rebels..... Those rebels and IS both want Assad dead... Since we won't get any help in the Air campaign in Syria, we'll just arm the FSA and hope they start shooting their allies instead of shooting Assad.... Sounds about right for a government response.
We get Assad out and level yet another sectarian govt. leaving more chaos.... then we'll have political cover to do whatever we want after.
Uuuuuugh....
But, as in every other country we've done that in or supported it's overthrow... nothing better came of it... only Islamic groups fighting each other in the wake of it. ( Like Egypt, Lybia, Iraq and soon to be Syria )
This ass clown has no right to get involved in Syria! Notice how he will not say ISIS, it's always ISIL. He doesn't want Syria to be mentioned yet he wants to go into Syria? He deserves everything that is coming his way, unfortunatly we the people will be paying for this unfucking believable retard of a president, not even worthy of the title, this sorry sack of shit! Lyiing mother fucker since day one! Go to hell mr. president!
The Pope even came out the other day and said that he thought that this all may end up in WWIII....
Hope he's wrong.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29190890
So... here's how WWIII begins..... We end up in Syria... Syria and Iran have an alliance.....
China, Russia and Iran are about to have one:
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-calls-for-new-security-pact-with-russi...
and.... there you go... WWIII
China will do NOTHING.
That's sort of the whole point though, isn't it?
Syria isn't Iran... and China isn't Russia but, if one is attacked it can drag them all in.
I'm waiting to see what Putin does next.... I'm worried about the domino effect.... kinda how WWI started.
Hell, in WWII... the US was forced to pick between the facist and the communists... We picked... so would China.
According to this China was the one making overtures. Story update Al Jazeera Sept. 12, but just a blurb. Watching ...
What I want to know is where does it say in the Constitution that its any fucking business of the US President who the fuck is in charge of Syria ? I don't recall that part. Does anyone else ?
Ask your Congressmen.
Obama should have been on that first plane of US military he sent into Liberia
Libya is still one of the greatest examples of Crimes Against Humanity that has been witnessed since well, Iraq and the horrors of depleted uranium.
Obombya and his handlers have a special place waiting for them in Hell for what they did to Libya though,
And you know why, don't you? Qaddafi was giving real hope and real change to the Negro Peoples in his region; but then they could stand on t heir own two feet and they wouldn't be good slave dogs for us; and then there's t he Gold Dinar. Jesus, it's so obvious. What we have here is Hitler part 2.
And now it's just reported as a place with warring factions as if we had nothing to do with it.
Quaddafi is the only guy who ever had nukes and voluntarily gave them up. Then a few years later we took him out. I'm sure all the other countries took a good lesson from that one.
The FSA is NOT going to start shooting their allies; they have publcly stated, for publication, several times; that they have no problem with Al Qaeda. They get paid by Saudi Arabia and Us too.
I agree... that's why this is perfect for a govt. response.... once they find out that NOBODY is willing to bomb Syria... they'll back off and only arm the rebels and let IS continue to be an asset in getting rid of Assad.... Once Syria no longer exists under Assad rule, we'll have political cover to go in and do whatever we want.
It's time for the American Military to stand down and refuse to carry out illegal orders. They didn't join up to support a world conquering dictator/ whack-job.
How would you then be in the military anymore?
The computer program is easy enough: "yes."
The only question that exists really is oversight. "After you agreed to the order did you in fact carry it out." We've been talking "the battle of the algo's" here for six straight years now. To my knowledge we're the only media outlet that has even brought up the subject. "That everything is being run a though it were a computer simulation first" then in fact run.
Are you saying our "warbots" should be equipped with a "revolution sensor" to be engaged at "the appropriate time"?
We do apparently have a "dual citizenship censor...er...sensor." Unfortunately I still have to wait for my "other country" to come into existence. I've read "another twenty years" before that can happen.
war crimes on humanity! end the deadly largesse of the fed
Never underestimate the stupidity of an empire in terminal decline...

Watch CNN, here all the imperialists and Israelis come on to be interviewed about the threats to America. CNN is the "Threats To America" channel. Fucking candy ass cunts! Whine and cry about all the forces threatening America. Like who? A threat is good for profits, good for CNN ratings, good for corporate arms makers . War is a racket, and we Americans are the biggest fucking dupes. People believe the CNN horse Shit they peddel 24/7. CNN the Cable Neocon Network, or Cable Nazi Network.
Hey CNN! What happened to Ukraine 24/7?? Oh I know, is it because there is no evidence anyone other than Kiev shot down your Airliner and that the rebels smashed your Kiev Army to bits and killed 10,000 Ukie puppets in ground combat, eyeball to eyeball infantry fighting. CNN does not report on Ukraine any more because the script has gone to shit, it didn't play out like planned, now CNN works to cover up the Kiev American Junta who just slammed a city of a million people with three ballistic missle hits, didn't see that on "Breaking News".
And that Israeli Wolf Blitzer, he was brought on to CNN so that Israel could deliver the fake news to us, all about heoric Israel all the time.
Impeach Obama and them prosecute him before anything else and stop killing people. What the hell's wrong with Goldman Sachs.
Obama is Darth Sidious
Though outwardly appearing to be a well-intentioned public servant and supporter of democracy prior to becoming Emperor,[2] he is in fact Darth Sidious, the current Dark Lord of the Sith—a cult of practitioners of the dark side of the Force previously thought to have been extinct in the galaxy for a millennium.[2] Having murdered and usurped his former master Darth Plagueis (prior to the events of the prequel trilogy), Sidious inherits and brings to fruition a thousand-year plot to reinstate the Sith as the ruling power in the galaxy, culminating in the Great Jedi Purge and the formation of the first Galactic Empire with himself in the position of Emperor.
Yeah, but he did it for the children.
you cant get that done from a golf course. the manchurian president has served his masters purpose, enslaving us to obamacare, so now he coasts like always with a joint in one hand and a dick in the other.
France is the former colonial power that created Syria and Lebanon so you would expect them to bomb happily. UK is the imperial power that created Iraq and Jordan. USA is the imperial power that created Israel. Iran is a real country, one of the few in the region with an imperial history going back thousands of years.
France's ridiculous Banking system and Socialist Economy is hanging by a single slender thread that is in the hands of the FED; and THAT is why they will bomb anyone we tell them to; including Paris, probably.
Very good point. Funny how the MSM propaganda avoids the word Persia. We are going to see the downfall of the great US empire soon.
O'Banger's "broad coalition" consists of a cache of old whores, with Madonna as the Madam. Madeliene Allbright is 'miss congenitality' and 1st runner-up in case Madonna's womb falls out.
In the absence of any real coalition, O'Banger and Joe Briden will march this broad coalition out in front of the MSM cameras and they will eat it up, as usual.
The narrative (I hate that stupid, pseudo-intellectualism!) on all this is going to be that unless Assad and ISIS surrender now, O'Banger is going to see to it that they're going to get these old whores instead of the 72 virgins when they die. (As the Mulatto Messiah, he can get it done)
Anyway - nice to give ISIS days and days advance notice of the bombing so they can prepare. Vietnam all over again...
I think that since Obama is talking about a coalition that isn't going to happen... He can back off to the position of only arming the FSA...
That way IS can still be an asset in getting rid of Assad... at least for a while.
The wildcard is Putin.... I can't imagine he's happy about all of this... Iran and Syria are parners.... China, Russia and Iran are very close friends.... ( about to be parners ) http://www.cbsnews.com/news/china-calls-for-new-security-pact-with-russi...
What will Putin do?
Maybe they should try and cut off thier funding? Snark!
Happy Peace Day Everyone!
Scary but true. It will be done via nuclear clouds or a viral pandemic. The culling will occur.
"Condoleeza" Rice says that --
"This will be a unified coalition," Ms. Rice told reporters. "It will be cohesive. And it will be under one single command authority."
Is that George Bush or Barack Obama that is the single command authority?
This is deja vu all over again.
Why does her name have to be "rice" too ? White rice ? Aunt Jemina's rice ? What ? Are they just fuckin with us ?
.
Confucius say: "Take a rook, and if you rook crosery enough, truth is reveared."
For 2 reasons:
* France need US support for their own operation in Africa.
* François Hollande is a very old friend of US. The French gov. have never been so pro US/Israel.
So anything US want, France want.
Also Syria and Lebanon are old French colonial territories. Nothing is better than bombing your old colonies and trying to reassert your influence. I wonder what the French oil and gas companies get out of the final deal made with the Pentagon and the Dual Citizen White House

TEL AVIV — Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon began a two-day visit to Azerbaijan on Wednesday aiming to bolster burgeoning ties with its strategic and defense trade partner that conveniently borders northeast Iran.
Ya’alon’s visit, the first by an Israeli MoD chief in 22 years of diplomatic relations between the Jewish and Muslim states, comes less than a month after Iran claimed to have shot down an Israeli-made UAV that reportedly took off from Azerbaijan.
It also coincides with ADEX-2014, the first international arms exhibition hosted by Baku, where 16 Israeli firms and MoD export officials will market a full spectrum of air, sea, land and space systems.
Bulgaria, Azerbaijan Sign 2 Agreements on Gas Projects
http://www.novinite.com/articles/163509/Bulgaria,+Azerbaijan+Sign+2+Agre...
Bulgaria and Azerbaijan have signed two gas cooperation agreements, according to a media statement of the Ministry of Economy and Energy.
Under a memorandum between Bulgarian gas transmission operator Bulgartransgaz and the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the two companies will conduct joint exploration activities for the expansion of the Bulgarian underground gas storage near Chiren.
The other document is a Letter of Intent which envisages talks between SOCAR and state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz on gas deliveries to Bulgaria via the Greece-Bulgaria gas grid interconnection as of 2017.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/09/16/uk-ukraine-crisis-gazprom-roman...
(Reuters) - Romania's energy minister said on Tuesday Russiawas playing games with gas supplies to cause concerns in EU states, after analysts warned that Moscow could use the flows to retaliate against sanctions imposed over its role in Ukraine.
Razvan Nicolescu said Russia's state-owned Gazprom had warned of an imminent 10 percent cut in gas to the country on Monday, only to say supplies would keep to their normal levels until at least Thursday a day later.
"I expect such situations to happen again. It is a game attempting to cause concern in some EU states. It has happened in Poland, Slovakia, Austria," Nicolescu told an energy seminar.
Poland sets sights on gas hub to loosen Russia's energy griphttp://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/09/18/poland-gas-hub-idUKL6N0RH1SY201...
(Reuters) - Poland is taking steps towards creating a gas trading and transit hub in Central and Eastern Europe aimed at accomplishing what much of the region has failed to do: shake off almost complete reliance on Russian gas imports.
Poland will open a liquefied natural gas terminal in 2015 and build new pipelines -- including a planned north-south corridor stretching to Croatia -- to help ease the grip of Russia's Gazprom over former Soviet bloc nations.
Central Europe's biggest economy, which also intends to upgrade gas links to Lithuania to allow the re-export of gas to the Baltics, has said it plans to build 2,000 km (1,250 miles) of pipelines criss-crossing the country over the next 10 years.
"The north-south corridor, currently under construction, could be an interesting alternative, particularly for the southern countries, as it will make it easier for them to access non-Russian gas," Tomasz Chmal, an analyst at Poland's Sobieski Institute, said.
"Countries like Slovakia, Hungary or Bulgaria could use it and buy gas at market prices, not the prices they manage to negotiate with Gazprom."
Poland has no gas. And the great Polish fracking miracle is proving to be a bust. Just becoming a hub of gas distribution does not produce one cubic meter of supply. Poland can build a Liquid Gas Terminal, so what, Poland still has to buy gas, it is an international market. Let Poland switch from a direct pipline of Russian gas to liquid delivery from the USA, at what price? This is just another Polish lunatic waste of money. Poles all moved to England for a reason, to get out of their shit hole economy. Poland just can't seem to accept freedom and independence, they ae totally free and still piss whine and cry about bad old Russia picking on them. Poles, just what is it about your pathetic country that you can't seem to handle being free and independent. Trying to suck ass on AMerica, that is what the liquid gas terminal is all about. America told them to do it, costing a fortune, and providing more expensive gas on delivery, but Poland does it in hopes of gratitude from America. Fucking idiots, living in the fucking past, because they can't see a future of independence and freedom. You fuck heads, your free, no one is attacking you, you own all of old Prussia, your borders are very favorable Warsaw Pact borders, yet you still bitch and piss your pants, and cry tears. Just in from Reuters: About time!!
Families of German MH17 victims to sue Ukraine: lawyerBERLIN Sun Sep 21, 2014 4:47am EDT
(Reuters) - Survivors of German victims of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 downed over Ukraine plan to sue the country and its president for manslaughter by negligence in 298 cases, the lawyer representing them said on Sunday.
Professor of aviation law Elmar Giemulla, who is representing three families of German victims, said that under international law Ukraine should have closed its air space if it could not guarantee the safety of flights.
"Each state is responsible for the security of its air space," Giemulla said in a statement emailed to Reuters. "If it is not able to do so temporarily, it must close its air space. As that did not happen, Ukraine is liable for the damage."
Bild am Sonntag Sunday mass newspaper quoted Giemulla as saying that by not closing its airspace, Ukraine had accepted that the lives of hundreds of innocent people would be "annihilated" and this was a violation of human rights.
The jetliner crashed in Ukraine in pro-Russian rebel-held territory on July 17, killing 298 people, two-thirds of them from the Netherlands. Four Germans died in the crash.
Ukraine and Western countries have accused the rebels of shooting the plane down with an advanced, Russian-made missile. Russia has rejected accusations that it supplied the rebels with SA-11 Buk anti-aircraft missile systems.
Giemulla planned to hand his case to the European Court of Human Rights in about two weeks, accusing Ukraine and its President Petro Poroshenko of manslaughter by negligence in 298 cases. He would also push for compensation of up to one million euros ($1.3 million) per victim, Bild am Sonntag reported.
So far, the airline has offered survivors of each victim $5,000 in financial assistance but has said that would not be taken off final compensation or affect families' legal rights to claim.
LOL only 5K dollars. Shows you what the dual citizen scum think goyim lives are worth in Ukraine. And this is for foreigners, these schysters wouldn't pay 5 dollars for an Ukrainian goyim. But the women are worth much more in their brothels. Didnt the Poro Piggy make his money with brothels after all.
Guess he was used to using candy and chocolates to lure little underage girls into his brothels. Figures it runs in the family, after all NULAND used cookies to get the Ukes to give up their lives. Beware of 'Jeeks bearing Gifts'
$5k seems fair as an initial payment. There is the Montreal Convention that sets out the payments but I am not sure that covers shooting down.
It was not Malaysian Airlines fault their plane was caught in the crosshairs of the US vs Russia pseudo war.
Tell you what when your family gets killed I would love to see the look of satisfaction when you get your 5K per member
Great find "BullyBearish"! Thank you for getting that story out. I was waiting for this, all real evidence points to Kiev Fighter Jets downing this plane. And even putting that aside, the direction of this plane over the battle field in which current anti aircarft warfare was ongoing, and then asking the plane to descend a few thousand feet right over Donetsk. The ciminal negligence of that alone is crying put for legal action. Have you all notice how pathetic the initial report was, it actually reduced the evidence on the flight, rather than increased it! Amazing piece of cover up, and now a year will be needed to produce reports on it. There is 100% certainty that the USA and NATO know beyond any human doubt who and how that air liner was downed. IF Russia had done it, do you think America word ORDER all investigation to be sidelined for a year, for a report to be issued that reduced knowledge of what happened. Even the trolls on ZH who come from Kiev or are Ukrainian Canadians, or our Troll from Lithuainia, they have all fell silent for months now about this Malaysian Air Liner??? Why silent, we know why. ALL evidence, the body of this plane, is riddled with 30MM cannon shell holes all over the cockpit area and no where else! A surface to air BUK missile, like Kiev claims Russia used, does not target a cockpit, nor does it carry a 30MM cannon, it simply is not disputed that two Ukrainian fighter jets were escorting this Air Liner. This is fact, even people on the ground saw the Ukie fighters and heard cannon fire and explosions in the air before the Air Liner showed distress. Fuck man, you and the US government and media are all silent because you KNOW, you KNOW you Kiev heroes fucked up a false flag attempt or even worse, gunned down a plane they thought was Russian by it's color scheme.
Pathetic, transparent liar America! My country, and you fucker war mongers are destroying it.
I share your angst.
Reading that story's comments, it's apparent Rueter's more avid readers are indoctrinated to believe Russia was the culprit behind the MH17 downing. They're actually adamant in their belief and rush to judgment. Ditto most of the big corporate houses spewing n'ooze.
It's gonna take a great big dose of reality to bring these folks around - here's to hoping it hurts.
Jack Burton noted:
You're absolutely correct. There is also 100% certainty that the USA and NATO know that the Russians also know beyond any human doubt what happened to MH17.
Hell, the Russians even made this presentation just to "send a message" (as 'americans' are so fond of saying) to the US/EU/NATO syndicate that Russia also knows exactly what happened. See also here:

Considering that even the flimsiest of fake accusations are enough to send Secretariat of State Kerry into a frenzied gallop and leave Anders Phagg Rasmussen with an orgasmic wet spot on the front of his khakis, they'd be indescribably apoplectic if they could show that Russia was really behind the MH17 incident.
The reason for the delay tactics is that they can't bend the truth very far or else the Russians will call them out on it.
On a lighter note:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (the ones that own the patent), increasing their warnings on Ebola, is advising airlines and jet staff to treat all body fluids as infectious, even on domestic flights.
“Treat all body fluids as though they are infectious,” said thelatest CDC update to airlines.

This has been the whole reason for the ISIS war, to get at Syria. Remember, the planes were fueled and armed and missiles on standby when Obama went on TV and lied about Syria chemical attacks in a bid to go to war against Syria. It took a long time, but Obama, acting on Neoconservative orders, is now ready to do Syria again, only with a different pretext this time. I check the official lie machine at CNN, and see that the Washington DC crowd is trying to pin ISIS on Syria, saying it has it's home base in Syria and Assad is fine with this. When in fact, Assads Army has fought these American funded Islamic Cunts for three years. Only the name has changed to the newly branded ISIS.
Obama is a liar, and a total tool of Neoconservative Washington DC and the Arms manufactureres. The congress is full of people on bribes who are cunts, liars and whores, who seel out the American people at every turn. Congress is also an official state arm of Israel, acting on Israeli orders or the AIPAC orders from WashingtonDC. The media? Liars and paid whores, all are corporate owned, owned by corporations with large arms manufacturing companies within the corporate umbrella.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are total failures, but highly profitable for wall-street investors and corporate CEO's of the huge military industrial complex. You veterans of these wars, I know it is hard to ever have to face or admit, but look at what they did to you. The lies, now they fucked you up, and want to ditch you. See how they wave the flag when you hit the VA for help, the flags are all put away then!
Of course its still all about regime change in Syria.Without that no Qatari
pipeline, and therefore the imiment death of the petrodollar.
Syria is the most strategic asset in the world right now.
Time for Putin to put up, or shut up. Either he's his own man, or a bit actor
in a NWO kabuki play.
Syria is about to tell us which.
Now that it looks like Ukraine is going into semi hibernation on the fighting front for the winter, perhaps Putin's attention will move south to his two allies, Syria and Iran. Perhaps the currently delayed delivery of S-300 SAM will take place if the US strikes without permeission against all International Law.
Russia is already warning the US not to usurp Syria's sovereignty
Updated 8:02 p.m. Moscow Time
MOSCOW, September 21 (RIA Novosti) - In a phone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed the importance of coordinated steps of the international community for the fight against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, Russian Foreign Ministry said Sunday in a press release.
"In the course of an exchange of views on the ways of counteracting the Islamic State terrorist group, S. Lavrov stressed the importance of coordinated, without double standards, actions of the international community for standoff to this threat," the press release reads.
Russian Foreign Minister also urged Kerry to refrain from misrepresenting facts "in the context of Syria."
According to the statement, Foreign Minister Lavrov also stressed the need for Washington to stick to the UN Charter, and the international law, as well as to respect Syria's sovereignty in the implementation of the US-led coalition's plans to fight the IS in the Middle East.
Perhaps the US was planning on setting up a false flag event
MOSCOW, September 21 (RIA Novosti) - In response to US Secretary of State John Kerry's accusations of using chlorine chemicals, the government of Syria has stated that the country has handed down all the chemical weaponry it possessed and that it complies with international conventions on arms control, AFP reported Sunday referencing Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Syria has fulfilled its obligations by adhering to the Chemical Weapons Convention," Syria's Foreign Ministry was quoted by AFP as saying Sunday. "It cooperated fully with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and no longer possesses these weapons."
Syria's Foreign Ministry released the statement following accusations by Kerry of using chlorine chemicals.
"We believe there is evidence of Assad's use of chlorine, which when you use it - despite it not being on the list - it is prohibited under the Chemical Weapons Convention," Kerry was quoted by AFP as telling the US House of Representatives.
In September, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) said that chlorine gas had been used "systematically and repeatedly" earlier this year in northern Syria. The OPCW, however, had no information on who was using the toxic chemical. Syrian authorities have blamed Jabhat al-Nusra, a radical group linked to al-Qaeda, for carrying out chemical weapons attacks.
Unfortunately for the US it appears someone else may actually have been using chlorine gas weapons in the area
Updated 3:10 p.m. Moscow Time
MOSCOW, September 20 (RIA Novosti) - Iraqi forces have destroyed a warehouse with seven missiles containing chlorine gas in the central Iraqi province of Diyala in addition to killing 18 Islamic State (IS) militants, reported Shafaq News on Saturday, citing provincial police chief General Jamil Shammari.
"Our security forces from the army, the police and the National crowd managed to kill 18 terrorists from ISIS and destroyed a warehouse that contained 7 missiles with chlorine gas and other explosive materials during the ongoing security operation north of Muqdadiyah area," Shammari was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
According to Shammari, the IS had planned to use the missiles against security forces and civilians in surrounding areas, the newspaper reported. The ongoing security operation which located and eliminated the warehouse is part of a process clearing the areas north of Muqdadiya and al-Sudour dam. Operations around the dam in Diyala include participation from the military, police, and locals.
I don't buy it.
Snooze button will be hit for six months until dead of winter freezes Turkey into absolute insanity.
Key is Kurds. Long Kurdistan.
Obama sends in the middle school team aginst the JV team.
Hypocrisy is not a form of government. But apperently,,,
If they are very careful not to step out of their tanks, would US troops technically not have boots on the ground. Similarly if US troops were wearing Air Jordans they wouldn't technically have boots on the ground.
But of course the government would never consider hiding behind definitions to make criminal behavior all cozy and legal.
Send them out bare footed, no boots in sight.
"President Obama's grand strategy to combat IS via a 'broad coalition' of allies is flailing."
Shouldn't that have been a "Woman's coalition", or to be more PC, a "Coalition of Unspecified Gender"?
When they say A broad coalition. Does that mean Hillery said it was a good idea?
Who said
" The war on terrorism is over, and al-Qaeda is decimated " 2012
"Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other, is guaranteed as a candidate for Israel's targets. Its dissolution is even more important for us than that of Syria. Iraq is stronger than Syria. In the short run it is Iraqi power which constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. An Iraqi-Iranian war will tear Iraq apart and cause its downfall at home even before it is able to organize a struggle on a wide front against us. Every kind of inter-Arab confrontation will assist us in the short run and will shorten the way to the more important aim of breaking up Iraq into denominations as in Syria and in Lebanon. In Iraq, a division into provinces along ethnic/religious lines as in Syria during Ottoman times is possible. So, three (or more) states will exist around the three major cities: Basra, Baghdad and Mosul, and Shi'ite areas in the south will separate from the Sunni and Kurdish north. It is possible that the present Iranian-Iraqi confrontation will deepen this polarization."

Isn't it a tad strange that after the success they've had in gaza; Israel doesn't join in the so called Coalition? I suppose you could say they did through all the members who are?
Too bad you couldn't have gotten a quote from Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly about this Monster the Frankenstein Clinic in Washington has created.
When I say ISIS is working for Washington, I don't mean that every last private in the Caliphate Army knows they are fighting for ExxonMobile and Goldman Sachs. No, only a handful of leaders and a few in command who are taking the CIA's fiat are so aware. The rank and file ISIS are like the 19 Saudis aboard the planes on September 11, 2001: They think they are doing one thing and they are being used to do something completely different.
They are defining TERROR to the world. And terrorizing the whole population into giving up their freedoms for the security that governments can offer from MAKE BELIEVE terror that the West created to solely deprive all citizens of their constitutional rights.
They will use their ISIS monster to turn the tide of the unsuccessful revolution they promoted and waged in Syria since 2011.
Finally, when ISIS has outlived its usefulness the CIA-paid commanders will betray their plans, location and movements to the CIA and the so-called coalition and the monster they created will be destroyed by Barack Obama. Like St George and the dragon.
And he will be given a 'Triumph' by the Masters at the Augusta National Golf Club. His public approval will soaras his handicap plummets.
And Obama will live to tell his grandchildren that war excels peace as day excels night.
French officials have said they are worried striking Islamic State in Syria could bolster the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Tells you all you need to know.

The slow-motion effects remind one of the opening scene in "Saving Private Ryan", with the .50 cal bullets zipping through the waters off Utah Beach.
Thanks for the link. Watched many IS videos but this is the first one with the "emcee" speaking in English. I still don't understand why anybody digs his own grave, especially for these guys. You know you're gonna die so why cooperate?
"You know you're gonna die so why cooperate? "
Do you want the bullet in the head on your shoulders or in the other one? Either way, we bury you when we are done.
Do you think the mask guy doing all of the talking is CIA or Mossad. His American english is impecable.
I've got a plan:
How about a televised Marine Corps firing squad for the Obummer?
That could work.
You can be sure that anything that dribbles out of Samantha Powers mouth is pure propaganda. I'm for as many boots on the groud as Saudi puts in to the deal. Front line that is. Other than that, wall the whole area off and check on 'em again in 10 years or so. As one American general said, they just need to bleed out for a few years, no reason to send American men in.
Damn, woke up too late to make it to the People's Climate Change march....
Ah yes this should go well!...
Kinda like this Indian representing Amnesty International that has lots of accurate and verifiable information in Russian atrocities committed in Syria and Ukraine but can't provide the details... But trust him anyway even though his organization is an arm of USAID which pays him "to tell the truth"!
Can't trust those fucking Indians, especially after the deal they made with Washington and Tel Aviv to deliberately dispose of the steel from Ground Zero for more H1B1(s) and to serve there corporate interests in their Country!
Tony Abbott would be pissed if he read this article - Australia sending 15 fighter jets and 600 SAS troops doesnt count ? The war mongering nightly on ABC and SBS TV is unbelievable - we're going to war - yippee !!
I say this is still all about getting at Syria and Assad. Same goal as before, just using a different excuse and strategy. That’s certainly how our so-called Arab allies see it and want it, and they’ve got more at stake here than anyone.
No wonder the French got in early with a meager mission in Iraq. Now they can claim they have done their duty and don’t have to participate in the real game.

First of all they are not called allies because they are partners, limited partners.
America is the managing partner and charges a steep mismanagement fees.
hmmm...now let's see if i have this straight...following years of monetary and military experiments... we have found this out about results in the middle east:
