China Says It Will Never Support Sanctions Against Russia

Tyler Durden's picture

We already know that Obama's definition of "costs" leaves something to be desired. Apparent so does his definition of "isolation", used for example, here:

"Russia is already more isolated than at any time since the Cold War" - President Obama, August 2014

Well, maybe not. From Itar-Tass

China will never support or join recently imposed sanctions against Russia, Valentina Matviyenko, the speaker of the Russian parliament’s upper chamber, said on Tuesday following her talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The speaker of the Federation Council quoted the Chinese president as saying, that China will never support sanctions against Russia, no matter how much pressure is exerted on them.

According to Matviyenko, China publicly stated its opinion on the inadmissibility of unilateral sanctions, their illegitimacy and counter-productivity.

“This is where our positions absolutely coincide,” she said adding that both Russia and China consider such sanctions as “ineffective and view them as attempts to exert pressure on sovereign states in order to weaken them and change their positions, to restrain their development.”

“This is China’s public position and we are grateful to China for such evaluations,” Matviyenko, who is currently on an official visit to China, said.

Because with such unprecedented "isolation", who needs the world's biggest alliance of natural resources, human capital, fixed investment and a population of over 1.5 billion?

Oh, and for the record Mr. President, feel free to read up on the Sino-Soviet split, where China couldn't stand the USSR and vice versa... during the Cold War.

"Israel" has been a liability for the US for decades.  The particular religion or ethnic make up of its people are entirely beside the point relative to its behaviour.

Kissinger is right.  Israel is on its way out.  It is too much of a liability to too many now.

THIS >>>>> "I hope one day the Dragon and Moscow team up to crush America"

is exactly what TPTB wants. Anarchy. Post Anarchy, 10 superstates. Thereafter, New World Order.

The real dichotomy is NOT East vs West BUT Plebians VS Elites aka Imperialists aka Socialists.

The solution to the problem of the New World Order is not anarchy but a revolution in the name of Nationalism, whatever colour we may be.

Be proud from whichever Nation you come.

The Imperialists must be crushed.

There goes my hope that Russia and the US would form closer ties, as idealistically, we are closer to them than to the Chinese, the Middle Eastern peoples, etc.  And as things get tough in the world, it's better to have strong allies that can coordinate for their mutual benefit.

Now it seems like these sanctions are making Russia and China closer bedfellows cooperating with each other more.

Cooperation with the United States is impossible.
Any form of cooperation United States with Russia, for USA is to just another form of war against Russia.

United States does not need any partners. The United States needs only vassals. Because the United States is "an exceptional country" with "exceptional people" and "an exceptional president."
But the Russian does not want and will not be vassals of the United States. If Russian will be a choice between the status of vassals of the United States and a nuclear war, they would see only one way - a nuclear war.
I wish that the exceptional people who live in the exclusive country, do not want to teach history. For fire and radiation no difference who they kill - the ordinary person or a very exceptional man.
Amen!

Next step - "declare War on China" (maybe for "supporting" Russia). Under "US Law" declaration of war against a foreign State immediately nullifies all debt obligations to that State, so from the Admin.'s viewpoint, a nice, "legal" way to default on that $1.3 T "owing".

HOWEVER, China (and Russia) may have a different interpretation of such an action, and they may decide to "collect" in their own happy way, since thay will be taking zero notice of "US Law" - as far as they are concerned, the US "owes" them, and they WILL get back what they view as rightfully "theirs".

Whatever, things seem to be getting more "interesting" day by day!

In a strange way, I think it makes perfect sense that the Russian side spoke the words of their Chinese counterparts for them. The Chinese are notorious for their subdued and self effacing speech. It is an ingrained cultural trait that takes some getting used to and can be slightly annoying. On the rare occasion they may be direct, but most of the time they are not, and it requires a very refined and developed sensibility to read between the lines and decipher the meaning of their statements.

Consider this gem of "Chinese-speak" publicly and personally spoken from Xi to the Impaler-

"I am willing to maintain close communication with you and help the two sides enhance mutual support, expand two-way openness and offer each other a helping hand, so as to jointly deal with external risks and challenges and realize our respective development and revitalization" (Xinhua)

It is really a problem in the so-called "West" that drama-queen governments such as the US's hyperventilate and spew the most ridiculous hyperbole, lies, and nonsense. To their credit, Xi Jimping and Vladimir Putin do not play that game; they do not abase themselves mouthing worthless, credibility-robbing words (like Obama just did, again, at the UN)

I think we can all agree that actions speak louder than any words.

So what have been the Bear and Dragon's actions?

Well, Russia and China have overtly and deliberately strengthened their ties in the face of sanctions by the US and its poodle (EU). China and Russia have continued to work on, and announce major cooperation projects and agreements frequently. Only a blind lemming would fail to see that these agreements are not symbolic, but strategic. They cover a broad range in areas such as oil and gas, security, economic integration, nuclear energy, aviation, finance, infrastructure construction, and international and regional affairs, not to mention the further development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the BRICS.

Another very important fact that has been terribly under-reported by our Ministry of Truth (msm) is that the Elephant (India) has also- publicly and repeatedly- flat-out rejected demonizing Russia and playing any part in this sanctions nonsense. Modi essentially told Kerry to his face that he could blow it out of his ass when old horse-face visited India.

Not only that, shortly before "Lurch" Kerry's Imperial visit, Modi publicly and personally told the Impaler-

“If you ask anyone among the more than one billion people living in India who is our country’s greatest friend, every person, every child knows that it is Russia. Everyone knows that Russia has always stood side by side with India during the toughest moments and without demanding anything in return”

I think the reason Russia and China are doing so little about Syria's bombing is due to Russia and China being basically evil Illuminati super-powers that have much more in common with NATO than with Syria/Hezbollah/Iran.

So strategically, it is better for them to help NATO weaken any 'upstarts' who dare to upset the '5+1' world order of Germany, US, Russia, China, England and France.

At the same time, since Russia and China are now in conflict with the rest of the 5+1, they do also benefit from having Syria and the rest exist as antagonists to the West, so Russia probably basically just wants 'only' partial destruction in Syria, whereas NATO wants 'regime change'.

The last time Obama tried to bomb Syria, what stopped him was NOT Russia (which had accepted the strikes), but Iran and Hezbollah being willing to immediately attack Israel and neighboring US bases and ships in retaliation.  It's too bad they let it pass this time, since it seems like the US is taking advantage of the situation do destroy what remains of Syria's infrastructure, instead of really targeting ISIS - the satanic fuckers claim they need to do it to stop ISIS from generating income from oil!

I bet the US knows it's about to lose all that terrain, so instead of moving on it is bombing its own false-flag troops to target the infrastructure, while 'good guy Putin' smiles and forever keeps the long-promised S300 missile defense tech out of Syria.

Probably because Russia and China are standing on the side lines watching Obama (and the so called coalition) try to destroy the monster they created.

For the time being there will be no US attacks on the Syrian Army, but given Obama's fascination with false flags, don't bet on it.

The pants have been scared off of the peoples of Europe, and if Russia and China now moved in to stop the destruction of ISIS, they might get some bad press in London, Brussels, and Paris.

I will sidestep your question (which others have already responded to), and not that the canned speech from the Chinese speaker at the UN forum, that China sounds 100% Big Brotherish.  No holds barred.

This fuels my suspicion/hypothesis that China is happy to go along with a World Gov, IF and ONLY IF they get their fair share of the World.gov pie, or the SDR pie.  All its actions leave enough wiggle room for them to step in one direction with one player, and into a different direction with another player.  In the end... "China looks after its OWN interests".  As it always has and always will.  There is thousands of years of tradition and intertia that makes it so.

China's apparent "support" of Russia is purely self-serving:  Were it to abandon Russia (its military arm against the US), they know that they would be next in the great Encirclement, Constriction and Assimilation game.

The current western governments and corporations have monopolized every facet of life in society including the MSM.

So they lie without any real consequence from country to country throughout the vast ties in geo political interest.

They can fudge the markets and statistics on median wage/employment and growth however basic economics will never lie.

Most of the west right now is looking at wiping out around 30%+ or 1/3 of the middleclass, and pushing almost 50% of small to medium business out of the economy.

The old saying goes the rich get richer, problem is they have taken so much out of the "SYSTEM" it is now in a death spiral that is unrecoverable.

The only answer is to load everyone up on debt, now the problem is the amount of debt that exists today not only covers the current generations but future generations so a child is being born with immediate debt.

With the soaring costs of living and home ownership, breaking point is assured, I now have zero hope for the future of this world..

All these sanctions are doing is forcing the russians to become more self dependent and sustainable and better placed for the future.

The only chance average citizen has is to stop spending money, pay off all debt and start saving, if that happens the vampires who force us all in one way or another into becoming wage slaves will just starve and begin to feed on each other to survive.

The Chinese will turn on Russia quicker than a rabid junkyard dog when it serves their interests. Given the US role as a world bully I find it hard to Support my country these days. I believe we are heading towards an externally enforced isolationist policy. Not such a bad thing in the long term, gives us a chance to heal if we are willing or we will continue to devolve into just another 3rd world country. Short term, we're gonna have to go back to building our own iCrap.

My personal timeline is down to appx 20 yrs and I am pretty well set. Let the world burn. My family will do fine. I hate it for my kids but they'll have a stack of shiny metal to carry them for a few years.

That may well happen at some time. At the moment and for the foreseeable future they have a common threat (USG maniacs) to deal with. That will keep them close until the threat is removed.

The Russia They Lost

"We loved America. I remember, we did. When we were teens, growing up in the early 90s; most of my friends the same age did not even question their attitude toward Western civilization. It was great, how could it be otherwise?

Unlike our grandfathers and even fathers, we did not think of the USSR falling apart – the “greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the XX century” – as a disaster. For us it was the beginning of a long journey. Finally, we would break out beyond the Soviet shell into the big world – limitless and cool. Finally, we would quench our sensory deprivation. We are born, maybe not in the right place, but certainly at the right time – or so we thought. It’s hard to believe now, but even the Orthodox Church coming out from under communist supervision was for us the same thing as the triumph of Western liberal values. The celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia and the first concert of the Scorpions in Moscow with their “Winds of Change” — was, for us, all part of the same thing.

The war in Iraq and even the breakup of Yugoslavia mostly escaped our attention, somehow. And it was not just that we were young and carefree. I, for one, was already trained in the “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, in the International Department. I was monitoring the English Reuters feed that was full of Izetbegovic, Karadzic and Mladic, but somehow did not take all these events seriously. It was somewhere far away, and not in our area. And, of course, the war in the Balkans did not fit within any kind of anti-Western storyline for me. Croats killed Serbs, Bosnians killed Serbs, the Serbs killed both of those – why blame America?" Continue reading ?

The US leadership is full of shit. If they had any balls they would put sanctions on China for supporting Russia.

At this rate the USA will end up being a pariah state like North Korea.......armed with nuclear weapons, broke, morally bankrupt and a with a poverty stricken population.

Obama has already fucked up our relations with the world except for France... France? Are you kidding me? The Nobel peace prize winner in 2009, 2 months after taking office has stirred up more shit worldwide then the past four Presidents combined. Excuse me while I take a sip of my Latte before I salute you? This Keynesian has pretty much destroyed the future of America. By the time he leaves office our National Debt will be over 20 TRILLION dollars. Lets not forget the speech he gave in 08 when running for president..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyLmru6no4U

The Federal Reserve which had a balance sheet at the time in 2008 OF 838 BILLION is now over 4 TRILLION?

WTF is America really that stupid that they can't even add up a few numbers to see the ponzi scheme to keep the Banks and the Squid alive has costed our children over 15 TRILLION DOLLARS?

Now more then ever we are hated worldwide... Obama said he would reunite the world and bring it all together.. He has completely done the opposite and made the US to look like a weak fool. Never has this Country been more hated and looked down upon then we are today.. More Countries are moving away from the dollar then ever before and at the current rate the dollar will be dead by this time next year backed by nothing.

He also campaigned on the promise of bringing our two houses of Congress and the Senate together and in no time in history are they worst enemies...

This current administration is a train wreck waiting to happen at any given day. You wonder why only 22% of Americans believe the future is better for our kids then it was for us?

And since 2009 the Constitution has been torched! Almost every decision this administration has been done  by executive order and not through the congress.

I cant believe the position we have been put in? This our future and if things continue down the same path there will not be one for the 99% of Americans in America..

What the Fuck happened to Main Street? It no longer exists unless you have a start up Brewery backed by a hedge fund getting money at .00027% .0005% more then the banks get it from the FED window..

Just a reminder of what Made America the great Country that it was... MAIN ST. which no longer exists

America is dead.. Our children are controlled by social media. The Corporations have taken control since we bailed them out.. It's called Fascism or how about Totalitarianism BITCHEZ?

The question is how much over 4 TRILLION?

Considering that no one except elite members of the Inner Party has seen M3 since 2005 when the Fed ceased to publish it, I am scrupulous about where I get my Fed Facts from.

If you have seen the Fed's balance sheet, I certainly defer to your more accurate knowledge..

Too many people it appears a struggle is occurring to unseat America as the worlds most dominate nation. For many proud Americans who see the world from the unenlightened and possibly undefendable position of the United States having a right to be in control it is both threatening and frustrating to see control slip away.

It is threatening to think the country might quickly fall to the position of a second rate power mired in debt with many of the options we have come to see as our right suddenly ripped away. It is frustrating that in many ways the country has become its own worse enemy guilty of political inaction and squandering its power through a series of bad choices and missteps. More on this shift in power and our best response in the article below.

for the record Mr. President, feel free to read up on the Sino-Soviet split, where China couldn't stand the USSR and vice versa... during the Cold War.

The Sino-Soviet split.  How I wish I could believe it really happened and wasn't just a defense stratagem conceived by the two most powerful communist nations, whose combined strength wasn't even half of America's.

Why do I think the Sino-Soviet conflict was phony?  Because everything except the newspaper articles and opinion writers says it was, and articles and op-ed pieces are often false and can be propaganda.

They worked side by side during the Korean War.  During which General MacArthur threatened to use nuclear weapons on China.  He also invaded China when he crossed the Yalu.

And what was happening in Washington?  McCarthyism, that's what.  Seeing the communist witch hunt in America didn't make China and Russia feel confident about the future.

Russia and China feigned their dispute to preempt the crazy Generals and CIA agents from forcing a strike on China.  Repayment for fighting America to a draw in Korea?

Then Kennedy came to office, and military advisors were sent to Saigon.  In 1963 Diem was assassinated and Kennedy a month later.

I have already said that the Russian buildup on the Amur mirrored the US buildup in South VietNam. Both started about the same time and ended at the same time.

This conflict scheme which painted the Chinese to be the more amenable of the two, and which was bought by Nixon hook, line and sinker was the boost that put China in the dominant position it finds itself today.

Of course I may be wrong.  If you have some credible evidence to back up your opinion, I gladly say so,
