Lavrov Assures Iraqi Prime Minister of Russia’s Readiness to Support Struggle Against IS

MOSCOW, September 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed at a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi that Russia is ready to support the country's authorities in their struggle against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"It was emphasized that Moscow is ready to continue supporting the Iraqi leadership in its efforts to repulse the terrorist threat and above all the Islamic State," the statement reads.

The meeting between Lavrov and Abadi was held Thursday on the sidelines of the 69th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to the statement, Russia's foreign minister also reinstated Russia's continued support for the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Iraq.

in my years participating on this site, i've only once advocated that the Tylers report on a specific subject...and they didn't. but i experienced something today so jarring in its effect that i can't but once more strongly advance a position. allow me to preface this with a point or two, as the main jist is rather important.

some of you who virtually know me (or know me virtually) think i'm a rotten anti-semite; hell, some of you probably think i'm a covert zionist; in my view, i'm neither. and in stating the following, i don't mean to be an apologist for janus, nor do i ever get in the business of explaining myself, but i want to flesh-out a few things to lend my argument a bit of context and possibly enhance its efficacy.

before i moved to boston, the spurious things i'd read and other things i've been told by trusted sources about zionist conspiring were, to my mind, the phantoms of paranoia or the bigoted fruits of sublimated envy; but my experience and an abundance of evidence leads me to an unavoidable conclusion: there is no doubt some sort of high-level organized jewery operating internationally. however nefarious and/or benign it may or may not be is not really the point of my mentioning this. i will explain in just a moment.

it came to my attention that cnn/money slapped together an article today about our beloved Hedge, but there was an angle to it that i find detestable and decidedly sinister. it was raw and rank anti-semitism couched in the folds of some rather explicit euphemisms. was i the only one that noticed that bull shit about Tyler? what the fuck was that 'scheming eastern european' shit about? cnn, janus is callin you the fuck out. and i implore Tyler to do the same. yes, i single out 'israel' on their deplorable conduct relative to their neighbors (and maybe i go too far with the taunts); but to effectively call someone a 'scheming jew' because he decides to stand tall with unflappable courage and report with integrity, support free speech and let the Truth speak for itself...no, you vacuous cunts in atlanta, that makes him a fuckin hero.

you flabby faggots in atlanta don't even know what reporting is...that's why you've been scooped by this site on EVERY major financial news story since its inception...that's why nobody reads your stories except the people who're paying you to place them...that's why you're like the last of the do-do birds, and Tyler is aggressively clubbing the few remaining members of your species to death -- and sometimes it isn't for food, often it's just for the fun of it. we like to festoon the interwebs with your entrails. you've packed a lot into that paragraph, but as i reply to it i wanted to bring up something i saw today and tie it into another thing of which your post reminded. earlier this evening, while breezing through a numberless mass of channels, my wife's surfing paused and there momentarily flashed a brief tidbit from The Big lebowski (something every cult in our heretical schism accepts as central to Hedger aesthetics and elemental to its doxology)...the part where the dude is checking his messages, right after his landlord obsequiously pleads for the rent and his world is about to change....but mrs. janus detests movies with too many goddamits...and so i said, 'goddamit, my lady, what madness has overtaken you.' but she wouldn't yield. and then there's you mentioning dailykos and that squeamish little sycophant overseeing the sickening burlesque of withered whores peddling their odious wares for the status quo in a dark and dingy corner of the forgotten web.

well, way back when, when what's his face and that pack of poseurs were pretending to matter, i was practicing a more refined (but less entertaining, hopelessly naive and team-oriented) form of my seditious craft over at the new republic's web site. (i can only imagine what many of you are possibly assuming with that confession). it being the site that it was, i kept my comments clean and tidy...but to the discerning and wise, it was probably clear what i was up to (or was it?). nevertheless, it's fair to say that i made something of an impression. by the by, i came to understand that that lisping milquetoast was interested in the new repulbic's comments section...i say all this because it is my firm conviction that he lifted my idea to have some sort of conference for the avid participants in the new republic's boards, and advertised it as his own...throwing just such a conference for his panty-waist histrionics factory. i remember there being a thing on sixty minutes about it.

i bring all this up not because i'm upset with that ass-muncher for the lack of attribution, nor do i blame what's-his-face for taking my idea (actually, i put things out there with that hope and expectation...i'm one of the weirdos who likes to be stolen from...i have this superstition that if i ever hold things back for the purpose of gain, my gift will shrivel and die), i mention it because he's the type of person i've always enjoyed picking on...i fondly recall the days of kicking him around the interwebs way back then, back when we were on the same 'team'; but there's an associated reason also, and it's the more important of the two.

and our superaltiveness is largely due to the reasons you've identified in your post, GD...obviously, the quality of the minds sharing their insights and ideas is necessary to develop something like this, but it's more than that...there's an ethos and unspoken code of ethics; there's a strict adherence to our vulgar morality; there's only intolerance of the disingenuous and moronically insipid; there's a sense of purpose; there's a discipline of thought; there's an esteem for individuality...this community is what tptb and the do-gooders endorse in theory, while in practice do all they can to suffocate.

Yeah well, I never bought into the whole blood for oil pipeline thingy, in Iraq or Afghanistan or anywhere else as the prime motivator, as far as I know no earth shattering one was ever built. Thats a lot of blood & treasure lost with no "ROI".

As far as I'm concerned long pipelines are inherently unsecure (from a enviromental & security standpoint) one nut with a car bomb is all it takes.

I could build a case that Greek shipping magnates are the ones who are really behind everything bad that happens in the ME in order to keep their cartel viable.
