America Really Needs One Of These
Perhaps, in the interests of keeping its population satisfied that government is busy and working hard for the nation's good, India has unveiled a real-time dashboard to monitor how many government workers are in attendance at any moment...

One question - if India can do this, why would America?
In the government, attendance has no correlation to useful work.
Hopefully those numbers will dive to zero. Go Ebola!
India can do it because of all the outsourcing from the US has gone there. Any analytics done on a large scale are sent there, especially in the medical field.
Who needs H1B-visa workers here, when there's the interwebs?
They're really good at making things look nice. but so far, everything that has come across my desk from India (software/code) has been one steaming pile of shit.. a nice looking, steaming pile of shit, but "shit" none-the-less.
I don't need a dashboard. I know mrs. horseman is being productive, because when I came home she showed me this from our garden...
Oh Henry!
The guys at the SEC who monitor this site say "thank you, and good night."
Dashboard is useless unless it shows how many are watching porn at any given time.
Ah, a real-time government productivity monitor. Wonderful. If it says that many people are working diligently at their desks on your computer screen, it simply must be true and accurate data.
Sort of like the super-accurate count of the number of people who have signed up for Obamacare and paid their policy premium.
MEANINGLESS. HORSE. SHIT. Excuse me, I mispoke. What I meant to say was...
INACCURATE. MEANINGLESS. HORSE. SHIT.
There is only one way that this data could be reliable.
The employees have given up biometric information to identify themselves. That, or implanted chips.
Your comparison lacks any reference in reality. I don't think you have accepted the implications yet.
Obolacare fudging is like Diebold voting machine fudging or public opinion poll fudging. The 'verified' counts can't be made due to a lack of biometric identifiers.
It is pretty easy to guess what those SEC perverts would do with a tuber that size. Here is what I did with it...
Grass-fed home-grown steak au poivre, apologies to the Indian readers, with sweet potatoes and mustard greens from the garden.
Nice money shot.
I just came
Wow! I'm hungry now...
She holds that like she knows what she is doing!
lol
Why do you think all the healthcare programs are all fucked up? No two programs talk to each other, insurance info is dropped, can't update across systems, but, hey! Paperless is the way to go!
"Paperless is the way to go!"
I totally agree! We should start with your medical records to be the first submitted to Skynet...I mean, "the Cloud"....
We just need to know the "category" to file you under..."Bear"? "Tranny"? "Lady Boy"?
Actually it is inversely proportional!
The less work they do the better off we are.
I always try to vote a split ticket and hope for gridlock.
Hmm, is there a measurement for wanking at yer desk? We gotta track the SEC somehow!
Surely with a few moar H1B's it can become someones reality, if not real reality.
Its kinda like the new corporate smart phone I got (Galaxy S5) it clearly showed me at my desk all day ;-)
Listen Rabbi.
Yea, yea. You Americans are far superior.
"WHATEVER"!
Listen Zero Din.
I could tell you shit that would curl your hair about how fucked up these off shore "folks" are. They can't think spatially or follow on levels, its always linear with them, even after I explain it to them.
Nice enough people but they have no idea what they're doing in "my space", the ones I've come across anyways.
Listen.
I'm just going to take a deep breath and go on.
Maybe you better.
They had exactly two weeks of "training" by people who knew they were about to be laid off, in an industry they know zero about, in a language & jargon they can barely understand let alone use.
And I don't train people to do other peoples jobs for them, no matter how pleasant they are, I'm a professional who is damned good at what I do and could do theirs (which the industry depends on) in my sleep along with my own job (we did it before) so they are completely...expendable.
I wouldn't want to be an investor in that out-sourcing company.
Sink or swim, Zero Din ;-)
Got that Chicken Biryani son! All day!
Are these 'dashboards' as accurate as the CPI indicators?
*Oh yeah, give me upvotes for that one*
Holy shit - does this mean I actually have to show up to work????
Nope. Just put one of these on your desk and nobody will notice the difference.

Philo, you da man!
"Look, he's logged on! Working straight through lunch" ;-)
(Don't forget the tape over the monitor cam)
(Don't forget the tape over the monitor cam)
I have upgraded to aluminum foil.
I can't wait until all financial transactions are biometric! Think of all the expanded freedom you'll get when you iris scan into work, and then pay for your spam on the way home with iris scans!
Can I go all Randian on you and suggest you work for yourself and then you won't have to worry about it? Couldn't help myself.
Self Employed doesn't excise the parasites as long as the SS numbers are attached to to corporate deduction forms.
Leviathan is a hungry and has many Bureauremora clinging to it.
I think your anger is misplaced. SS is underfunded by design, but the idea is that we all pay in and collect in our old age like insurance. I think your real beef is with people who are paid directly by our tax dollars and who suck from the trough and do jobs that we don't need done, like Ratheon and Xe.
;-)
I was an independent contractor for twenty years (not with them, many others) before they offered me a position, I didn't apply for it, they offered me. In fact, I went in making almost as much as my then supervisor (after negotiation) because he's such a corporate douche I suppose.
Mine was always show me the money, I don't care about titles. Titles seem to mean something to others, never have to me.
As far as the surveillance, they really don't have a clue what they hope to accomplish with it, it doesn't bother me, I've always came & gone as I pleased and every once in a while my independent streak resurfaces and I leave the tracking device in a safe place.
I really can't help myself sometimes either...lol.
Listen.
Some will look the other way about your comment, others will frown and be disappointed.
lol...as if I care what you or anyone else thinks of my comment.
Perhaps you could enlighten me on what a H1B (what is the word I'm looking for) scab, interloper, drone, servile, docile, corporate cannon fodder?...thinks of my comment.
Listen Rabbi, listen.
I'm just going to take a deep breath and look beyond your dibble as I am "CERTAIN" that you are drunk on alcohol and American "IMPERIALISTIC" thoughts!
Like I said up above Zero Din, different worlds, different minds and if you can't learn mine I'm under no obligation whatsoever to teach you.
As a matter of fact, you should have taken exception to those who said we have to understand anothers mind, it always implied those minds are inferior didn't it? That you couldn't understand.
Such is the game of those who sunk their claws into your mind long ago, good luck with all that...lol.
Listen.
Fuckin-A bro!
No we certainly don't need these things. Well not for all public services. I know firemen keep themselves extremely busy however it is unnecessary to highlight this.

Can I ax a question here...?
Axe me no questions,
I'll chop you no lies.
Because big gov't isn't to make them more efficient.
It is still useless unless you can gauge their productivity per hour to see if they're doing their worth.
because it's none of your fucking business infidel!
"America Really Needs One Of These"
A LEADER?
"if India can do this, why can't America?"
Uh, you've seen the "Healthcare" website, right?
May I suggest that as a next step all government employees wear ankle trackers, with tasering capabilities?
How much does 2+2 equal, Winston?
This is in development now, except to be worn by everyone EXCEPT government workers.
That's why I'm going Prole
Because they're gone fishing .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2014/05/gone-fishing.html
The interesting bit is to see who catches whom .
Would you be liking our premium service with that?
I dread to think of the cost of developing such a website under the current president. I simply dread it.
The US govt certainly could do it.
Problem is it would likely cost billions of dollars to implement. Why do something right when you can do it wrong for 50x the cost?
It would take upwards of a decade to deploy then be fraught with problems.
There would of course be hefty crony contracts for friends and family of key govt personnel in charge and Congress to provide "technology and support" for the website.
for a country whose major stock exchange (aka economic engine) responds only to the machinations of a group of political appointees (Fed) the suggestion is a definite non-starter.
We don't need to pay outrageous sums to create systems to monitor the bureaucratic monitors that are supposed to regulate and monitor the regulators and monitors.
How about We dissolve the bureaucracies and call it a day.
Small, limited government. Remember? Back when it sort of worked some of the time...
Goverment accountability...BWWAAAAHAHAHA!
Would the majority of citizens know or care...BWWAAAAHAHAHA!
Would those be tracking "H1B1" visa Indians in the U.S. both "paying" and "not paying" U.S. Federal income tax, or are those Indian government workers in India alone???!!!
Wouldn't be at all surprised in the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury helped fund that project with the help of NSA and Oracle as a test bed for "other places"...
God knows we have enough of them working IT in the U.S. Federal sector already!
great idea...we can have the same folks who built healthcare.gov put it together.
how about monitoring how many usgov employees are watching prn?
Unless it's a Death Star we don't really need it.
Da fuq.
In 1999 I was a systems administrator and implemented this system. Like this is really new. This is old timey caveman shit.
That's "vintage" to you buster, and it'll cost an extra $100 million for the retro rebuild.
They work 3 shifts over there.
With the convenience of being paid a salary by the government, and directly by the constituents they are supposed to serve.
Inconveniently transperent.
Hahahahahaa.....
Government accountability..?!?!
Dream on.....
The Indian Government is still pretending to work for its citizens.
The American Government has been making it crystal clear that we are property, not owners of our society.
