What The World Needs Now... Is Not This
Despite the post-FOMC exuberance, there has been yet another major technical breakdown, this time in the infamous Vanguard Total World Stock ETF... remember, the trend is your friend... until it ends.

Mr Yellen, fire up the printers!!!! Nudge nudge, won't mean a damn thing this time around.
Short end of the coupon curve confirming the breakdown.
Listen SHZL.
Technical analysis is a fools game.
They need to expand the size of the Federal Government Money Hole & ramp up dumping operations there, stat.
Save us Patron Saint Yellen. Bless us Father Krugman.

They sure did try hard to get it back up today. MOAR VIAGRA JANET!!!!
If it doesn't follow through tomorrow, GTFO (if you're still in).
I went short last night; because of the S&P chart. very convincing chart.
Bangalore, spoken like a person who had his ass handed to him by the market. Gov stats, central bankers, and company fundamentals can be fudged or outright lies. The charts have never lied and offer a lot more transparency than any government or company.
Listen slims.
Just move the starting point of that line in the chart by a few degrees and "YOU" have no news article.
Sorry I don't play hocus-pocus.
Charts show true supply and demand. The only thing it wont show are dark pools. How many times has there been a scandal regarding charts. None that i know of. How many times have Central bankers and government stats come out as total inaccuracies or straight out lies? why does this data subject to revisions? the only charts i know subject to revision are futures chart. Do you trust the employment or inflation numbers? How many Enrons, MCIs, etc does it take to convince you that companies sometime completely lie about their data. Also, fundamentals are a lagging indicator. they base their numbers far into the past. Their forward guidance is not a true reflection future events. they try to look to far into the future not taking into account a billion variables.
Also, .gov sued S&P for true to tell the truth about the health of US bonds.
Remember MBSs were rated as AAA and that was a sham.
Things like Japanese candlesticks have been around hundreds of years to help predict the price of rice. Some of the largest mutual funds, large institutions, and central banks buy and sell equities based on moving avgs. It literally pays to pay attention to such things when hundreds of billions of dollars are at stake especially in forex or bond market maybe you trade the fundamentals and have been successful at it. Congratulations. But I have recently learned to successfully read the charts and want to turn it into a full time job. Granted charting is not 100%. But id rather take my chances with charts than the fundamentals.
Has anyone else noticed that the words "Technical Analysis" have the word "Anal" in them?
well, possibly, but a form of it allowed me to retire at 39. If you know any publishers, I am ready to explain my methods to anyone who would want to buy a book.
This chart he published here, is the main reason I check on Zero Hedge every day. I find it very interesting.
You bet. And if all things tend to the mean, there's a lot of "correctin'" to go there.
Investment in any securities is a fools errand if you are not one of the very few insiders. Many who think they are will find out they aren't fully in, which majes them outsiders to be fleeced last
As long as Wile E. coyote does not look down everything will be just fine...
You bet against the market now and you may be right. Just remember that you're betting against the people who own a printing press and could turn it back on at any time.
It's not actually that simple; they never turned it off; and b.) it doesn't do much anymore. markets are mass psychology events; they're not rational.
ok, I'll type it this time:
what is this "market" you speak of?
And then one day the Printing Press turns on YOU/them and bites 'em in the butt.
Time to buy stock in other planets.
Bullish!
THe Fund Managers will have to defy their own internal risk control protocols to stay long at some point.
-THAT could have very ugly repurcussions if things don't work out so well for their Clients...
Notice the bulk of the easy/fast money was already on the table in 2009. IF as an individial investor You were long for the 2009 ramp there is lots of room to sit out a few thousand points of carnage and grab at a few falling knives...
In retrospect it might have been best to sit out 2010 and 2011 if you weren't trading both long and short or selling the peaks and buying dips. Although the big retrace in 2009 was spectacular, The FED never really got protocols and game plan in place until mid/late 2012.
How do those fuckers sleep at night...oh wait
It's other people's money
And one day it won't be theirs either.
well...its over when its over...
Interesting.
That dangler is about as big as Buffett's pecker. Wake me when it's Ron Jeremy. Hit the panic button when it's goddamned Long Dong Silver.
Fantastico! really
Unfortunately, Pantalone, its too late to buy stocks in other planets. The central bank of Uranus has stuffed the solar system with lunar credits. Liquidity extends all the way out to the Oort Cloud.
What they need now is a world war . And it's coming. Yeah doesn't need to be this way. But just like a small town in Poland 39 ish it will over run kill you and you won't know why
We're already at war: It's called Financial WWlll and the central bankers are using our market like a bazooka. That's why fundamentals have been shot to hell. Could be an issue when we run out of bullets.
Keep an eye on bonds. Equity markets are for kids. Scotch.
Yep everyone forgets the equity's are the bond markets little bitch
You know we're in trouble when people are piling into bonds knowing full well that they'll be lucky to get .80 on the buck when everything goes poof!! Ireland 10yr's are getting a little above +1%.
As Jesus Quintana said 'Laughable man! - haha.'

Not everyone; I find it fascinating watching the flight into safe havens going on at this moment.
But I wasn't surprised. I've been expecting 2.20 on the 10 for some time. Is this how you explain the GC ramp today? Whither is it headed, O sage?
Don't worry Bulltards, it will prolly have a nice bounce down there in th low $40s... Enjoy the ride.
sigh ZH, the trend started in 2011 not 2009. Fucking technicals 101.
"Fucking technicals" 102, Chapter 1:
The shortest distance between two points is a line.
A line drawn through points arbitrarily selected by pointed-head old-school technical analysts is a trendline.
Computer code that waits for such poindexters to trade upon these cave drawings, then smashes the hell out of them using big investment bank bucks, is known as an "algo."
what chapter is algo ramp mode?
The trend has ended.
Fonz made a compelling point earlier. (bless his soul)
If Treasuries decoupled from {Corp. and RE bond yields}, how would we define risk?
Would regulators just run amok with risk pricing? Why would Treasury yields stay low?
Wouldn't everyone chase yield into HYG, causing treasury yields to rise?
What would be the impact on the USD from this type of move?
My guess is that the USD would devalue putting even more pressure on it's reserve status.
Japan is NOT a reserve currency country. It's economy is 1/6 of the United States.
Does any chart or indicator in this manipulated market tells or even guesses at any outcome? No.
Yes; of course it does. I can explain to you how to read a chart; you just don't want to over do it and start seeing t hings. My entire worldly existence depends on reading charts. Nothing is changed; don't be deceived by the internet nonsense. markets ae still markets.
this market is so easy, just BTFD
Well, if you say so; but I prefer to sell t he rallies, since it is now a bear market.
Spanx down dirty 30 yesterday on real news and up today on boshit! UUSE WANT TO BET THE DIP, goes right ahead.
Bullllllltard syndrome going to clean out the bullltards. Correction is happening right now and the dummies do not see it.
Pa....lease buy my snake oil. Yall aint got but 6 weeks. Bring it!
so...much....tears
so...much....tears
It is the Shemitah Year -
The book Johnathan Cahn has written showed a clear 90% accurate pattern. All markets correct heavily during the 7th year on a Hebrew Calendar.
This time will not be different.
Ebola is going to wipe out society in 12 months. Please get ready now.
Oh Man, I can't wait!!!
Ive been ready for 18 years; i'm a worrier.
Could get out of hand but you saw the banksters even pick up the Russell today. Even though the world indexes are being manipulated by software with an infinite supply of backing I believe there is a point at which the charts become meaningless and the financial system goes ice 9 no matter what. But I don't think you'll see anything like before. It will appear as a complete shut down--the markets will be vaporized in one unmeasurable instant.
Lets go play with Mike over at http://www.forexlive.com/
Tell him Trend/line sent you.
This type of schizophrenia in equities after an extended run-up typically signifies a great deal of indecision and doubt, prior to a downturn. Not saying that's it definitely going to be that way this time, but clearly there are many emerging risks for future economic growth.
And with this article the world will rally..........................
