The American Press has distinguished itself over the decades by being considerably more venal than prostitutes and at a much lower cost:

"You could get a journalist cheaper than a good call girl, for a couple hundred dollars a month." - CIA operative discussing with Philip Graham, editor Washington Post, on the availability and prices of journalists willing to peddle CIA propaganda and cover stories. "Katherine The Great," by Deborah Davis (New York: Sheridan Square Press, 1991)

"The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media." -- William Colby, former CIA Director, cited by Dave Mcgowan, Derailing Democracy

If the news seems me be more skewed lately it may be the government is more involved it writing it. For decades a so-called anti-propaganda law prevented the U.S. government's mammoth broadcasting arm from delivering programming to American audience.

On July 2, 2013 that taboo came silently to an end with the implementation of a new law passed in January. This unleashes thousands of hours per week of government-funded radio and TV programs for domestic U.S. consumption. This "reform" was criticized by many human rights activist as a green light for U.S. domestic propaganda efforts.  More on the implications of this new law in the article below.

Most people don't notice the difference between real people eyebrows and made-for-tv fake people eyebrows. Real people do not have perfectly groomed eyebrows where the end of the eyebrow makes a perfect straight line from the end of the eyebrow through the corner of the eye to the tip of the nose.

Check out some of the recent-historic false flags and you will see.

Most people do not notice the made-for-tv fake beards on all those al-CIA-duh/isis/isil/is or what ever the flavor of the day is, either. Never seen so many fake beards ever as there is in all the footage of the fake news showing the fake isis/al-cia-DUH/isil/is/etc.

“The main aim of education should be to send children out into the world with a reasonably sized anthology in their heads so that, while seated on the lavatory, waiting in doctor's surgeries, on stationary trains or watching interviews with politicians, they have something interesting to think about.”
? John Mortimer

But could that BBC reporter really be that stupid.

I can't imagine it...........and I have a good imagination.

“Rumpole, you must move with the times."

"If I don't like the way the times are moving, I shall refuse to accompany them.”
? John Mortimer, The Anti Social Behaviour Of Horace Rumpole                                                                                                Indeed.

I remember a classic piee of modern british literature in which the protaganist is told by  the headmaster of the school who is interviewing him; "your job is prepare young men for the modern world"; to which he replied, anyone willing to prepare young men for the modern world should be pubicly flogged. Learn Euclidean Geometry and the read  the classics and fuck the modern world; develop the ability to think straightly; and be prepared to be an outlier.

Funny, I've actually been revisiting Euclidean geometry lately - makes my mind feel clean.  Geometers Sketchpad is cool but I'm leaning towards hardware and paper.

Yes I was looking for Rumpole of the Bailey quotes

Here its is

http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0048578/quotes

Horace Rumpole: If it wasn't for crime, the democratic process would grind to a halt.

The BBC hack declared there was no crime.

The state through neglect of taking criminal proceedings has also declared there was no crime.

So by Rumpoles own  internal logic there is no democracy.

The BBC hack seems to not understand the scientific method.

On top of this he uses........

"I have talked to someone official ", but the official report is , emotional statements about the loss of life etc etc

You can pick any segment to show something quite spectacularly bad reporting but at 51.30 , it goes off the scale.

Scientist : "lets wait for the grand jury , lets wait for the grand jury "

Reporter : "You see the point is , there may not be a need for a grand jury if the evidence is already there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Scientist : WHAT WHAT WHAT

Scientist ; if you have a crime don't you see a need for a investigation.

Reporter : WHAT CRIME.

My fav is the "collective." That is where they use "we," "us," "nation," etc. to invoke a sense of collective membership in something that will further their agenda.

"The nation is reeling from the shooting of Trayvon." "We as a nation are fearful of global warning's impact on our children."...

The other fun one is the question headline. They use this to shit an idea into the head of the reader or listener without them even reading the article or listening to the talking head.

"Is ISIS less dangerous than al Qaeda?" "What are your chances for getting Ebola?"...

An American, not US subject.

"Do I believe a word they say?"

another tactic, most notably on fux news, is the implied truth that the viewer is supposed to swalllow...this morning for instance, I was eating breakfast at a diner and forced to hear this, they were teasing an upcoming interview with Mark Cuban.   There is a video clip of Cuban being asked if he was worried about not being politically correct and when Cuban says no, Steve Doozy says "Well, it's easy to not care about pc if you're a billionaire."   The implication or 'lesson' is that in order to get along in 'this culture' you have to obey PC norms.     It's insidious I tell you.  And they do it all the time with every issue.   They insult you into agreeing with the 'position' they want you to believe.

A real anchor might say, "And he's right, we have we devolved into being harmed by words, we need thicker skins and chalk racist, biggoted or unwelcome talk as the sign of a trueclod and jerk."

EDIT:   Greg Gutfeld is a great one for the tactic described above.
