As an Amazon Prime member I once had a self propelled lawn mower weighting well over 75 lbs. overnighted to me for a $3.99 up-charge. Needless to say Amazon lost big money on the deal....but the cash flow was great. The UPS man who delivered it could not believe Amazon only charged me $3.99 shipping for what would normally cost more than $150.

<Mrs. Cog made me promise to never again torment Amazon like that.>

my contractor guy calls them Julios. i'm going down to Home Depot and pick up some Julios to do this work. Mexicans are pretty thick skinned about these approbriums. the funny thing is, once they get here, they get job, and a cottage with a white picket fence, they don't want a bunch of illegals hanging around the neighborhood.

I was living in Charlottesville VA when Value America was the local vonderkind. Would sell anything to anyone to gain market share. They did a one month promotion of free shipping to anyone in the US.

So, some Dude in Alaska needs a new fridge..., $2,000 of shipping cost later...

It's crazy isn't it? There has to be some sort of wall street voodoo involved that keeps them in business. Do you have a read on Woolly Bears yet? I've been cutting a lot of wood and starting to see them.
