CDC Demands 132 Passengers That Flew With 2nd Ebola Patient Report For Testing
But, but, but they said it wasn't contagious unless you came into contact with bodily fluids. According to the CDC, the 2nd health-care worker infected with Ebola traveled on Frontier Flight 1143 from Cleveland to Dallas on October 13th and are asking all 132 passengers on the flight to get tested. One question... what about the thousands of people that those 132 passengers came in contact with in the last 2 days?

Frontier Airlines Statement
“At approximately 1:00 a.m. MT on October 15, Frontier was notified by the CDC that a customer traveling on Frontier Airlines flight 1143 Cleveland to Dallas/Fort Worth on Oct. 13 has since tested positive for the Ebola virus. The flight landed in Dallas/Fort Worth at 8:16 p.m. local and remained overnight at the airport having completed its flying for the day at which point the aircraft received a thorough cleaning per our normal procedures which is consistent with CDC guidelines prior to returning to service the next day. It was also cleaned again in Cleveland last night. Previously the customer had traveled from Dallas Fort Worth to Cleveland on Frontier flight 1142 on October 10.
Customer exhibited no symptoms or sign of illness while on flight 1143, according to the crew. Frontier responded immediately upon notification from the CDC by removing the aircraft from service and is working closely with CDC to identify and contact customers who may traveled on flight 1143.
Customers who may have traveled on either flight should contact CDC at 1 800 CDC-INFO.
The safety and security of our customers and employees is our primary concern. Frontier will continue to work closely with CDC and other governmental agencies to ensure proper protocols and procedures are being followed.”

PANIC TIME!
And was in Cleveland!
WTF IS GOING ON?
QUARANTINE TIME CORON SANITAIRE
"Whew what a week! I guess I'll just hop on this plane after taking care of someone with ebola."
That was my thought as well. Does anyone just stay still?
Isn't facebook enough for these people?
pods
They might as well demand that every citizen be tagged like fuckin animals so they can trace (or more like track) where we have gone...and they put this under the guise of a safety precaution measure when in reality, tptb just want to know what the fuck I do and where I go every second of the day.
Muthafuckas...I hope the markets crash 10% today because that is NUTHIN compared to what we have lost as citizens of this once might country, which is our rights.
Two healthcare workers have become infected at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas after treating exactly one Ebola patient for ten days.
Statistically, in spite of Dr. Frieden's assertions, the ELWA2 ETU in Monrovia is safer in terms of risk of Ebola transmission to health care workers than a modern American hospital in Dallas.
It's safer, statistically, for health care workers to be treating Ebola patients in Monrovia than in Dallas.
Everyone carefully reach around to their ass. On the count of three pull as hard as you can. One... two... three!!! Congratulations you've pulled your head out of your ass. Now pass on what you have learned to everyone you know. Self-preservation obliges you.
What responsible person would fly within 3-4 weeks after helping treat an ebola patient?
ITS THE END OF YOU...
AND YOUR LITTLE DOG, TOO!
AAAA HA HA HAHA HA !
The corrected # is 1-800-UR-FUCKD. We have plenty of CDC operators there to answer your calls.
Ebola pin meet bubble.

Check this vid out of an article from Liberia. They have caught people dumping formaldehyde into the villager's wells and they say drinking the poisoned water causes ebola-like symptoms.

I'm thinking that maybe ebola really likes dining on whitey. West Africans are descendants of generations that have faced this viral crap. Still susceptible, but perhaps much less so than my whitebread rear end?
Well, we have ZERO herd immunity, so there's that...
Some good news here at least; New Jersey will be a zero tolerance Ebola state (/sarc):
Ebola cases shouldn't be treated in N.J., nurses group says<== I Beleive Obola Is Airborn, Protect Yourself...
<== Freedman Is Right, No Easy Transmission Of Obola...
Quarantine Africa?
Are you crazy?
I’ve tried everything to get the stupid white folk to riot and they just won’t do it. They really are sheep. Maybe this ebola thing and the mystery virus from south america will push them over the edge so I can declare martial law and make myself king for life.
Bra – ha ha ha
Hey! That mike wasn’t on, was it?
Fuck it!

I heard through the grapevine that Alex Jones is renaming his website EbolaWars.com since its the only topic he ever discusses anymoar.
At least it's just Cleveland.......WTF? I live in Cleveland! Sonofabitch!
Sounds like a hit piece on Frontier Airlines
Now the CDC wants them to turn themselves in after they told them it was perfectly safe to travel with an infected person???? And they don't admit they were wrong about that???? Are we supposed to trust these people????? Hell NO!!!!!
What, jets not flying to Israel?
An alternative point of view....
http://dublinsmick.wordpress.com/2014/10/13/jim-stone-receiving-informat...
Rock on Vivek!
What if they each take a bus to report in?
Laughable that Obola is more dangerous in third world countries,.. less spreading in populations WITHOUT cars or daily airline flights????...
Weaponized...
Who flies after treating someone with ebola? The CDC told them it's almost impossible to catch, so why worry at all? Hell, given the CDC's assurances, I'm surprised anyone who doesn't have blood coming out of their anus, eyes, nose, mouth even goes in to be checked? Go back and read the assurances 'ol Tom was giving us just three weeks ago.
The bullshit is so thick on this one. I mean, rational people, c'mon...
...c'mon people.
"I just did dialysis on on an Ebola infected patient and now I'm now free to travel the country (really early on in the incubation period) thanks to my Southwest frequent flyer miles."
Farm soil is nurtured, worms are active, and compost is spread. Orchard is several years in and thriving. Garden is harvested. Heirloom seeds are stored away. Freezer is stocked to the brim. Jars of produce are stacked away. Well water is available (no electricity needed). Chickens are tucked away and laying well. 6 cords of wood are standing ready.
Everything is stocked up and ready for another brutal Wisconsin winter.
And it's going to be a virus to wipe us out?
Damnit.
I hope whoever survives me appreciates the efforts I put into my land. If it's one of you zhers reading this, bury me deep and enjoy the future bounty my farm is set up to produce. I loved my time getting it ready. I hope to turn it over to my children and grandchildren at some point, but life is uncertain.
You can't prepare for everything, enjoy your current life and let your loved ones know that, well, they're loved.
Ahhhhh Hello?
What about the people who came in contact with the latest 132 ?
Hmmmm, just estimating what is 132 times 132 equal?
Oh yes it must be 17,424.
What is 17,424 times 132..... oh damn, nevermind SHIT LOADS!!!!!!
Say Person 1 has fullblown Ebola.
He can pass it on.
But just because you have contracted Ebola from person 1, who is contagious, doesn't make you IMMEDIATELY contagious. There just isn't enough virus in your body yet. Its called an incubation period.
The more exposure to Ebola you have had, the shorter the incubation period is likely to be, but still, its a stretch to think you could contract Ebola day 1, and be contagious on Day 2.
Just listened to an infectious disease doctor who stated cases where ebola's incubation period is from 2-21 days and that 2% of ebola infected people are infectious without showing signs of illness.
We are all snowflakes and are different.
He went on to say the USA should be proactive and treat this agressively as the consequences are more severe. He stated the US should not allow flights in from countries with outbreaks. Would that mean the US would be restricted as well? Dallas, perhaps Cleveland?
We will see how it goes, so far the CDC sucks!
All medical workers please sign here: _____________________________________ I, state your name, do solemnly swear NOT to fly ANYWHERE, and will NOT have intercourse with my boyfriend, until I have been free of fever or other Obola like symptoms for a minimum of 21 days.
It also occurs to me, it may be difficult to find volunteers (medical workers) willing (or ignorant enough) to treat Ebola patients in the first place... So we might have to start explaining it a little better (like to little kids) that you really shouldn't FLY right after treating someone with a deadly communicable illness... WTF...
No doubt to create a press release that begins with: "I think we will all agree, that no one could have forseen..."
given that false flags have happened in 3 contiguous states like that, its a relatively safe assumption. but it'd probably be a little close to fairfield for some people's comfort.
This medical workier is good. Just took the kids to Disney two weeks ago so I absolutley don't want to fucking go anywhere. And my wife won't sleep with me anymore. Signed.
21 days incubation period only includes 95 percent of victims.
42 days incubation period includes 98 percent of victims.
How many days for 100 percent???
Quarantine period must be increased !!!
I read somewhere the other day that in 5% of the infected the incubation period can extend to 45 days.
Also 7 months in sperm... not kidding
Don't forget to lay in a good stock of booze, for medicial purposes of course.

It's 40mi from me but, not in my county yet.....
I think there's a case to be argued if it's in your state and you have a bug-out plan (ie your SHTF plan is to go stay at your cabin in the woods or whatever) it's time to execute the plan. It will only take a few cases (I'm betting around 100) before they start locking up travel, and at a few thousand I suspect the highways will be closed to non-essential (that's us) travel.
This is what those barriers dividing the highway are for.
Got bolt cutters?
Yep - my exact take on it when they started putting them in here. Safety my ass - it's to keep you hemmed in.
Hey Hobby - we're about three steps behind you, but making progress with all deliberate speed. Just got a manual well pump, and our woodstove will be installed at the end of the month. Our orchard is only two years in, but looking good. Shipping container two is on the way and No. 1 has already been delivered - Just need to fill it with wood and/or straw/hay.
Nice to know there are other folks out there implementing the same plans.

Here's hoping it was a GLBT convention. May Ebola finish the job that AIDS couldn't get done.
It will be FAR more dangerous for RN's to care for ebola patients in the US, compared to Western Africa, because the treatment will be much more invasive. At least initially...until people smarten up. It was a dialysis nurse who caught it. Dialysis? The level of risk involved in that particular treatment would be just fucking ridiculous. Doing it on a biohazard level IV pathogen is just plain stupid. If your kidneys go, and you have ebola, then you are pretty well fucked anyway.
Exactly. At some point, the risk to the caregivers vs. the potential gain to the patient must be considered. Dialysis on an ebola patient is just fucking stupid. I bet the hospital did this in an effort to appear to do everything after that first ER visit was bungled.
I'm still really disturbed that the caregivers weren't wearing adequate PPE, using tape to cover eposed areas of their necks:
http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/14/health/texas-ebola-nurses-union-claims/ind...
Christ - taping your neck is probably worse than leaving it exposed. How do you take the contaminated tape off without contaminating your skin? Do you use gloved hands or not? What about micro-abrasions?
I swear, I'm not sure what's going to be our downfall - ignorance, or our comple lack of humility.
Removing the tape takes skin cells with it. Enough turns with the tape and you've got an opening in the skin - the micro-abrasions you mentioned. And there is no evidence that taping the skin produces an air-tight seal in the first place.
It is unthinkable that this is the level of preparation the nurses had to work with.
I saw on Twitter that Donna Brazile had the gall to say that the nurses knew the risks of their job. Good way to get nurses thinking about whether or not it's worth it to go into work, Donna.
In those countries, overall sanitation condition is so bad that people are immune to most common and daily infractions. But the case is different in the developed countries. People here are sitting ducks.
This is Amerika we taught our children that no one is responsible for their actions anymore, it's "the man's" fault, or society's or your parents or your habit or whatever the fuck you want it to be. Fuck it, as a species we kind of deserve what's coming.

I can see Springsteen reworking his lyrics for airBORN in the USA!
The Enola Gay dropped the first nuke on Japan, the Ebola Gay dropped the first Bio-Nuke on the USA.
I went to skool with a girl who's father was a dentist that named her "Enola Gay". LOL
LOL. I hope she never took a trip to Japan with that moniker.
We did them a huge favor dropping those two bombs on them.
In related news, TBT thanks the cop that shot him while J-walking. "I don't know what I was thinking. Thank god officer Joe shot me. I could have been killed in traffic!"
Actually we did. If we had been forced to invade there would be a North and South Japan and TENS OF MILLIONS of Japanese would have died in the ensuing wars, purges and famines that would have inevitably come next.

Wait a minute! How did this ebola infected healthcare worker get to Cleveland? And if this person FLEW to Cleveland from somewhere else, then what about the passengers on that flight???
Is this out-to-lunch, PC-infected administration STILL ALLOWING FLIGHTS TO ENTER THE COUNTRY FROM INFECTED AREAS????? WTF is it gonna take!
Somebody really high up catching it, or at least family members.
Joe Biden was praying for another high-profile death from gunshot, perhaps he can volunteer for a dose of ebola instead...
LOL. That ain't happening. EBOLA: To the People With Love.
And they day before she got an plane I wrote:
Stop all flights originating from Texas.
Impose a 21-day quarantine on anyone with a Texas driver's license trying to board a flight to the upper 49 states.
Have the governors of New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana deploy the National Guard to the border and keep those dirty diseased Texans where they belong (with the Mexicans).
Immediately stop and detain anyone found wearing Rick Perry birth control glasses.

Common sense would be dealing with the immediate and verified threat first. "Texas - Nuke the entire site from orbit--it's the only way to be sure"

Does "CDC: stand for "Center for Disease Control?"
'cause there sure ain't much control going on ....
More like Center for Disease Continuation.

It's okay, if it was a flight to Cleveland, it probably didn't have anyone on it....unless it was from Detroit.

How long is it going to take to deny all US entry to "folks" from Ebolaland? Just long enough for all of Obama's friends in Ebolaland to get OUT.
How soon after you are infected do you become iable to infect others with this strain virus? These people who've caught seem to have gotten it by being exposed to a patient in the fountain of blood/vomit/diarrhea stage of ebola.
Just trying to gauge how big this will get.
You are infectious once you start showing symptoms - fever, headache, bodyaches......when it gets to vomiting you are seriously infectious.
And then I've seen talk on here that some say it's transmitable BEFORE you show symptoms. It turns out the .gov is not our friend.
Time for folks to start educating themselves by reading the literature themselves. Even if you are only basically literate in scientific concepts - the abstracts will give you enough to get the gist of the studies.
Things like incubation periods and transmissability before/after symptoms are measured in percentages - they are not absolutes. And more than half of the crap coming out of some these clown's mouths are outright untruths.
Most 50% of people show symptoms within 5.5 days after being infected. The other 98% with in 21 days and the furthure 2% with in 42 day!!!
Doctor said today that some can be infectous before showing any symptoms, around 2%.
Too many 'ifs, buts, maybes, we think' in what they say to make me wonder if they are sure about anything to do with it.
I saw a report that 95 percent incubation in 21 days.
98 percent incubation in 42 days.
Nah.
Just scare-mongering. In fact the CDC website clearly state you can have unprotected sex with an Ebola infectee - as long as neither of you come.
Meh, next you'll be recommending caffeine-free coffee!
They don't have CDC protocols to infect/protect them in Liberia, so they are on their own.
It really does take a village (of idiots) to write those damn manuals and then think the work is done and responsibility abdicated. Perhaps those worthless protocols can be used as fuel for pyres for burning the witches at the stake who preach the divine right and infallibility of their precious state.
Your scenario is a legitimate worry according to a warning from Anna Konopka, M.D., of New Hampshire in a Letter to the Editor in the most recent issue of AFP. Here is Dr. Konopka's Letter in AFP's October 6 issue:
Manufactured Virus
About 18 years ago I read some brief information about the Ebola virus in one of the medical periodicals. According to that brief—and never repeated again—the Ebola virus was produced in a Washington, D.C. laboratory as a potential biological weapon. At that time four workers in the laboratory were accidentally infected and died in a few days from profuse, uncontrollable internal and external hemorrhages. Since then the Ebola virus was not even mentioned in any medical literature, nor in news media until now.
How did this outbreak in Africa occur and why are we allowing Africans to enter the United States during this deadly epidemic?
I hope that the epidemic will not be the pretext to enforce on us the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act, an extremely destructive law, which givens authorities the power to conduct quarantines and mandatory medical exams on citizens.
This Ebola virus is probably not a wild virus; therefore, it will be resistant to a treatment and it will escape the natural mutation to lose its virulence during the epidemic. (emphasis mine)
Anyone reading this, ask yourself, "Why is this funny?"
This is funny because tptb wouldn't even do this to a polar bear.
When the citizens demand that other citizens be tagged and tracked, then we are most truly f'ed. Oh wait - from NJ nurses article below:
"Instead, they’re urging immediate containment of any suspected case, then immediate transfer to one of the four high-level bio-containment facilities at the U.S. Army facility in Maryland, Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, or St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula, Montana."
That was easy. Nice knowin y'all, hopefully we meetup at one of the above locales.
And here I was under the impression that the NSA was tracking at least a million Americans' activities in real time--"subversives" or potential subversives. Seems like this few should be a fairly simple matter . . . easy enough getting the cell phone records, eh?
dont give TPTB any ideas @diveded States, although i am sure they have that already in mind
"They might as well demand that every citizen be tagged like fuckin animals"
There's an app for that. ;)
If you've got a phone they already do. I'm sure the NSA has already modeled this and someone is tracking movement based on mobile phone geolocation already.
Titus Why do you think your drivers' license, car, and baby come pre-chipped?
If you have a cellphone, then you are already tagged and tracked.
Great idea! Never let a crisis go to waste. Time to microchip everyone.
"No one panic, we are with the .gov and here to help you, please report to room x"
"Ohhh and thank you!"
So the big question is...............what happens when one of the 132 says "no thank you"
I think we all know what the answer is!!! Things could get REAL from here!!
This is why containment becomes difficult, if not impossible, once you get to 100+ infections.
I am surprised and dubious that they have tests for it this early in the incubation period. There is something fishy about this. If they have a test that shows contraction of the disease this early in the incubation period why wasn't used on the hospital staff in Dallas?
She might be a travel RN. She could have had a one week "coverage" contract or it could have been the end of her contract or...she simply wanted to go home and be with her family after a stressful experience.
This is another problem--we use contractors who are not trained in our protocols in the way that regular staffers are trained. As a whole, these travelers don't have any loyalty to the facility to which they are sent, they have no training other than what they've brought with them---and they don't care one way or another what happens at the facility. They are getting paid and then they leave.
I am not saying that this woman is or is not a traveler---but she has the same right as anyone to get on a plane for whatever reason she deems valid.
I'm just puzzled as to the sudden shift in attitude here at ZH---where is the "freedome for all" and the "government should be outlawed" mantra? Now everyone wants the government to step in, eh? Interesting.
Situational ethics
Besides the anarchists here, most seem outraged at the usual govt. overreach and self-serving corruption.
If you are going to have government - having it step-in when the public is threatened with a deadly pandemic might be a legitimate function. Instead, we have all the graft, corruption, and totalitarianism, with none of the protections where/when it counts.
anarcho-tyranny: where the state does lots of things it shouldn't but won't do the few things it should
Now everyone wants the government to step in.
Well yes, a crisis like this is one of the few arenas where a government is needed. Unfortunately most governments get deeply involved in things where their presence is counter-productive and sit back when they're actually needed.
That was my first thought, as well.
she had to fly out to attend her CDC mandated Ebola treatment certification classes.

Notice that in the report you cite there has been no attempt to track the crew that cleaned the aircraft that transported the ebola victim back to Texas.
Funny that.
Nor the baggage handlers, or anyone else.
CONTAINED /s
It's not like between the NSA and Obamaphones the US government could not produce a list of thousands of potential people (with at least 74% completeness) who actually did verifiably cross paths with this person before, during or after that short flight from Cleveland to Dallas.
But then the NSA isn't really there to protect American citizens and residents, it's ONLY purpose is to protect the entrenched elite power structure.
And it's not like they couldn't prove me wrong in under 90 minutes because the NSA already has the database queries written to identify cell phones that cross paths using their existing meta-data collections.
You left out all the shops in the airport where the infected my have handed cash to a cashier after coughing into her hands.
And if only one person gets sick this way - they will be completely off the CDCs radar. When they go to the hospital, they will truthfully answer "no" when asked if they have traveled to Africa - and when their sick kids go to school, no one will suspect anything out of the ordinary. . .
Not so fast, Pilgrim! You can NOT expect me to believe that an infected guy flew from Ebolistan to Cleveland, and then to Dallas!?
What, they could not spot him going TO Cleveland (from Ebolistan via a major US Hub), but they spotted him leaving FROM Cleveland!? I call Bullshit, Bullshit, Bullshit!
