60% Of California Will Remain In Drought Through Winter, NOAA Warns

Tyler Durden's picture

Just wehn you thought it was safe to shower again, NOAA issues their US seasonal drought outlook and crushes dreams of wetter winter helping Californians. Hopes for heavy rain from El Nino will not be enough to change the drought situation for 60% of Californians, as MotherJones reports, NOAA forecasters warn, "While we're predicting at least a 2 in 3 chance that winter precipitation will be near or above normal throughout the state, with such widespread, extreme deficits, recovery will be slow."

60% of California will remain in drought over the winter...

As any El Nino effects are less than expected with a 50% chance of California's winter being warmer than average...

I suggest we move Vegas right away. Dallas should work nicely. Infected illegals should stay out of the red zone. Having no water while you shit yourself to death might be a little uncomfortable. However, every time I see a border-crosser, they are carrying bottled water. Is this map available in Tijuana?

Cali is on its way to a population of 50 million or more. 3rd
world people are NOT into conservation, ecology, so enjoy the
future.

Overpopulation in the United States will become THE single
greatest issue facing Americans in the 21st century. We either
solve it proactively or nature will solve it brutally for us via water shortages, energy crisis, air pollution, gridlock, species extinction and worse.

U.S. population will double from 300 million to 600 million on
its way to 1 billion in the lifetime of a child born today if we fail to change course.(2000) - Frosty Wooldridge

evidently the drought doesn't extend to Mexico, the agricultural imports keep coming. the immigration problem has always been misstated. 300 millions people living under too many regulations an inflated cost of living index and no water. just to their south around 100 million people, miles and miles of coast line, arable land, and a friendly indigineous people. the natural flow is toward equilibrium. we have already taken a great deal of their land. i suggest open immigration in exchange for infrastructure, utilities, roads. and lets tear down the border, what a waste of time and money. there are more hispanics in my town than any other ethnic group. lets do it.

Well duh.  Much of the water CA needs falls as snow in the winter and melts to fill the reservoirs in the spring so yeah the drought should continue through the winter
