First Chicago, now this.

But check it out..   why the headgear if it is not airborne?

MYSTERY: Screenings at D.C.-area airport send four to hospital...

..maybe they just are guarding against projectile vomiting.. which you could argue involves airborne fluids.

Cooler (below 65F) and drier air believed to aid potential for Ebola aerosol transmission which warm, moist air in much of Africa prevents.

What's the temp in Chicago these days?

"Of the six [animal care workers], five had no known history of parenteral or trauma-induced exposure to Ebola virus, which suggested the possibility of aerosol transmission...

...It is possible that the quantity and distribution of virus with most patients' respiratory tracts may have been below the level needed to establish  effective aerosol transmission. ...

...As previously stated, aerosol spread was implicated in the spread of disease among the monkeys at Reston and may have occurred between monkeys and animal handlers who were in close contact with the infected monkeys. "

Seems information about this has slowed to a trickle.  That isn't on accident.

Of course, now we get the internet flooded with all sorts of trype that you have to wade through.

Two weeks ago we would see news about a dog in Spain. Now, nada about people booting on planes, a slight mention about current cases, and nothing else.

This outbreak is so small in comparison to the size of the US, that taking it out of the news effectively kills the story.

I happen to agree that this has been quashed.

Did I hear that Leon Panetta declared that there will be a 30 year war against Ebola?  That there will be martial law, military "rapid response strike forces", round-ups, camps and quarantines?  That America will spare no expense, civil rights or human lives in the effort?  That Ebola may constantly pop up in random places at random times but under the aegis of Operation Righteous Whack-A-Mole the bluntest instruments possible will respond without legal entanglement to mitigate the disease?  Did he say he anticipated that the process would transform American as we knew it?  Did he say this was the foretold epic clash between our exceptionalism and dark viral forces, but that in 30 or more years that Jingo Jesus would prevail as foretold in the yet to be found Dead Sea Scroll?

Oh wait a minute.  I just shut off my TV.  Never mind.

These days you HAVE TO DECLARE WAR on something if you wanna make money off it.

Plus, you gotta have MORE of it: more terrorists come from bombing innocent people in Muslim countries.  That's the blowback from CIA and various military operations.  Means more terroists comin to the USSofA. That means more money for the DHS, FBI, private security contracts, military hardware makers, etc.  It's a win for the whole MIC!

That's why we can't ban flights from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.  Gotta get a reservoir of disease here in the States so it don't burn out!  Drug companies know this.  Same deal, you gotta have MORE of it

Lessons from the wars on drugs, poverty, terrorism, etc. well learned.

NOW, some drug company dudes can start makin bucks off them ebola viruses!

Weird how much jungle meat gets into the country via smuggling; England also has huge farmer's market shops that sell jungle meat. There are more than 50,000 Somalis in Minnesota and more than 1.2 MILLION Liberians in the US (Liberia is Only 4.2 Million people which menas that every single Liberians now has someone here to sponsor "family reunification" citizenship into the US.

Exactly how non-white does the US have to be before we can stop all immigration? Odd too, and ou should take notice, why do all these Liberians seem to work in menial hospital jobs? Is there a correlation between all the mrsa cases and other problems in hospital cleanliness with third worlders working in them? That is a reasonable question to ask (read racism into it if you don't like to get honest answers to honest questions).

The more Ebola sticks around the more dangerous it will become. Ebola will learn to adapt to its host and mutate. In its mutation it may find faster ways to infect new hosts. Every day Ebola kills more the higher the odds it will find ways to jump countries. The most important points to know about ebola now:

1. The "media" is now beginning to show dramatic drops in the numbers; these are LIES directly correlated to the calls to shut down the passengers coming into the US and other countries from Liberia. As the IBT articles (http://www.ibtimes.com/ebola-outbreak-2014-ebola-riot-turns-deadly-sierr...) notes, the Liberians and other west african countries will now Do Anything to pretend this is over. But think of it like this, polio is not capable of being eradicated in some countries of Africa because it lives in the soil. As the IBT article notes (and as I've stated before in ostinigs here), those with money in Liberia and elsewhere are obtaining "death certificates for a cause other than ebola" from morticians, if they have the money to pay for them. This disallows the ebola teams from removing the bodies. This also means their will be huge numbers still to die; can't stamp out what you lie about.

2. Did you know that the US has immigrated more than 1.2 MILLION Liberians in the last twenty years? There are only 4.2 Million Liberians in the entire country of Liberia. This means that the US has 25% of another country within our borders. When does this insanity stop? Every single Liberian now has someone living here who can "sponsor" family reunification citizenship papers. This is also known as the complete destruction of a (once) majority white country. And if that is racist, so is China (no black people there!) and so is Latin America (Latins are always for latinos first, last and always, which is why spanish is press 2 on your phones), and in Africa itself? Dam few white  people because they were driven out and told not to come back...oh wait, unless we need you to fight ebola, bring money and supplies.

EBOLA Biological Warfare

Despite its social and scientific importance,
the origin of HIV has been clouded in mystery.
Based on the mass of circumstantial and scientific evidence,
the theory that “emerging viruses” like HIV and Ebola
spontaneously evolved and naturally jumped species
from monkey to man must be seriously questioned.
- Leonard G. Horowitz, D.M.D., M.A., M.P.H.

There can be two most obvious answers to these questions. As one can see, Ebola is a perfect biological weapon: it spreads quickly and gives nearly 100% mortality rate. Those having the life-saving vaccine can dictate any conditions to others.

The second answer is a purely commercial interest. It is enough to arrange panic with the help of the media, as it was the case with several epidemics before, such as avian flu. Afterwards, it will be possible to sell the life-saving medicine at any price.

Wow, so if rates will only rise with an Ebola pandemic we are screwed either way.

I guess there’s no longer a reason to avoid banging coworkers.     Holiday parties are right around the corner….

ebola is the sideshow to distract the masses away from the real shit show - the global economic and pending collapse

naysayers such as myself underestimated the amount of debt barry was willing to take on to get re-elected (by keeping markets up) - $18T and counting

rot in hell barry

Ok, then why is it the The King...aka US President who is on TV 20 times a day...put a lawyer in place to be Czar and poof....no more flow of information form the CDC, hospitals, or media.?.?.?

They are scared to death that this thing is real and if it is not contained the system will snap...in a matter of days. Right now, as I see it, a flock of black swans are circling overhead....which one touches down first really doesn't matter....what matters is that they are coming in for a landing and nothing is going to stop them.

Has Nigeria/Senegal tested every single citizen for the Ebola virus? I thought not.

I suppose one can't blame countries for proclaiming "we're Ebola free".

Countries aren't going to voluntarily disclose that their citizen (s) have contracted Ebola.

I'd have to equate the statement of being "Ebola Free" to doctor's declaring their patients to be "Cancer Free."

While they do not see cancer in a body, they have no idea if a body is ever truly completely free of cancer cells.

Likewise, even 21 days from now, they cannot posibly be sure there is no Ebola in the Nigeria, Senegal or any other country.  No human can truly be diagnosed as being 100% free of cancer cells (I'm pretty sure we're not that medically sophisticated as yet.)

No country can actually be sure of being Ebola-free.  For the foreseeable future, countries will simply have to hope that they have no known cases of Ebola in their populace.

It's easy to state that your country is "Ebola free"... when you are being interviewed 5000 miles away from the source.

Is that why Windows 8 sucks because it's infected with the Ebola virus?
