There was this CEO named Bill Agee, once. He would go in and destroy viable companies while building his stock option portfolio, and then SELL right before the crash. Allied Signal, Fram, Autolite, and some others. They are nothing like what they used to be then. I forget now how the bankruptcies were handled back then, The last one he wrecked was Morrison-Knudsen. he left them so drained and in debt that they allowed themselves to be taken over by a mom-and-pop corporation for pennies on the former dollar-value (Washington Group). There were literal death threats on this assbiter, in Boise (he high-tailed it out, back to Kalifornicatia). TRUST ME, the people whose retirements he destroyed ARE armed and know when to shoot. Idaho has lots of desert and high mountain terrain, and things have a way of getting lost.

"Just when you think Attkisson’s imagination might be running away with her comes wave after wave of evidence that both her CBS computer and personal iMac were repeatedly hacked and its files accessed, including one on Benghazi. A consultant hired by CBS reached the same conclusion. Further scrutiny of her personal desktop proves that “the interlopers were able to co-opt my iMac and operate it remotely, as if they were sitting in front of it.” And an inspection revealed that an extra fiber-optics line had been installed in Attkisson’s home without her knowledge.
This is chilling stuff.
There is the strong implication that an administration that spied on the Associated Press and Fox News correspondent James Rosen might have been involved. A Justice Department spokesman said in an earlier statement that "to our knowledge" the department "has never 'compromised' Ms. Attkisson's computers" or tried to obtain information from any of her devices. A spokeswoman for CBS News said the network had no comment on the book. (Edit, natch, even after confirming their own property-CBS's computer, her work station computer-had been hacked.)
In the fall of 2013, with White House officials accusing Attkisson of being biased in her Benghazi reporting, the files in her MacBook Air suddenly began deleting at hyperspeed right before her eyes. She videotaped the process and showed it to two computer experts. "They're [blanking] with you," one says. "They're trying to send you a message," says the other. The experts also found evidence that the intruders had tried to cover their tracks by erasing 23 hours of log-in information.
The computer melodrama forms the backdrop for the deterioration of Attkisson’s relationship with CBS, where she worked for two decades and won Emmys and other awards. Time and again, she writes, network executives in New York and Washington derailed her stories and treated her like a troublemaker:
“They rarely said the story wasn’t going to air. They just let it sit around and ‘loved it’ until it began to stink like old fish.”
And Attkisson names names, saying the blocking of her work became virtually routine under CBS anchor Scott Pelley and his then-executive producer, Pat Shevlin. Stories were repeatedly rewritten, watered down and delayed until they never made air, she says. And Attkisson says these weren’t just stories that took on politically charged controversies involving the administration, but also pieces that challenged government waste and corporate conduct, such as the questions surrounding Boeing’s Dreamliner."

the real chilling effect comes NOT from the ability of the thechnology that allows this possible.... but from the lack of ethics from those in power and their servants, who without hesitation actually perform these deeds... unless this changes.... one better consider the possibility of becoming part of the oligarchs unless being just a peon is unimportant...

The whole public market sham allows the propagation of planned society. On the ground floor it looks as if there are market forces, but at the 30,000 ft the entire dance is planned. Companies such as Amazon, Google and facebook are given all of the free money they will ever need and cooperative dopes and willing parasites are put in place to run them and suck from their teit ... favor for favor.
Where do the ideas and technology actually originate from? People guess, but they do not really know for sure ... it just seems to happen, magically (buried somewhere within).
However, the end result is that through the use of infinite free money and somewhat mysterious technology sources, society is fundamentally changed... and we pretend it is a result of free market capitalism (chuckle).
The Public Market Sham is exactly what it is.
