Did QE Work?

Tyler Durden's picture

This week saw not only the end of QE but an unending parade of told-you-so talking-head willing to proclaim not only QE's success (unemployment ~6%, stocks at record highs, corporate profits at record highs) but to scoff at the naysayers warnings that post-QE stocks will slide since 'the whole rally has been driven by central bank liquidity' because "see, stocks are ripping higher post-FOMC."

Obviously they fail to see the link between extraordinarily low rates (enabling cheap-funded financial engineering), printed money (repressing investors into buying stocks), and the fact that stocks are surged after another central bank - the BoJ - unleashed another round of even bigger insanity.

To those that suggest QE was a victory, we have words and pictures...

If it was so successful, why did they stop?

and does this look like the chart of a successful monetary policy action?

And they still want all here to believe the Illuminati mantra...

If you think this...then you will be the object of "the plan"...

It's all going according to plan...the grand majority of the globe was screwed inside out with no Vaseline....

Those here that made some crumbs and think they're part of the "in-group"...are delusional....

What do you mean no? Money markets are trading at low, if not record low spreads. What do you think QE was for, to help the man in the street?

And if that weren't enough, gold has fallen what, 30, 40%, since 2011? Governments & their bankers are truly masters of your universe.

Why do sovereign countries such as US & UK, borrow money from private central banks?

Why doesn't the treasury print their own money? Bradury Pound

Also, do politicians know the difference between debt and deficit?

The Fed. won't keep printing. They would be perceived as "monetizing debt" .That practice is great for Japan, because the yen isn't a reserve currency.

The current deficit is about 1/2 trillion dollars, and the Fed. realizes that faith in U.S. debt can be jeapordized with " debt monetization".

I'm not saying they aren't already doing that.(it's just not public knowledge) The debt ceiling debate comes up again soon, and I guarantee you, it's going to be a big problem for policy makers.

I thought they removed the ceiling; much like debating the length of a piece of string, but can always assert it's twice as long as from the beginning to the end.

The cap was removed for just 18 months. The February 7th date postponed it until after the midterm elections. The blues and reds didn't want it an issue for the midterms.

All the cocksuckers are complicite on both sides. How can you have a deficite if you don't have a budget? How can you have a budget if you don't have a balance sheet?

History repeats itself, the solution is their template...poverty -> disease -> war.

From the top-ticks of 1929 markets, once enough suckers were invested, they pulled the rug. It then took 10 years for WW2, enough time for 'them' to prep and bunker down in their caves.

They play the long game, but the end is always inevitable; nothing better than building Tomahawks to blow up a wooden shed to regenerate an economy from scratch.

WHAM - Winning Hearts And Minds, but it's just a game of cutting grass, from whence they left, it always grows back.

Just keep your eye on Algeria and/or Baku, Azerbaijan, the last bastions of the purest black gold.

That graph at the bottom is exactly what the S&P would look like without QE.  A perfect head and shoulders top played out.  This is proof that when you don't intervene directly with a system, technical analysis works.  But obviously, employment wasn't the real target, so I supose it worked as planned.  But, given a long enough timeline...
