But - as a user of bullionvault - I can swap gold for silver pretty cheaply. And now that the GSR is hovering around 73:1, it's very tempting to turn some gold into silver.

I was thinking 75:1 would be fairly safe as the ratio has - historically, at least - not stayed above that for very long. But of course, past performance is no guarantee of future returns etc etc.
If anyone else is interested in being able to do this trade - cheaply swap between silver and gold while having the physical metals allocated and out of the banking system - I'd recommend bullionvault.

I would literally take Ayn Rand as President over any of the choices presented to us. If Rand were President, we would be able to have an honest debate about the merits of her policies, and we wouldn't have this endless game of pretending that there is a difference between the two Teams. And the fact is that I agree with her on smaller government, and she was not a bullshitter. I would vote for her versus any candidate now on the national scene for President if those were my choices. That's how little faith I have in our system.

They could also hand Barry laws that he'd veto. Why not cut the IRS budget by 75% and make little Barry squirm.
They could pass an iron clad term limit law. I doubt he'd veto that.
They could refuse to fund all sorts of things, including obamacare. Just defund it.
They could put their slimy heads together and plan on ways of slicing the govt to the bone, where it should be, by outsourcing the entire domestic agenda to the states, such as educ, welfare, etc. Just get rid of those departments, forever. Do what Reagan didn't do.
