HERE’S Why Ebola Is No Longer In the News

George Washington's picture

Forbes’ David Kroll – an adjunct professor at Duke University Medical Center -  notes:

The Associated Press and other press outlets have agreed not to report on suspected cases of Ebola in the United States until a positive viral RNA test is completed.

In other words, the mainstream media has agreed not to report on any suspected Ebola cases.

I guess the Ebola czar has been a busy boy, after all ... you know, preventing panic and all that.

H/t Dr. Meryl Nass.

Exactly. The contrived emergency does not play well just prior to the midterms.

There will come a time, when they want to blame the market crash or something else on Ebola, where will bring it out again.

Gotta have fear when they say so, dontcha know.

Bingo Notsobad wins the prize.  The MSM has not reported much at all about Ebola.  I just call my friends down in Dallas and they fill me in.  The local news there was staying on top of it and even the local news has backed off.

We cannot have Ebola in the media during the most important scam on the pleebs.  Voting in the USA!

Ebola was hurting Obola in the elections.  Not that the elections really mean anything anymore.  The Senate amnesty Repubs are so bad now that they are MIC Zio-Cons as bad as the evil Zio-Democrats.

WHY is he still insisting that only rubbing bodily fluids into wounds or mucous membranes can transmit ebola? How many health care workers will believe his lie and die as a result? He knows he's LYING - does he have contempt for health care providers? Is there another explanation? Like, he wants it to spread? That would be crazy............................. THANK GOD he's not a sociopath importing mobile level 4 bio-hazard factories for specious reasons backed up by diversions! Whew! That could have gone badly.............
Who is still supporting this DEMON? Whatever he does going forward is partly on you if you still support him - now you see the monster, your excuses are gone. Watch this video and ask how you would react if you were charged with caring for the people Mr. Obama is importing. He's telling our caregivers that deadly situations are safe. Wake up.

That's one of the benefits of the "I love Gays" movement.

You will never hear that Ebola can be transmitted by gay anal sex.

I'm surprised the the CDC have yet to announce that gay anal sex prevents Ebola infection.

Maybe after the elections...

That makes sense for Australia; they're living on a (really large) island, and can somewhat control the flow of people in and out.

It's a completely useless gesture for Canada.  They've got Obama living next door, and he refuses to do anything to stop the spread.

Why no stories on here about the slowdown in African Ebola cases? Because it destroys the "we're all gonna die!" narrative? This sucks for West Africa, but it will burn out in a few months and the U.S. can move on to the next boogieman.

I was having a friendly debate, here at ZH, some months ago with an Aussie. It had to do with how they can control their immigration a little easier, seeing how they live on an island.

He/ she reminded me, it is a continent. Oops, I knew that. But it's still a big fucking island, ha!

Thanks to Bush, it isn't as easy to leave the US as it used to be. The US/Canada border, formerly known as the longest undefended border in the world, can easily be locked down now.

Is that a picture of a gerbil?

When looking at Bush through the economic prism, one of his greatest screw-ups, was not the Patriot Act, but ethanol. (Source - numerous articles) The fatal flaw - basing future corn production on the basis of two years of corn production. Those two years being the highest yields of corn production in US history. For this alone, Bush needs a good bitch-slapping.

Ultimately, ask yourself whether Bush or Obama has been worse for this country. You'd think that answer would be intuitively obvious.

Let's see if I can come up with an analogy for how stupid ANY criticism of Bush is right now. He was a useless, dangerous man, but complaining about him RIGHT NOW is like bitching about how cold the air is after you've been pushed out of a plane at 30,000 feet without a parachute.

Mon, 11/03/2014 - 23:52 | 5409441 BringOnTheAsteroid
BringOnTheAsteroid's picture

I don't think you should talk anybody out of criticizing Bush, ever, regardless of how futile. The man brought in the Patriot Act. He should never be forgotten for what he did. It's amusing to see people bitching about Obama if there would be ANY DIFFERENT OUTCOME REGARDLESS OF WHO WAS ELECTED PRESIDENT. You might retort, "If Ron Paul was president things would be different". He would never be president, PERIOD. Wouldn't get in and even IF he did he'd be assasinated by the CIA. George W marks a real turning point in US history. I know the dick head who took the US off the gold standard was probably the truly defining moment, or the dick head who rushed through the Federal Reserve Act was the truly defining moment. George W though, was special, truly special. How that dumb bastard ever got elected governor let alone president is, there are no words.

Er, pretty sure all of that is irrelevant now. Bush would not have imported maximum ebola because his supporters would never have tolerated him doing it. Leftists are special. I get the 'republicans are impotent cowards and some are malicious' argument, but it stands next to 'the fucking DEMONRAT party enslaves everyone at the end of a gun barrel and they'd gladly exterminate all of their opposition (as they've tried to do repeatedly any time they come close to total power)'.  No comparison. Anyone insisting otherwise is grinding an axe. Sam Francis summed it up decades ago: the GOP is the stupid party, the DEMONRATS (my term, not his, I'm immature) are the evil party. RANCID. And totally driven by anger and envy. No one who loves liberty can co-exist with the left because the left's system has to be universal (it collapses if the productive can escape to greener pastures). Gotta keep 'em separated.

Everyone seems to be missing the real problem.

I mean, we knew it before, but now they're copping to it.

The White House told the press what to do, and they're doing it.

Mon, 11/03/2014 - 23:34 | 5409403 Paveway IV
Paveway IV's picture

Apparently the White House is even telling Liberia what to say.

The 22 Oct WHO Ebola Situation Report showed Liberia with 2705 Suspected/Probable/Confirmed ebola deaths as of Oct. 18th

The 25 Oct WHO report repeats the same number.

The 29 Oct WHO report shows the Liberian reported total deaths decreasing to 2413 as of Oct. 25th. That's nearly 300 less plus the 100+ expected deaths between 18 - 25 Oct.

The local Red Cross in Monrovia reported picking up 117 bodies for burial between Oct. 20 - 26th. - I'm assuming none of them came back to life. There would have been nearly as many in the rural areas, so the numbers are really screwed up. Worse yet, the Oct. 31st WHO report simply repeats the same Liberian numbers as of Oct. 25th without explination.

I expect some uncertainty regarding Liberia's counting, but am not sure we're going to get 'the bad news' until either the day of (or just after?) U.S. elections tomorrow.

Withholding that information from citizens is tantamount to sedition, and if any elected official is found to be acting as an agent of a foreign government (yes, YOU, dual-citizens), then it's an act of treason. I don't know or care what result they expect by hiding information, I just know it's the actions of an enemy of the U.S.
