Greece's Neo-Nazi Golden Dawn Registers As A Political Party In... Spain

Tyler Durden's picture

As the 'new' alternative political party - "We Can" - surges to the lead in polls in Spain, it appears extreme parties from around Europe are taking note. As KeepTalkingGreece reports, the Spanish branch of the neo-fascist Golden Dawn party has been officially registered as a political party in Spain. Between Catalan secession, record youth unemployment, and government corruption, throwing some right-wing extremists into the mix should 'help'.

Via KeepTalkingGreece,

Spanish branch of the neo-fascist Golden Dawn party has been officially registered as a political party in Spain, the Euronews reports on Wednesday. The Spanish version of neo-nazi Golden Dawn is called “Amanecer Dorado”.

The country’s Interior Ministry registered the Valencia-based Amanecer Dorado on October 27, Euronews said quoting local media.

Amanecer Dorado, which is the Spanish for Golden Dawn, is reportedly led by Antonio Vicedo Valdes, a former member of the far-right National Alliance.

The party is now eligible to run in local or national elections, the report said.

According to some reports, some 2,000 Spaniards had demonstrated in Spain in solidarity with Golden Dawn in February 2014.

I suppose the Spaniards’ protest was aiming to display solidarity with their Greek ideology-cousins and GD MPs  – GD chief Nikos Michaloliakos included – who were taken  in pretrial custody with charges of forming a criminal organization after the murder of rapper Pavlos Fyssas in September 2013..

So French youth are revolting, Bulagria's poor are self-immolating, and now Spain has a neo-Nazi party... sounds like 'recovery' to us.

As Mike Krieger concluded previously:

On a more serious note, Americans need to understand that Spain is merely a few years ahead of us. The question isn’t whether the status quo will be overthrown, the question is what will replace it. Something better, or something worse? Our key mission must be to ensure we get a better system after this one blows up, not something even worse.

Watch Spain closely in the months ahead. It will be another canary in the coal mine for the entire Western world.

When you call a country fascist, you are generally referring to its government and security apparatus, not its people.

Police can legally liberate you from your cash, $60 billion a year on DHS to terrorize you, at least $70 billion a year for the NSA to spy on you and every branch of government, and you can be imprisoned for life or assassinated without trial.  Could you get more fascist than in the land of the free?

"Sorry, but I can only think of Golden Showers when I hear their party name."

It just goes to show your ignorance. The name is taken from an illustrious 19th century British occult sect called The Golden Dawn of the Outer, references to which were very hip in the sixties - and in Nazi Germany, that had an obsession with paganism and the occult.

There are other things than porn in life. History books, for instance.

Well I believe there is technically a distinction. When the state effectively is responsible for ALL the private sector's revenue, then you're in a national socialist state. i.e. nazi's ban all enterprise that is not deemed to be in the "national interest" and favour national agencies for everything from bread and milk to electricity (there is no private selling to the public) . Socialists don't nessecarily ban enterprise, they just want the state to be the majority shareholder for any "significant' business and call all the shots. I'd say most officially "socialist" governments occupy a mid-ground between the two mostly because they can't yet get away with full national socialism for whatever political or economic reason. Could be wrong, but hey, thought it would be interesting to point out the two do lie slightly apart on the political spectrum - in that the one is just a milder form of the other. Doesn't mean I support either.

you don't believe me?

look at what happened to the maidan in the ukraine post 'freedom revolution' to join the european union.

the ukrainans are stuck between the west and russia. they have only so many choices. the far right are set up by the NWO using their own stupdity against the nwo. however, the CONSERVATIVE TRADITIONALIST is the right winger who really gets screwed by the politics of extremism.  ultimately---the poliitics of theft and centralization by the nwo using the puppet extremists whereever they can find them.

golden dawn might be similar. they have a better chance of taking over greece than syriza communists.

Nationalism is the natural antidote to globalism. It would be very good for all countries, if there were viable political parties formed around these two opposing ideologies.

Personally, I think nationalism would trump globalism every time that the two would compete in open elections. But as long as nationalism is smeared as racism, bigotry, and anti-semitism in disguise, then there is always the chance that a significant portion of the population can be deceived into opposing it in elections, and fearing it in practice.

The more that multiculturalism and immigration is favored over native culture and tradition, the weaker a nation becomes and the more difficult it will be for nationalism to gain traction.

Since the other totalitarian statists decided that while socialists and communists are generally good, Hitler and Mussolini were bad and therefore must be on the political right. That, of course, happened only after they had been celebrated by those same totalitarians. Since they were essentially communists, those totalitarians continued to support Stalin.

Fortunately for lovers of historical movies, Spain's dalliance with fascism led to their having an air force, into the 1960s, that was filled with 1940-ish German fighters and bombers. Franco apparently rented his air force to movie makers for The Battle of Britain. It was so much better seeing the Nazis flying authentic planes, after having seen many movies wherein the Wehrmacht was using American tanks. Call me picky if you wish.

Support Nazis in Ukraine, and that's what you get: Nazis movements growing like mushrooms in every country.

The resurgence of Nazism is going to be a real trend in the future of our dying Western "democracies". And vilifying them won't work anymore; they'll just laugh at your face and say "Obama-Nuland-Poroshenko-Barroso-Merkel love us, so get lost".

"...throwing some right-wing extremists into the mix should 'help'"

Golden Dawn are not right-wing extremists, most of them are knuckle-dragging morons and couldn't even spell "liberty", "freedom", "free market economics" and "personal responsibility", let alone understand what it all means.

They are just another flavour of despotic totalitariamism who want to impose their Will onto everybody else. See what happens if they ever get into government. Their Will will be imposed by the jackboot.

I'm aware that many people see Nazis and other fascist groups as "extreme right-wing" but I have never agreed with it. Calling them "right-wing" was introduced by the Left to distance itself from its own extreme brothers in history, nothing more. These groups eventually get into power and introduce a model of totalitarianism using the jackboot to impose their Will. IOW they impose something close to 100% government as the Nazis/Stalin did. And others like Pol Pot and Mao etc.

The more government you have, the further Left you go.

My point is that totalitarianism does not exist on the Right of a political spectrum because people on the Right fight against big government. See some of the extreme Libertarians who want to shut down government altogether. That is a very long way from totalitarianism.

It comes back to the scale of government:

  100% = far Left (totalitarian), 0% = Libertarian anarchy.
