Republicans Lay Out Agenda: Repeal ObamaCare, Authorize Keystone, Save The Children

Tyler Durden's picture

It would appear the blood-red pen of veto will be running dry by the time the President's term is up based on Mitch McConnell and John Boehner's WSJ op-ed explaining "now we can get Congress going." As they begin, "Americans have entrusted Republicans with control of both the House and Senate. We are humbled by this opportunity to help struggling middle-class Americans who are clearly frustrated..."

Via Speaker.gov and WSJ,

Americans have entrusted Republicans with control of both the House and Senate. We are humbled by this opportunity to help struggling middle-class Americans who are clearly frustrated by an increasing lack of opportunity, the stagnation of wages, and a government that seems incapable of performing even basic tasks.

Looking ahead to the next Congress, we will honor the voters’ trust by focusing, first, on jobs and the economy. Among other things, that means a renewed effort to debate and vote on the many bills that passed the Republican-led House in recent years with bipartisan support, but were never even brought to a vote by the Democratic Senate majority. It also means renewing our commitment to repeal ObamaCare, which is hurting the job market along with Americans’ health care.

For years, the House did its job and produced a steady stream of bills that would remove barriers to job creation and lower energy costs for families. Many passed with bipartisan support—only to gather dust in a Democratic-controlled Senate that kept them from ever reaching the president’s desk. Senate Republicans also offered legislation that was denied consideration despite bipartisan support and benefits for American families and jobs.

These bills provide an obvious and potentially bipartisan starting point for the new Congress—and, for President Obama , a chance to begin the final years of his presidency by taking some steps toward a stronger economy.

We’ll also consider legislation to help protect and expand America’s emerging energy boom and to support innovative charter schools around the country. These bills include measures authorizing the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, which will mean lower energy costs for families and more jobs for American workers; the Hire More Heroes Act, legislation encouraging employers to hire more of our nation’s veterans; and a proposal to restore the traditional 40-hour definition of full-time employment, removing an arbitrary and destructive government barrier to more hours and better pay created by the Affordable Care Act of 2010.

Enacting such measures early in the new session will signal that the logjam in Washington has been broken, and help to establish a foundation of certainty and stability that both parties can build upon.

At a time of growing anxiety for the American people, with household incomes stubbornly flat and the nation facing rising threats on multiple fronts, this is vital work.

Will these bills single-handedly turn around the economy? No. But taking up bipartisan bills aimed at helping the economy that have already passed the House is a sensible and obvious first step.

More good ideas aimed at helping the American middle class will follow. And as we work to persuade others of their merit, we won’t repeat the mistakes made when a different majority ran Congress in the first years of Barack Obama’s presidency, attempting to reshape large chunks of the nation’s economy with massive bills that few Americans have read and fewer understand.

Instead, we will restore an era in which committees in both the House and Senate conduct meaningful oversight of federal agencies and develop and debate legislation; and where members of the minority party in both chambers are given the opportunity to participate in the process of governing.

We will oversee a legislature in which “bigger” isn’t automatically equated with “better” when it comes to writing and passing bills.

Our priorities in the 114th Congress will be your priorities. That means addressing head-on many of the most pressing challenges facing the country, including:

The insanely complex tax code that is driving American jobs overseas;

Health costs that continue to rise under a hopelessly flawed law that Americans have never supported;

A savage global terrorist threat that seeks to wage war on every American;

An education system that denies choice to parents and denies a good education to too many children;

Excessive regulations and frivolous lawsuits that are driving up costs for families and preventing the economy from growing;

An antiquated government bureaucracy ill-equipped to serve a citizenry facing 21st-century challenges, from disease control to caring for veterans;

A national debt that has Americans stealing from their children and grandchildren, robbing them of benefits that they will never see and leaving them with burdens that will be nearly impossible to repay.

January will bring the opportunity to begin anew. Republicans will return the focus to the issues at the top of your priority list. Your concerns will be our concerns. That’s our pledge.

The skeptics say nothing will be accomplished in the next two years. As elected servants of the people, we will make it our job to prove the skeptics wrong.

* * *

Good luck with that!

So ah, how about ending all the useless endless wars for the profits of a few? How about bringing all our troops home and stop paying a bunch of booga-booga al-CIA-duh/isis/is/isil clowns, or what ever the name dujour is to be the bad guys in your stupid Hegelian Dialectic insanity games for profit? Spend all those trillions in America instead, rebuilding everything we can that will say Made in America on it again. When was the last time you saw anything that said Made in America on it?

You newly elected critters and toads want to help America? Stop sending her children off to fight for the bankster/oil oligarch wars. Stop this NWO carp that everybody knows is a total failure. All wars are bankster wars and not worth one drop of American blood, or treasure. Close all those military bases and spend all that money in America, not in other countries to support THEIR economies. Talk about job creation, they could pay people $1,000 an hour just to pick up trash all across the nation with all the money they spend in other countries and on the support of all those military bases.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DO NOT WANT ANY MOAR WAR!

END ALL FOREIGN DEFENSE INDUSTRY SUPPORT AND FINANCING!

END THE JUNKIE-MIC EXPENDITURES!

END ALL FINANCING AND AMERICAN SUPPORT OF MCCAINS TERRORISTS AROUND THE WORLD NOW!

respectfully, the war and alphabet terror is what enforces the global currency hegemony,

how they print all that funny paper and the new slave generation of voters

think they got some new "credit" to spend (mortgage interest and federali de-education municipal debt tax )

and the currency devalues 50% every 20 years, nearly 100% in a work lifetime,

and they take out 98% of all lifetimes on currency devaluation (inflation ) and taxes.

all that fun would go away if the war/terror went away.

that is the dialectic, yin and yank, dims and pukes, good cop bad cop operation,

one doesnt exist without the other. Youve seen that all through history and literature

but is it not a good and evil dialectic, it is lucifer and satan, There is only one Lord.

Repealing Obamacare would be a good move politically.  The legislation is very unpopular. Even if Obama vetoed the measure, a second vote in the senate and house would put the dems in the politically uncomfortable position of defending it again.  They should go for it.  There might be enough votes to overide the veto.

It certainly makes sense to start with legislation that both parties have already agreed on. Ried is an idiot for not bringing bipartisan bills to the floor, he will pay for that now and in the future.  The two parties agree on so little, only subjugating the population, eliminating our civil rights and taxing us to poverty are common ground for them, they should never pass up an oportunity to work together to bugger us.

Not sure that is correct.  Republicans were voted in out of frustration felt by a voting public that still thinks that voting makes a difference.  Voting between Democrats and Republicans in the hopes that there is some difference between them.

This causes them to grasp on trivial differences like abortions after 5PM on Fridays.

You would think that they would catch on, but they don't and will probably be happy to vote between another Bush and a Clinton for the next president..

Seriously, why do we have elections any more? NOTHING is ever settled at the ballot box.

The GOP, who rode in with the benefit of low voter turnout in a number of areas, use this as a pretext to start this Obamacare repeal business all over again. I am gradually learning to tune this shit out, it is all meaningless and meant to keep those in power in power. Never mind about the driver as to why ACA was done in the first place. This was supposedly litigated in the 2012 election, and now it appears once more in 2016. Is anyone else getting god damned tired of all of this? Veto the hell out of it, kick the can until 2016, and litigate all this over again then. Romney went against all of this in 2012, he lost, it should have been decided then and over with.

I am going to get subscription TV channels over time, turn off my damn phone for robocalling, and tune this political bullshit out because it is pointless. Flood carpetbomb advertising is the new thing thanks to the PACs. Problems do not get solved with this 2 party system, and likely never will again. WHat a sad commentary about the USA any more, that the people promote this shit fight or at least allow it to continue.

I've said this multiple times when it comes to Obamacare... The Magic Words are "budget reconcilition".

Google this phrase: budget reconciliation and defunding obamacare

Somewhere you will see the following:
he will follow through on his promise to use the budget conciliation process ... is he has the power [of] reconciliation [and] to do it with 51 votes,”

The second of the Bush tax cuts was passed this way with precisely 51 votes in the Senate. And what better way to piss all over Obama's signature piece of legislation?

I would like to know how you can stop the political robocalling?

The do not call list specifically excludes non profits which includes all the political prostitutes.  Plus there are enough for profit businesses that disregard the do not call list that I get about 5 calls a day.

The latest one I get is some "sanjay" who is telling me that lawsuits have been opened against me.  When I picked up and told him that I had researched it and he was flinging shit and that he was going to convince no one here and hung up.  He called back a few times to prove he was in control...

In short, do not call is not achieving its goals and I would be interested in knowing if there are alternatives?

Particularly after Obama's press conference, the comment of the day from Mary Katherine Ham at Hot Air

But even when he was at the height of his inspirational game, there was no plan beyond him being him. He didn’t know how to change Washington. He knew how to say he wanted to change Washington. He didn’t know how to reform health care or even how to pass a crappy bill attempting it. He knew how to assert that those were things he’d do. He didn’t know how to help his party in the 2010 midterms. His literal plan, upon being asked by worried Congressional Democrats, was “me.” “You’ve got me,” he told them was the difference between ’94 or ’06, and ’10. But just being Obama wasn’t enough. In fact, just being Obama became part of the problem long ago. All he knows how to offer is himself and his words. He has always assumed that is enough. He could almost be forgiven his assumption after he won election and reelection on those thin merits. But winning election and reelection are about selling himself. That he can do. For selling anything that’s not him, there is no plan.

First thing McConnell should do is hire a top-notch psychiatrist to help him and the Republicans figure out how to bargain with a mentally deranged President

the tea party guy is narrowly ahead in the ca52, but it will take days to count all the votes. the GOP bought every available ad minute for two months and ran nonstop attack ads, while the other side kept pointing out that the gay GOP candidate has been several times accused of sexual harassement by his staff. (poor bob filner, poor bob - if only he had put the gay liplock on his male staff members). i think if the gop can fund a tea party (gay) candidate  - the media says the GOP will expect him to carry their water - at a private fund raiser for the tea party he was taped saying something else - if the GOP is going to pay for DeMaio, they're going to accept him for what he is, tea party supporter. i dont think the GOP is that far from the tea party. the text of this message affirms that i believe.

What is truely disheartening for me is to read down the comments here at ZH and see how little faith people have in their elected leaders. I might add of their own misguided political agenda. I suspect that this is not unique to ZH. Prolonged misery and lack of opportunity does this and pepole are very aware of the politicians self-serving agenda and marriage to Oligarch interest which for most part will never change. However YOU can make a collective change. Pride is all that is required. Faith, determination and progressive action. Accountability. Often times people ask for change but sometimes it comes with great pain. I do not see a way out of this for the US or any western country without enduring some pain. However it can be done.

Pompous comment that totally ignores the reality of the political economy of the US (and other Western countries). Those that are control are clearly not capable of self reform of the institutions of the US. People have no faith in elected leaders as they are simply flunkies for controlling vested interests and crony capitalism. Politicians were brought ages ago and pride in community service, morality, ethical behaviour, etc, evapourated. The political system simply mirrors the corrupt financial system. The only pain you are going to get is totalitariansim with economic and social collapse or a hot war with Russia and China.

Wow! I hit the nail! ZH just censored at this article http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-11-05/europe-under-threat-russia-geor... (for some reason link doesn't work on this ZH article - so this is the name of it "Europe Is Under Threat By Russia" George Soros Warns The EU To Take Action, "Freedom Isn't Free""  my comment that revealed truth about ZH and to what statment many people started to plus it.

This once again proves I was right - ZH is Putin regime propoganda asset.

I will post again this comment - I saved it in a draft because knew at some point it will be deleted by ZH as it reveals truth they want to hide. Censorship on ZH and look what they don't like.

I will repeat this post because in my opinion it’s important to open eyes those who have good intention in their heart but have been misled by elite / regimes of different sides. How I see things is I look at what government is doing – looking at its work, methods and results. And from there it’s basically two sides: those who work in good of common people and protect their individual rights & freedoms, and those who manipulate their people take their rights away and work for elite benefits. Now you look from that perspective and you are going around in so called “alternative media” as this (which actually is not alternative at all – but about that little later) than I’m sure you are aware about US oligarch regime crimes and that they are not working for the people. What you are lacking in information at some sites is about other elites / regimes / oligarchs and how they treat their people. So because of this lack of information you can be easily manipulated to think that there is only one evil elite that rules west and others can be looked at as opposition to this evil – so automatically they are the good guys VS evil west. Well it’s not so at all. If you go back to what I started and those criteria how I divide governments – than you will realize that for example Putin oligarch regime, China elite regime – is not working for their people and is not protecting their individual rights and freedoms. They use the same tactics, the same crimes, the same manipulation in order to gain their elite more power more wealth and hides it under different banners. I’ post links about Putin regime in the end – check them out.

This manipulation with your mind is possible using different kind of channels that you think is alternative media – when actually it’s Putin regime asset for brainwashing you. Also US oligarch regime has their alternative media to brainwash you. So it’s really hard to stay focus and not to get lost in this war over your mind. But those criteria I posted can help you.

What Putin regime assets as RT, Zerohedge (because obviously it is Putin regime asset as you will not be able to find any criticism towards from this site towards actions Putin regime do to their people by limiting their freedoms, by internet censorship and of course will stay in line with Putin regime lies that they are not invading Ukraine - when there is evidence
about Putin regime tanks in Ukraine that are not in any country army but only in Russian) does is they are mixing truth with lies. You know – you have to add some sugar for bitter poison. They are well aware about US oligarch crimes and they are well aware that MSM is hiding them from people in west and they are well aware that people in west is seeking the truth that exposes these crimes – so what they do is this – they expose US oligarch regime crimes for what you are so interested in and in this way they are taking your attention and confidence to this source so that you trust them and thank them for bringing truth. And what they do then is they add their Putin regime lies that you automatically accept as truth because they were saying truth about US oligarch regime crimes (not always though). So this is the way they mix truth with lies in order to make you think from their perspective. If they add more paid trolls than mostly this scheme will work and people will live under Putin regime brainwashing machine. So now you know. Now it’s a choice for you to think this trough and start looking at information more with critical thinking. Yes, world is not so simple as we think.

Here are some links to look at and think of if you are cheering for Putin regime:

Further economic integration between Russia and Europe is a threat to the rapidly declining US and its sphere of influence. Consequently Russia has become the bogeyman as illustrated by the Soros bullcrap. He is suggesting that we have to die to protect the bankers.

The neo nazi nutters in Kiev were put in place as a result of an overthrow of an elected government funded by the US at a cost of $5Billion and Victoria ‘Fuck the EU’ Nuland boasts of it. What is not reported in the Western press, sorry propaganda, is that several thousand Ukrainians have been killed by the Kiev nutters and hundreds of thousands ethnic Russian Ukrainians have sought sanctuary in Russia.

Russia is not a conventional military threat to Europe. In a military sense the Russians are downsizing as they move from a conscript based military to one based on a professional armed service. All of which is a matter of public record. Not really the action of a nation that is supposedly 'threatening' Europe.

Russia like all other countries is imposing tighter controls over its media. The US is no different and is worse given its mass NSA surveillance infrastructure. In Australia the dimwit government here has introduced draconian controls around media and information disclosure.

You must be mad not to love dear leader Kim jong... I mean... Putin, all media loves him becuase all media... well is owned by Putin regime:

All three TV channels are controlled by the state: the majority share of Channel One belongs to Rosimuschestvo (the Federal Agency for State Property Management). Other shareholders include National Media Group (controlled by the structures of Yuri Kovalchuk, Chairman of the Board of Rossiya Bank, one of the largest banks in Russia, and Vladimir Putin’s personal friend; and Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea football club and Putin’s ally). Rossiya 2 is a part of VGTRK (All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company) which is owned by Rosimushchestvo. NTV is also controlled by the state through Gazprom Media. TNT and Pyatiy Kanal that come respectively fourth and fifth in the top TV channels by audience reach, are also controlled by the state. TNT belongs to Gazprom Media, while Channel 5 is controlled by National Media Group.

Why Did the Party of Karl Marx Lose So Badly? You Want Answers? We Have a Laundry List of Answers

What motivated Republicans to vote in larger numbers in this election, and caused Democrats to either vote Republican, or just stay home? Here are some of the reasons. They are not in any particular order of importance, but they all made some, or many Americans very angry. The Democrats may talk about a war on women, but when you read the list below, you will see that it was the Democrats and Obama who have been conducting a war on the American people, our freedoms and our way of life, and especially a war on veterans.

The Democrats and/or President Obama . . .

1. Caused the prices of groceries and everything else to go up dramatically so companies could cover their ObamaCare obligations.

2. Fostered even more dependency on government by expanding the food stamp program.

3. Dared to oppress American citizens with a tax penalty just for being alive and not having health insurance.

4. Caused millions financial hardship with higher health insurance premiums.

5. Caused millions hardship with other changes in health insurance.

6. Caused over 200,000 doctors to opt out of ObamaCare, thus limiting choices for patients.

7. Made false promises to Hispanics/Latinos on the one hand, and yet exempted non-citizen Hispanic and other immigrants from having to pay the ObamaCare penalty.

8. Lined the pockets of loser alternative energy companies with millions of taxpayer dollars.

9. Signed off on numerous tax increases.

10. Made it cost prohibitive because of oppressive regulations, and ObamaCare for businesses to add new employees to their payrolls, and caused millions to stop looking for work, leave the workforce altogether, resulting in the lowest labor participation numbers since the 1990’s.

11. Continuously harassed and threatened energy companies, and put thousands of coal workers out of work.

12. Lied about Benghazi to create the appearance that terrorism was under control just before an election.

13. Cut benefits for veterans not yet retired, while grandfathering in benefits for civilian government workers.

14. Oversaw the mismanagement of VA hospitals, resulting in dozens of veteran deaths, bringing misery and despair to their families.

15. Did nothing to encourage black entrepreneurship.

16. Did nothing to discourage the social injustice of black children growing up without fathers.

17. Printed billions in paper money that has and will lead to even more inflation.

18. Failed to listen to America’s military leaders & caused thousands of horrific deaths and rapes by pulling out of Iraq.

19. Signed off on a school lunch program that caused children to throw out millions of pounds of vegetables and uneaten food, and caused them misery, to boot.

20. Instead of seriously and passionately addressing the massive incidents of black on black violence, fostered animosity in the black community towards white people, using high profile cases like the Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman altercation, or the Ferguson, MO, incident.

21. Allowed the distribution of automatic weapons to members of the Mexican drug cartel by border patrol agents, where some of the guns were used to kill American citizens (Fast and Furious).

22. Emboldened employees of the I.R.S. to harass organizers of conservative non-profits, sometimes sending out FBI, and other government department field agents.

23. Harassed and/or arrested/or confined to mental institutions, both civilians and members of the military for their harsh, public criticism of the president on social media and on blogs.

24. Racked up millions in luxury vacations for himself and his family.

25. The President angered many citizens with his cool, aloof attitude towards the misfortunes of Americans, like going out to play golf, after giving a trite, short speech about the beheading of an American citizen.

26. The President allowed and emboldened his Attorney General, Eric Holder to operate out of the boundaries of the law, committing one act of lawless corruption after another, causing untold misery to citizens and companies, like Sierra Pacific.

27. The President nationalized thousands and thousands of acres of land across the nation through executive orders with the stroke of his pen, because nationalizing land is what communists do.

28. Robbed Indiana police and firefighter pensioners, and thousands of private citizens of their stock and bond holding when he (Obama), bailed out GM and Chrysler, an act later ruled to be unconstitutional.

29. Caused foreign nations to lose respect for Americans.

30. Caused hardships for Americans living abroad, with the draconian rules of FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act), a law that commandeered foreign banks to report on U.S. citizens, causing many of these banks to drop U.S. citizens as depositors, making it difficult for U.S. citizens to even find a foreign bank to do business with, and causing them to have to file both U.S. and foreign income tax forms, even if their salary, or business profit was not earned in the U.S.

31. Allowed thousands of immigrant children to enter the U.S. unaccompanied by adults, along with other lax immigration policies, failing to enforce existing immigration laws.

32. Allowing the U.S. Attorney General to pick and choose which laws to enforce, and which laws to ignore, like the Colorado marijuana laws.

33. The President angered many Americans by ignoring the constitution, and bypassing Congress to create laws, in an egregious abuse of power, like a third world dictator.

34. Raised the national debt not by billions, but by trillions, beginning with the two trillion dollar ‘Stimulus Package.’

35. And last, but not least, threatened gun owners with more restrictive gun control legislation.

You don’t have to look any further than ObamaCare to see just how little Democrats respect individuals. When it was first introduced, it was a diabolical program designed to gradually and incrementally funnel workers out of the private insurance market and into a single payer, public option, Marxist, nationalized health insurance, i.e. each time a worker quit his job, he or she would automatically be forced into the public option. This aspect of ObamaCare was removed before it was passed, taking some of the teeth out of the bill, thanks to the protests of many T.E.A. party members and other concerned citizens. However, the audacity of the original intent shows just how evil their plan really was when it came to their believing they had the right force people to contribute monthly payments that would have been collected by the IRS electronically from personal bank accounts.

They have no respect for people as individuals and see them as nothing but a collective to be micro-managed, top-down, fascistically, Mussolini style. Not until people started experiencing ObamaCare firsthand did they finally understand on a personal level just how much they had been screwed by the Democrats and the aspiring Marxist in the White House.

36. Allowed the "TBTF" banks to run roughshod on extant Real Property, and property Title law via control fraud during the MBS meltdown. Billions (Trillions?) were transferred to the criminals and oligarchs, and this is being paid for in real time by everyone's labor (lost earning power via inflation).
Too bad that new congress cannot restore the rule of law (and throw some crooks in jail), as that power is held by the Federal and State Justice Departments.

Rush Limbaugh (who I rarely listen to) said it best today. Republicans were not elected to govern.

...This was the people of America "standing athwart history and yelling, 'Stop!'" There's only one entity that can do that, and that's the Republican Party. They were not elected to "get along." They were not elected to "reach across the aisle."

They were not elected to "compromise." They were not elected to "end gridlock." They were elected to stop the policies of Barack Obama and the Democrat Party....

I'd like to see the obola, his bitch & all his followers & supporters of coercive collectivism get recycled by ebola, so I am very happy about the elction results.

BUT I predict that the republicans (ie christian taliban) will screw up the election victory stunningly, for at least 2 reasons:

1. They will fight among themselves again like out-of-control children over toys, especially the egotists & ambitious, eg Cruz, and be divided enough for the obola vermin to win politically.

2. They cannot resist trying to exploit & manipulate government to impose their christian dogma shit on everyone resulting in another vomit reaction against the (republican) christian taliban and another political victory for the obola vermin.

Cruz's theatrics trying to shut down the government was pure stupid for many reasons, eg

1. he could not possibly succeed in his goal with his tactic and tiny power, so all he would accomplish is damage

2. government does too much for too many vested interests who would direct their resentment at the entire republican party

3. he divided the party at a critical time when they needed to be unified

etc, etc - pure idiot moron FAILED tactics.

We are humbled by this opportunity to throw fat contracts at our friends and relatives and otherwise simply continue with exactly the same policies which were already in place.

Mitch and orange man (Boehner) are gonna save us? Shiitttt. What we did nationally yesterday was like cutting off the top 10% of a cancerous lesion. May look better, but reality will come back soon.

All I can say is they are clearly in the drivers seat now. If they pursue their agenda and things go badly who's fault will it be? Oh yeah, that's right. It will be Obama's fault. The Republicans accepted none of the blame for 2007-2009 and this time it will be Obama's fault. Okay, let's elect a Republican President in 2016 and see how it goes.

ACA repealed. - check

New war in the middle east - check

ban abortion - check

cut aid to the elderly and the sick - check

cut taxes on the top 10% - check

anarachy and martial law - check

OK, for where we are today - that is, where this president and the Dems have brought us to today, I think what Boehner and McCon are saying are the right things, and excellent paths to lay out.

In reality we likely will not see many of them passed, but I think the direction will be established.

and as the lifespan of the propaganda for their guy obama comes to an end no longer keeps majority support, time to send out some other political jerkoffs in red tie's instead and ramp up some historical rhetoric to get the faith back up in the sheep with some nostalgia inducing pleasantries from the psychopaths running the GOP.

Obamacare was originally called Romneycare when it was launched in Massachusetts.  Who did the Republicans nominate in 2012?  Mitt Romney.

Obamacare is not going to be repealed.  They will tinker with it and make it more friendly to Republican interests.

OBAMACARE IS NOT GOING TO BE REPEALED.

Yeah right...

Essentially the same priorities of the GOP in the early 2000s.

Then it was a GOP controlled house and senate under a GOP president.

What did they do then? NOTHING

(well, they spent even MORE money and ran the debt up even higher)

Fool me once...

We will fix laws that should never have been passed by passing more laws - in an effort to make sure that nobody can be accused of knowing what is going on. This will, in turn, support the massive legal structure which ensures cops, lawyers, judges, politicians and lobbyists all have a reason for existing.
