I figured I would just cut all of the bullshit out of the question and called my new CONgressman and told him I thought he was doing a shitty job.  He's not even in office yet of course but so what?  Might as well let him know right away.

This is the same asshole who ran for governor here in Swampisota.  He appeared before the executive committee board  that I served on and made some big speech about how he was going to do this that or the other.  All I heard is we will pass bills and make some more laws....blah blah blah.

I had a question so I asked it:  "Have you ever heard of the concept of de-legislation?"  I stopped him cold right there and he had to ask what I meant.  If you are on banzai's thread then you already know what I meant by asking that question.

"Instead of proposing new legislation all of the time why not go back and review all the legislation that has been passed over the last 150 years and see if some it needs to be either amended or rescinded?" I asked.  And really what could be wrong with reveiwing all of the laws doing that?

Naturally he asked me for an expample what I was talking about and naturally I shoved it up his ass.  "Why can't I buy a car in Minnesota on a Sunday?"  I owned him on that one.  I continued on, "For a guy who stands here and professes to be pro-business you spent how many years in the state legislature and you never once brought this issue up?"  He left.

If a retard like me can own them like that....  Later the asshole shows up in the 2012 Ron Paul campaign as the fucking MC when Ron Paul came here to speak!!!  Then I found out who was responsible for that move and it gets complicated.  Let me just say this:  crabby women who were going through divorces who are easily manipulated.  I knew we were compromised in the 2012 Ron Paul effort.  It is not Ron Paul's fault though because running a national campaign is very diffucult.  It is easy to compromise some of the operatives and we got compromised.

So at any rate, we are sending the claim jumper to Washington D.C.. as a house representative.  That really changes everything.  Knuckledragfuck is replacing the fruitcake Bachmann which is fine in a way because she was way out in the north cornfield.  I met her and talked to her and let's leave it at that.  It's like the mob in way but worse because there is no honor.  I'm sorry I ever got involved but I had to because all options needed to be explored.

These people are disgusting.  There is no sense of honor or truth and they will turn on you in half a heartbeat if they think they can gain something.  That is fine in markets but those are personal decisions and that is a different ballgame.  You can choose to play the markets or not but you really can't choose who is running the shitshow.  These motherfuckers are ruthless in their quest for power.

I was asked to run for state senate and I said NO.  Why?  Because becoming a politician will make you into a liar and I can't do that.  Banzai knows what I mean because I upheld a promise I made  to him.  You will not get the best man for an office under the current system but you will get lying cheating slime.  I can't do that.  I can't compromise myself.  I can't lie very well.  Therefore, I will not make a good politician.  That and the fact that I would go right after the financials immediately.  I have already done that and you are not supposed to say anything.  Fuck.

What do we do?

I am going to have to stay away from Banzai threads for awhile!  First, WB7 caused me to spew my sugary tea drink (now taxed in the Peoples Republic of Bezerkley) and then you caused me to nearly choke on my sandwich with the crabby women comment!  Out here in the Land of the Fruits and the Nuts, we have packs of crabby middle aged divorced libtarded women running around screwing up civil society everywhere they go!  They call themselves "lesbians."

Your comments are epic. Damn near soiled myself.

Commenting on the conversation below.....about....uh.....complete reboot and who would be the new boss: # For a complete reboot the the dedication of the military would be essential. They could shoot their own officers and that would have Congress, the Executive branch; and SCOTUS trying to get plane tickets and packing AF(1) for the flight to Israel to set up their "gov't in exile".

I watched a pretty good film called Russian Revolution in Color, which was very detailed, and I think many of the problems that plagued the revolution were caused by the Bolsheviks refusal to collaborate with the soviets (local leadership). What did happen is exactly as you wrote regarding your concerns of who would, ultimately, seize power.

It was the elites know as "White Russians" who seized power and formed a provisional gov't, and opposed the Reds, which caused a civil war ;lasting a few years. The West Europeans, Americans and British backed the White Russians and we even had boots on the ground trying, in vain, to stop the Soviet Russian Navy.

When the Soviet Navy had won the day and secured Lenin in power; the Navy, which made the first revolution and abdication of the Czar possible, was then crushed by the newly formed Red Army. Lenin did not want democracy and refused to share power with anyone outside of his small group of about 10 members that crushed any opposition, killed the intellectuals and turned Russia into the greatest and most ruthless dictatorships ever known.

Your concern is right on point.

I would rather this country still be subjects of the British Crown. The American Revolution was a scam, the Constitution a doormat, and ruled by a gov't which has displayed & dished cruelty and tyranny upon us and most of mankind. We destroy cultures to benefit a few at the cost of many lives for reasons, usually, hidden from the masses.

I agree with your views that we should beware of what we wish.

We have the internet, but no one uses it to enlighten themselves which is very odd to me. I believe the internet and wifi is the paradigm shift foretold by the Mayans. I have learned so much about the world, economics, the past, the present, technology, politics, religion in just the last 8 years. Learned more in 8 than the preceding 40 which is amazing and was  virtually free.

It is sad people do not spend the time to figure it out. Maybe I am just impatient?

You write like a Scot but I guess you are Scandinavian?

+1 for that.  No, I am from Minnesota, and orginally from the brush of Northern Wisconsin.   You would not think that if you saw me in person but I can out pace just about anyone with a written statement.  I only kill game and I am really good at it.

As for the Russians, well, she expects me to do what I do.  She is of the White Russians and the family is friends of the Don Cossacks.  There was a marriage in there as well a long time ago.  But whatever the case may be, I was told by some German gal that I was not German. Some years later, I was told by a Polish gal that I was not Polish.  A DNA test would say otherwise but I do not care about that.  I could care less because I simply live here.

I think you correct toolshed.  I have been ready for years.  I have only tried to be polite about it.  I would say that it is fomenting for sure but I have a problem.  I has to do with the referundum that I voted on last night.  We can't have mob rule.  My biggest fear is that we revolt and turn right back into the nazis we are already.  Meet the new boss, same as the old boss sort of thing.

I have not been able to solve that conundrum.  If you are going revolt and you "win" then what happens next?  I know what I want for a monetary system but there needs to be some law of some sort...or does there?  I see bad things on both sides.

Maybe if a business fails then let it fail.  Come on, it was a bad business model and how many buinesses fail or are not started at all because of government regulations?  This might be a good place to start.  But are these idiots going to do anything like that?  No, they won't.

I wander over to Huffpo once in while and marvel at the stupidity there but they have a readership that is astronomical compared little old us at ZH.  You simply have to read the comments there to get your blood pressure to rise.  I do not think there is much gray matter over there.  You can't fight them because there are so many of them and so few of us.  Or can you?

the basics of voting are pretty straightforward. if your candidate is a senior encumbent, with lots of prestige, committee seats, and their party is also the party of the president reelection is automatic. voters arent going to throw out a senior senator or rep with affiliations to executive, and a majority in the house or senate for some wet behind the ears junior member of the party out of power who has no clout. ironically this also colors the voters perceptions of governor races. california threw out gray davis for arnold s., after the bush people at ENRON raped the golden state on the electricity market. at the same time the people of california had votged in a tough talking republican governor to curry favor in washington, they also keep him on a short leash. arnold s got very little of the high profile GOP agenda they wanted. voters essentially vote their own self interest, if it means caving in to a candidate who does not match up with voter demographics. the real issue who can best represent you, and thats the encumbent, usually. if you want to change the system change the way they appoint committees. stop rewarding seniority. so you see a bunch of red state voters, were able to affect the governors race in california by electing george bush, using their electoral college leverage (or about 1  1/2 times as many votes) so if you really want your vote to count move to south dakota. in the final outcome the GOP revolution of 2000 fell flat, but now they have both branches of Congress, and only need the WH to return to where they were in 2000 after a feckless president Clinton moved to far to the middle in his second term, was impeached, and left the door open. will the new GOP Congress impeach Obama, well why not, but its all looking very familiar isn't it.

I am even beyond thrid party candidates.  Last time, I voted Gary Johnson who couldn't even get 5%.  If they cannot even get 5% for ballot access then what hope is there really?  I am more on the Carlin line of thinking now, that voting is consenting to the system that we have.  I do not agree with it, I do not like it and I do not consent.  Therefore I do not vote anymore.  If the system has remained this bad for this long and only has gotten worse, then third party voting is about as useful as R or D voting.  We need fundamental change and that is not going to happen.  Well not without a major world war or a complete system collapse.  And even that would only be half the battle.  It would still require those who remain to force a system like the Republic was initially intended.  What are the chances of that?

I understand why those guys go live up in the mountains of Alaska now...  Freezing your ass off and being hungry most of the time is better than this.

No, not really amazing.... disappointing perhaps, discouraging to be sure, the general public is asleep at the wheel. In my state, the Bloomberg machine poured in millions of dollars (Gates and Allen dumped 1 million each as well)to sway voters into selling their gun rights and create a 'registry' via I-594. This supposed 'Background Check' iniative will be coming to a state near you now, unless the gun rights people in your state preemptively pass an initiative or legislation to stop things like this.
