France Stinks... Literally

Tyler Durden's picture

Having promised that he would not run again if unemployment rates remain high, French President Francois Hollande faces not just record low approval ratings but feces-flinging-farmers. In a show of protest against expressing their anger at collapsing prices (due in part to sanctions against Russia), increased environmental regulations, cheap imports, and high costs, thousands took to the streets, dumping pumpkins, potatoes, and carrots, burning cars, flinging apples, and spraying shit all over a government building in Toulouse. The French are not amused...

Dumping veggies..

Burning Cars...

Flinging fruit...

And Spraying Poo... In Toulouse.,..

And Paris...

This kind of story is only aimed at doing a cheap shot on France.

It is a good occasion to make fun out of the French, and we will surely have a firework of “good jokes” coming from “superior people”, and even hateful comments - as usual in ZH, when it is about the French.

If you would have read the few sentences you would know, that it's because the prices of vegetables had been destroyed by the Globalists' war against Russia.

Btw, France is one country, that was not pushing ahead and the CEO of Total had to pay the highest price for being a friend of Russia.

Btw, even an unemployed in France has a better life than a the average working US sheep. And no French worker needs two or three jobs to feed his family and students do not start their life as debt slaves and the best education of the children is not restricted tot he 1%. And everyone has excellent healthcare and retired people are not dependent on Wall St.

It's fascinating how US Americans still believe in the globalist fairy tales how well they were doing and so you don't even recognize that it is the City of London and New York, who are desperately trying to avoid an axis Paris-Berlin-Moscow, because that would mean your stinking bankster regime would be OUT!

Agreed with your comments on France, but the problem is that their system is proving to be unsustainable now. The European umbrella bought them some time, that's all. Remember, the Greek also enjoyed a tremendous boost in their way of life until it all came crashing down for lack of funds.

Memorise this word well, because it will become a very familiar concept in the near future: unsustainable.

Totally agree. Socialism isn't what destroyed Europe. Socialism in Europe was doing fine before the crash of the American housing market. I'm fed up with all these americans here talking about socialism while they haven't the slightest clue what they're talking about. Who knows, maybe these guys enjoy their student loan debt and lack of productivity. And yes, a socialist nation can actually be productive. Bet I'm gonna get junked for this, but whatever. Truth hurts delusional people.

" Socialism in Europe was doing fine before the crash of the American housing market. "

It never occoured to you as you wrote that line that the Socialists in France required access to the rehypothecated fraudulently finincialized property bubble induced by the central bank of another repressive crony capitalist ponzi in order to perpetual their own unsustainable illusion of a free lunch?

It was great for France to place bets in the crooked Wall St./City of London casinos as long as their losses were never counted up.  The European Banks -including the French- were and are in need of bailouts having been bankrupted in the aftermath of a collapsed FED induced/encouraged episode of rampant fraud.

IF is ever to be discovered whether or not socilaism can work for France that nation will have to seal itself off from the rest of the world and distribute only that which it has within it's borders amongst it's populace.

-NO EMU, NO IMF, NO foreign investments, no imports or exports of energy or food or materiels or goods or technology or services, no immigration or offshoring, etc.   Socialism will either be proven to work by running an entirely closed system for a few generations or it will never be proven to work anywhere ever.  Good fucking luck trying to tell the French farmers that Socialism means only selling within their own borders forever and forget about dumping foodstuffs on Russia or selling wine to Britain or wiring money off to Wall St. casinos to prop their derivative gaming of their own dysfunctional internal markets.

But grassrootmovement is exploding, good education makes them exchange knowledge and look for better ways and systems to interact.

Masking scent for the women.

Kirk2NCC1701's picture

IBID:  Masking scent for the unwashed women.

Clean people do not need their scent masked.  Only dirty ones do.  Although... did you know that...

Tests show that people respond sexually to Pheromones, which are secreted in different amounts by different parts of the body.  It turns out that the groin and underarms secrete the most.  Therefore, for the ultimate positive effect, one should shower well all body parts, except these two areas.  But use an underarm deodorant just the same.  According to studies, it turns out that if a man does this, or uses a 1-day old T-shirt, that more women will feel "attracted" to him.  The differences are subtle but real.  You should still shower and keep clean, but being "too clean" also means "No Pheromones".

Moral:  Like so many things in life, MODERATION is the key.

p.s.  It also turns out that people who don't like another person's pheromones, just aren't bio-chemically compatible.  Either as friends or as lovers.  The Germans have a saying that's rooted in this:  "Ich kann den nicht riechen".  Literally it means "I can't stand his smell", but we'd just say "I can't stand him".  Note also that the sense of Smell is one of the oldest and most important in biology and in Mammals.  It still holds true for Humans too, come to find out.  So think it through, before you have a Modern Consumer knee-jerk reaction, that's been conditioned by TV and Madison Ave.

Re: "Very easy to be sure you have only ethanol."

It is not simply a matter of boiling points, you have to consider Raoult's Law and deviations from Raoult's Law. Methanol is added to ethanol to produce denatured alcohol so that it cannot be easily converted back to ethanol for  recreational consumption. It is certainly doable, but if it was "very easy" to separate ethanol and methanol, methanol would not be used to denature ethanol. Avoiding methanol in the starting material is the best approach if you are going distill at home.

Something's rotten in France.

To rot, or not to rot, that is the question—
Whether 'tis nobler in the Mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortunes,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of Troubles,

And by opposing, end them?  To lie, to keep—
No more; and by a clean Sweep, to say we End
The Heart-ache, and the thousand unnatural Stocks
That a Crash is heir to?

'Tis a Consumption
Devoutly to be wished.  To lie, to keep, to screw, to sleep.
To sleep, and perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the Vapor rub,
For in that sleep of Wealth, what Dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal Coil,
Must give us pause for an Unhappy Ending.

to be fair, French farmers have always been a spoilt lot, always ready to protest any time the govt don't increase handouts or give them more holidays.

French farmers have been driven off their family lands because of stupid Agricultural policies.

It is worth more to grow nothing on your land then to grow something, in some instances.

An acre in South America is more valuable than an acre in France, in terms of the price per acre and revenue.

I admit my knowledge of France and their protesting farmers are largely from a French counterpart of mine from a client's company from years back, he was a Parisian and from the upper-middle class, so his views may be quite biased. Since it's been years I last talked to him(both of us having moved on to different companies), they may or may not reflect French policy or the reality today, but from what he told me, that's how French farmers used to have it.

But simple economics still holds, a farmer gorwing pumpkins or carrots in a developed nation like France, that does not have the benefit of massive scale of production(like agri-exporters US and Australia), is not going to be able to produce on the same costs as farmers from many other less developed nations in the world, that's just reality. If they are to survive they have to be on govt handouts in one form or another. Without handouts, then dying a slow death, or becoming a cottage industry, unfortunately, is the expected result.

Until government is held to it's own laws and whatever constitution it is supposed to live under, socialism will forever expand, until Marxism is worldwide. This is because of the principle agent dilemma. The agents, (the elite) have great incentives to mass power while the principles, (the people) want and need liberty.

The only way to solve the principle agent dilemma of government is to oblige government to actually police itself. To that end a Fourth Branch would be sufficient means. A Constitutional branch of government, that's total responsibility and source of power would be to police government officials, holding them to all the laws they pass and especially our Constitution. I fleshed out the idea in The fourth Branch. Read 80% free here...

You could have four thousand branches of government, and you'll still never escape the fact that they are wholly owned by the oligarchs and their mafia networks.

Your solution (as ALL political solutions are) is merely another divide and conquer tool used to fool the masses into believing it is "their" government.

The true problem is the central banks of the world which empower the criminal collectives. As long as they are in charge of "money," nothing good can occur in a political world. To believe otherwise is to be a self-propelled tool of your own enslavement.

A kilo of spanish strawberries sells in France for €4, french produced strawberries sell for €8 to €12 a kilo. and the same goes for olive oil, peaches etc...

This is french socialist wealfare strictly applied in motion.

The next step is a harder collectivist government such as the Front National or the Front de Gauche that closes the borders so that french people, not being able to pay for the french strawberries, do not eat strawberries at all. French farmers go bankrupt equally and the whole house of cards falls apart.

The fact is nothing is getting better in France or most of the Euro-zone and only serious and painful reform will help. ECB President Mario Draghi's last move towards more QE is no more than stupidity on steroids, even words like misdirected and boneheaded do it a disservice. This is more proof that the Euro-zone is in big trouble, both the union and the flawed currency is again begging to crumble.

One is forced to wonder if Japan and the Yen will crash first considering how each day Japan slides closer to the economic abyss or whether the Euro will lead the way into the wastebasket. Draghi has helped the countries of Europe kick the can down the road but this only delays the failure on the Euro. More on how the Euro-zone has failed to make any real reforms in the article below.

When I was in Paris and visiting the Eiffel Tower, I didn't take the elevator, rather the stairway up one of the legs of the tower.  A very nice climb up and what a view.  The stairway ends below the top, and to get to the very top from there, one must use the elevator.  On the grounds and park area where the Tower sits, there are NO restrooms.  I found the closest WC on one of the streets just before the park.  50 cents to access the WC and the little old Chinese toilet lady is right there.
