Payrolls Reaction - Algos Gone Wild: Stocks Pump-And-Dump, Silver Halted, Bonds Whiplashed

Tyler Durden's picture

Treasury yields were leaking higher into the print then collapsed on the headlines. Stocks smashed higher on the 'good' news of a lower unemployment rate then read the details and have plunged. Silver prices smashed higher, futures were halted, then tumbled back. Total and utter chaos in the liquid markets...

Markets went nuts...

Treasury yields wrong footed into the print

Stocks pumped and dumped...

The dollar is going crazy...

Silver surged

Silver was halted on that surge...

Of course silver was halted.  Can't have that reflect true value.

REVERSAL next week.  I can feel it.  The mf's will start a rotation from equities to PMs and Energy.  Just watch.  Loaded up on cheap SPY puts from all those smart-asses loading up on VXX short to their necks.  This will be a shearing for the history books, chapter 1 being the epic takedown of VXX and VIX shorts.  The same feedback loop of shorting vol and loading up on indexes and momo will reverse with a savage avalanche of the indexes, as the smarties pile on PMs, energy and energy equities.

BTW, has anyone noticed how the indexes stay pristine, but every mf'g stock I own has been bludgeoned.  I've accepted I'm a dolt for individual stock-picking, but it's almost like they have a freaking algo that goes around assassinating individual names but preserving the index.  If they cycle through carefully enough, they can dump sectors and names individually or in groups while people are feeling comfy that vol is low.  Maybe my puts won't work.  Hell, at least they're cheap.

Of course, that depends on which definition of "fix" you're using.

I hope they smash the Silver price down to $9 because that means I am paying a lot less while I load up on the sale...

Take the price down all day, I care not.

Good luck finding ANY phyzz if it went down that low.

Even if you found phyzz, the premiums would probably be 3x spot.....at least.

That is what the Banksters do not understand.

Their market is smashed. We know it.

Yet many of the lumpkin do not know it.

And when the lumpkin finally awaken.

We will have the metal.

And they will be without.

Those without it will not be eating.

Prepare for two weeks of chaos while they die of starvation and we die from their bullets.

The media will paint us as the ones who caused it.

The banksters have bought and paid for the media after all.

We must ACT BEFORE THAT HAPPENS.

The best defense is a good offense.

Hang the Banksters.

In the olden days that would be called a "gap up".

But now they measure the transactions in nanoseconds.

The gap ups and gap downs were crazy leading up to the January, 1980 peaks in both Gold and Silver.

This is just a taste of what is to come.

I think many would appreciate and it would help educate the masses if it were clarified that these trades are not in actual silver, but "silver futures with a cash settlement option".  It kind of makes a difference and it's a totally different asset.

The problem is that it's the paper market that determines the physical price. So, as far as the "masses" are concerned, it's a distinction without a difference. As far as the rest of us are concerned; back up the truck baby.

It's simple.  They want the simple-minded silver owners to nervously dump their silver they bought for $24.00 so they can pick it up at $15.00.  After that, it goes to $110.00 when they slam the wall with their paper race car.

Maybe this is tin-foil-hat thinking on my part, but it seems to me that mines cannot continue to produce at these prices for very long. So, me thinketh that perhaps the .Gov plans on driving these mines out of business (via manipulation by JPM et al) and then declare an emergency whereby they nationalize all the mines in the name of national security. Crazy, huh??
