Payrolls Reaction - Algos Gone Wild: Stocks Pump-And-Dump, Silver Halted, Bonds Whiplashed
Treasury yields were leaking higher into the print then collapsed on the headlines. Stocks smashed higher on the 'good' news of a lower unemployment rate then read the details and have plunged. Silver prices smashed higher, futures were halted, then tumbled back. Total and utter chaos in the liquid markets...
Markets went nuts...
Treasury yields wrong footed into the print
Stocks pumped and dumped...
The dollar is going crazy...
Silver surged
Silver was halted on that surge...

Of course silver was halted. Can't have that reflect true value.
Halted on a 6700 contract trade in the futures market... Efficient!
Only halted on the way up, bitchez
ALL NORMAL .....now move along sheep
Premiums on phyzz are rising, if you can even find the stuff...
REVERSAL next week. I can feel it. The mf's will start a rotation from equities to PMs and Energy. Just watch. Loaded up on cheap SPY puts from all those smart-asses loading up on VXX short to their necks. This will be a shearing for the history books, chapter 1 being the epic takedown of VXX and VIX shorts. The same feedback loop of shorting vol and loading up on indexes and momo will reverse with a savage avalanche of the indexes, as the smarties pile on PMs, energy and energy equities.
BTW, has anyone noticed how the indexes stay pristine, but every mf'g stock I own has been bludgeoned. I've accepted I'm a dolt for individual stock-picking, but it's almost like they have a freaking algo that goes around assassinating individual names but preserving the index. If they cycle through carefully enough, they can dump sectors and names individually or in groups while people are feeling comfy that vol is low. Maybe my puts won't work. Hell, at least they're cheap.
Please let them keep silver fixed for another month! I still have empty pockets to fill!
funny how the halts in silver never seem to happen when it goes to free-fall in the middle of the night...
Yeah, that is hysterical
Just remember this market is free market capitalism and there is no manipulation going on in it whatsoever. /sarc
And don't forget, the Market will fix it.
Of course, that depends on which definition of "fix" you're using.
I hope they smash the Silver price down to $9 because that means I am paying a lot less while I load up on the sale...
Take the price down all day, I care not.
That is true. How can you lose? After all, silver is REAL money.
Good luck finding ANY phyzz if it went down that low.
Even if you found phyzz, the premiums would probably be 3x spot.....at least.
Local coin store: $15.67
Got maples today for $19.17 and ASE for 19.92.
A big thank you to the fraud that is the cartel and the COMEX. :)
That is what the Banksters do not understand.
Their market is smashed. We know it.
Yet many of the lumpkin do not know it.
And when the lumpkin finally awaken.
We will have the metal.
And they will be without.
Those without it will not be eating.
Prepare for two weeks of chaos while they die of starvation and we die from their bullets.
The media will paint us as the ones who caused it.
The banksters have bought and paid for the media after all.
We must ACT BEFORE THAT HAPPENS.
The best defense is a good offense.
Hang the Banksters.
Double post
Double post.
BUY, no SELL, no BUY, no no no SELL
Woteva, its free money Bitchezz!!
Is this how they keep us from buying silver?
I've never seen anyone stopping me from buying a few oz silver coins at the shop ever.
The guys who do have a problem typically wait for you outside.
they!!!!
.. live!!!
Well, they did talk about capping silver/gold at 1%/day, sooooo....
Silver "surged" from 15.43 to 15.50? OK then.
the surge is working
actually it was 15.33 to 15.88... 3.26% in less than a second. yes, that qualifies as a surge.
In the olden days that would be called a "gap up".
But now they measure the transactions in nanoseconds.
The gap ups and gap downs were crazy leading up to the January, 1980 peaks in both Gold and Silver.
This is just a taste of what is to come.
Efficiency at its finest.
Silver surged a few pennies.....QUICK! HALT THAT SHIT!
Sometimes I think, they do these kind of stunts (or merely report) just to punk some zealots and then have lulz reading comments on the message boards on the internetz.
We only did it for the lulz.
It's almost like "they" target short positions in equities and long positions in PMs.
(I think there's one word that makes my statement false so...)
"Almost"? Is that the word?
Fed's print to keep rates low at all costs. The Federal Reserve roach motel. Cannot raise rates even with inflation at double digits until forced to at some point as the dollar starts falling.
Japan blows up first. Their doing QE to infinity.
The strongest currency on the planet is the one they have printed the fastest...why stop now?
Fair and open price discovery at its finest...
FUBAR.
I think many would appreciate and it would help educate the masses if it were clarified that these trades are not in actual silver, but "silver futures with a cash settlement option". It kind of makes a difference and it's a totally different asset.
'The masses' don't care about the details, they just wanna know how much their Candy Crush stawk went up today.
The problem is that it's the paper market that determines the physical price. So, as far as the "masses" are concerned, it's a distinction without a difference. As far as the rest of us are concerned; back up the truck baby.
Turning point coming?

Right when everyone and their uncle has gone full bulltard it would make sense.
Forget arresting. Hang them.
I have a pitch fork and some rope.....just saying.
Biz Break: Symantec plots layoffs while splitting company in half - San Jose Mercury News
The economy is so strong that Symantec is letting go 2000 employees...
I thought that was efficiency at work. I guess all that's left to do now is put the remaining work force on a 30 hour week.
That should slow the rate of computer virus creation.
Just buy back shares with cheap money and everything looks better. Cook the books and turn losses into gains.
TGIF! chain smoke blunts.
Oh...It is an Epsilon needing the Soma...
That is understandable.
It is a Brave New World after all.
Freakin hilarious! Down 70% no halt, up 3% ahhhhhh the BIS is is losing on 60 years supply of silver.
CFTC and SEC get a kick back. All in days work. Glad its the weekend!
I musta missed the %70 percent haltless drop.....
It's simple. They want the simple-minded silver owners to nervously dump their silver they bought for $24.00 so they can pick it up at $15.00. After that, it goes to $110.00 when they slam the wall with their paper race car.
d
Where's Fauxcohontas on this, thought she was there to protect us lil' guys.....
Would I be correct to state in layman's terms that this global market looks like a piggy bank that the elites are frantically shaking trying to get the last bit of coins out of?
Can't let the FRAUD price of silver rise and can't stop the physical, by way of FRAUD from rising any longer.
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.

I hope they paint the cattle cars silver...
The silver manipulators are actually making the Treasury and their silver blank suppliers go into the futures market and stand for delivery -- just to find any physical silver! Kind of defeats the purpose of shorting futures....
As bad as business is i am trying to keep my hoard these assholes are killing me but ....
Looks like a bottom in silver is in for now. Time to pickup another 100oz of phyz today!
When I need my silver none of this shit will matter anymore anyway.
Just the big boys trying to shake a little supply out of the weak hands.
Maybe this is tin-foil-hat thinking on my part, but it seems to me that mines cannot continue to produce at these prices for very long. So, me thinketh that perhaps the .Gov plans on driving these mines out of business (via manipulation by JPM et al) and then declare an emergency whereby they nationalize all the mines in the name of national security. Crazy, huh??
