Thus 1965-1970 Half Dollars have a Precious Metal Premium.
Any Half Dollar struck from 1841 to 1964 are .900 fine. (Actually this applies to 3 Cent pieces, Half Dimes, Dimes, Twenty Cent Pieces, Quarter Dollars, and Silver Dollars also.)
Before 1841 all US Silver Coinage was .835 Fine Silver.
