For us grown adult American voters, here's my dissection of Obama's & Gruber's deception from another thread (as always Banzai, pardon my consumption of your digital space):
"Shortly after Obamacare architect and MIT Professor Jonathan Gruber was severely criticized by South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy, a new video has surfaced that shows Gruber admitting that Obama knew it was going to be a problem, and they all agreed to lie about it, the Gateway Pundit reported on Thursday. Gruber was interviewed by Frontline on June 13, 2012, in which he admitted that Obama was present in a meeting in the Oval Office along with several experts. They, along with Gruber worked to figure out a way to get credible savings on cost control that the Congressional Budget Office would recognize and score as savings in this law, in order to get it passed based on lies.
In the interview, Gruber said, “The next time I see him (Edit, he's talking about Obama, in 2009) is summer 2009. The big issue there is that he really wants to make sure I’m moving forward on cost control. I think that at this point, he sort of knew we had a good plan on coverage, but he was worried on cost control. So we had a meeting in the Oval Office with several experts, including myself, on what can we do to get credible savings on cost control that the Congressional Budget Office would recognize and score as savings in this law.”
“And that was a meeting… it was very exciting, once again, because the economists in the room all said the number one thing you need to do is you need to take on the tax subsidy (Edit, here my friends, our crony-socialist MIT professor is calling untaxed income you never pocket, paid out immediately for health insurance, a government subsidy...it REALLY IS how they think...as he explains below) to employer-sponsored insurance, “said Gruber. “We need one minute of background on this. The way employer-sponsored insurance works is, if you get paid in wages, you get taxed. If you get paid in health insurance, you do not.”
This can't be pounded on enough, crony-socialists and progressives in general think all private wages and BENEFITS are taxable. Think of the absurdity of this, taxing the benefits of the poor and infirmed are not? Well, why not?
“So this tax subsidy (Edit, I reject the premise out of hand as stated above) economists have been railing against for decades, it’s super-expensive,” Gruber said. “We forgo about $250 billion per year in tax revenues. It’s regressive — the richer you are, the bigger tax break you get. And it’s inefficient because it causes people to buy excessive health insurance. So everyone in the room said, “You want something that is real cost control that we know it will work, go after this.”
The long and short of it is, Obama was in on it at the ground floor and he purposely lied to the American people about what ObamaCare is.
Joe-the-Plumber has now been vindicated...and do read down to Robert Reich's quote:
“If you're very old, we're not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you… maybe going for another couple of months. It's too expensive...so we're going to let you die.”

You do recall those days don't you where senators and representatives would get mercilous grilled and shouted down at their town hall meetings? The phone lines melted down, the email servers ground to a halt with a resounding NO. It didn't matter. The Dems crammed that thing down with a little hat tip to Sen. Snowe from Maine allowing the bill out of committee. Much like the Federal Reserve Act. The disaster of the Bush presidency, the tidal wave of Democrats taking over Congress and the Presidency, and the September bail outs of the financial system crushed what remained. It is done. Goldman Sachs owns us.
