The only reason why Russia doesn't have any debt is because they default on it. USA did not have the kind of debts they have until China came around. Trust me China will go through the same problem the USA did. Without oil Russia will go to shit, and without cheap labor China will follow the same path as the USA.
It's no secret China needs a lot of oil. They have none of their own, tried to buy Unocal from the US, bid on all the Iraqi oil fields, and now they are playing Russia for their oil. Putin is just a pawn in their game.

At first glance, Putin apppears to be being shunned... After extensive thought, and Putin's general proclivity to rise above the "playground politics" of the west, I'd say he was standing exactly where he wanted to be pictured.
It's utterly disgraceful how Putin was treated by virtually all of the "western" participants at the G-20 meeting in Australia. Something tells me that Putin is not the type of person that quickly forgets a slight of this magnitude either.

There was no real risk with property taxes in northern Michigan at that time. They did not bother you until the last couple months or so threatening to sell your property at auction on the 36th month. Our plan if no change resulted was wage a financial war of attrition 3 years at a time to starve the town and county we as I said did have fairy effective results after the first three years.
I assume that with bigger budgets and militarized police being quite high this would have exponential effects now, which would likely have more catastrophic results for all involved.
With that said where there is no trauma there is no change.

Russia needs an oil price better than $100 just to break even, which means for every barrel they make now, they LOSE more than 1000 Roubles. At 10 million barrels per day, that's a simple hemmoraging of TEN BILLION ROUBLES PER DAY (really "only" SIX BILLION ROUBLES PER DAY ssince that's thier export. Sure they use plenty domestically, but what a fuckin' way to run a business!

The dollar will lose some ground in the next few months but it is in a long-term bull market that will see it rise significantly for several more years. Why? Most of the world's historically huge debt is denominated in dollars. As global deflation begins to take hold, people, companies and even governments will scramble to pay down debts and increase their savings.
