Mobilize home nation by showing media footage of horrible humanitarian crisis in other nation.
Approach NATO or UN with proof of other nation having the audacity to have a ministry of defence and civilians living in civilian areas.
Get the OK to bomb.
Seize gold.
Install puppet .gov
Control nations resources.
Visit troops with "mission accomplished" sign.
Claim "democracy".
Get Nobel prize.
Go back and visit all 57 states with mom and pop holding up flags.

Most will interpret this story from a moral point of view. That is what they want, need, us to do--divide and conquer.

However, ALL government actions are driven by money and power. It does appear to be endless, but it seems inaccurate to call it war in a historical context. The ratio of total civilian deaths/U.S. soldier deaths combined with a U.S. soldier mortality rate of about 2 per day does not correlate well with historical conflicts that are labeled as wars. Putting aside politics, economics, and ideology, on a statistical basis it looks more like imperialism than warfare.
