Gruber is not too smart because a really smart person would have kept his mouth shut and just smiled when asked a question.
He may have an inferiority complex, wanting everyone to know how he helped pull one over on the american voters and was paid 1.6 mil to do so. (Just an observation- I'd probably do the same thing).

Making people think they are getting something for free, or making them think they are getting away with something, are among the oldest con tricks in the book.
Mr. Gruber is a pretty good strategist- he estimated the general voting population's intelligence well, and learn of the CBO rating parameters in order to get them to score ObamaCare favorably. Not that I agree with ObamaCare, but clearly this fellow attained the desired outcome and was subsequently paid well for it.
As I watch the pigs fly, I would like to see the administration admit and concede that THAT was their plan. It's the lying, obfuscation, red herrings and all that that gives cause for my distaste of the current administration.
The correct honorific for a guy like Gruber is Cunt. He may be providing entertainment by embarrassing the administration, but his entire crowing attitude towards defrauding the public and apparently thinking he'll get away with it makes him a dangerous criminal of the worst kind. The kind with two passports and a sense of entitlement etched on his brain.
I think the correct honorific is target.
I think the first step the Repubs need to do this January is to have the CBO re-score the ACA based on what is known today. Then they can have a revote on ACA and see if the Dems will still support it with the new numbers.

Yeah Gruber as an advisor was the one who crafted the benefit tiers, defined the benefit packages, established the reinsurance provisions, etc.
If you really believe that you have no idea how basic legislature is crafted (say even fail basic civics) and you have a ridiculously simplistic understanding of how bills like this are passed including the reconcilation process. AHIP and AHA had more of an impact than Gruber but keep ranting away.
