America Throws Up Over Obama's Immigration Executive Action Even Before It Is Announced

Tyler Durden's picture

Ahead of President Obama's address to the nation tomorrow to dictate his executive orders on immigration, potentially allowing millions of undocumented immigrants to stay legally in the US, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds nearly half of Americans disapprove of his plan. Only a dismal 38% support the President taking this executive action... which makes us wonder if there has ever been so much revulsion at the policies of a standing President. It's good to be king.

As NBC News reports,

Forty-eight percent oppose Obama taking executive action on immigration -- which could come as soon as later this week -- while 38 percent support it; another 14 percent have no opinion or are unsure.

...

Not surprisingly, these numbers largely break along partisan lines: 63 percent of Democrats approve of Obama taking executive action here, versus just 11 percent of Republicans and 37 percent of independents.

Latinos are divided, with 43 percent supporting the action and 37 percent opposing it.

Just Sayn'.  I don't get it. Historical Fact: Papa Bush loved cheap labor, most of Texas was built on it. California, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona all use cheap Mexican labor to do farm work. Pick Veggies.

Anyway, Baby Bush did nothing about our borders. Bambi has deported more immigrants than any other president. So what am I missing. Is it just because he's half black ? Weally, ugh.

I hate to break it to you guys, but the R's want this done, too.  They're just pissed that Obama is doing it on his own instead of "working with the Republicans" on an immigration bill.  That's the ONLY thing they're upset over.

Just listened to one of PA's Representatives (my state), an Republican, allegedly a "conservative".  It was shocking.  He wanted this immigration thing done SO bad you could hear it in his voice, arguing with his own constituents on the radio.  "But you don't understand.... but you don't understand...."  Over and over.

We are well and truly fucked on this.  Open borders, amnesty and hand-outs to everyone who makes it across the border forever, as far as the eye can see.  They don't give a flying fuck about us.  Either side.

Wed, 11/19/2014 - 14:56 | 5466262 ejmoosa

Of course the Republicans want it.  You know why?

It's their last ditch effort to stimulate the economy out of ongoing recession.

There are 3,000 new students that are illegals in Houston schools.  At a cost of 8,000 dollars a  year for education that equals $24 million in new spending.

http://www.breitbart.com/texas/2014/11/18/exclusive-3000-unaccompanied-m...

And for govennment thugs every new dollar in spending is stimulus to boost the economy.

Multiply that across the nation and you can see just how important it is to them.

We are a consumption based economy.  And you and I are not consuming according to their desires.

So we get this.

yes, "of course the Republicans want this" - the only "borders" are in your minds, and the Bush crime family has known/supported this for over a century now. . .

Jeb Bush is ushering in the return of the compassionate conservative. Addressing an event where his father, former President George H.W. Bush, was being honored, Jeb said that immigrants who come to this country illegally do so as an “act of love” to put food on the table for their families.

Religious leaders, business and law enforcement officials have long supported an important coalition of “Bible, Badges and Bullets” that seeks meaningful immigration reform. According to a CBS News poll conducted in July 2013, 75 percent of Evangelicals interviewed expressed support for immigration reform that includes a path toward earned citizenship and stricter border control.

and Jeb Bush has a son who claims "Hispanic" - wot a surprise, hmm.  from "Faux News LATINO" :

George P. Bush, Jeb Bush's 37-year-old son who is a grandson of one former president and nephew of another, is launching his political career by running for Texas' little-known but powerful land commissioner post.

But rather than campaigning on the mainstream Republicanism embodied by the family name, Bush says he's "a movement conservative" more in line with the tea party.

legacy voters will no doubt lap this up - voting in the spawn of old heroes is all the rage now. . .

Correct.

Anyone who thinks otherwise merely needs to look at the GOP's brilliant success in securing the border, deporting all illegals and prosecuting all employers who hired illegals during the 6-years they held the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives between 2001 and 2007...

It's quite simple really:

Democrats want voters

Republicans want cheap labor

I hate to agree with you but I can see why both sides want this so badly for several reasons.

One is for the cheap labor to fill low wage jobs Americans refuse to work

Another is these illegals probably won't be the ones rioting when the SHTF soon

Boosting troop strength may be another reason.

And so you're correct saying "they give a flying fuck about us" cause they don't have to when we can be replaced by illegals.

Of course the irony of the above is this amnesty may be what triggers the SHTF !

3) US/Canada/Central America are establishing an AMERICO, much like the EU.

5) There are many, many ex-patriots living all over Central America. Retirees' and such.

6) The CIA needs to recruit natives from Central America.  We do not like the idea of China building another canal.

@dontgoforit- McConnell already took impeachment off the table.  Ditto de-funding Obama's initiatives.  There's not much left for Congress to do besides throw harsh language at the guy.

I'm twice as pissed off at the Rs as I ever was at Obama and the Ds.  You know what a guy like Obama and the Democrat party is going for- it would be like getting angy at a dog for barking.  But the Rs aren't even an opposition party to the Ds.  In fact, they LOVE what Obama is doing.  He's doing the dirty work for them that they could never sell to their own base.  They always wanted amnesty.  They always wanted nationalized healthcare.  They wanted ALL of it but they couldn't support it openly.  Now Obama does everything by EO and what do Republicans do, despite being handed a commanding majority in both houses the last election?  Nothing.  Not even the slightest action in protest (words yes, actions no).

When you hear people on ZH talking about the false R/D or Left/Righ paradigm, this is a classic contemporary example of it in action.

Fuck both parties.  Fuck all of them.  There's not a single damned one of them that stands up for middle class America.

to which i answer: "i didn't realize he was the benchmark you guys used for success"

ever notice how everything obama does that liberals really may not be in-favor of always come back to "well bush did that too!" i thought they wanted to be as far away from him as humanly possible, not using his name in the same sentance, breathe, comparison, etc.

IMO really nothings changed the last 6 years V the 8 years that preceded it:

1. both guys screwed up healthcare worse than it was
2. both guys over threw a leader in the middle east that ISIS has now infiltrated (bush with hussein in iraq, obama now with gaddofit in libya - ISIS just started taking over territory in libya)
3. both believe in keynsian economics (bush with the appointment of bernanke, obama with the extending of bernanke's contract)

Presidents have been using EO's to expand power since the first executive order. George Washington did it first while congress was out of session ordering the prosecution of anyone from the us interfering with the war between the UK and France.

Unsurprisingly the highest number of orders goes to the most dictatorial presidents, Roosevelt being the winner by a wide, wide margin.

Surprisingly, O has issued very few, but that's because most of the heavy lifting had already been done for him. Of course the over-reach of his EOs may be record-setting.

Obama from his book "The Audacity of Hope":

“The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century,” Obama noted. “If this huge influx of mostly low-skill workers provides some benefits to the economy as a whole—especially by keeping our workforce young, in contrast to an increasingly geriatric Europe and Japan—it also threatens to depress further the wages of blue-collar Americans and put strains on an already overburdened safety net.”

Bush family dynasty says,

George P. Bush, Jeb Bush’s son and Republican candidate for Texas land commissioner, said that in-state tuition for illegal immigrants is just a “nominal” cost to taxpayers.

Speaking at The Texas Tribune Festival on Friday evening, Bush said that until someone can present a “sensible alternative” to the Texas’s version of DREAM Act, he would support the the law that Texas Governor Rick Perry signed in 2001.

Bush said in-state tuition for illegal immigrants is just “a nominal cost from an economic perspective” for the state of Texas.

I personally don't believe in "hate" crime laws, but have no problem with people advocating for laws or action against racist or anti-Semitic crimes of violence.  I am completely against laws abridging speech, including laws prohibiting denying or even questioning only one single historical event - even if I personally don't agree with their ultimate conclusion.  You should be able to challenge historical orthodoxy, even when it pertains to SAcred and Unique Jewish Suffering which, lets face it, is largely what allows Israel to commit naked war crimes and apartheid, cry 'Anti-Semite,' and get away with it.  That, and wildly disproportionate Jewish and Zionist media, financial, and therefore political power.  'Zionists' are certainly less than 1/3 of the US population, perhaps less than 20%.

the magic underwear comes with secret temple rituals, admittedly founded in Freemasonry, of which J. Smith was immediately promoted to 33dg status, whereupon he started "channeling" all kinds of doctrines,

This doctrine of endowment evolved through the 1830s, until in 1842, the Nauvoo endowment included an elaborate ceremony containing elements similar to Freemasonry and the Jewish tradition of Kabbalah.

"Whites" will still be the largest "plurality" in North America for quite sometime. However, if you meant to say "white non-Jewish men" will account for less than 20%, you would be right on the mark.

The there has been a wildly disproportionate Jewish character to our nation's elites since at least 1993. That wild disproportion has just been getting more and more disproportionate ever since. Unless and until the American people come to the realization that there is a "moral imperative" to be an anti-semite, this process cannot be reversed.

Zionism -the ideology that unites all Jews from every sect of their religion, and secular with religious- is the Jewish version of Fascism. Instead of Deutschland uber alles, it is Juden uber alles. Instead of "greater Germany", there is "greater Israel". Instead of a revulsion toward jews, it is a revulsion toward Palestinians. Instead of concentration camps and ghettos in which Jews were incarcerated, there is Gaza and the confinements of Palestinians to ever-shrinking ever more restricted villages. And the leading political as well as religious leaders of the Jews are working hard on their own "final solution" for the Palestinians. The Wall of Separation in Palestine is 5 times as long and 3 times as high as the Berlin Wall in Germany.

There is more; but the point has been made. America can learn to despise and reject Zionism as it has learned to do the same regarding Facism, racism, and slavery; but there will be great pain, personal sacrifice and suffering put upon those who try to teach this to us, before it will happen. But we can all start by accepting the the charge made by almost every Jew: that criticism of israel and Zioinism is tuly anti-semitic at its core. Because Judaism is Zionism and its ethno-supremicist mythology is the foundation for the Zionist ideology. So, embrace it! If anti-zionism = anti-semitism, then it should be both politically correct and morally responsible to be an anti-semite.

Cromwell [largely financed by Jews] forced the Gaels 'to Hell or Connacht.'

Likud/Shas will force the Palestinians into Sinai or Jordan or both - and claim that all of the land is the "Jewish Homeland" though there is absolutely, positively zero proof of a Hebrew or Jewish state ever controlling all that land, Jews have never lived by themselves in Canaan, the Arab Palestinians are unquestionably the most direct descendents of past residents, even into the thousands of years, and notwitstanding the fact that Jews have lived in large numbers, outside Israel, for 2500 years.

They claim a right to live anywhere, but an exclusive right to live on land only some of which was ever controlled by people to whom they are distantly related, if at all.

In 300 BCE there were likely more Jews in Alexandria than in Jerusalem. On the other hand, Egypt controlled Canaan for centuries longer than the Hebrews ever did - including during the time "The Exodus"  [now a movie with blue-eyed Hebrews and eeeeevil brown Egyptians] was supposed to have happened.  Apparently, the scribes who wrote down the myth didn't realize they had poor Israelites escaping Pharoah by heading through and into territory garrisoned heavily by Pharaoh.

Yup. Discussed in yesterday's thread. Go Galt, or at least semi-Galt. No one will blame you.

The upside to all this is I really don't think they can get much more out of the earners before it collapses. When the economy imploded at the end of 2008, we actually saw net negative immigration to mexico and south america (e.g. illegals headed back home.) Amnesty could very well be moot after the next collapse (assuming, as I do, that there is no recovery, real or imagined, after that.)

Plus once the idea gets out that handouts may be limited and illegals are reducing everyone else's share of the dole... the political tide might shift just a bit.

The most amazing thing to me about this blanket amnesty of obviously Hispanics is this:

Blacks will become completely politically insignificant once this happens.  Democrats simply will have no use for them.  It's already getting to that point.

In my experience (and I lived in many multicultural areas), the most ardent racism exists between Hispanics and Blacks.......not Whites.

The media does not portray this much. They much rather prefer the Whitey as racist meme. I get it.

But if you lived out west or in Texas, or certain inner cities, you saw this time and again.

Hispanics move in....Blacks move out.

There have been many stories of horrible racism reported, but they never seem to stay in the news more than an hour.  Contrast that with Ferguson, Trayvon, etc.

And south of the border, I need not tell you of the vicious, overt discrimination that exists against Blacks all over Latin America.

I am somewhat surprised there is not more of an outcry from Blacks about this.

Then again, with leaders like Jesse and Al......

Are you kidding me!!? The real question should be: Should the president be allowed to keep immigrants here illegally under a program on which the Congress did not agree?

But then again, Pew Research does not engage in research; it engages in advocacy.

For instance, “The year 1993 saw the birth of a crusade for ‘better’ journalism with the opening of the Pew Center for Civic Journalism. (See Foundation Watch, August 1996.) This project, administered by the far-left Tides Center (Soros) sought to color the way journalists work: ‘At its heart is a belief that journalism has an obligation to public life – an obligation that goes beyond just telling the news or unloading lots of facts. The way we do our journalism affects the way public life goes.’

“Even many observers on the left were embarrassed by this scheme to in fluence politics (a.k.a.’public life’) by giving mainstream media outlets money and other assistance in order to shape their coverage. And no wonder: Any form of paying for stories violates a fundamental norm of old-fashioned (pre-civic?) journalism.” – Scott Walker, Pew and the Gang Rides Again

http://capitalresearch.org/pubs/pdf/v1301672708.pdf

To top it off, the Pew CEO is a crusading, left-wing advocate.

DiscoverTheNetworks.org:

CEO Rebecca W.Rimel

Born in 1951, Rebecca W. Rimel is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of the Pew Charitable Trusts (PCT). She began her tenure with Pew in 1983 as its Health Program manager. Five years later she became Executive Director and thereafter ascended to her current position when her mentor, neurosurgeon Thomas W. Langfitt, retired in 1994. It was Langfitt who, in the late 1980s, changed the cultural and political direction of the foundation by transforming a wealthy but old-fashioned family philanthropy into his vision of a modern-day leftist foundation. Thus the originally publicity-shy, modestly religious, and staunchly rightwing PCT became an organization characterized by self-promoting corporate liberalism. Rebecca Rimel has carried on this political changeover with zeal…

Rimel is a self-described 1960s leftist who once said, "If we could re-infuse the idealism of the Sixties into our work, there [would be] nothing this country couldn't do." She is known in philanthropic circles as a controlling individual who wants prospective grantees to demonstrate their solidarity with Pew's leftwing ideals before she will consider giving money to them. The Tides Foundation and Tides Center are among her favorite grantees.

Rimel states that her major objective is to see her PCT projects make a social impact; financial profitability is only a secondary concern….

Under Rimel's stewardship, fully 80 percent of PCT’s funding goes to pubic-policy initiatives related to the environment, health and human services, and state policy issues....

To alter that perception [on "global warming], Rimel and PCT focused their efforts on funding the work of scientists whose research might ultimately persuade legislators and business leaders to support initiatives aimed at stemming the tide of global warming.

Who are those 38% that support an amnesty via exeuctive action you ask? Why they are the leftists, the liberals, the progressives in this country! The title of this article is wrong - America didn't throw up on this issue, America is divided, it's just another "wedge issue".

More & more I'm coming to the opinion that if Obama were to somehow abolish congress and rule as a dictator his support for even a radical move like that would be close to 38%!

The liberals love him. The FSA loves him. Most of the MSM love him. I could go on & on. No matter what Obama does, he will always have that support.

Exactly, Yen. They lie because it benefits them to lie. The pollsters are the Establishment, part of the ruling elite. Some, like the socialist Pew Research pollsters, have so disgraced themselves that any news outlets that use their reports bear responsibility for the lies.

As you know the Establishment pollsters use their reports to create a bandwagon effect that they hope will go in their direction. Using a figure such as 48% opposition obviously is designed to shave off the edge of the opposition.

You’re absolutely right that the opposition to this unconstitutional move is much stronger than depicted here and it’s important to keep in mind that more important than the percentage of the opposition to Obama’s move is the rage and conviction of Americans who call for aggressive action to stop this pillaging of America and Americans’ property.

If it takes shutting down the government to save this last vestige of citizenship rights, then actions including stopping all the check writing from the House of Representatives are warranted. And if the welfare police state Chuck Schumers don’t like the shutdown, then let them vote to overturn the executive order to keep the government operating. If Obama persists, the Republicans should shut down the government and go home. And if and when the Democrats decide to help overturn the executive order, they can give them a call.

First, they are a very important "canary," as the effects of the banksters and their governmnet puppets show up in their community first. Giving the rest of us a heads up on what is coming.

Second, one can see what they are planning for the rest of us, as the powers to be practice on them. I.e. what we saw at Ferguson, is what they have in store for the rest of us.

Third, If--when--they march on the rest of America, they will find out how angry we are, and how much better we shoot. I'm not worried.

Fourth, and most importantly, this is what the elites want us doing, "divide and conquer." No, my animosity is reserved for those that created this shit storm, not other victims of it.
