Natives/Indians were much more likely/willing to run away, than black slaves, displaced 1000s of miles, and in unfamiliar territory.
They also weren't as physically strong, and didn't have experience with cattle/horses that black Africans did in fact have.

Sugar.
Sugar production was always very labor intensive - too much so to make a profit without slaves - and sugar climates are (mostly) malaria climates - so black slaves.
So the history of worker slavery (as opposed to servant slavery) tends to also be the history of sugar production.
As sugar came from India originally the first slave-based sugar plantations were started in East Africa (around Ethiopia) by merchants from Arabia (Yemen). From there it eventually spread to Ancient Egypt (also mainly using black slaves) then further north to Cyprus (which used white slaves from the Ukraine) and west along the Med. to the islands along the Atlantic coast then finally to the southern US.
Sugar and slavery go together and usually but not always the ideal sugar climate was also malaria climate hence black slaves (except in a very few places that were warm enough but not malarial in which case they mostly used white slave.)
I don't know anythng about jewish slavers but as I understand it, plantation owners attempted to at first hire, and when that failed, enslave native americans to work the fields. It was tough hot work and they simply just ran off. The difference I believe was that slavery had been practiced in Africa for many generations and was in some ways accepted or tolerated. When they brought Africans to America they didn't run off in any substantial numbers. They kept them dependent and ignorant to maintain their control. It wasn't till abolishonists got involved and started pushing the idea of freedom that things went bad for them. My sense of it is that many Africans would glady surrender their freedom to slavery today if it would provide food and shelter. Ultimately we can all go pretty cheaply, especially if we have come to expect little else. We are still witnessing a substantial portion of our society that is very pleased to see these people dependent, and if they must let some innocent property owners be destroyed for it to be maintained, so be it. Bread and circuses exists on many levels. Distraction to divert attention from the vulnerability of dependency, the fragility of our loss of freedom.
We are all being used. Most of us have jobs being paid for being used while other sit at home watching TV or burning cars while waiting for their EBT to be replenished. These people are fighting to stay exactly where they are. They do not want jobs or a "better" life, they simply want to stay on the same path.
Problem is that the black community is monolithic in its support of the modern slavery system.
More important even than liberty vs. slavery is truth vs. lies. They are telling lies, and screaming for the blood of a cop who did the right thing in killing the MAN who was bum rushing him. Despite being a police officer and thus a tool of the slavers, he is also a human being who has a right to self defense.

Since this is viewed as a black issue it is taken that any action by that community is wrong and the police and justice system is trustworthy and supported for strict police authority is given on here.
My take, the guy stole a little bit of stuff but it was not even a real robbery and he had no weapon. He grabbed the storekeeper by the throat and pushed him back but did not even push him down. And then he walked out.
All of that warrents an arrest and conviction.
The story of the police was inconsistent and I did not find it believeable. I do not see this guy going after an armed cop and no way do I see him going for his gun. He did not even punch the store owner.
But since he was black and he did a minor crime those on ZH will cheer the cops to shoot another, without even considering their race is getting the same treatment more and more often. They do not care about injustice if it is directed elsewhere, it just should not be directed towards them, see, they are exceptional.
The blacks are an acceptable target for tyranny to them, principals be damed. I thnk it is fine to be critical of the black community, condemn black on white crime and hate, lethal self defense and to hold indivicuals accountable. But violation of rights and murderous cops is not acceptable.
What they forget is that their percentage makeup of the US is decreasing, the elite has taken much of the power their demographic once held and tyranny is blowing their direction. They will get what they joke about hapjpening to others.
Are the protestors doing anything effective. I do not think so. They could, but I will not even post those actions. But if they were a core group within the community who believed in the cause it would be very easy to put fear in the heart of the cops.

One thing I know for certain. It is very easy for a prosecutor to throw any case he does not want to prosecute or win. And by cheering when it is done to others just results in a corrupt system that does the same to you or yours.

I watched the whole thing through various live streams last night. All I saw burn were some cars and a few businesses. No residences. They burned an Auto Zone, used cars at a dealership, a strip mall, a BBQ joint (that one surprised me, lol) and a public storage, those I know for sure. Businesses that had something they wanted to loot (liquor store, food store, toys r us) didnt burn.
Basically, they did some xmas shopping, grabbed a bite to eat and a few 40 oz. and headed home for the night.
Who cares...markets are green.
