Here’s a question that might have you pondering: Is gold a commodity? More importantly, are we doing a disservice to the gold industry by calling gold a commodity? These may sound like silly...

Something Appears To Be Going On With Gold

Tyler Durden's picture

Something appears to be happening to gold. That something is either China finally revealing its true gold inventory, which is unlikely, or, more likely, the biggest fat finger in the history of gold, as a liquidity testing algo goes absolutely insane in the pre-open period (and loses its job on the BIS' payroll). Or, most likely, just an ongoing bad print.

... and the algo, or the bad feed, or whatever, keeps going. $1400 now.

And... CTRL-Z. The liquidity test is complete as electronic market reopens for trading.

And for those curious to find out what happened, speak to the programmer of whatever the liquidity test was that moved gold higher by $0.10 every second in 1 contract in a diagonal fashion.

NoOne except 99% - bitcoin dudes on ZH.  You are being played; they pimp physical while trading ETF's as the price moves up to their sweet spot, sell and then rinse and repeat when the yellow metal tanks.  Each time, ZHer's WTF happened?  I just lost my hat...  I bought in a 1700, I bought in at 1900 please tell me what happened?? comments start appearing.  After that Faber and Turd get shout downs on here but the game goes on.

Well, for one, we can all rest assured that there is no manipulation of prices, as that would be impossible.

Global debt markets at $230 trillion and increasing.

Central bankers printing money with a wild look in their eyes.

All the gold ever mined is worth ~$7 trillion with a small fraction of that available to market.

Paper market in London with an estimated open interest of ~ 500 million oz. (3x daily gross trading volume) and levered 100:1 paper to physical gold.

You do the math.

“James, as you know French leader Marine Le Pen has sent a letter to the French central bank demanding the repatriation of French gold held abroad as well as an end to gold sales.  It’s astonishing this happened so quickly because just days ago you predicted other countries would follow the Dutch repatriation:

I haven't yet seen this story posted on ZH. Some may state that this is a fringe blog, but nonetheless, it appears that the French might be moving due to the Dutch actions.

If it is true, the Domino effect may soon be seen.

On The Daily Paul:

Goldseek's link:

Gold Chart Error: Concerning the price spike, there was an issue with the data feed & live data is now correct.

I'd be looking into verification of Le Pen's French central bank 'request'. If you find it, it might be helpful.

Smoking ditchweed out of the finest implements still makes one cough and puke and get headaches (so I am told).

Smoking a finer blend (like Cush, or North Redondo Hydroponic) through an emptied-out cigarette is far better than Mexican Seeded Brown through the finest Indian-made bong (so I am also told). If the buds are dark green with a tinge of purple, and stick to the bottom tip of your index finger when you touch them, and leave a taste on your finger that is sweet and earthy, then a good Glass Head Bong might be better than trying to roll it into a paper (someone told me once). If you happen to have a Glass Head resonating chamber pipe, try rolling one up and leaving the ends loose, and then smoking a baggie of ditchweed through the pipe with the 'cigarette' inside. the taste is far better, and the results when tasting the prize are spectacular (so I am told).

WTF is 'Cre'me De Menthe'? Is that a breath mint or something?

It works better if you have a Thai Stick (according to my confidential sources). Most people spell it 'TIE STICKS', because of the fishing line used to TIE the buds to the stick (before it is held over the opium [or whatever] vats to absorb the vapors), but the correct spelling is 'THAI STICKS'; because this practice was started in THAILAND and imported via CIA conduits to the CONUS during the Vietnam 'conflict' using soldiers and other methods. I read about it once in 'High Times' magazine, back in the 1980's (a freind of mine bought one [magazine] for me as a gift once, and I had to honor his thought [by reading the magazine, you know]).

What was that about 'something going on with Gold'? OH... that must be KONA GOLD...
