You might even agree with that opinion up to the point that progressives and NWO types infest both parties. It seems you have attached your wagon to the blue team. We will see how far you get when the next Congress convenes.
As for me, I see the blue team joining the red team to spread more democracy around the world, push corporate-sponsored, NAFTA-on-steroids "free" trade agreements on both sides of the oceans, and weaseling out of doing anything substantive about Obamacare and amnesty. Oh, yeah, the borders will not be secured either. I see no prosecution of criminal financiers, bureaucrats at the IRS (or any other alphabet agency), and no challenge against Obama's use of executive orders. I believe, in fact, that the blue team have already set their sights on Hillary and the 2016 election with the promise that a clean sweep of government will finally allow them to set America on a better path. We'll see how that works out in time.

The thing is, it is not the government which is being attacked, it is the American people. And the largest aggressor against the people is the government, itself. The first Thanksgiving was held after the Pilgrims had a successful harvest, you can spin it anyway you like, but that is the truth.
Now, while it is true that the Pilgrims were helped by the natives, (just the fact that the natives didn't kill them was a big help) the natives did see the benefit to helping the Pilgrims; the natives did appreciate the wonderous trinkets and beads the Pilgrims had.

Contrary to popular belief: the natives did commit acts of war against each other long before the white man appeared on the scene, but, much like today with African Americans, when the natives killed each other it didn't count.
