3 policemen dead in Russia’s Chechnya in shootout with militants
Three policemen have been killed while trying to apprehend a car full of alleged members of an illegal armed group in the city of Grozny, representative of law enforcement in Russia’s Republic of Chechnya told RIA Novosti. The incident happened as a police patrol unit tried to stop a suspicious car in the city center. Presumably three men inside the car opened fire, killing three officers. The suspected militants are now trapped inside the Press House in the city center, police are trying to neutralize them.
NATO is training and sending these militants to Russia via Afghanistan.

That said, Chechnya has been far far safer in recent 5 years than it has in its entire history. Back when my Great Grandfather was Cossack, Chechnya was still a muslim heckhole and Cossacks where stationed everywhere (Grozny was a Cossack City....Was is key word now. Didnt exist prior).

To be honest, this issue is very common in Daegestan and Ingushetia (Daegestan being worst) and Chechnya is now far more better than before. RIP to the dead officers. As for the militants, they wont face a very nice ending. I have heard horror stories how Chechen MVD deals with terrorists. Just think of an RPO on a building.

As these charts show, the ruble has not lost any value to the yen. And with weakness in the Euro, that is not as bad for the ruble either. The crisis of the ruble collapse is an invention of the White House, the Saudis, and Wall Street.
