Obama To Announce Ash Carter As New Defense Chief, Boast About November Jobs: Live Webcast
The ink isn't dry yet on the amazing midterm drubbing of the democrats over what most Americans said were deteriorating economic issues and a recovery that continues to only be there on BLS goalseeked paper, and lo and behold, here is Obama, about to boast about today's whopper of a jobs number, in which the BLS proudly reported the US hired some 321K workers in November, mostly temps, secretaries, retail and leisure workers and teachers. That, and the president is also expected to announce the choice of Ash Carter as the new Secretary of Defense.

To be honest, I have given serious contemplation to the same idea - what if Obama is some sort of replicant? I would say at this point, anything is on the table. Interesting day yesterday. I had lunch with a couple of old friends. Both are conservative/independent leaning and extremely successful money wise. One sees the economy crashing and we've talked about it. He says it's like a slow moving train wreck. The other has always defended the economy as being on the rebound and "turning the corner". Yesterday he AGREED that the economy was spiraling down and asked if he should buy gold and more guns/ammo. He was asking how bad we thought it might get in our area, etc. A total 180 from our conversation on the subject 5-6 months ago. He admitted that his reasoning behind the "hope" was that he didn't want to see his adult kids grow up collapsing America. I didn't ask what happened or caused his mind to change, but he had lost a couple of huge million dollar deals from cut backs and one very large company that declared bankruptcy. That deal cost him $250,000 out of his own pocket. Welcome to the new America.
