"Riddles" Surround 36th Dead Banker Of The Year

Tyler Durden's picture

52-year-old Belgian Geert Tack - a private banker for ING who managed portfolios for wealthy individuals - was described as 'impeccable', 'sporty', 'cared-for', and 'successful' and so as Vermist reports, after disappearing a month ago, the appearance of his body off the coast of Ostend is surrpunded by riddles...

Tack disappeared on November 5th...

Impeccable. Sporty. Cared for. Successful. Just some qualifications that are attributed to the 52-year-old from the Belgian Geert Tack Haaltert.

Geert Tack worked as a private banker for ING and managed portfolios of wealthy clients. The Belgian had a lot of respect in the financial world and was known as an up and top professional. His sudden disappearance was also smashed like a bomb. "If Tack himself was having trouble he has managed to keep it well hidden", say colleagues.

Nobody then could have guessed that the man would not return on Wednesday, November 5th to his wife in their villa Vondelen.

and was found dead this weekend off the coast of Ostend...

On December 3, the body was found on the coast of Ostend and removed from the water. The prosecutor confirmed today that it is Geert Tack, but it is still awaiting further results of the autopsy for the exact cause of death. The results of toxicological testing are not yet known.

The examiner states that the body showed no outward signs of violence.

As Vermist comments, he was well-liked and successful but the situation of his disappearance remain odd to say the least...

What makes the matter is that the extra mysterious circumstances under which he disappeared are rather peculiar. Tack had a few weeks earlier his car drove into each other and if the garage then take away a replacement car. Oddly enough, he made it much later, shortly before he disappeared, use. The car, a Renault Espace, has been found in Knokke, but Tack missing to date each track.

Also -  Why he had in the weeks before the disappearance sometimes so difficult to get to sleep? Why he did that Wednesday morning his laptop and cell phone at home?

Although a desperate act can not be excluded, there are also people who take into account that the missing part of a preconceived plan. From his position Tack had the opportunity to be there - whether or not forced by third parties - to run off with money from his clients. It is a hypothesis that being seriously investigated by the federal police, but where colleagues want to know anything.

"Something like that would never do," said one of them certainly. "Geert is a blameless man."

The question is are they really dead or are they doing what the Jewish bankers and media did in the late 1930's  and pretend to die and then go into hiding. This is just a question not ment to invoke any hatred.

Oh yeah.  A Dutch guy from ABN/AMRO and a Belgian guy from ING just happened to end up dead in the water about the same time.

Happens every day.    I guess nail guns are not a big seller in Flemish areas of Europe.   These are all hits.   Sad.

Two sets of data I wish we had -

1)  incidents of violent death, including suicide, for this age group and demographic, vs. bankers

2)   who profits.

Actually, I think I know the answer to the former, and all I want to know is the later.

Tack got slack about being wacked. Nothing to see here, and there is no riddle to solve IMHO. We have established a pattern, and number 36 comes as no surprise to anyone on Z/H. With days left to go to end the year we have established frequency as well. If we had a total of slimebucket banksters we could find the ratio of dead : living.

Banksters the worst vermin to crawl upon the face of the earth.

36 and counting. Plenty more to go till they get to Blankfein and Dimon. But they'll get there. Some nation will probably take out the ones on top of the filth pile. Hey if they are above the law then there is no law that is in the defense of their crimes. So let it be written so let it be done.

Hope I get to see one jumping on New Years Eve in Times Square. Oh man that'd be a great way to bring in the New Year.

So! We're sitting around listening to the psuedo-conspiratorial fingerpointing…

Well! Pull it together!

What is the common thread that all these guys had in common, that somebody would want them eliminated?

What did they all know and what was it about?

Otherwise, it's just statistics. Lots of doctors kill themselves, too. So do teachers. So do cops.

Bankster disappearances may be a result of banks now having to reveal which customers are Americans living abroad and therefore closing their accounts or turning private information into the tax authorities in their respective countries. Of couse the stated purpose of FATCA is to stop money laundering but iit is very very unlikely that 7 million Americans, with or without foreign dual citizenship, are tax dodgers.  So any Americans reading this better forget about moving overseas and opening a bank account in many western countries because you simply cannot thanks to Obama and his IRS.  If I were an American living overseas and my banster betrayed me causing financial loss I'd be tempted to off him.

Or possibly, NSA survellance has weeded out the "who's with us" via email and conversations.  Those not with the program or who offended TPTB with questions will probably be silenced.  Govts globally will take the banks to task, ask questions in courtroom setting.  I think the good guys are dying right now unfortunately.  If you are a good guy in a high place, take a hike to a high mountain and lose yourself into some friendly sherka village until the trials begin. Write a book, make a fortune, change your identity and blend in with some crowd in your favorite climate.  By now, there should be a fund in place for whistleblowers, an underground railroad in the very least.

I'm pretty spooked by all these odd deaths. I've adapted as best I can by driving a tired-looking '05 Honda, removing the firing pin and bolt from my nail gun, burying them separately, and finally printing up a batch of "I'm not a banker" T-shirts.

Of course riddles surround him. The fictitious story doesn't hold water. This story is sinking like a ship. So stop playing tick-tack-toe, grab your gear and your tack and gear yourself up to change course towards the wind at an angle or tack to use another term. The gears are gonna grind to a halt because course changes now are as tough as hard tack

We got 36 dead bankers out of how many bankers in total? Does it include everyone working in a bank?
The USA got about 7,540 banks, there are 192 countries in the world. Thats a lot of bankers...

Sadly, given recent trends, the default assumption is that it is suicide until proven otherwise which is just as disturbing from a sociological perspective. (on the bright side, at least as far as we know, we was not involved in HFT) but further to that, this is not the first ABN Amro seniot executve to be found dead. In 2009, Schmittmann's former CFO was found dead from shitgum wounds:
