Time's Top 10 Photos Of 2014

Tyler Durden's picture

When it comes to picking it annual "Person of the Year", Time magazine has - over its history - left a little to be desired, although perhaps this year is different, when moments ago Time announced its 2014 award would go to the apolitical "Ebola Fighters." That said, there will as usual be those who are both delighted and disappointed with the choice.

Still, while one can debate Time's decision-making when it comes to condensing the entire year into just one individual, when it comes to picking its 10 top photos of the year, the magazine has had a far better track record.

So here, with far less controversy, are Time's Top 10 Photos of 2014

Ellen DeGenerese, Hollywood, California. March 2, 2014

Whitney Curtis, Ferguson, Mo. Aug.11, 2014

Never underestimate the power of propaganda.

I'm sure that little cheap mask will protect him.

"This 1995 study conducted by the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRID), entitled "Lethal experimental infections of rhesus monkeys by aerosolized Ebola virus" clearly warned of Ebola's ability to spread through the air.

The abstract concluded by saying:

Demonstration of fatal aerosol transmission of this virus in monkeys reinforces the importance of taking appropriate precautions to prevent its potential aerosol transmission to humans.

(Cached version here:https://archive.today/gQe5S)

In 2010 a study entitled "The survival of filoviruses in liquids, on solid substrates and in a dynamic aerosol" was conducted by the British government's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Full doc here). The study found that Ebola Zaire can be viable at infectious levels in aerosols for at least an hour and half at temperatures just above freezing. They also discovered that in that same temperature range, Ebola could persist on glass and plastic surfaces for over three weeks and on glass surfaces for at least 50 days. Previous research conducted at FSU had established that Ebola could live on surfaces for at least 6 days.

The fact that temperature plays such a key role in the durability of the virus could have significant implications for containment in colder climates.

Also see this study conducted in 2004 by USAMRID entitled "Marburg and Ebola viruses as aerosol threats." Download the full document here.

Another study conducted in 2012 showed that Ebola was able to travel between pigs and monkeys that were in separate cages and were never placed in direct contact.

One of the scientists involved, Dr. Gary Kobinger, from the National Microbiology Laboratory at the Public Health Agency of Canada, told BBC News that he believed that the infection was spread through large droplets that were suspended in the air.

"What we suspect is happening is large droplets; they can stay in the air, but not long; they don't go far," he explained. "But they can be absorbed in the airway, and this is how the infection starts, and this is what we think, because we saw a lot of evidence in the lungs of the non-human primates that the virus got in that way."

Here is the original Canadian study that the BBC was referencing.

The website of the Public Health Agency of Canada made a statement dating back to at least October 28th 2011 which also confirmed that Ebola was capable of spreading through the air. The page stated that "1 - 10 aerosolized organisms are sufficient to cause infection in humans". They also stated that "In the laboratory, infection through small-particle aerosols has been demonstrated in primates, and airborne spread among humans is strongly suspected". (Secondary cached version here)

The Canadian government stood by that statement for three years, but for reason they changed the page sometime between August 22nd and August 27th of 2014 and they remove the references to airborne spread among humans. Fortunately Archive.org has multiple cached versions of the page.

We also have this article from CIDRAP (The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy) which states the following:

We believe there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles both near and at a distance from infected patients, which means that healthcare workers should be wearing respirators, not face masks.

Interestingly Ebola's ability to spread through the air has also attracted the interest of the U.S. military. This article from the Army Times confirms this.

Filoviruses like Ebola have been of interest to the Pentagon since the late 1970s, mainly because Ebola and its fellow viruses have high mortality rates — in the current outbreak, roughly 60 percent to 72 percent of those who have contracted the disease have died — and its stable nature in aerosol make it attractive as a potential biological weapon."

Or the "gold-woven shirt" guy from India with the gold chains to match.

I'm only awaiting one picture at this point, honestly- the "Deer in Headlights".  Feels like it's going to make an appearance sometime in the next few months.

Bunkerville is much more important than Ferguson. In Bunkerville, the militarized, federalized police were held off by ARMED CITIZENS who stood up firmly but peacefully, for their rights. And they WON.

Why is Bunkerville not mentioned? Because everyone there was WHITE. They didn't riot and loot and make idiots out of themselves. They didn't burn police cars. They simply, calmly POINTED THEIR GUNS AT THE POLICE and said, "YOUR TYRANNY STOPS HERE."

And the police backed off.

In Ferguson, they rioted, looted, made themselves look like orangutangs, and never once did they relinquish their victomhood status. The result: They actually lost MORE freedom.

White Mormon rednecks don't fit the propaganda as well as urban Communist Blacks. That's the reason Bunkervile isn't in the news.

Both good points, IMO. In support of both of you: go back and watch the video of the Donetsk "rebel" holding up the teddy bear, after "looting" the site of MH17. Then look at the pictures and accompanying press, if this does not open your eyes, nothing will.

Yet, the poor Palestinian child in the foreground certainly seems to have been murdered in the picture above.

Quite frankly, its just fucked up on every level.

I disagree.  Illuminati puppets are very relevant in today's society, more than you know.  They push the agenda and the propaganda.  Have you watched a music video lately?  very disturbing, all of them, full of symbols of the illuminati, the pyramid hand sign, baphomet, 666, the eye, etc.  Hollywood and the fashion industry are promoting the NWO and they are making marshall law look cool and sexy.  Teaching our kids to be hypersexual and that they can't rely on their families for anything.  Very very relevant.

Good job Hollyweird.  We love you.

It's called parenting, and there is a sad lack of it in this day and age.

Agree with your points listed, some subtle and some so in your face it's a small wonder more people don't wake up to what is going on. Even some of the players that claim to be "christian" are caught up in it.

Someone makes a gesture, I don't care. does not affect my life, thinking or values.

You assume much, all errant, such as a simple hand gesture can brainwash people.

Obviously if I recognize it I am not easily swayed.  The issue is they start with kids, and they are easily swayed, if their parents aren't vigilant.  There are a lot of ignorant parents out there, many of them with brains like sieves.  Disney is the worst of all, yet everyone believes disney is wholesome fun.  It does brainwash people and desensitizes them, especially kids.  I see teenagers walking down the street with clothes and backpacks full of pentograms and baphomets.  They are obviously being swayed.  I'm not talking about you or I, I'm talking about the masses.  In particular my point was that these hollywood actors and musicians deserve to be on this Time list because they are a huge part of the current agenda.

That picture of lake oroville in California is no joke. I live 30 minutes away and wow. It's not entirely due to the drought as our dear leaders have sold most of northern Californians water to those parasites who live in the middle of a fucking dessert and expect us to supply them with their water. Redistribution of other peoples property or resources always fails. If all of Socal dried up and went away I would throw a fucking party.
